Butterfree OP. Plz nerf
-
Has anyone taken Reisen? I chose her as my starter in Faith and Prayer, and she quickly became my favorite puppet. Given my lack of skill at shooting games, Touhoumon is my only experience with the series...
-
Amazing how the tiniest changes can have such a huge impact on the mood a song generates... Now I really want to see what Adrienn has done with the city... As for the field that needs to burn, my Vileplume and Arcanine can arrange that...

My team is strong, but I feel like it is missing something...

Update 16: Fun in the rain... Red returned to Amaria's house, agreeing to meet Cain, Aya, and Hardy in Calcenon. Amaria wasn't home, but Titania was. She said she would dig up the HM for Surf in the back, and to wait in the living room. Red accidentally knocked a book off of a table while she was away, and it landed face down. Titania came back as Red was putting the book back on the table. Red tried to explain, but Titania threw the disc at Red and told him to get out. She also told Red not to tell a word to Amaria. Just then, Amaria entered and asked what was going on. Red said he didn't know, so Amaria checked the book Red had just set on the table. She teared up and ran out the door. Titania and Red ran after her. Red arrived just in time to see Amaria jump over the waterfall. Titania said it was up to him to find a way for them to get back up, and dove in after her. Red returned to the mansion and read the book. It was Titania's diary, and it was effectively a confession of how she was getting tired of how she had to fake her relationship with Amaria, but she could never let Amaria know. Red couldn't think of anything he could do aside from continuing his original intended journey. Red taught his Starmie Surf, and made his way through Ametrine Mountain. He ran into a massive wall of ice, and found Cain and the others staring at it as well. Hardy led them all along an alternate path, and they found themselves looking at the stairway to Calcenon. Then there was a flash of light, and the stairway was reduced to rubble. Saphira appeared on her Dragonite, and explained that Team Meteor was attacking Calcenon with a PULSE Clawlitzer. She then flew off to continue to intercept the attacks. Hardy showed them the Eastern Bridge. Hardy and Cain went first across the bridge. Another flash of light occurred, and the bridge was shattered. Cain and Hardy were unharmed, but were at the bottom of the valley. Red and Aya agreed to meet them in Calcenon, and began searching the nearby caves for an alternate route. They eventually stumbled upon a random lab. Aster and Eclipse were in it, and ambushed the two (as in, my team was severely underleveled at the time...). Red and Aya retreated to the previous room, which had a healing machine and a PC. Red switched up his team, and he and Aya returned to the previous room. Lunatone and Solrock were met with Dragalge and Red's newly revived Omastar. Solrock attacked with Bulldoze, while Lunatone used Blizzard, which missed Dragalge. Omastar set up a Shell Smash while Dragalge hit Solrock with a Thunderbolt. Then Omanyte swept Solrock and Lunatone simutaneously with a mighty Surf. Dragalge fired off a Dragon Pulse at nothing in particular... Magmortar and Golurk were sent in next. Omastar used Surf again. Dragalge disappointedly spat out a Sludge Bomb. Rhyperior and Vileplume were sent in next. Rhyperior was washed away and Dragalge was brought to the verge of fainting, while Vileplume took minimal damage thanks to its typing. Then Vileplume finished off Dragalge with a Petal Dance. Electrivire and Nidoqueen were sent in next. Surf did moderate damage to the opposing Pokemon and heavy damage to Nidoqueen. Then Electrivire put an end to Omastar's bid to sweep. For some unknown reason, Nidoqueen hit Electrivire with a Flamethrower, and was finished off by another Petal Dance. Blaine and Tentacruel were sent in next. Aster quickly healed Electrivire with a Hyper Potion just before Blaine fired off a Heat Wave, finishing Vileplume. Then Tentacruel hit Electrivire with a Sludge Bomb, poisoning it. Aromatisse replaced Vileplume, and Tentacruel was taken out with a mighty Thunder Punch. Blaine fired off a Heat Wave, which missed Electrivire but managed to burn Aromatisse. Then Aromatisse hit Blaine with Thunder, and Electivire fainted from residual damage. Vespiqueen and Drapion entered the battlefield. Blaine's Heat Wave missed Vespiqueen and did minimal damage to Aromatisse. Red was starting to doubt his partner's battling skills when Drapion used Cross Poison on Vespiqueen, and became moderately upset when Vespiqueen's Struggle Bug and Aromatisse's Thunder knocked out Blaine. Geodette was brought in as the replacement. Eclipse healed Aromatisse, Drapion hit Aromatisse with Crunch (Why?), Vespiqueen hit Geodude with Attack Order, and Geodette missed a Stone Edge. Then Drapion hit Aromatisse with Aqua Tail (WHY?), Vespiqueen landed a critical Attack Order on Geodette, (WHY?!?), Aromatisse used Wish, and Geodette missed another Stone Edge. (WHY?!?!?) Then Drapion attacked Vespiqueen with Cross Poison again, Vespiqueen knocked out Geodette with another Attack Order, and Aromatisse missed a Thunder, but had its health replenished by Wish. (WHYWHYWHYWHYWHY) Polarity was sent in as Red shook his head. Drapion missed an Aqua Tail, but Polarity finally put an end to Aromatisse with Flash Cannon. Then Vespiqueen hit Polarity with a critical Attack Order. Milotic was sent out. Drapion hit Milotic with a critical Crunch, Milotic knock out Polarity with Scald, and Vespiqueen hit Drapion with Attack Order. Somno was brought in. Drapion hit Milotic with Cross Poison, Milotic struck back with Scald, and Somno put Vespiqueen to sleep. Then Drapion hit Vespiqueen with Aqua Tail, Milotic finished Drapion with Scald, Somno danced, and Vespiqueen woke up and used Struggle Bug on Somno, negating the SpAtk boost. Aya sent in Gengar. Next, Somno danced, Gengar used Icy Wind, Milotic Scalded and burned Gengar, and Vespiqueen used another Struggle Bug. Somno danced some more, Gengar finished Vespiqueen with Shadow Ball, and Milotic launched a Blizzard, which did minimal damage to Somno but knocked out Gengar. Venusaur was brought in. Somno put Milotic asleep and Venusaur hit it with Leech Seed. Red lost track of how many Pokemon Eclipse still had, so he had Somno dance two more times as Venusaur used Power Whip twice. There weren't any other Pokemon sent out after that, and it made Red feel like an idiot. Immediately after, Eclipse started typing commands into a computer. She said that the PULSE Clawlitzer was now deactivated, announced she was leaving Team Meteor because she was afraid her father's house would be hit, and thanked Red for coming. Aster asked what she was doing. Then Sirius entered and had his Chandelure attack her, stating that turncoats would not be forgiven. He explained that her soul was being burned away. Then he lunged at Red. Aya pushed him out of the way and told him to run. Red was painfully reminded of the incident with El at Radomus's castle. With his team crippled, Red once again had no choice. Red finally found his way to Calcenon. He met Saphira and Hardy by the barrier, and told them what had happened. As expected, they were quite upset about what had happened to Aya. Then Fern showed up on the other side of the barrier, taunting them and claiming to have joined Team Meteor. Hardy ran for him, repeatedly smashing into the barrier, but with no success. Red decided entertaining Fern wasn't the most constructive use of his time, and explored the city. He came across Charlotte's gym. As he was about to enter, Laura ran out, sobbing. Charlotte came out soon afterwards. She said Laura had lost her position on the Elite 4, and ran after her. Red found Cain, Shelly, and the orphans in a nearby house. They were discussing the trouble Ametrine was in due to the ice blockage in the mountains cutting it off from the rest of the region. Shelly was worried about Heather, who was apparently living up there now. Anna said that Red should go, and that the way through would be by diving under the blockage. Red had already won Dive among other prizes at the circus, but lacked the badge that authorized him to use it. Noel said that the badge that enabled Dive was Charlotte's. Red returned to the barrier. Sirius was now there. He had Aya as a hostage, and said he would kill her if he wasn't given the Ruby Ring. Hardy saw Red had it, and demanded that Red give it to Sirius. Saphira told Red not to, as nothing was stopping Team Meteor from killing everyone in Labradorra once they had the ring. Charlotte appeared, and asked Red if he really would let her die to keep the ring from Team Meteor. When he replied that he would, Charlotte grabbed the ring, told Sirius to meet her at the power plant, and ran off. Sirius dragged Aya away. Hardy was angry, but Saphira said that she had faith in her sister, and that Team Meteor wouldn't kill now that they thought Red had nothing of value. She told Red to challenge Charlotte and investigate Ametrine after he obtained the badge. Red found Charlotte in her gym. She gave him back the ring, and said not to worry, as she had just put on an act for Team Meteor. Then she warned Red that even though she wanted him to win, she wasn't going to go easy on him. Red led with Starmie and The Wilds against Typhlosion and Darmanitan. With his Quick Claw, The Wilds covered the battlefield in grass, temporarily disabling the heating system. (Yes, the buffs and debuffs are almost identical on the grassy field to the superheated field, but what I really wanted gone was that accuracy drop after Surf.) Then Starmie used Rain Dance, Typhlosion knocked out The Wilds with Eruption, and Darmatian hit Starmie with Flare Blitz. Then Red sent in Omastar. Starmie hit Typhlosion with a Power Gem, which greatly weakened its next Eruption. Then Darmatian knocked out Starmie and dealt critical damage to Omastar with Rock Slide, but also triggering Omastar's Weak Armour. Finally, Omastar used Shell Smash as it prepared to go onto the offensive. Typhlosion ate a berry as Red brought in Geodette. Red used Moomoo Milk on Omastar, then had Omastar wash the field with Surf. Geodette was left standing thanks to Sturdy, but Charlotte's Pokemon weren't so lucky. Next, Charlotte sent in Volcrona and Rotom-H. After Red healed Geodette back to full health with a Hyper Potion, Omastar washed the field away again. Charlotte brought in Delphox and Ninetales. Ninetales's Drought negated the Rain and gave fire the advantage once more by bringing in intense sunlight. The grassy terrain was overshadowed by a magnificent rainbow. Red, however, had a plan to deal with sunlight. He switched Geodette out for a Golduck he had caught in the mountains, and clouds appeared to block out Charlotte's last hope. Then Omastar concluded the battle. The Team: Nicknames Awarded: Omastar > Lady Helixia Starmie > Misty Golduck > Weathergirl

Update 15: Everyone loves the circus... Right? After Red finished gathering supplies and tracked down all of the Pokemon on his wishlist, Red met up with Cain outside of Agate City. The guards were all asleep, so Cain sent out Nidoking to smash through the gate. The city was extremely quiet. Cain noticed Aya and Hardy laying on the road, and Cain and Red both ran over to check on them. They didn't seem to be injured, just asleep. Cain claimed to be getting tired as well, and even Red was feeling a little drowsy. Suddenly, a woman with rainbow hair wielding a massive mallet jumped off the roof of a nearby building. Cain nearly avoided being crushed. Speaking in a manner that made even Cain feel embarrassed, she introduced herself as Terra, and told them it wasn't safe in the city. Then, without warning, she hit Hardy and Aya into the distance with her hammer. When Cain asked what she thought she was doing, she offered to send Cain and Red after them. They declined and followed her to a circus just outside of the city. When they arrived, she spun away. Several individuals were camped out at the circus, waiting for the city to reopen so they could return home. Red and Cain asked around to see if anyone had found Aya. The ringmaster of the circus said Samson the strongman had taken her into the back room. When taken there, they were introduced to Samson and Ciel the skydancer. It was revealed that they were the fighting and flying gym leaders, and that Terra was the ground gym leader. However, when Red started to ask about challenging them, the ringmaster said he needed to find a battle pass in the circus games. They were brought to the back room, where Aya was just waking up. She asked where Hardy was, and the ringmaster said she had seen a boy fly over the circus and into Route 2. Cain asked Red to go find him while he and Aya chatted for a while. After traversing the rocky terrain and abusing some Crustles, Red found himself at a small house with an official Pokemon league sign on the door. Red entered, and was greeted by Amaria. He was introduced to her lover, Titania. Titania seemed cold, and Red felt as though she didn't trust him. Red asked if someone had landed near their house nearby. Titania said she had found her brother Hardy lying on the ground and had taken him upstairs. She took Red upstairs, where Hardy was sleeping on the couch, and began slapping him. Hardy woke up and asked where he was. He didn't seem pleased to see his sister. He and Red were about to leave when they heard a news report on the TV, stating that Team Meteor had seized Labradorra City and surrounded it with a PULSE-generated forcefield. Saphira and other gym leaders were trying to mount a counterattack from the neighboring Calcenon City. Amaria wanted to go, but Titania wouldn't let her, claiming she was still hurt from the incident at the factory. Amaria asked Titania to give Red the HM for Surf so he could go instead. Titania saw that Red hadn't collected Samson's badge, which authorized the holder to use Surf outside of battle. She gave Red a battle pass she had been sent in the mail, and told him to come back when he had the badge. Hardy and Red headed back to the circus. Aya almost started crying when she saw Hardy, but quickly adopted a tsundre act when she saw he was alright. Hardy explained the situation in Calcenon, while Red challenged Samson to a battle. The ringmaster quickly set the stage. Samson led with Hariyama, while Red sent in Somno. Somno put Hariyama to sleep, and then danced. The spotlights and cheering crowd encouraged Somno, and Somno was able to reach maximum potential much quicker. Like others before him, Samson was forced to watch helplessly as Somno cleared away his team in its entirety. The Team: That was boring, and I also beat Charlotte in the same sitting, so I'll try to upload up to Charlotte tomorrow to show a real boss fight...

Hmm... six fields... The Elite 4 will probably introduce at least one new field... Adrienn may get a new one, but the mist and holy fields already boost him... Titania may get a new field, but the factory field could also be a possiblity... Also, the field that forced form changes could work to her Aegislash's advantage. Hardy is probably getting the rocky field. Amaria is probably getting the water surface field. The only field that really boosts dragon moves right now is the holy field, but that is just begging for us to bring fairies along, so Saphira will probably get a new field. And then perhaps some fields for Team Meteor's final showdown...

And now that finals are out of the way, let's check up on Red again... Update 14: Somno did the thing again... Red and Cain made their way to the front door after Luna and Radomus made their exit. When they reached the entrance hall, they were met by Elias and two Meteor grunts. Elias revealed that he had only been pretending to be hypnotized. Cain, knowing Red's team was weakened from the battle against Radomus, created an opening for Red to escape. In the maze, Red was stopped by a Meteor grunt. Then the grunt removed his mask, revealing it was Radomus. Radomus said El had taken Luna back to the city. He showed Red a secret exit from the maze, and asked him to save Luna. He told Red that he suspected El and his cultist friends had a hideout in the black market of Reborn City, also known as Seventh Street. Red returned to the Aqua gang lair in Lapis Ward. He helped the gang run their rivals out of town. As thanks, he was given the address of a front that hid the entrance to 7th street. He bought some abused Pokemon with weird shards he had been collecting to make pottery out of. One of the Aqua gang members told Red that they were a component in a drug known as "Rare Candy", and Red noticed many people who appeared to be on hallucinogenics. After asking around about people in white robes, Red was directed to a nearby watering hole. There Red encountered Bennett in an outfit similar to El's. Bennett said he couldn't talk, as he was going to help "save" Luna. Deciding he had nothing to lose, Red said he also wanted to save Luna. Bennett said that since they had the same goal, he would show Red the way to El's hideout. Red was 99% certain it was a trap, but he had no other way of getting to the hideout. He followed. Sure enough, it was a trap, and Red was put in a cage. He became acquainted with the prisoner in the next cell, who had his Klefki release Red from his cell, since Red seemed to need to be somewhere. Red thanked him and ran off. Red made his way around various cultists without being caught. When he heard a voice on the intercom summoning all of the cultists to a worship service, Red hid in the library. Various cultist-type books were open on the table, with passages highlighted. A list of the passages had been scrawled down, with some circled. The word "PASSWORDS" was also written on the paper. Red made a copy for himself. He came to a suspicious looking room with four Arceus statues, each with a passage from the library and a four-digit dial. After Red set them to equal the appropriate passwords, the door opened. There, he witnessed El chaining Luna to an altar, Bennett holding a knife to Cain's throat, and a group of cultists standing guard. Bennett threatened to kill Cain if Red intervened. Red didn't see what he could do... until Gardevoir appeared and pushed Bennett away. One of the cultists removed their robe, revealing they were actually Radomus. Radomus held El down as Red freed Cain and Luna and Gardevoir teleported the guards away. Then they all were teleported outside by Gardevoir. Cain said he was going to investigate Agate City. Radomus said he was going into hiding. Luna gave Red a Crystal Plug, saying she would be waiting for him at her gym in Iola Valley. Red eventually found the valley, and made his way through the dark caves. He finally found Luna in a cave. She started to greet him, but screamed. Red turned around and saw that Bennett had followed him. Bennett began saying he was sorry. He then confessed his love to her, and asked her to marry him. Luna told Red that only someone with the Crystal Plug could advance through the cave, and to follow only when he was alone. Then she ran off. Bennett asked Red to give him the Plug. Having seen Luna's reaction to Bennett, Red refused. Bennett said he would take it from him, and sent out his Pokemon. His team was met with Blaine and Geodette, and the battle went in the direction one would expect it to go in. (Don't remember exactly how it went, sorry.) After Bennett left, Red moved on to challenge Luna. Luna led with the Carpenter, while Red sent out Blaine. One critical Heat Wave later, Luna sent in Bandersnatch. Believing Blaine could win by taking advantage of Bandersnatch's double weakness to fighting, Red had Blaine hit it hard with Close Combat. Bandersnatch was brought to the verge of fainting, but survived and knocked out Blaine with an Earthquake. As a side effect, the various crystals in the cave shattered, making it a normal cave. Red then sent in Somno, who danced as Luna healed Bandersnatch. Somno put Bandersnatch to sleep, danced again, and then fired off a Bug Buzz. The echoing attack instantly knocked out Bandersnatch. The rest of the battle didn't go well for Luna either. Red then departed. He decided to run a few errands before joining Cain in Agate City. The Team: BONUS: Blaine fights a level 81 monstrosity

I have inherited awful study habits from my time in high school, and don't change them because I only dropped from a 92 to an 86 in my first year in university. Second year, I'm getting bitten a little harder...

Given the pain it causes the Pokemon it powers up, I think ethically we would refuse to use them. Also, the PULSE machines are significantly bigger than our bicycles, the biggest item we are able to carry around.
-
Nice! This will help people keep track of their own runs as well once E16 comes out!
-
The key to my victory in my Gen 1 run was setting up Stealth Rocks and Flame Burst. All of her Pokemon get cut down by 1/8 to 1/2 HP by stealth rocks, and the field takes another 1/8 to 1/2 HP from anything that doesn't fly. Also, Persian and Ampharos learn Power Gem if I'm not mistaken, and don't have weaknesses to Giga Drain and Bubblebeam.

Update 13: I'm not dead yet! After Red and Noel finished their battle, Laura returned. She said Charlotte had returned to her gym in a nearby city. Noel called Red into the other room. He said it was highly unlikely that Saphira would have survived the fall from the giant Steelix, and that Red ought to go back to the Team Meteor base to confirm his suspicion. After a massive explosion could be heard in Tanzan mountain, Red cycled off as quickly as possible. The tunnel to the base had collapsed. However, down another tunnel, Red found a huge steel door with a massive hole in it. On the other side, a wall exploded. Red saw Saphira walk out of the hole. Saphira explained that she had destroyed the base. She then gave Red Heather's ruby ring and Anna's Amethyst pendant, saying that she didn't want to leave them with the orphans since they would be targeted for them. She then told Red that she was taking the orphans through Agate City, and that Route 1 was just through the cave. She wished him luck and ran off. Upon exiting the cave, Red was immediately met by Fern. Fern bragged that he had earned 8 badges, and made fun of Red for only having 7. He then challenged Red to a battle. Red felt a strange sense of deja vu... While making his way through Route 1, Red found a pair of glasses, broke up a fight between a Pinsir and a Heracross, caught a green Tauros, and took advantage of the nearly infinite milk supply. He also encountered a large castle with an official Reborn League sign. Red was greeted by a girl in a maid outfit named Luna. She took him into the main room, where he was greeted by a man in a golden crown and a talking Gardevoir. The man was Radomus, a chess mastermind and the psychic gym leader of Reborn, and his Gardevoir was a television celebrity known as the Gossip Gardevoir. Red learned that Luna was the same individual he had heard of at Serra's mansion, and that Radomus had taken her in after seeing how desperate she was to get away from her father. Red recalled how El had seemed a little off during his initial meeting. At that moment, Luna entered, and showed Cain in. Cain saw Red, and challenged him to a battle for the right to face Radomus first. Red sent out Geodette while Cain led with Muk. An Earthquake nearly knocked Muk out, while it used Minimize. Cain gave Muk some Moomoo Milk to recover, but Geodette's Bulldoze brought it back to the verge of fainting. Cain used another Moomoo Milk, but Geodette wasn't having it, knocking Muk out with an Earthquake. Red switched to his Magneton as Cain sent out Samurott. Magneton took a Night Slash and retaliated with Discharge, paralyzing Samurott. A second Discharge knocked it out. Red switched back to Geodette while Cain sent in Nidoking. Nidoking's Earthquake wasn't quite able to deliver a one-hit KO. Geodette's was. Red switched over to Blaine while Cain sent in Gengar. Gengar and Blaine dealt significant damage to each other with Shadow Ball and Crunch, respectively. Predicting another Shadow Ball, Red switched to Yang, only to have Yang be knocked out by a Focus Blast. Red sent Magneton out, and healed Blaine with a Moomoo Milk as Gengar knocked Magneton out with another Focus Blast. Red sent Blaine out once more, who took a Shadow Ball and knocked out Gengar with another Crunch. Cain then sent out Absol. Blaine tried to hit it with Close Combat, but was knocked out by a Sucker Punch instead. Red sent out Somno. Absol failed to hit Somno with a Sucker Punch, and was put to sleep. Somno danced 4 times before Absol woke up and attempted another Sucker Punch. Then Absol was put back to sleep, and promptly knocked out with a Bug Buzz. Cain sent out a Galvantula, but it also fainted to Somno's Bug Buzz. Cain admitted defeat, and said Red could go first. Luna reentered, saying she couldn't find Gardevoir anywhere. She also said a man in a white robe had delivered a letter for Radomus. The letter stated that El had taken Gardevoir, and would only return her if Radomus returned his daughter. Radomus muttered something about playing black today. Radomus seemed disinterested, only saying he would go after Gardevoir after Luna asked him to. He changed into a detective's outfit, and told Red and Cain to follow him. He led them down Route 1 to the sealed Grand Gates. They found a hidden chasm on the other side of a large, immobile gear. Cain and Red were able to get past easily, but Radomus had slightly more difficulty. He popped out and knocked Cain into the chasm. Fortunately, it was a short drop. Red and Radomus joined Cain after setting up an Escape Rope to get back up. They came across a large castle-like structure. They noticed a person walking towards them alongside Gardevoir. The person called themselves Adrienn, and demanded to know why he had mistreated Gardevoir. Gardevoir said she was sick of being with him, and that she had put on an act for years. Red thought there was something off about the whole situation. Adrienn noticed Red, said he had stolen property belonging to El, grabbed the Amethyst Pendant, and ran off. Red, Cain, and Radomus advanced up the castle. The ruby ring appeared to act as a key to the various doors. There were several puzzles that didn't make sense to Red until he realized that in them, light equated to always telling the truth, while darkness meant always telling lies. On the second last floor, Red and the others were met by Adrienn. Adrienn said xe was supposed to take the ring to El, but was no longer sure what was right and what was wrong. Radomus said all would be revealed soon. The group ascended to the top floor. El was waiting in front of a door with Gardevoir. One section was glowing purple, and, as Red approached, another began glowing red. El accused Radomus of brainwashing his daughter and dragging her into the darkness. Gardevoir claimed Radomus had mistreated her, while Radomus seemed unaffected by her words. Adrienn and Cain seemed to be unsure of who the real villain was. Red analyzed the facts. El appeared to be a sort of Arceus fanatic. He claimed Luna had been kidnapped and brainwashed by Radomus. However, if that were the case, why had she been staying with Serra and Bennet before that? As for Gardevoir, at the mansion she didn't seem like she was able to keep a secret. It was unbelievable that she had kept this fury bottled up for years. Radomus, perhaps, was not disinterested in the distress of his own Pokemon, but ignoring an impostor. Red wasn't able to see any differences between the Gardevoir on the roof and the one at the castle, but a certain section of Kanto had been infested with a Pokemon species capable of mimicking another Pokemon down to the very last detail. Since the original target had likely been absent for quite some time, it would probably be easy to convince it to take another form... Red sent out his Magneton. Gardevoir stopped talking, turned silver, and morphed into an identical Magneton. All at once, everyone stopped talking. Radomus said he was glad he wasn't the only one who had seen through El's trick. Being exposed, El had his Ditto take in the holy energy from the ruins. It morphed into an Arceus and charged at Red. Magneton was hit by a Focus Blast, but survived thanks to Sturdy, and fired off a Thunder Wave. (El wastes all of his Full Heals here). Then Red switched to Demonslayer. Demonslayer used Perish Song, and the false idol was silenced. Radomus then called out to his Gardevoir. Gardevoir then teleported to the rooftop, and put El to sleep with Hypnotize. The group returned to the surface, and found that the Grand Gate had opened. Adrienn acted as though this were nothing strange, and walked through it. Xe let out a scream. Red and the others ran out. Adrienn didn't understand why the city was such a mess, and ran off to the Coral Ward. The others followed behind. Radomus theorized that Adrienn had been trapped in time for over a decade. They found Adrienn at the ruined gym. Adrienn claimed they would fix the city in its entirety. The others wished Adrienn luck, and returned to Radomus's castle so Red and Cain could have their battles. At the castle, Radomus asked that Red let him hold on to the pendant. Red reluctantly agreed. Radomus introduced the castle's new butler, Elias. It was El in a tuxedo. Luna seemed afraid of the man, but Radomus convinced everyone that El had been subdued and hypnotized. While fighting the gym trainers, Red noticed a worrying side effect of the battlefield. Some moves were causing the massive chess pieces Red had thought were there for decorations to crash into opposing Pokemon. Red knew two of his best Pokemon did not appreciate being hit by giant pieces of rock. Red quickly made some adjustments to his team before entering. Red finally entered the main battlefield. Radomus and Gardevoir were waiting for him, while Cain, Elias, and Luna watched on the sidelines. (Resets: Surprisingly, zero) Radomus led with Reuniclus and Gallade while Red sent out Blaine and a Vileplume. Using its Quick Claw, Vileplume moved first and used Grassy Terrain, rooting the chess pieces in place. Blaine used Heat Wave, dealing significant damage to Radomus's Pokemon and setting the field on fire. Gallade and Reuniclus teamed up on Blaine with Close Combat and Focus Blast, bringing him to the verge of fainting. Red quickly healed Blaine with a Moomoo Milk, while Radomus used a Hyper Potion on Gallade. Then Blaine knocked out both of Radomus's Pokemon with another Heat Wave. Noticing that Vileplume was taking heavy damage from the flames, Red switched it for Somno, who could stay above the heat. Radomus sent out Metagross and Malamar. A single Heat Wave from Blaine brought down Metagross and dealt heavy damage to Malamar. Malamar set up Reflect. Radomus sent in Slowking, who was put to sleep by Somno as Blaine knocked out Malamar with another Heat Wave. Gardevoir descended from the balcony, Tracing Blaine's Intimidate. Red was glad he hadn't switched it to Flash Fire. Blaine fired off a Heat Wave, dealing little little damage to Slowking and moderate damage to Gardevoir. However, Blaine was knocked out by Gardevoir's Psychic. Somno used Quiver Dance as Slowking slept on. The flames on the battlefield died down, and the chess pieces were free again. Red sent in Geodette. Not wanting to risk Slowking waking up, Red had Somno finish it with Bug Buzz. Geodette took a Moonblast from Gardevoir, almost fainting, but retaliated with a critical Earthquake, finishing the match. As Red collected his badge and TM, the lights flickered, then went out.
