It gets a bit more blatent at a point, but all of it is just related to Patchi, who they made be a walking Father/Homunculous/Dante reference for this one series (but none of their others). She even references that she is kept alive with a Philosipher's Stone here and does a similar "demonstration" of her limited immortality to Greed.
With the amount of blatant Jojo references I've seen lately in Touhou doujin, blunt FMA references are welcome.

Spent most/all of my free time yesterday reading 4komas, so I still haven't finished Fantasy Maiden Wars stage 72. I'll finish my first run through of the series eventually..........I mean, there are only 5 stages left after this one (and 3 new bonus stages now with the final patch).
Might as well go ahead post this in the meantime. I also can't find an "All attacks" compilation video for this stage's main boss, so I uploaded the only webm I could find of their finisher onto Youtube. It even has the humorous 'generic villain laugh' that I mentioned played last chapter.
SpoilerAlso just because I finally got the unit way later than it should be given, Hisoutensoku's attacks

Happy 900! May the 9 be in your favor

Well, I was going to post two images that your new profile pic reminded me of
SpoilerIt took a lot of digging to find both that I had re-found quite a few old things, that I'll post too......though I will put the three sad ones at the end. All can be clicked on to take you to the page (since some are big images). I have them somewhat divided up by character, but not all the way. Since it's a RWBY art dump, @Alistair.

No, Hisoutensoku!
It even has the 'Red eyes of possession/control' trope.
Yeah, started the next stage and this is happens in the opening cutscene.Just wanted to post this pic of best girl now that she's finally appeared........even if she's an enemyfor now.SpoilerSidenote 1: Kanoko doesn't show her 'shocked' character portrait often, but it is still funny when it appears
Sidenote 2: I'm loving the BGM for this stage. So.....whimsical??
SpoilerSidenote 3: I'm also loving the background of this stage. I don't remember this from anything canon
though I have to re-look at the fighting games. Or maybe I just like the look of Ice levelsSpoilerSpoilerSpoiler -
FMW Stage 71 complete. I really put this one off, but I really wanted to finish those 4Koma series I had on my 'to read' list (and catching up on a few that finally got translated).
Another mook-only stage, and another "Get everyone to a certain point within 6 turns" mission where movement-restricting Danmaku are the main problems. Thankfully, the skill point tells you "6 turns" right from the start, so I knew not to be shy about using spirits. A few times, I used a characters entire pool of SP in one turn, but I made beat everything in good time (with only two mook barely hanging on by the start of turn 4).
It was quite cathartic, if a bit annoying with how many separate Danmaku fields there were.
The one stage where Pressure would have actually come in handy, and I didn't bring either unit that has it.The last cutscene has Tenshi learn her final move, person skill, and spirit in dramatic fashion (
as she masters being the 00 Gundam). Included the tail end of Iku's finisher theme......you'll probably hear the reference (or at least have a good chance of it, since it's a popular mecha among non-mecha fans).SpoilerThe last talking scene has the main antagonist seemingly summon(?) someone to help.........complete with a generic evil laugh track. Then again, a generic evil laugh does fit the character she summoned(?). I really want to read the actual story behind this character, since the entire game-original story here is about dreams having form.....or something like that. Just have to wait for the translation LP now.
Spoilerbasically, wondering if the
giant catfishis meant to just be a dream of Meiling's (like it is/might be in canon) given life or if it is it's own entity that was actually summoned. -
Two floods of University spam in one week? Usually a big flood is only once a month at most.
Are they stepping up their game or just getting bold/desperate?
