  1. It's still there, but only if the weather is clear or sunny. Goldeen learns Water Pulse at lvl 16 I think, so if you swap it into a Charge Beam the Water Pulse will become stronger. It can easily defeat at least half of Julia's team
  2. What I first noticed is that you only have damaging moves. Try to also use status moves. Thunder Wave (Ampharos), Light Screen and Reflect (Meowstic) for example are very helpful. Especially in Reborn you'll also need status moves, only damaging moves won't help you much. Like already said, focus on one pokemon. Also try to immobilize/weaken one pokemon so it won't be much of a threat anymore and leave it alone, then focus on the other side and defeat her whole team one by one. For example: Don't kill her Toxapex until the end, it has low attack, so it can't do much damage during the battle. Sleep is good if you can repeatly induce it, but I prefer paralysis because it not only has a chance to stop the paralysed mon, it also slows it down and is permanent. You could also weaken the attack stat with Charm to keep the damage low.
  3. You could do it if you install the Mining Overhaul Mod. Iirc it adds all evolution stones
  4. A later notice mentioned that the problem was somehow caused by the server itself, so we're supposed to shame the server
  5. Slowking would be nice. Also since you're basically limited to Water typed physical attacks, having something with Psyshock could be helpful when your opponent has a special tank with resistance to Water or Electric. Jellicent might be good, too. Immune to Fighting and has Water Spout, while your opponents are super slow. Blastoise with Torrent+Water Spout underwater would be as devastating as Typhlosion with Flash Fire+Eruption on Burning Field.
  6. From my experience, Underwater teams can easily be defeated by turning the field to Murkwater Surface. I remember there being like two or three such battles in Rejuvenation, and I almost lost each one until I sent my Tentacruel in. With Sludge Wave I changed the field which caused huge passive damage every turn to my opponents, and with Dive I stalled for time. I somehow managed to beat them with only Tentacruel. So you should plan something to counter this, like putting a Poison or Steel type in your team, or use Whirlpool which changes Murkwater to normal Water Surface and is boosted underwater as well. Other things I could think of: - Ferrothorn/Forretress since Fire attacks don't work (Scizor would be bad due to physical attacks being weaker) - Wash Rotom with Electro Ball. It's faster and has higher SpAtt than Lanturn - Water Absorb Seismitoad/Quagsire: immune to both Electric and Water (since Water types lose their Water resistance on the field) - Lapras with Water absorb and Thunderbolt
  7. Update #10 With the 10th badge in the bag I can finally use Surf. After getting the TMX from Titania I headed towards Calcenon City together with Cain, Hardy and Aya. Unfortunately we got split up on the way so I and Aya were on our own. While we were making our way through Route 3, we ended up inside a hidden Team Meteor Base. At its end we encountered Aster and Eclipse. They like putting up screens at the beginning, so I immediately got rid of them with Brick Break. Afterwards it was a pretty straight forward fight. I dealt with Aster’s team first so that it became a 2 on 1 against Eclipse. And now, it’s finally time for Charlotte. Using Rain Dance is the way to go here as it weakens her Fire moves’ power drastically, making her no threat at all anymore, especially if the rain is brought up again after she sent in her Ninetales. Effortlessly defeated her that way. Buuut that would be too easy, I thought, so I decided to do it the hard way and beat her without such a cheap tactic or by changing her field. Battle VS: Charlotte Beating her required lots of trial and error. Since her attacks are so strong that surviving even one hit can be difficult, I needed to find an ideal way through this. Dugtrio easily one-shots Typhlosion and Darmanitan, but Charlotte always sends out Ninetails next, which is not only faster than Dugtrio and kills it in one hit, but also survives Earthquake due to its raised Defense from the Seed and immediately counter-kills Dugtrio with the Shell Trap effect. Kecleon and Azumarill barely survive even one turn of Heat Waves and can’t reliably kill Charlotte’s pokemon, so it was mandatory that Dugtrio survives as long as possible. That’s why I needed two things: extra damage to take out Ninetails and stop it from attacking Dugtrio. For the extra damage Stealth Rocks is almost perfect, since it helps me kill Volcarona in one turn which can also live through Earthquake at full HP. But that wasn’t enough to deal with Ninetails. Fake Out or Quash with Sableye could have stopped it, but still wouldn’t have killed it. Fortunately with Prankster I could land Swagger first, and the Confusion damage was high enough to get rid of Ninetails in one turn, which also prevented the Shell Trap to trigger. Because Delphox was faster than Dugtrio, I had to use Sucker Punch that turn. After Aqua Jet took care of Delphox and only Rotom was left, I had basically already won the battle.
  8. Okay, so Budew will appear in one of the first parts of the city which you can explore, the Peridot Ward. Before you can get it you will need to have a Rose Incense in your bag. There's a female trainer in the Lower Peridot Ward who will give it to you after you beat her and talk to her again after that. Budew will appear on a wall in the Northern Peridot Ward if the weather is clear or sunny. When you try talking to it, it will join you immediately, no need to battle and catch it.
  9. Ditto: After 4th gym (static encounter) Budew: Before first gym (static encounter) Fomantis: After 2nd gym (in grass) Is this your first time playing, or have you already completed the game once and want to replay it? I can further elaborate how to find those pokemon but don't want to spoiler you too much if you haven't played it yet.
  10. It's for Rejuvenation, there's a puzzle in the first gym that has those big tubes with different colors and you have to mix them to get a certain colour to proceed to the next room.
  11. Update #9 Again not much content until Samson, just a few trainers. After meeting Terra, Cain and me arrived at Agate Circus where we also found the unconscious Aya. Went to Route 2 in search of Hardy and found him at his sister's home. Titania gave me the first Battle Pass for challenging Samson, so I returned to the circus. Battle VS: Samson Since I didn't have much of a strategy against him, I expected the battle to be more difficult, but fortunately I won after only a few tries. Ghost types are immune to most of his ''Striker'' moves, so using them strips Samson of his main advantage. Got pretty lucky with the para-hax against Lucario and Blaziken. Against Hawlucha I unnecessarily used Nuzzle (out of habit), I should've just gone straight for Zing Zap.
  12. No it has EVs in Attack and Speed, but with Sturdy it survives every hit with 1HP if at full health, so it doesn't need to have them in defense.
  13. I also think that the offensive boosts totally outweigh the defensive ones, and some fields are just crazy, like Psychic Terrain or Big Top Arena. When I first played Rejuvenation I planned on making a team based on the defensive boosts of the Misty terrain since it has so many, but that didn't work well, mostly because those benefits are seperate and don't stack. Very often the opponents still managed to tear through my defenses. Other fields I think are quite interesting: - The Fairy Tale field has lots of defense boosts activated by abilities or moves. - Poison based fields can easily be used for poison stall tactics. especially Murkwater Surface which can deal lots of passive damage. - Underwater halves damage for all physical attacks except Water.
  14. It's 18.2 For Hawlucha I have Togedemaru with Sturdy, so that's actually not a problem. Glasscannons can easily be dealt with since you don't need much power to KO them, the problematic ones are the bulky mons that easily survive your hits but take you out in one shot. Yeah every move that increases stats, even Accuracy and Evasion. Only exception is Crit chance (Focus Energy) cause that's a different system. Good luck! It's definitely interesting trying out mons you would never consider otherwise.
  15. It's the SWM Modpack Well technically he didn't ignore it, he tried it on the second run, then immediately forgot for his next try though
  16. Teach your Typhlosion Eruption, it learns it at level 1 as well so the move relearner can teach it. If you pair this with a Grass mon with Grassy terrain, like Roserade or Florges, it will be boosted even further, against grounded opponents at least.
  17. I used a Curse Steelix in my first playthrough, very strong defense and offense, especially in Mega form. Had EVs in HP and SpDef, so it could even tank special hits decently.
  18. Yes, just talk to him repeatedly until he offers it
  19. As far as I know it's completely random, there's no circumstances influencing it, just talk to the vendor/vending machine until the Blue Moon appears in the menu.
  20. Well you only need the green (second) Crystal Key that you get in Iola Valley, so you can go get the Yureyu Key and catch Rotom even before Luna. I usually give my offense oriented mons Metronome to hold, that's why the second Zing Zap did enough damage. For being such a good item it's surprisingly early purchasable in the Department Store (Floor 3) and really helps ramp up the damage. Against Luna I had to always watch out for Sucker Punch, lost so many times just because of that attack. Especially at that moment I just knew she would use it, so I intentionally kept using Nature Power since it's a status move so Sucker Punch couldn't trigger. She could've easily beaten me if she had killed Magcargo since none of my other team members would've lived another attack, not even Dugtrio at full health.
  21. 1. That one's always shiny 2. Shiny rate in this game is 1%, so you're gonna encounter lots of them
  22. Update #8 Not much happened this episode, should contain more story to do in my opinion.
  23. Angie is fought on the Frozen Dimensional Field, not an Icy field. Best way to make sure which field you're on is to check the message/statement that appears right at the start of the battle. On Icy field it says "The field is covered in ice.", but against Angie "Hate and anger radiates" appears. The sentences in the manual may differ slightly though, maybe because they were changed after new updates but not in the manual, though that shouldn't change anything in game.
  24. Arcanine is more versatile and especially good for Doubles. Eruption hits really hard, but Typhlosion doesn't have anything else going for it. I think it's just overrated in Reborn due to a certain fight you have yet to reach. This. Usually they aren't even used in the same way. Even if you were to use Arcanine offensively, you'd probably use it physically and Typhlosion specially, though Arcanine can be a mixed attacker. But overall I'd prefer Arcanine since Typhlosion's Speed and SpAtt are just a tiny bit higher, not significantly, while Arcanine is much bulkier and more versatile in both defense and offense.
  25. I think it's a waste not giving the Life Orb to Nidoqueen, since Sheer Force cancels out the HP loss while still maintaining the 30% boost. Maybe give the Wise Glasses to Magnezone or Volcarona instead, and the Leftovers to Swampert, since its so bulky. But with Volcarona's Calm nature and Quiver Dance its a good SpDef Wall, so Leftovers and Giga Drain would be nice as well. Swarm might be better than Flame Body because it can't survive many physical attacks anyway. Swampert's base speed is really low, so it isn't benefitting much from a Jolly nature, you could change it to something that increases its defenses like Impish or Careful, or go for Adamant for more Attack and make up for taking the Life Orb away, maybe give it Muscle Band. Also its ability Damp will rarely help you, while Torrent can be useful in every battle.
