Hey everyone! DigitalAmber is back with yet another game. This one will be centered specifically on guns and fate. This game will have a personal Discord. The personal Discord will also contain a special spectator lounge, just DM/PM me that you want to be a spectator.

What is Mafia(Credits to Divergent)

Mafia is a social deduction game which requires analyzing, cooperation, and looking through lies. There are two main factions in a mafia game: the Uninformed Majority [Town], who have to find others of their kind while hunting for the mafia, and the Informed Minority [Mafia], who have a private chat and plan there on how they should trick the town and whom they should kill. There may also be Third Party or Independent roles, which have different agendas and win conditions.

 


At the beginning of the game, players receive a PM or a DM (in some cases) with their role and alignment.

There are two major phases in a Mafia game:

(1) The Day Phase – Typically lasting 48 hours, players use this opportunity to discuss about several things, which may include the outcome of the previous phases, behavior of players, and flow of the game; the ultimate goal in the day phase is for the Town players to find the Mafia slowly while Mafia players have to blend in carefully. Before the day ends, players must vote for a player whom they want to be eliminated on grounds of suspicion and the player receiving the most votes will be eliminated.

(2) The Night Phase – Typically lasting 24 hours, the thread is considered “locked” at this point and players may not comment at all. Instead, players with night actions, special abilities related to their role, may use these to aid their faction. The Mafia also discusses in the private chat on whom to dispose of.

The game continues until one of the major factions attains their win condition or unless it is no longer possible.

Opening Narrative

The souls of the doomed all have a chance at rebirth. All souls, no matter how wretched, are able to participate in a game of fate. This game is the same for everyone, with one simple rule: survive. Survivors get reincarnation; a second chance. Losers get to spend the rest of eternity in the afterlife, not a completely terrible thing. The souls of others who have tried and failed will try to help and hinder you throughout the game, but ignore them. They failed; they don't know how to succeed.  Or you can take there advice, let them guide you onwards to victory. A win is still a win in the afterlife, no matter how many codes of honor were broken to achieve it. As long as you don't eat the bullet of fate, victory will always be near. Now, who's ready to survive?!

Factions

Honorful/Town-This is the uninformed majority who believes in honor and respects the rules they once had in life. They win when all Third Party and Mafias are dead

 

Honorless/Mafia- This is the informed minority who decided to do whatever it takes to win, no matter the cost.  They win when they equal or outnumber all alive Town and Third Party

 

Third Party- These roles have a win condition seperate from that of the town. 

Roles

Town

 

Bulletproof- Starts with a bulletproof vest

 

Appraiser- Can see if someone has a real or fake gun. Happens after guns are rotated. 

 

Tree stump- During a night phase, they can become a tree. A tree cannot die, vote, or shoot a gun. 

 

Leader- Votes are anonymous the next day if they die

 

5. Deputy- Starts with a safe gun that does not reveal shooter

 

Hunter- Can kill someone when they die. 

 

Drunk- Blocks a player and prevents people from visiting them 

 

Cop- Checks player’s alignment

 

Doctor- Can protect a player from a kill attempt at night

 

10. Vigilante- Can kill 3 different people throughout the course of the game during the night

 

Tracker- Can choose a player and see who they visit 

 

Bride/Groom- Can propose to a player once per game. If accepted both the Groom and the other player have their role revealed 

 

Loudmouth. Loudly announces who visited him during the night during the next day phase. 

 

Mafia

 

Illusionist- Has a real gun from the start. When fired, he can make someone else appear as the shooter

 

15. Sniper- Starts with a gun that does not reveal the shooter. Cannot shoot Mafia members. Does not go to Mafia meetings. 

 

Filibuster- Requires all the town votes to lynch him. 

 

Saboteur- Can cause a gun to be rigged(if the player has one that is not guarneteed to be safe)for the day phase. 

 

Third Party

 

Hot Potato- Starts with a potato at night. Passes the potato around every night. If you fail to pass the potato or if you give it to someone who already had it, the holder dies. They are immune to the potato. Wins if 3 people die from the Potato

 

Coyote- Can kill a player at night if he guesses there role. becomes immune to day kills if so. Role is revealed if he chooses wrong. Wins if he is part of the last 2 players

 

20. Gambler- The Gambler plays Rock Paper Scissors with another player every night. If the Gambler wins, the opponent dies. If the Gambler loses or ties, the opponent escapes. He wins after 3 kills. 

 

21. Old Maid- The old maid cannot win. Every night they visit someone and steal their role. The visited player will then become the Old Maid. Guns that your role verified as safe will only be safe during the day phase immediately after. Afterwards, they join the gun roulette. 

Rules

(1) The Reborn Forum rules apply here.

 


(2) All Player Discussion must be kept in the thread; mandated special private chats may also be utilized. Other forms of contact outside of these such as Private Chats without the Host’s permission, IRL contact, and other methods are not allowed.

(3) Day Phase lasts for 48 hours. Players must make at least 2 posts and vote per day phase. Failure to meet this requirement for two day phases (even non consecutive) will result in replacement or mod intervention.

(4) Voting is done in the format: [Eliminate] Player Name or in similar formats. Changing of votes may be done in this format: [Unvote] Player Name. All votes must be placed in bold or they are not counted. 


(5) Night Phase lasts for 24 hours. Players are not allowed to comment in the thread. Violation of this rule will result in warning (1st offence) and disqualification (2nd offence).

(6) Sharing of Role PMs – through screenshots, verbatim copying, or other forms – to other players is illegal. Consequences will be given to violators.

(7) If you are eliminated in any way, you may have a final post, that will not reflect critical game information such as night actions and the like.

(8) Actions – day or night – should be sent to me via PM (Forums) or DM (Discord).

(9) Editing of posts is discouraged. If you have minor corrections, you may do so, but if you wish to have additions, you must make a new post or quote your previous post if you wish to highlight the addition.

(10) Respect the host and other players! Have fun!

Game Specific Rules

1. You cannot abstain from voting. Violators will be warned once

 

2. Upon death, only the alignment is revealed. Third party appear as mafia upon death

 

3.  The most voted player will be lynched at the end of day phase. 

 

4. Players whose role begins the game(Ex: Deputy)with a gun will always have a guaranteed safe gun until it is used. 

 

5. If two or more players have the same amount votes at the end of the day, then all of them shall be lynched

 

6. If no one dies at night for 2 consecutive nights, then a randomly selected player will be murdered

What makes Bullet Hell unique

Gun Rotation

 

All players(except those who start with a gun) will receive a gun at the start of the game. Half the players have real guns, the other half fake. The players will lose there current gun and recieve a new one every night. This gun also has the chance to be fake or real. 

 

Dead Players

Death does not stop players from playing the game, it simply changes how they play it. Dead towns members and dead mafia/third party have their own private chats. Dead town become Guardians, while dead Mafia/Third Party become Tormentors. Guardians can guarentee every night that a gun will not backfire and will not expose the user, while the Tormentors can do the opposite. 

 

Alternativly, Guardians can choose to give out a vest at night that only works for one day phase. The first guardian makes the choice on whether guns or vests are given out. Only one of these two choices can be chosen during the game, choosing to give out vests means you can only give out vests for the rest of the game and vice versa.
