  1. Mega Lopunny has Scrappy, so Froslass is not as ideal as what you might expect. Most Rock-types lack coverage moves to deal significant damage on Lopunny, but they do work against Staraptor.
  2. You have shadow Pokemon in your party. Go store them in PC and then try again.
  3. I wasn't able to get you out of there, but I defeated Marianette. You should be able to go to Gearen City, for example and from there keep playing Version 9. Here's your save file if you want it: Game.rxdata
  4. Pretty much this. Last manual I read was Dark Souls', just to get a clarification on what each attribute does.
  5. Google Translate has it's uses, but you shouldn't put too much/blind faith in it. If anything, it can give pointers; for instance if you have no idea how to say something in the foreign language you're translating to, you can try Google Translate, and then do a (Google) search for whatever Google Translate gave you. This mostly applies if you're looking for or need information. Names aren't generally translated, but it comes down to how you want to translate. Translating names is in fact sort of localization, domestication to be exact. Of course that means you have to retain consistency, in other words, you can't selectively domesticate some names while leaving the others as they are. Edit: as a clarification, I don't simply mean translating names that are actual words like Shade. I also mean "giving new names" to characters that are more familiar or easier to pronounce (to the people you're translating to/for).
  6. Will be like my 7th run or so, but yeah, I will start yet another one.
  7. That really depends on the game. In Zelda -games I tend to collect all Heart Pieces/Containers (does that count?) but other than that I don't really bother - I have found half of all the Koroks in Breath of the Wild and got really sick of it. In Monster Hunter games, however, I continue doing quests quite a lot despite "finishing the story line" (as in after defeating Dire Miralis, or Daora Kushala in 4U etc). I'm not as much of a completionist as I used to be (not that I ever actually were one), so I voted No. If I'm not interested in the post-game content, I won't bother with it.
  8. I just got Nier: Automata and so far I've had a blast.
  9. You know what would be funny? If you actually could have the same move in more than one moveslot, boosting it's power that way.
  10. @Norm I can see the reasoning for B but in my opinion C is just too low. Infernape has to rely on Flare Blitz and Close Combat - both of which are good moves, of course - but they come with drawbacks of their own. Especially failing to K.O with Close Combat will get Infernape wiped out instead. Flare Blitz will wear Infernape out eventually and isn't exactly "spammable" if it doesn't OHKO. Houndoom, one of the non-starter Fire-types that don't rely on Flare Blitz and is available before Typhlosion if you didn't pick Cyndaquil, on the other hand has to rely on physical Dark moves until you defeat Luna, not to mention it's strongest Fire STAB is Flamethrower. Typhlosion doesn't have to reduce it's defensive stats or take recoil damage, as well as being able to hit both opposing mons in Doubles with what's pretty much the most powerful Fire-type move (as long as you don't take much damage). Eruption has low PP, but even just 5 uses get the job done. Eruption is kinda Typhlosion's niche and sets it apart from most other Fire-types. As for the worst Fire-type starter, I'd say Emboar is worse than Typhlosion. Emboar also utilizes Flare Blitz and in addition it often has to tank a hit before attacking due to it's low Speed stat.
  11. There aren't that many Water -types to choose from: there's Panpour and Buizel - I can't remember anything else atm. Since you're in the cave, you could catch Geodude/Graveler. Iirc you can also go to the library in Beryl Ward and help the Gothitelle there. She will give you a Soul Candle. Take it to the graveyard at night and interact with one of the pumpkins to catch Pumpkaboo.
  12. He Protec

    he Feint Attac

    but most importantly,

    he Wish health bac

  13. How about Togekiss? It's 6th gen Pokedex entries are: As everyone knows, it visits peaceful regions, bringing them gifts of kindness and sweet blessings. It shares many blessings with people who respect one another's rights and avoid needless strife.
  14. Postgame might consist of tracking down and catching Ultra Beasts (and some Legendary mons). I can't say for sure what exactly "expansive" means, as it really could just refer to the variety of Ultra Space locations you get to visit.
  15. In Serebii, it's mentioned that the Mantine Surf minigame-thingy is used for earning points - which in turn are used to have Move Tutors teach moves, even those moves you couldn't teach in Sun and Moon.
  16. @NickCrash I mean, from what I understand you can't teach Typhlosion Solar Beam or Focus Blast yet, and in my opinion Extrasensory is situational at best. Too bad that Typhlosion can't learn Grass Knot, but if you get lucky you can get Hidden Power Ice, Water or Grass (or breed for the HP you want, if Reborn uses that mechanic - I have never bred any Pokemon so I don't know). Despite these shortcomings, Tyhplosion does well throughout the game even with mostly Fire-type moves. Either I overestimate or you underestimate how good fast Fire-types are in this game. The Gym Leaders who use Fire-resistant types such as Rock, Dragon and Water haven't appeared yet, and the field effects that weaken Fire are few and far between. Quilava/Typhlosion definitely contributes in most, if not all, Gym Leader, Rival and Team Admin battles thus far.
  17. Just my two cents, but I'd say Typhlosion belongs to A rank. + Starter (available right from the beginning) or from 7th Street Pokemon black market + Fire-types in general are very good in Reborn as they perform well in most Gym battles + Learns Eruption via Heart Scale and has the stats to make good use of it - Level-up moves are mostly Fire-type moves or next to useless physical moves like Rollout - in other words, not very versatile - Lacks coverage options, as most TM moves Typhlosion could learn are also physical, although Nature and Hidden Power to an extent remedy this problem
