  1. The question is less if the Puppetmaster (currently) wants to help us with his actions, and more how and in what way his help of the Player, Melia, Aelita etc. is supposed to help him, and whether thats a good thing or not, thats why Puppetmaster types are very hard to trust, there is always an ulterior motive. That's my main distrust on Crescent to, sure she safes the Player's skin a few times (although she pulls BS on the revive on Valor Mountain.... the 2 people she seperatly "brings back" both are able to do so under their own power apparently, atleast if Damian is to be believed about Nim) but why does she want them in Aevium anyway, and away from Melia (unless she is REALLY good a reverse psychology), it was her call to move the Player to Aevium. Crescent = Nymeria? eeeeh it's not impossible i guess... but the skin tone is actually way off. Edit: also not quite sure what you mean with Cella/Cera? Cella is Eldest, i thought the game makes that pretty clear
  2. That's what i meant really, not quite sure where the Puppetmaster stands, in general, an Enigma. Crescent has a similiar issue to me, but with Crescent we at least can be sure she is against Team Xen if nothing else... still only trust her about as far as I can throw her Mewtwo without dieing. But i somewhat doubt that the Puppetmaster wanted Melia and Erin (well he might not have cared about Erin in particular) dead, at least immediatly so, his type wouldn't be this direct about this, but considering the whole of Nightmare City and all he probably knew all about Flora's Plan. I am about 70% that the tickets weren't an assassination attempt, but has probably a more indirect reason... we really don't know enough about the guy to say anything definitiv, i think.
  3. The Speed room (and the HP room for that matter) are unlocked by default
  4. Funny you should mention "perfect memory" people have often expressed surprise at how much random stuff i remember, i have been called a "wandering lexicon" on various topics, but often small facts that others deem important, don't seem that important to me, like that age thing. But yeah Thanks for the welcome, and if hadn't at least glimpsed at the rules by now i'd be kinda doing it wrong Yo!
  5. Thats's... wow i NEVER noticed that, and yeah giving like 4 moves extra rock typing is about 50% off what Reborn's chess field does... seriously that field may as well not exist. That kinda reinforces my feeling that Rejuv would benefit from having ingame Field effect readout's like Reborn, it has a txt. file in the Downloadfolder but... i only ever look in there if something wierd happens tbh
  6. Well this guy IS lucky if nothing else, isn't he? though for PULSE Muk it really helped that Umbreon was basically free to set up on. As for Kiki as Azery pointed out, half of Kiki's team (Machamp, Toxicroak & Gallade) only has strength as their Fighting STAB (actually does it get STAB? or does it still count as normal for that? and if it does, does it get double STAB from Gallade?) which being a wierd Fighting/Psychic Move any Dark Type is just straight immune too, so the best move on these 3 vs. Mightyena is Rockslide, Poisonjab, and both of those respectively, odd huh? In the same vein, the only straight Psychic Move on Kiki's Team is Lucario's Psychic, everyone else has strength(it hits neutral albeit with a field boost vs.Poison) for that (or nothing in the case of Hitmonlee), meaning, the Swalot might take the attacks better then one would think, though i still doubt it can absorb everything. Speaking off Swalot, while reaching PULSE Swalot would be a massive accomplishment, i'd love to see that, just in a taste your own medicine kind off way. Back to Kiki, speedwise we are looking at Hitmonlee being the fastest with 96 speed before Unburden 192 after (20 IVs 60 Ev and Jolly) then we have Lucario with 104 Medicham at 97, Gallade & Toxicroak both with 84 and lastly Machamp with 59, sooo just for information, priority Wise Hitmonlee has 1 Normalgem Fake out, and Toxicroak has Suckerpunch (yes i tend to analyse stuff like that and ramble, sorry not sorry)
  7. Considering the Title of the next Version and just how wierd that place looks, i'd guess thats some sort of Puppetmaster alternate World, like Nightmare City (well duuuh), The Green(ish) on that Building...thing? is the exact same tone as Bladestars color, and then there is Kenneth... what is even going on with Kenneth? So at a guess Puppetmaster messing with the Interceptor and probably Aelita (because Kenneth) again, to what end? who even knows, the guy is an Enigma, wrapped in Mystery, hidden behind a Secret
  8. Sooo yeah that happenend, guess i should Introduce myself before it's way to late, so i go by Falirion which was a character name in an MMO that just became so intrinsic to my online Persona that i just stuck with it, my friends generaly shortened it to Fali. I am german but generaly grew up with both English and German, so I ended up with English beeing more comfortable to me, somehow. As my posthistory and the fact that i make this post like half a month after i actually joined the forum shows, i am rather scatterbrained and can get lost in discussions when they interrest me, in which case I look into the topics deeply. I found Reborn a few years ago, couldn't tell you how many as i am not good with paying attention to time, (seriously, i once had to think about how old I AM when asked, which would be 25 right now) but i started with E16 and V9 of Rejuv, and lurked ever since. Well what changed then? Don't know, just figured i might aswell get a Forum account and join in, so to speak. Despite me just jumping into various Discussions and how open I may sound writing here I am quite shy in Person or rather strange would be the more correct term, i guess. For Games outside of Pokemon i enjoy mainly other RPGs, Western and JRPGs alike, also sometimes Strategy. Finally as a warning I sometimes. especially when explaining something or thinking through something. don't really watch my tone, and may come of rude (hence the perpetual warningsign in my sig) but I generally really don't mean to insult anyone. So hope we can get along
  9. ALL RIGHT THAT'S IT!... my stupid excel sheet. that I spend WAY to much time on is getting cleaned up and shared if nothing else than to help the poor poor fanfiction writers to figure out which Grunts exist, how oftern they interact with the player and which canonically die... srsly though if you are really going to do that, it's actually more work than it sounds... believe me...
  10. Tyrogue is "baby" pokemon, and can not be breed at all, you would have to evolve it, and breed what you evolve it into with ditto, unlike most other baby pokemon you don't need a specific incense to get a Tyrogue egg (atleast i don't think)
  11. Yeah the AI partners for these Multi-Battles are NOT going to carry their own weight at all will they... (Loking at you, Flobot & Aya, to a lesser extent Miss Boomtime aswell). 2 mon run... maybe, but A-Ninetales from the Mystery Egg, i don't think that works, I am not sure but it's possible that you have to have at least 2 mons by your first mandatory doubles battle, (I know main-series games can get wonky if you try to start a doubles fight with only one mon. never tried how reborn reacts) which is... well the scraggy gang no? (I was thinking ZEL/Taka at first but then i remebered)
  12. Now Glitch field, seed wonder guard... that's interessting at least. what could one do against that, 1. same thing that makes shedninja a gimmick mon at best (because of it's 1 HP) indirect damage, Toxic, Burn, Sandstorm, Hail, Leech seed, Ghost Curse, etc. (thats why Wonder Guard doesn't really convince me in general, but this variant, i like, it's interessting) 2. you can phaze it to remove the seed effect. (3. you dump Gouda all over it, as you can with everything) it should be noted having things that can be done against something, is not a bad thing, there always is something, and there has to be obviously. The first thing in particular, is as doombot says a problem for anything that wants to be tanky, (because, i always explain everything as if nobody knew these things even though probably everyone does, might as well continue: all of these ignore defensive stats and do percentage damage mostly 1/8th or 1/16th which you could have 10000 hp, it wouldn't safe you) Rejuv gave an great example to that actually, (slight V12 sidequest spoilers) Glitch Field in particular would atleast likely give it good spatk, based on it's likely ridicolously high (unless it goes all in on wonder guard nonsense) spdef to possibly make it not as easily stallable, personally i still prefer magic guard or magic bounce personally
  13. Jan somewhere (or was it Zumi?) personally said that the very next version will include the Gen 8 Mons, and probably new Moves if there are any. In fact the Status Thread includes Progress bars for that. But it was stated they wouldn't include Dynamaxing and the like (for now anyway) sooo yeah. I don't think i used Z- Moves too much when running through Gen 7 soo dun know, i liked the games (I don't really expect challenge from main series games anymore, thats what fangames are for) As for gen 8 stuff, not really convinced about the Dynamaxing/Gigantimaxing thing, but I will see when games are out, (not necessarily myself, to poor for a switch). But i don't really see how the Mons could hurt, but i understand why Reborn doesn't include them, the game is way too close to completion to try and shoehorn those in, (finding areas to put them, updating teams too include them where they fit, code them and their new abilitys in, in the first place, spritework etc.) <.< woo just got the curve to get back on topic
  14. Well this certainly is an interesting idea for a run, some of the later mass battles are gonna need some powerful AoE won't they (Both Gauntlets, Aster&Eclipse3 + 4 for example) to get through 10-12 mons in 6 turns (or possibly 15-18 mons, just for the Teamkill bonus ) If PULSE Swalot and PULSE Avalug weren't both alone they might be problematic as well. considering just how tanky they are, but with 6 turns only for them they should be fine. There actually is a run that only uses 3 mons for the entire game, it's completed too.
  15. Well yes, it has been stated that E19 is indeed the last Episode and includes, the story conclusion as well as the League (probably interlocking here) as well as the entire postgame, infact that's all that's missing to it beeing done (which will still take a while) but up to the end of the Story is mostly done (according to Dev Blog), as for Gen 8 games... that isn't relevant, Ame, Cass and other's have stated that Gen 8 mons and mechanics will not make it into the final version of Reborn.
  16. Okay really not trying to be insulting or anything, but are you sure it's criting? Titania's Aegislash doesn't really need to crit to oneshot stuff, seeing as it can go to +6 attack in no time flat (+1 seed, +4 sword dance (field doubles the effect) with a free turn to do so from seed, +1 stance change). If it really is critting all the time, then yeah something is off, as nothing from the field or item should boost it's critrate. Edit: Incase you are saying it crits because it goes through any defence buffs you have, sacred sword ignores those (and evasion), sooo it's effectivly like a crit without the damage boost
  17. Right next to the Breelombot. i guess i could draw it XD X G X Let's say G is were the Ghastly want's to be, B ist the Bot, and P is the Player X B X X P X You basically run back and forth like this: P X X X X X X G X X B X --> P B G -->X B X and repeat, if you do this quick and for a bit the Ghastly breaks of into the rest of the room X G X X X X P X X Edit: found a Video of it:
  18. It's a little tough to explain, but it generally tries to keep the shut down breelombot between you and it right? So what you need to do from there is go to one side of the bot (left works for me) and go up and down there (quickly), you end up cutting of the Ghastly all the time, and after a bit it freaks out and just goes all over the place, at which point you can interact with it, after catching up with it.
  19. Getting a little of topic here but.... eeeh what evs Grant & Janis recognize the Player because they are also battled in Mosswater Factory, along with 18 other Grunts, all of which encountered at least one more time after that (actually more 3 times at least except for Grant & Janis) You have to realise that all the Meteor Grunts (and Orderlys and Cultists later) are distinct characters (I bet most people don't even notice the names) and all get seen at least twice, most more often than that, to underline the point: one Meteor Grunt in particular is battled 7 times thats one more time than both Fern and Cain (and more than Aster for that matter) which I think makes him the most commonly battled character in the game so far Maybe i really should share that excel sheet in some way, make a post about it or something, there are a few interesting things about this
  20. Not really anything to add to the viability of the set, but just on a more silly note,
  21. Actually for this set it is! (*nerdglasses* well actually... so sorry) there are if i remember right 3 seperate duo's of grunts pulling the rip off motto. but the 2 running the daycare (Grant & Janis) are actually not seen again since. (I have a whole excel sheet with the various grunts, yes i do weird projects when i am bored)
  22. Well... shows again i shouldn't assume, i figured it would be Night only because someone would have seen it (Right next to a TM!) if it was there all the time... oh well. I saw it on my most recent playthrough, so if i see any others that aren't here i will post (my previous main file had 104+ core, but that one was created during V9 sooo i think i got some double on that one)
  23. Why only Rift Gyara you ask? well Jan found it fit to put quite a few fights in the early game, that you are supposed to lose, story wise, to make sure you know how weak one is at the start (as oppossed to the battle machine or whatever later, not that pokemon battles matter in here *Cough*) and SOMEHOW rift Gyara is one of those (had to read that in the forum at some point and didn't believe it so i went to test it, you are in fact allowed to lose that one), hence it's still around later for that sidequest with Crawli (who if I remeber correctly can't get to the thing because him seeing through his bugs or something, which i don't get. can he not find it with the bug eyes? and if so what point is there to that then?). then there is also Melia Vs. Madelis (yes you play Melia for that battle, lv18 Togepi vs lv20 Houndoom doesn't take a genius to know how THAT goes) since V11 i think, Madelis' Shadow Mewtwo and of course Madam X and her edge-chicken, there are more "allowed to lose" battles but those are the ones the game basically assumes you lose either way (safe for some changed dialogue of course, but the win really doesn't matter). I would say that Venam would be the type to say that "if the pot calls the kettle black, the kettle is still freakin black" but that would imply some self-awareness she clearly doesn't have Yeah that's the Rift Garbo i know, ridicolously tanky (150/200/200 base bulk if i remember right) with a field that gives it free recovery, fun. in fact it's defenses at level 62 can be compared to some (relativly flimsy) level 100 mons, see spoiler for exact stats (ignore the poison heal ability, that is it's ability as of V12) slower than a snail but with that kind of bulk you don't need speed as for Melia's reaction... she literally was in the presence of the thing for at most 30 min or so AT MOST, but it's hers... i guess it's her mutated trashbag, but wow didn't realize she was that attached to the bag. (that's how this Garbo was created, for those that don't remember, Venam & Melia experimented with some myth that Trubbish come into beeing, through leaving trashbag's in Sewer Water to long, Venam 2 small ones, and Melia 1 BIG one, and they were right....) don't think i need to mention Melia beeing unthankful, thats par for the course a simple "Thanks, [Player] for helping safe(ing) my Garbodor Favorite Trashbag, i missed it in the last 3 years" or something would make her at least a little more bearable. As for her only having 5 mons currently, as of V12 that be 7 at this point in the game (even though later it's still mentioned she only has 5, that dialogue was overlooked in the rework i guess)
  24. I think you got that, but just to be clear, i meant the PMM providing the field in a flavour sense of why the field is there, there are no ways in game to generate mirror arena (thank God/Arceus/Ame for that! nobody needs random mirror arenas, i am only discussing that "field" here because it fits to well). But if it was possible, yeah that strat would be kinda disgusting. As for Magic Guard protecting from the shattering Mirrors, it should by how the Ability works, but i don't know actually if the game accounted for that... And i kinda do think there is gonna be someone backing the PMM up, because what's the point of Screens if you don't have a team to take advantage of them. Blake. Fern or maybe Sirius i guess. The ingame PULSE Dex has the same 3 blank spots, which is why people generally expect 3 more PULSEs, Mr. Mime and Clawitzer are a given, even if we don't necessarily fight them (see the cases of Hypno and Discount Primal Groudon Camerrupt). As for Nr.3 Evelyn in Calcenon talks about ArcPULSE, so thats why PULSE Arceus is generally assumed. But in the case that one remains theoretical... i wouldn't be surprised if Lin would turn her Hydreigon into a full PULSE, it's IS PULSE2 at the very least (for those that forgot, or skimmed Evelyn's Dialogue, PULSE2 basically means that all it's EVs are maxed, which is why Solaris' Mega Chomp was as unnaturally tanky as it was, that thing had 252/31 in everything) which does explain how it tanked the Dazzling Gleam of Ame's Alolatails, even if they were equal Level, even if just barely: 252 SpA Ninetales-Alola Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Hydreigon: 324-384 (83.5 - 98.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after hail damage
