  1. This looks really promising, can't wait to play this. And that map looks so huge, I'm surprised the game will only have 10 gyms. Since you mentioned Drayano, will you add the option of choosing between vanilla version (no changes to pokemon) and the rebalanced version (with your changes) like he did with his hacks?
  2. Edo

    Teknite Ridge?

I'm pretty sure you get there from outside. There was one area that has Strength boulders on those pillars, if you make your way to the left there should be another entrance to the cave that leads to that room.
  3. Not possible with Taka. But you can return as soon as you reach the centre inside the scrapyard, cause then you'll be alone again, so no need to wait for destiny. I haven't tried it, but maybe you can leave the desert from the train station where you met him? Though you'd probably automatically pair up with him again as soon as you return to the desert.
  4. Don't focus on putting something mega-evolvable on the team, just keep it in mind as an option, because the Mega ring is available shortly before the end of the game so you will hardly even use it. But this game is very, very long so just build your team however you want or with whatever you need until you get it.
  5. For Reborn, probably when walking through the desert with Taka, but I also love the Sandy quest. There should be more moments like this where you just fool around. As for Rejuvenation, the Goomink quest is definitely my favorite part, and the Ana quest is great as well, even though that one isn't finished yet. Also the few underwater battles are really memorable for me. It might sound weird, but especially those got kinda stuck in my mind because they were such clutch moments.
  6. I finally played through this episode, and it was such a beautiful little game. I would absolutely love it if another such episode were to ever be released.
  7. Glad to hear that. For Kecleon's EVs, Att EVs were basically mandatory, or else I imagine it would've been really weak. As for the defensive EVs, a specialized mon performs a certain role much better than an average one, so increasing the already high SpDef makes Kecleon a better special tank. HP would've been a good alternative and helped tank some physical hits, but from the start I planned to give it Assault Vest which profits more from higher SpDef. By the way, the last rule about no boosting was just optional, it's not really part of this challenge's idea, so you didn't need to follow it. But now that you did, you can be even prouder of yourself haha
  8. Hey, how about also asking on the Reborn subreddit? There are quite a few fans there as well, sometimes even people with a less positive view on the game, which could also be interesting for your thesis. https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonReborn/
  9. There should be one in the Celestine/Ametrine mountain area. I think it's where the big icy rock for evolving Glaceon is, but better search for the exact location on Google, And unless you have the Mining mod, Ice stones can't even be found in mining rocks.
  10. Oh nice, good job. Your team's looking good. How was Piloswine? Looks pretty nice with eviolite and Snow veil.
  11. Outspeeding her might be difficult, half of her team is really fast, thanks to perfect EVs, IVs and nature that all leaders have from Charlotte onwards. I had a Lycanroc when I first played as well, and Accelrock was definitely helpful. But how I see it, you already have what you need to beat Charlotte. Honestly, I think you'll be good with your current team, no need to train up anything this late in the game. And there are hardly better alternatives for what you already have, it wouldn't pay off to change anything. The only thing you seem to lack is perfecting your natures and EVs.
  12. Well, since you can't change natures now, and if you don't have the Power Anklet for the EV training, you could replace Flamethrower for now. You get the TM from Charlotte after beating her anyway, and Fire Pledge is only slightly weaker than Flamethrower. You can cycle between Flamethrower/Nature Power with the TMs as well. But if I were you, sometime later I'd replace Flame Charge and EV train in Speed and give it a speed increasing nature. And if you teach Araquanid Sticky Web, Typhlosion will definitely outspeed everything, so one more reason to ditch Flame Charge. Yeah just change it, Ampharos and Discharge will likely not be as helpful for that fight as you hope. Better go for effective moves like Rock Slide and Earthquake. I like the team you currently have and wouldn't replace anyone. But I haven't used all of them, so I can't say with certainty that this would be the best team, hence why I told you to go with whatever you feel like were the best so far. If you have the Psychic Memory, then Silvally will make for a much bulkier Psychic mon than Meowstic anyway. And the true worth of male Meowstic lies in setting up Reflect/Light Screen with Prankster, so unless you want to use it for that, don't bother with it. And by the way, with Parting Shot Silvally can be a great support as well.
  13. If you want a team of 6, you should keep those that you feel have performed best in your opinion. If the performed good until now, they will also do so for the rest of the game. And since you have Silvally, you have more freedom in your team's composition because it can take different typings. I'd give Lycanroc Drill Run for better coverage. Rock Slide is better against Charlotte anyway, if you waste a turn setting SRocks Lycanroc will be defeated immediately. But if you use Rain Dance Prankster Meowstic it would work. I don't know how good non-Water moves are on Araquanid, but I think Sticky Web would be better than keeping Crunch. You should consider changing Noivern's ability to Infiltrator, Telepathy doesn't help you at all. Also you could teach Typhlosion Fire Pledge and change that of Silvally to another Pledge move so you can create either a Burning Field (Grass Pledge) or the Rainbow Field (Water Pledge) to help with difficult battles. Burning Field would go really well with Typhlosion's Flash Fire and Eruption. But the rest of your team would benefit more from the Rainbow Field, especially Noivern (boosted damage) and Lycanroc (double flinch chance).
  14. Thank you Good luck, and feel free to post your own team here after you're finished. Nah, I want to concentrate on my studies right now. But when E19 comes out, I might pick this up again to finish it.
  15. Thanks MVP was definitely Kecleon, closely followed by Togedemaru. Those two carried most of the weight in my opinion, getting me through tough situations the others couldn't. Dugtrio and Azumarill were great as well, but I feel like I relied much less on them during late game, which was unarguably the most difficult part.
  16. Nah, in my opinion Pidgeot isn't worth it. Underwhelming 80 base Attack and 70 base SpAtt, so even with Hurricane or Brave Bird it's probably not gonna do much damage. And for support it doesn't have much options, it's movepool is really small. Tailwind, and maybe Sand Attack and Feather Dance, look like the only helpful moves to me. Defog might be good for competitive play, but in Reborn it's rather needless.
  17. I wonder if Ciel/Samson really die or are just sent to the Void like everyone at the Glass Factory when the black hole was created. Anna's dialogue changing so much is really interesting, it could indicate that the story in E19 might differ quite a bit depending on if you're on the Zekrom or Reshiram route and whether you defeated Solaris or not at Pyrous Mountain. It's almost like her panicked reaction foreshadows a bad ending.
  18. Update #19 At last, this is the final update. Enjoy the last two battles. There isn't much to comment on those. They were pretty easy, so I was done after like one or two tries, hence why my plays seem kinda bad sometimes, but whatever. Battle VS: Solaris Batlle VS: Hardy And with this, I’m finally done. This was my first challenge run ever and it was really fun. Also thanks to everyone for all the advice and suggestions.
  19. Haha sorry, I kinda thought you meant the whole game in general after E18 release, not just episode 18 specifically. I only know of two other things that trigger a difference in E18. First is whether you give Blake the Ruby ring or not. Since giving it to him means you don't have to fight Aster at Ametrine Mountain, you'll instead fight him at the Glass Workshop. Second is depending on if you battled Taka at WTC. If yes, Titania won't be at Agate helping against Team Meteor because she'll stay behind to take care of Amaria. If you didn't battle him, she will be there and fight them.
  20. Wow, I didn't even know that the dialogue there changes so much. Maybe it depends on your relationship points to Anna or Radomus? The part mentioned by Kenneth about battling Taka is the biggest story branching in Reborn so far. Also the story part with Corey is a little different depending on whether you found all the missing police men or not. If you do, after the Pulse fight he will be caught by the police and his identity as part of Team Meteor is exposed to Heather. Following that, the police will show up at his gym and the field you battle him on is the Corrosive Mist Field. But if you don't find all the police men, they won't appear at all, Heather doesn't find out his secret and you battle on the normal Corrosive field.
  21. Vivillon might have been really good, but I didn't want to train too many pokemon, it just feels too tedious for me after Lv 50. Just tried several at first to see which will do best and slowly narrowed it down. From halfway into the game I basically only had a team of 6, with Pachirisu occasionally there for Double Battles and the latecomer Tangela because I wanted to at least try something with Eviolite.
  22. I definitely spent too much time thinking about what a Reverse Leader is, my brain is so slow sometimes Anyway, I like the idea of a Mercylocke, nuzlocking these games normally is just torture.
  23. Donphan was amazing in my first playthrough. Sturdy+Scary Face helped me so much with all those boss battles, I don't think my team could've beaten Garchomp, Arceus or the others without him.
  24. Edo

    Corey's Pokemon?

I don't think that Skrelp and Mareanie are available yet.
  25. From my current run, Kecleon has definitely been the MVP. Before, I always thought that it's really weak, but surprisingly it performed the best out of my whole team. Best part was predicting the opponents move and using Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch to change type so the opponent will do little damage, and thanks to that priority it doesn't matter that it's so slow, or use Trick Room. It can learn lots of TMs and good moves from tutors or breeding, does decent damage and has very good SpDef. And, though I didn't use it, with Power-up Punch it's even more dangerous.
