Sorry to be off topic but is there more info about the insurgence level cap mod? I've been trying to implement that in my game but couldn't figure out how to do it. If some one was able to make a mod with it it must be relatively easy? Can some one pm me with a brief explanation or where I can locate the script to do it?

My favorite thing about the game has always been the difficulty of the battles and the plot. I'm not a fan of side quests because they are usually contrary to both of those things. If it were up to me and I had side quests that actually advanced the plot then that should just be integrated into the main progression. I understand the interest in side quests to get rare Pokemon even though it's not my favorite because it adds length to using the team i want. Overall I feel this game is strong enough without that type of optional slog. Its graphically strong, the plot is exceptional and the difficulty is good and hopefully will get higher in the last few episodes. My vote is more length to the main developments and less side ventures.

Her getting killed like that is the best case scenario for double battles. Set up a sweeper friend. If her Pokemon die every turn then that means yours is still alive. That was one of the hardest battles for me back in the day though.

I had a similar problem. I ran into some clown with a wierd mask and an old rival. Was like a nightmare.

I had a nightmare like this once. I got to the end of the game, and beat the elite four. I went into the champions room and approached the champion's stage. As I got there, the champion turned around. The champion was me. Me IRL. I thought it was a cheap novelty that they managed to introduce some type of image capture and use it to make a sprite of me, but then we battled. The champion used all my favorite pokemon and played in a way identical to who I myself would play. I eventually won, and when the player character became the champion of the league, I switched places with him. In real life, I was the player character. I tried to speak and nothing happen. I woke up screaming, in a cold sweat.

If you are sure the files are in tact then it's a problem with the game itself. Jan will have to fix it. But it seems very likely you are just overlooking something with the files. I haven't applied the latest patch though so there is a chance it's related to that.

Have you tried just using a fresh download and patch? This doesn't happen to me so it's gotta just be a problem. With your files.

You can restart the game by pressing F12.

Think it took 3 attempts my first try. That s going to be a problem going forward I'd imagine. The game was hard early because our Pokemon were much weaker. Now that ours are as strong as any Pokemon can be it's a lot harder to make an adequate challenge.

Yup, agreed entirely. That's why I warned about it. The idea behind the game sounds really really cool, but in doing this it would actually be easy to make the game much easier, as part of Reborn's challenge curve is dependent on field manipulation.

The Pokemon community itself is a remarkable bunch. Very kind compared to much of what I've seen on the web. But this section of it is spectacular. I am very excited you are back up and running and will be sure to play the he'll out of version 9 whenever it's ready.

I actually meant the players team. The gyms use Pokemon that are already set up to be difficult but half that difficulty is assuming the player doesn't have access to Pokemon equally powerful. That won't be the case anymore with this mod, so will likely require buffing in other ways. For example, there are fields which are easily manipulated but usually require a specific Pokemon to do so, usually a much weaker option then you normally consider. Now, that Pokemon breaks the field and is as strong as the leader's so it become twice as easy to win.

I play through re game every few months anyway so maybe. Looking forward to gen 7 either way. Might not use the starters though.

What I've been doing is picking 6 Pokemon and editing them in with whatever movesets and stuff I want then to have. Then try to beat the whole game with just those six. It's been pretty fun, but very difficult. Maybe a good idea for you is a run where you spell challenge correctly though? Sorry, couldn't resist!

This is a great idea, but just take a look at what this does to gyms and other key encounters. Buffing weak Pokemon can easily make some teams op thanks to fields and even against legendaries will own.

Golem with sturdy and explosion has helped me tackled many a sticky situation.

I've been following this for quite a while and am really excited to see its progress! Is there a quick answer to how to use the new Party system? I started playing and am loving the difficulty and everything else but I don't see a way to initiate it or how it works. Did I miss something? I see now, I think I must of misunderstood. I expected fern to actually join the party (as an example) butt that's not how it works. Is there a correlation directly to the party members? I understand it has something to do with battling with other characters in the game, but I was expecting to get a full grass type user after getting fern's completion, etc. Am I wrong to think that?

Its actually not that hard at all. The doubles battles in this game can be pretty tough so I understand Shelly, but you are talking about the bug type man. If you are having trouble with this game in such a way you may not want to continue. Its difficulty is well balanced and a lot of fun if you are interested in the PVE elements of Pokemon.
