I'll agree that sometimes the same formula over and over again does get boring. Heck, you play one Mario game and you've essentially played them all, for example. Pokemon is also a great example of this. But if you can change things up (such as added distractions in Pokemon like contests, the Underground, etc.) or a unique plot line and implement them well, then it's all good.

I personally like both for different reasons. Torterra is great in battle with its great movepool and stats. Meganium is just freaking adorable and I have a major weakness for cute things.

Nice team! If I may make some recommendations for Magnezone, you could replace Electro Ball with Hidden Power (of course, you'd need to find out what Hidden Power's type would be on Magnezone and I'm not sure where you'd determine that or if the Hidden Power is even available-I'm only on Route 1 in my playthrough). I'd suggest either Magnet Rise (temporarily negating its double weakness to Ground-types) or Electric Terrain (to temporarily power up its own moves and potentially cancel out any annoying field effects) to replace Lock-On. Flash Cannon and Discharge are great as they are.

Pokemon and ability wise, you're pretty good aside from Greninja and Scrafty both being weak to Fairy types. Moveset wise, you don't have your Trainer Card up for others to see, so I can't judge that.

This sounds really cool. Cold War history and Pokemon? Heck yeah I'm interested! You mention that taking on the Majors, Colonels and General are merely the second stage of training. It seems like there's a lot of room for potential after game material since no one knows what happens once a soldier defeats them. It could also imply that beating the General isn't going to be the end of the game if players decide to do that. What I wonder is what happens after that second stage of training? I understand if you'd rather keep this private, but it very interesting to think about. All in all, good luck with the game if you do decide to make it. It has a lot of potential.

I have 2 accessories that have sentimental value to me. The first is a slightly worn peace sign bracelet. I've been a sort of hippie for as long as I can remember, and the peace signs remind me to never change who I am. It's also surprisingly durable. This is only the second of about 5 or 6 of these that I own, and the first one lasted for about 7 years if I remember correctly. The second is a necklace containing the peace sign from the first peace sign bracelet and an angel charm with the bottom half of its body missing. I like to think the angel is a physical representation of my guardian angel protecting me.

I'd prefer to be a Gym Leader or Elite 4 member/Champion. I really can't imagine being anything else.

There are so many options. How could I just pick one? I have a list of everything I'd want. Wish-so all my hopes and dreams can come true. Sketch/Mimic-learn a new skill/attack and retain it hopefully forever Swords Dance-dude. Pulling out swords and intimidating others with them? Yes please. Plus, this is my favorite attack animation wise. If you've ever seen this move used in Pokemon Colosseum/XD: Gale of Darkness, then I think you'd understand why I love this move so much. Flamethrower-Being able to burn all my enemies to a crisp? Even better. Fly/Teleport-screw learning how to drive. This would be way more convenient. Surf-maybe it could help me swim better and get over my fear of drowning. Growth-I could help my plants grow~ Stockpile and Swallow-theoretically, I could feed myself this way, with whatever I'm stockpiling...

This is rather hard to answer. It's hard to find something I like about myself when having with some self-esteem issues and not wanting to sound super conceited. If I had to pick any one thing, I'd say it's my honesty. Maybe it's because I've been hurt in the past because of lies, or it might have had something to do with my stepdad forcing honesty down my throat, or maybe I'm just a really bad liar, but I'm that type of person that wants others to know how I feel on certain issues....Okay, I completely forgot where I was going with this, and now I'm trying to be honest with myself on a lot of my issues. It feels...bittersweet, to say the least. I don't want to bring anyone down with this. I love the idea behind this thread.
