  1. Good game, Jacob. There were a few moments where I was worried, but Amazon's Heracross pulled off a clutch victory for us once more. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-uu-60586
  2. Sometimes, you get a bad matchup in monotype randoms, like Bugs vs Poison. And sometimes, it doesn't matter, because your opponent pissed off RNGesus. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-monotyperandombattle-60521
  3. I got Psychic and Steel... Psychic Types are the intellectuals. They value intelligence, creativity and thoughtfulness. They prefer to look at the reasons behind things rather than the things themselves, and accordingly thrive both independently and socially. Often times, they are extraordinarily unique individuals, but they seldom seem to mind this. Yeah, that one makes sense. Steel Types don't let things get to them, plain and simple. Steadfast in their opinions, everything else is generally just 'wrong.' They're very direct about what they want and how they want it, and one way or another, they always get it. Eh... Kinda...?
  4. I've seen the ongoing power struggle in this land, and only desire peace. That is why I have come to end the battle. I ask of you: Who do you follow? *Makes popcorn*
  5. So you have a flower-loving murder dragon and a cannon fodder cat. Good luck! Also, I'd recommend approaching the level cap before doing those side quests...
  6. So... Angie is returning... I'll assemble the trolling crew once more... (Meowstic spams flash, Ambipom passes Agility/Sub/Nasty Plot, Mismagius kills things)
  7. You know, if this keeps up, we'll all be pros in the UU tier by the end of Nations...
  8. Murkrow beats every boss in the game with Prankster/Perish Song. Also, Heat Wave on a good fire-type like Arcanine hits it pretty hard as well. Same with high-power special water attacks.
  9. One of the MVP's of the Amazon Nation was the all-powerful Hitmontop. Hitmontop @ Sitrus Berry Ability: Intimidate EVs: Varied between users Adamant/Brave Nature - Wide Guard - Close Combat - Fake Out - Rock Slide Hitmontop showed up on every one of our teams due to its amazing utility in doubles. Intimidate was a general nuisance to our opponents, since they lacked Contrary/Defiant. Fake Out bought a turn for us to stop either a devastating attack or prevent set up. Close Combat and Rock Slide hurt things. Wide Guard stops stuff like Rock Slide and Blizzard.
  10. To me, it looks like Gardevoir wears a sun dress... Flygon/Yanmega = Dragonflies, which you see a lot of in the summer. Or am I just reading too much into this?
  11. The most obvious thing I can think of is handing that Graveler a Link Stone. Also, I'd recommend getting a better electric type than Electrode at this stage in the game. Its speed is really high while its attack is rather dismal. This means Gyro Ball will barely scratch most things. Explosion isn't great either. I'd suggest something like Ampharos or Galvantula instead. If we ever get better TMs, get rid of Charge Beam on Gardevoir. Calm Mind is a much better way to boost. If you don't mind Training another Arcanine, I'd suggest breeding one to have Close Combat.
  12. For my fight with Charlotte, I used a Flygon (with Earthquake) paired with a Gardevoir (with Telepathy and Calm Mind). Flygon resists fire, takes neutral from grass, and is immune to electric moves, hitting her team with the exception of Rotom hard with Earthquake. Gardevoir avoids the hits from Flygon with Telepathy, and can take almost anything Charlotte throws at you after a few uses of Calm Mind. Like others mentioned, Flash Fire Arcanine and Chandelure work great too.
  13. Heads up, that Focus Sash on Galvantula will go away after it activates once. Since we only have access to one in the game, you may want to save it for something worthwhile.
  14. Oh look, Solgaleo is weak to fire, while Lunala is weak to darkness. And their abilities are just a renamed Clear Body and Multiscale.

Also Pure Power and Huge Power do the same thing but read differently so there's some chance as I said I'm jsut reading into it too much. Look... I'm jsut hoping it's not 100% the same as Clearbody. That would be super boring lol.

honestly, taking a second look after my initial disappointment in their logic... I can't tell whether this is intentional irony on their part of just Trolling... or both.

  15. Wobuffet can go die in a fire. That thing is basically just Satan incarnate.
  16. Here's one that I thought would work better than it did in Week 1: Drifblim @ Weakness Policy Ability: Unburden Nature: Modest 252 Sp Atk 252 Speed 4 HP -Endure -Shadow Ball -HP Ice -Baton Pass The idea was to tank a super-effective move with Endure, and clean up. But that didn't happen, because Evolite Sligoos are evil.
  17. I wouldn't mind having a little bit of Super Luck... Or perhaps Serene Grace. Something to help me with hax in real life.
  18. Welcome to the tribe, Honchy and Spade. Here's your standard issue gardening tool set, boxing gloves, and pet bird/flying lizard of your choice.
  19. Bashes head against the wall. WHY DID I USE STEALTH ROCKS?
  20. Best traits... I suppose my intelligence would be one of those. I've almost always scored higher than the majority of the class in my university classes...
  21. All of your birds belong to the Amazons now. We also know how to punch things and plant lovely gardens.
  22. Cool. So we can fly above stuff, punch stuff, and grow a nice garden.
  23. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-monotyperandombattle-55973 'Twas a fun final match for a monotype random tournament.
  24. Congrats, Baz. Not that no one saw this coming.
