  1. I bet $R 20 that we'll see another 99.9%...
  2. Anyone who wishes to survive this next bit should pray to Lord Helix, because we all know whose side the other Poke-deity is on...
  3. Perhaps I should actually attempt to get a second badge now that the hierarchy has shifted a little...
  4. Ok... I did not know that dialogue was triggered because I never tried to milk a Miltank while I was on a Tauros, but... ok... So who's the new stalker friend?
  5. And it will be a special recipe that will only be given if you hand over both a piece of "Rare Candy" and Blue Moon Ice Cream. 5 servings of it.
  6. On the plus side, better AI means our partners will be smarter as well. (I'm looking at you, Aya and Florinia)
  7. The gods of RNG favor the noble Arcanine heavily. This is a fact I have come to know through experience. And as for Abra, its ability is Magic Guard, so it doesn't take burn damage.
  8. Don't worry. I missed that vendor completely in my first playthrough...
  9. Spectra and Haxorus(from the egg) are my two set-up sweepers, special and physical respectively. Very deadly, and Spectra is the reason why I was able to beat Valerie, Angie, and the Deoxy mob. Tails is my field fixer, who lets the sweepers do their jobs. Utterly destroyed Amber. Tanel is my physical tank, and has saved me multiple times. Argos and Magneton add extra coverage, and can hit fairly hard as well. In rotation I have my Espeon(starter) and Sylveon, who were important early game members. Yanmega and Crobat have been able to add extra coverage where needed. Gardevoir is in training.
  10. Guys, let's face it, even a Magikarp could be hazardous to your health... "A Magikarp living for many years can leap a mountain using Splash. The move remains useless, though." That's a 22 pound fish falling at what I assume would be terminal velocity...
  11. Nice! I usually just break that field, but it didn't seem to slow you down. Also, nice that you named your Eevee in the captain's honor. Judging by your reactions to Serra though, I'm assuming she won't become a Glaceon. As for runs I'd like to see done, Pokemon Rejuvenation and Red/Blue DX found on these forums would be entertaining I think...
  12. Or worse, each day Jan will just add one more 9 on the end of the completion status...
  13. Holy smokes... I'm better at Pokemon TCG than I thought... Praise Articuno/Lapras combo I guess...

  14. Well, this update has been long enough in the making... considering I beat Terra a week and a half ago... Update 17: The second coming... With the HM for Dive and the authorization to use it, Red returned to Ametrine Mountain. He hadn't been listening at the time, but apparently Terra had said that the source of the sleeping issue in Agate City was on top of Ametrine Mountain. Red found a nice, deep underwater tunnel by the wall of ice and dove in. When he emerged, he found himself inside the ice wall. The only other thing there was a PULSE machine connected to a massive Avalugg. The machine was going haywire, and the Avalugg seemed to be in pain, so Red decided to do the most humane thing. A few Heat Waves from Blaine and a few Stone Edges from Geodette brought down the behemoth, and the massive ice walls came down with it. After the snow settled, Red saw the way up the mountain had become unblocked. Shelly was standing on the other side. After Red explained what had caused the blockage, Shelly wondered why Team Meteor hadn't placed the machine at a choke point, rather than in a wide open area. The two put the thought aside and continued to travel up the mountain. They reached Ametrine City and decided to split up. No one in the city was willing to speak about Heather. Red did overhear whispers about a "guardian angel" who had started distributing food to the people in secret after the emergency food supply, but no one was willing to tell Red anything. Red and Shelly found each other at an abandoned house on the edge of the city. They found a prototype PULSE machine, and a diary detailing how Zel had been formed from three people from a freak Magneton evolution incident. Suddenly, a man with blue hair entered. He told them they shouldn't go wandering into places they didn't belong. After insulting them, he left. Red and Shelly tried to follow him as he left, but were too slow. Eventually, Red and Shelly found out from a small boy that the man was named Blake. Red recalled that Cain had said something about Heather being adopted by someone named Blake. Believing it unlikely to be a coincidence given the size of Ametrine, Red and Shelly tracked down Blake's appartment. Blake was playing a video game. Shelly asked him where Heather was. Blake ignored them and continued playing. Red wanted to punch Blake, but knew he wouldn't find out Heather's location with physical violence. Finally, after clearing the level, Blake responded. He said he was with Team Meteor, and that he would release Heather if Red could get him the Ruby Ring. Recalling what Saphira had said, Red refused. Blake offered Red the HM for Waterfall in addition. Red still refused, and Shelly begged him to change his mind. Blake realized Red had the ring with him, and stole it. When Shelly asked where Heather was, Blake said that the deal was off, and that he was going to catch a helicopter. Red and Shelly ran after him. They saw a man who looked like Blake, but turned out to be Cal, who dyed his hair blue in an attempt to turn over a new leaf. Cal said he was sorry, and that he wasn't expecting forgiveness, but he still wanted to help them stop Team Meteor. He told them there was a secret passage in Blake's appartment that led to a prison/shed that Blake was likely keeping Heather in. Shelly looked for clues to the password. Red plugged in numbers until the door opened, needing only 2704 tries. (No, this isn't what I did.) Shelly had her pokemon Heather work together with not-pokemon-Heather's Salamence to break down the steel door, freeing not-pokemon-Heather. She apologized for how she had acted, and said she had been locked up by Blake for feeding the starving townspeople the stolen rations. She flew off on Salamence to pay back Blake and get her ring, taking Shelly with her. Red returned to the mountain. Cal was fighting his way through various grunts, but was having trouble, as his fire-type Pokemon were weaker in the cold, and he was outnumbered. He told Red that Blake was going to the top of the mountain to catch a helicopter, and that he wanted to stop him and possibly get back at Solaris if he showed up. Red joined Cal, and Blaine's Heat Wave was able to negate the extreme cold hindering Cal's team. After fighting through the first wave, they met up with Shelly and Heather. Heather and Cal flew off on their aces to intercept the helicopter fleet, while Shelly and Red fought the grunts on the ground. Finally, Red and Shelly reached the entrance to the top of the mountain. However, Aster appeared. Aster challenged Red to one last battle as Shelly went ahead to fight Blake, wanting to see if they could win by combining their team with Eclipse's. Red sent out Lady Helixia as Aster brought out Solrock. Solrock set a Reflect as Lady Helixia used Shell Smash. Then Lady Helixia washed away Solrock, Golurk, Rhyperior, and Magmortar with one Surf each. Helixia was able to do significant damage to Electrivire with Mud Shot, but fainted in return from a Thunder Punch. Geodette was brought in, and Aster used a Hyper Potion before nearly knocking Electrivire out with Earthquake, which survived only thanks to Solrock's Reflect. Another Hyper Potion was used, and Geodette hit Electrivire with a Bulldoze. With that, the Reflect faded. Electrivire hit hard with Cross Chop, but was finished by another Earthquake. Red switched over to Somno as Milotic was brought in. Somno put Milotic to sleep, danced twice, and dealt heavy damage with a Bug Buzz. Milotic woke up and responded with a Scald, which Somno shrugged off before finishing Milotic with a second Bug Buzz, finishing Aster. Aster said they were quitting Team Meteor, and gave Red the HM for Waterfall as thanks for setting them straight. Red continued onwards. Shelly had just been defeated, and Blake had just finished healing his team. Blaine and Helixia were met with Blake's Jynx and Rotom. Jynx hit both of Red's Pokemon with Blizzard, Blaine responded with Heat Wave(missing Jynx but destroying the field), and Rotom finished Helixia with a Thunderbolt. Red brought in Guardian, his newly acquired Vulpix, which immediately turned the weather to Red's favour. Blake switched Jynx for Weaville and healed Rotom, but both fainted to Blaine's next Heat Wave. As Blake brought in Walrien and Froslass, Red switched Guardian for Somno. Somno was immediately hit by Froslass's Shadow Ball, who was knocked out in turn by Blaine's Heat Wave. Walrein used Surf, which failed to finish either of Red's Pokemon. Vanilluxe was brought in. Red healed Blaine, and Blaine fired off another Heat Wave, nearly knocking out both of Blake's Pokemon. Vanilluxe missed Somno but hit Blaine with Blizzard, while Walrein finished Somno with Avalanche. Red brought in Geodette. Blake healed Vanilluxe as Blaine finished Walrein and undid the healing with Heat Wave. Finally, Geodette finished Vanilluxe with Heavy Slam. Blake's last Pokemon was Jynx. She failed to knock out Geodette with Energy Ball due to Sturdy and was knocked out immediately by Blaine's mighty Heat Wave, ending the match. Blake didn't seem too fazed by the loss, and prepared to board a helicopter. He even started waving the ring around to taunt Red. Then Heather flew by and stole the ring. Blake shouted curses at them as the helicopter flew off into the distance. Realizing where he was, Red looked for whatever was causing the sleeping spell in Agate. When he explained what Terra had said, Cal said there was no way such a structure could be supported at the top of the mountain. As he left, he gave Red some advice. He told Red to watch out for Terra, since he knew of her through Team Meteor. ******** Red returned to the circus. He revealed that Terra was a member of Team Meteor. Ciel and Samson didn't believe Red at first, but Terra then said something along the lines of her being unable to believe that it had taken Red this long to figure it out. Then she disappeared into her computer. Samson said the computer wasn't responding to any input, and seemed to be waiting for "Player 2." Seeing no other option, Red placed his hand on the monitor, and was sucked in. Everything went dark. ******** Red was on his way to challenge the Elite Four. His journey of almost a year had paid off. He had collected the eight badges of the Kanto region, and had agreed to meet his rival, Blue, at the throne of the league champion. He made his way through Victory Road, determined to reach the Indigo Plateau. In the back of Red's mind, something didn't feel right. The world seemed to be devoid of colour. Pokemon were receiving more or less damage than they were supposed to, and there seemed to be things that didn't belong. But Red paid these things no attention. The Helix Fossil in his bag, which had led him this far, promised that the end was in sight. The mighty Mewtwo appeared, blocking Red's path. Red smiled and sent out Lady Helixia, the goddess. Using her Quick Claw, she was able to Shell Smash before Mewtwo's Thunderbolt, and after two more boosts and several heals, she was able to bring down the heretic. Red strolled into the champion's lair. Terra, tamer of Ciels was waiting for him. Lady Helixia floated majestically in the air thanks to the Air Balloon Red had bought her. GIOVANNI was obviously jealous of Helixia's power, and brought her down to the ground with Blizzard. Lady Helixia used Shell Smash, preparing to smite him. And then she called forth a mighty flood, washing away GIOVANNI. EXCAKILL, CLAYBOYBUNNY, and HIPHOPOTAMUS were all swiftly dealt with by Helixia's mighty flood as well. SWAGSIRE, however, had the nerve to Unaware of Helixia's awesome powers, even going as far as burning her. After gaining more power, Helixia finally smited the foolish SWAGSIRE. However, one foe still remained. RAWRCHOMP entered the battlefield. Helixia struck... and narrowly missed the knockout, being knocked out in return. It was then that Red's Helix Fossil imparted a legendary battle tactic, passed down for generations... ********* Red woke up in the back room with Ciel and Samson. He didn't remember anything from his time in the computer, but had a splitting headache. He also had another badge on his Trainer's Card. Samson had unplugged the computer to keep Terra from getting away. Red remembered he needed to help Titania and Amaria. Not stopping to recover from his headache, he cycled as fast as he could to the mountains, and climbed the nearest waterfall as quickly as possible. It was only after he had gotten lost that he realized that Amaria and Titania had gone down the waterfall...
