So apparently, my Youtube channel somehow has 13 subscribers, despite the fact that I've only commented things (until now)..........weird.

.............well, I was looking under the completely wrong section. Only 5 have their subscriptions non-private. Two are smaller youtubers I subscribed to and another two I've talked to before; the other looks legit enough.
Don't know about the hidden 8, but possibly inactive/spam/clicked on a whim. Well, they can enjoy/ignore the incomplete video/compilation I uploaded if they see it. Only thing I'll likely ever upload

I never 'got' this song when Volume 4's soundtrack came out, and I never really followed Grim Eclipse aside from the 'first came out on Steam Greenlight' hype.........(and I forgot the look anything up after listening to it initially.......oops). Seeing this does add some much needed context to the song
and gives a rare example of RT actually making a good (mostly non-generic) RWBY villain with only a limited time to show them.Spoiler- Show previous comments 5 more

This has been one of my favorite RWBY songs ever since I first played Grimm Eclipse. Really really good.
As far as Merlot goes, yeah he was an ok villain in the game but the limited screentime didn't give him a true chance to shine as an intelligent antagonist. Hearing mentions of him in the show would be nice, but I personally don't have very high hopes. I don't think the past volumes were headed any way that would allow it to make a lot of sense.

I didn't actually watch the game yet, so I suppose it was a bit early to call him a 'good' villain........at least he seemed better than Vol 1-3 Cinder at any rate.
If they do try to incorporate him, I hope they don't try some generic "put him with the rest of the villains" thing, since it wouldn't make sense for his character (and then justify it with the "he became more unhinged" excuse.
yet it seems just generic enough for RT to do...Not likely to be incorporated, but maybe...... -
I can actually see him join Salem in two ways:
1 - He is forced to make some Grimm stronger for Salem and the gang, this also allows him to research Grimm.
2- He joins Salem only to research and mutate Grimm for his own goal while mutating some for her on occasion.
The difference between these being that with option two he will not be forced and simply comply and work together with Salem.

Stage 69 complete. A pure 'breather' chapter after the Hell of last stage, and a rare 'event only' deployment list. Watch as I still find enough to talk about to drag this one for a little bit; no complaints this time.........ok, one complaint, but not about the stage
SpoilerThis is a simple "rush to kill the mooks" stage, with all of the mooks being those morale-lowering sheep from stage 58. They are still bulky enough, with about 12K HP and a barrier. The main gimmick is keeping your units at low morale, but they also make sure to mostly give you units that 1) can give themselves a Morale-boost through spirit commands, 2) can give others Morale boosts, or 3) have damage boosting spirits.
SpoilerAs long as you don't skimp on casting spirits, it's perfectly doable in 5 turns.
Two main highlights this stage.
1) The "Secret" Genji item. I have to include the quotes since it REALLY makes it obvious to check out this suspicious glowing spot. The only question would be 'who to send', if you didn't uncover any of the hidden conversation spots on the same lake before
SpoilerGenji rises from the depths dramatically (complete with lightning) in all his PC-98 glory to give a monolouge (will have to wait for translation LP for this one)
SpoilerSpoiler2) Yumeko and Shinki join, Arriving from the depths of defeat, both maid and master join me on turn 3 with the other reinforcements. Yumeko lost her 'support attack herself' ability, but still manages to outpace Sakuya in almost every way..........'Alpha Sakuya: Maid harder'.
For being a huge boss, Shinki shows more of her motherly side now, being mostly a supporter who can also hit hard. Just her base upgrades put her above 11k HP, which is already more than the battleship. She's also the only 4 cost, single unit.
SpoilerMy ONLY complain has to do with Shinki's MAP attack. She actually got to keep one of her two MAPs, though in typical fashion, it was nerfed. From a 1-6 in all directions to a 3-5 with a notable 'no hit' zone and less range.........I get that we as the player shouldn't get amazing MAPs, with Sanae's MAP being a costly exception with a touch of creator bias, but come on. This is just cruel.
SpoilerNote to self, still have to try out Patchi's new MAP attack
