I liked it. You wrote an event that happens in reborn without copying every sentence straight from the game. That way, while knowing roughly what will happen, it's still different enough to have some suspense. I also think the pace of the story was good, by skipping from finding the police officer to the station and from the station to the battle, you don't slow the story down so that it doesn't become boring. I was a little confused at the first paragraph, not knowing what the story was about. However, things became clearer as I read on. It does kinda feel like the protaganist should have a bigger reaction to finding the dead police officer. After all, he found a dead person. That should have some kind of reaction besides "Damn". Unless this has to do with the character's personality, which this story was to short for to get a feel for. I do have a question though: are you going to write an entire story? Or is this going to be a one-shot? It does say chapter one... If you're going to write the entire game as a story, I wouldn't start with this as chapter one. Also, if you're going to write the entire story, I would put a summary at the beginnning. Just so people know what to expect. I also think growlithe's reaction/behavior was a good idea. It makes sense for the pokemon to react to her trainers dead. Hope this response makes sense, English is not my native language. Overall, I did like the story and I'd be interested in reading more.

So, I just read through this topic. First of all I have to say I'm really impressed with the sprites. I can really see how much you guys improved in terms of making them. The sprites on the first page were a bit off at times, but there's hardly anything wrong with the most recent ones. Great improvement! And I really like the final evolution of the water starter. I really like the dragonfly line, it looks great! Just two things: the line has two 'spikes' on the head. With the first evolution it looks like the 'spikes' are meant to be ears. But looking at the other two, they're clearly not meant to be ears. Maybe it's just me, but I thought I'd mention it. Also, one paw of the final evolution seems kinda weirdly placed? The most visible one, I think I'd place it higher up the body, near the head. As for the ant line: for me the two evolutions are a little bit too different, so it feels like they're not part of the same line (again, might just be me). And you could consider adding feelers to their heads? (but that's just an idea and not necessary).

I really like the colours of some of them. Gengar, dragonite, scizor and venausaur (I really like the colour combination of this one) look pretty nice. Just a little bit of feedback: Haxorus: the outline is a little bit hard to see, especially on the front sprite. I would make the outline darker to make it more noticible. Same for the shading, mostly the red. It's hard to see. Same story with lucario really: the (red) shading is hard to see.

I don't know if this has any influence on whether you get the 'true ending' or not. I played part of this episode (I'm currently at chapter 3), but I also like to watch playthroughs from other people on YouTube. During one playthrough I noticed that there was a difference compared to mine. This happened when you go to rescue Taelia form the thugs.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to play the new version because I'm busy with my internship. Still, @Jan and everyone else who worked on version ten, thanks for your hard work and I can't wait till I have the time to play version ten.

One of my favourite things of reborn are the sprites. I think most of them look really good. I also love the little 'animations' of the sprites and the scenes. To me it adds to the story in a positieve way.

In GDC in the underground there's a fortune teller who says this about your future: "This... this future I see before me, it's very worrying. I see you on top of a tall castle, oh yes. That, not even I can know." And then the crystal ball shatters. As for the light prophecy: it seems like most people agree that the MC and Melia are two of the lights. I have a theory for the other two: the lights are four lights not born of men. So by purely looking at the characters we know for sure are not born of men, I come up with Zetta and ANA. Zetta used to be a solosis, so he's not born from men, but from pokemon. ANA is an android, so she isn't born from men either. Of course, it's also possible that there are other characters not born from men and we just don't know it yet. We don't meet/know the parents of most characters, so almost anyone is possible. I just think Zetta and ANA are currently the only ones we know aren't born form men. So there's the MC plus three others who (from the fortune teller): One has a soul as gold as arceus' light. Melia? Maria(nette)'s father's cult seems to have something to do with Arceus? One has the resolve to lead others. ??? Yeah, I have nothing for this one... One fights for a lost loved one. Maybe Melia fighting for Venam cause she's turned to stone? It depends on what's meant with lost. Is the lost loved one dead? Missing? Or maybe he/she's lost the right path and is the lost loved one actually one of the darknessess. As for the dark prophecy: most people seem to agree Ren is one. One character that hasn't been mentioned yet as a possibility is Aelita. In some sort of flashback Erin explains what happened to Aelita and how she woke up form her coma. Apperently to break the curse Erin's grandfather also had to release the chains around her soul. During the proces Aelita wakes up and goes kind phycho. Erin says that Aelita was awful after she woke up. Aelita broke things, damaged the place, attacked the kimono girls, she tried to attack innocent bystanders on route 9. It only stopped when Erin's grandfather re-attached some of the chains and he told Aelita to recite a prayer every 24 hours. Aelita didn't seem to remember any of this. And the puppet master was quite insistend that the MC and Aelita were reunited. Idk, it just seems like there's an evil side to Aelita...

So, I thought that I remembered that some of those vivillon already had a shiny. So I went and got these from the gen 6 shiny thread: The green one had a lot of options and I didn't know which one you preferred/originally chose, so I'm posting them all: Unless you don't like these shinies, then I'm more than willing to make new ones. Just thought I'd give priority to the original makers shinies.

Hello everyone! I have a confession to make... I actually joined the forums in the beginning of this year, but I never came around to introducing myself here. Shame on me. But I'm here now to rectifie that mistake. I started playing pokemon years ago. I remember my first game: I went to the store to get Pokemon Yellow. I was so disappointed when I realized that they were all sold out. With pain in my heart I decided to buy Pokemon Blue instead. I opened the package and, suprise, suprise! In the package of Pokemon Blue was the game for Pokemon Yellow! I couldn't believe my luck! That was the first pokemon game I played. After that I bought Gold and Crystal as well. Eventually I lost interest and stopped playing for a while... Until Reborn! I discovered Pokemon Reborn about a year ago. I was watching a playthrough (shofu!!!) of Reborn and thought: "That game looks amazing! Pokemon from all gens? Eventually a total of 18 gyms? A more mature story line?! I want to play it too!" So I went and found the site, downloaded the game and started playing. I did some digging and discovered Rejuvenation as well. Same story: I downloaded the game and started playing. But I never bothered to create an account... Until the shiny threads of Rejuvenation. Those shinys looked amazing and I wanted to participate as well even though I'd never done anyting like it and had no idea what I was doing... So I created an account so I could. And now I figured it was about time I officially introduced myself. I'm looking forward to many more years on the forums and the complete games of Reborn, Rejuvenation and Desolation! -KmK-

@ShadowStar That sounds like an interesting theory. You definately put some thought into it and you suggest some things I haven't read before (and I applaud you for coming up with it... I suck at theories) One question though: how exactly do the prophecy's of light and darkness fit into this theory? After all, both prophecy's mention 4 people each, so 8 in total.
