  1. The lack of Heatran, Magearna and Mega Gengar is disturbing...
  2. You can't catch that Celebi. I'm not sure what you were supposed to give it, I don't remember. Gourmet Treat is a good bet, though.
  3. Yes. I don't know how rare it is, but I managed to find one relatively fast. Use the speed-up button (alt).
  4. @Neco Right, that would explain it. On a side note, you can also take on Kvar before Magnius.
  5. 681 I played trough/completed Xenoblade Chronicles not too long ago. I had a blast with that game, trying to complete as many quests as possible and searching for Unique Monsters to beat down I still haven't beaten all the super bosses though. What interests me is the notion that the Gym Leaders don't necessarily have to be the focus of a Pokemon game. Would you say they are similar to Xenoblade Chronicle's Unique Monsters in that regard? It isn't mandatory to beat them (or at least not a lot of them anyway) but you might end up fighting them during exploration or because a quest requires you to defeat a certain UM. Out of the games you mention I have played Golden Sun - all 3 games - as well as Tales of Symphonia. In case of ToS, I really hadn't thought about the game the way you have. I do need some elaboration, though. Could you explain what do you mean by saying the gym leader concept is a side thing in ToS? From what I understand, you do need to enter the temples and ruins and etc. and release the seals to proceed further in the game. The seals are guarded by boss monsters that sort of serve as gym leaders of that game. Have I misunderstood what you say when I make this connection? Or do you mean to imply that these "gym leaders" don't contribute to the story all that much? Anyhow, reading your article served as a nice trip back to the memory/nostalgia lane, so thank you for that.
  6. Maybe it's because this guy is considered hideous that no one ever recommends one. So, shout-out to Barbaracle. It learns pretty much everything you need via level up: Shell Smash, Razor Shell, Cross Chop, Night Slash and Stone Edge for instance. While it doesn't have access to Sturdy, it has other abilities that complement it's movepool, such as Sniper and Tough Claws. Barbaracle is by no means a weak Pokemon, just ignored and outright forgotten.
  7. Yeah, Decidueye learning wrong move upon evolution is a known bug and will be fixed in the next version. For now there's nothing anyone can do to fix it.
  8. You'll find Apophyll Pancakes (much) later on, but you probably don't want to wait for that long, right? I checked my save file - I have the latest patch - and I was still able to buy them. You could send me your save file and I'll see if I can buy some for you.
  9. Have you downloaded patch 10? The patch should fix Keta's muteness.
  10. What is the Mysterious Key used for (the one you can buy in Central Cellia)?
  11. If what you mean to ask is if Elekid has a low chance to hold Electrizer then yes. As far as I know it's currently the only way to get one. If you already caught the Elekid in Team Xen lab and it didn't hold Electrizer, then you missed it.
  12. You can also play that part of the game again and then carry on. Happened to me in one of my save files as well.
  13. Noel's field (if you can call it that) can be set on fire. Many Fire-types tend to be fast, so you have no problem doing that versus Wigglytuff. Bewear would get obliterated even by a single hit from Fire Spin at that point. Cinccino can actually stop your Fire-types from completely annihilating Noel's entire team. I admit, getting flinched is annoying but it's not unavoidable. You can set up against Wigglytuff and then sweep, or bring mons with Inner Focus or Steadfast -ability against Cinccino, if nothing else seems to work. Toucannon lacks the speed to do what Cinccino does. While it's not as frail as Cinccino, Toucannon can't effectively flinch anything by being slower. Komala gets wrecked by Fighting -types; low HP, Defence and Speed stats do it no favors. Drampa might actually be interesting to see, but in my opinion it works way better in Normal -type teams that utilize Trick Room. Of course, I have no actual proof or evidence so take what I say with a grain of salt. If I had to replace something in Noel's team, that would be Girafarig. Not only Porygon-Z has higher Speed and Sp.Attack, it can also gain another boost with Download. And it has Psychic. I don't see why you'd need Girafarig if Porygon-Z can counter Fighting-types. As for what I would replace Girafarig with, that would be either Ambipom (why are you so ignored) or Pyroar. Ambipom unfortunately doesn't have that many moves to make good use of Skill Link, but it can make use of Technician with moves like Fake Out and Aerial Ace/Acrobatics. Pyroar on the other hand is more of a double-edged sword simply because of the field. I guess the tl:dr is while Cinccino is annoying to deal with, it is in my opinion da MVP (so to speak) in Noel's team.
  14. I'm afraid you're out of luck if the Magby you caught wasn't holding a Magmarizer. As for Water/Ground -type, you can try Gastrodon. It has decent bulk as well as access to Recover. It's slow as molasses, though. There's plenty of Fighting -types to choose from, Medicham is a good and popular choice because Pure Power-boosted High Jump Kick wrecks most if not anything that doesn't resist it. Then there's Hariyama, Machamp and the Hitmons just to name some other alternatives.
  15. Diglett is pretty good against Connor. Magnitude is dependent on RNG, though, so if you get like 4 or 5 it deals pitiful damage. On the other hand, you have decent chances to get either 7 or 8 which is already more powerful than Bulldoze. Bulldoze is decent, but it might lack power to OHKO. You can catch Numel too. It resists Fire, and can hit Fire-types super-effectively with Magnitude. I actually haven't tried it out, but at least in theory Amnesia, coupled with Simple- ability allows you to tank most attacks even when the field is on fire.
  16. Angie's place is supposed to look like that. Are you sure you can't proceed any further? Did you continue to the corridor on your left?
  17. For future reference, double-posting as in posting several times without anyone else's posts in between is against the rules, so refrain from doing that. You can use the Edit button and MultiQuote (the + button next to Quote) so you can answer to several people with a single post. I'd say your game isn't bugged. When Axew was a starter - now replaced with Jangmo-o - I spent several ours resetting as well. Since there is no online for Rejuvenation, your other alternative to obtain Riolu is to use mods or cheats or something of the sort. For Reborn there's "Request-a-mon" -thread which people use for getting the Pokemon they want. The point is that wanting to use a certain / your favorite mon is what people do on a regular basis. It's not "a bad excuse" so don't give it much thought. The fact of the matter is, however, that doing so in Rejuvenation requires much more effort and luck on your (the players) part.
  18. The jackpot starters are rare for a reason. In my opinion they are more powerful than (most of) the traditional starters. I don't know if you already knew this, but you can press alt to increase the game speed.
  19. Fairy -type Machamp or Conkeldurr is a good replacement.
  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsAAV1hI87E
  21. Call me childish, but the name Persephone always makes me giggle (inside), and when Diana called her Perse, I actually laughed out loud. You see, perse is a Finnish word, and it means ass (the body part).
