I suppose the colors look a bit like Sapphira's hair, but she's probably gonna be in the Dragon Den field which looks a lot redder than that. I was leaning toward Anna since the purple is reminiscent of Psychic type and the stars look like the Starlight Arena field which are probably what Anna is gonna have.

My first thoughts are that it is either an NPC in a postgame sidequest, or some ancient guardian-type spirit deep in the Citae Arc-d'Astrae(though the dialogue and background don't really seem fitting for that).

It's not post game. If you note milotic is lv 100 without any exp, and we know that in postgame we will go beyond the lv 100.

True, although there might be a quest/event that we have to do first that allows us to bypass lvl 100 which comes after this battle. Lin's been hyped up to be the champion and I doubt she'll give us some type of qualification that allows us to exceed lvl 100 seeing that she likely dies after our battle; though the Grand Hall could award us with such a thing, idk. I'm expecting it to be something like the DJ Arclight Mega Z-ring quest.

It could also be a Victory Road battle, I believe the trainers there are based on old community members and/or teams from the original online league which could explain the gamer-like language and the ghost-like appearance seeing that those people aren't likely to be around in the community no more. Lvl 100 seems a bit to late in the game to introduce a new trainer class unless they is related to a specific location(which I can't think of one that fits from main story locations that we know about but are yet to explore(besides Victory Road)).

Wait, does Fern actually know the word “drastic”? I would think he’d be a lot blunter with middle names (“murder”, “stabber”, “psycho”…). Then again, who else could it be? 
 

actually everyone wants root fossils because they give root access to the game and avoid the gut punches of the Reshiram branch. That or Florinia made a deal with the RNG to encourage more people to appreciate Cradily. 
 

I really thought the “tilted”… entity was someone (or something) going One-Winged Angel, but there’s no way this would happen without a field.

Remember that you can destroy a Crystal Field if you use certain moves 4 times, and you can temporaly terminate the Starlight Arena if there is a weather active, except for wind

Out of curiosity what controllers will be compatible with Reborn once e19 releases?

I'm wondering if some rosters got changed.  I'm making my own version of the trainers.txt file to blend into the final one.  Essentially, I'm making the beginning important battles tougher, giving the important trainers and battles the EV, items, and moveset treatment.  Just wondering so I can account for possible changes in advance.

I'm pretty sure any PC or laptop is capable of mapping keys to any form of controller input.  So any controller is capable playing any game as long as it's mapped properly in the settings.  Could be wrong though.  Never done it myself, just remember a friend of mine told me that when I asked him.

I am slightly concerned. 

Normally, the initial hype from a post would die down for me and I could go the rest of the month pretty chill.

...The hype has not died. Finding it more difficult than normal to curb my excitement for the next episode. 

Also new battlefield and fighting what seems to be spirits of fallen soldiers. Sweet. Can't wait to unpack the story behind those.

Figured he’d Fern up eventually. Let’s just hope he won’t refern. You all saw how ferious Ame was. So mad she ripped apart her Fern coat. I’m of course referning to the time when he unleashed a rain of fernips during the ferternity meeting. And that’s not even mentioning the time he ferled up all the rugs for the VIP train carts.

EDIT: How he’s a fernel in Team Meteor is beyond me. Yeah, everyone there finds him inferniating, even Blake. I bet when Lin gets Arceus, she’s gonna unleash an inferno on his ass.

From the way it's worded, my first impression was... Taka. There's some dialogue in Tourmaline desert that's worded very similarly. And it would also make sense for him to talk about Titania and her "drastic measures". So maybe, they've changed some dialogue from previous scenes...

I've been like silently lurking around since about version 15/16, and the fact that the game's gonna get finished soon(TM)... it's kinda insane! The level of hype that I've been feeling has been wild lmao. It feels like I've checked the dev blog once a week for the last two years, it's always super cool to see new updates :)

As much as i would LOVE to be released already, i think it will be around may/june (which is not bad... its around the mid-year vacations (im a math teacher so yeah, totally agree lol)
