  1. Is it actually possible to change the keybindings in RPGmaker console? I don't think it actually is. Regardless, you can absolutely bind f12 to a keypad if you have the spare binds. ANY key input can be bound, even buttons on the mouse. If its not working, it must be a disconnect with your OS or your keyboard.
  2. Do you guys really think we will get legendaries? We have already battled a few and beaten them lol. I would say if anything, that is what to expect. Team Xen or another of our encounters to be attempting to manipulate them and me needing to use Perish Song on them.
  3. I prefer the current system because it allows you to over train for certain abilities, but agree the Insurgence implementation is more skillful and defined. Seems like level cap 2.0 simply. Better in pretty much every way. but then again, insurgence isn't 1/4th the difficulty of the game so its not that big of a deal. If its on Amethyst's radar I'd be down with it, but its not that big of a deal.
  4. While we are on the topic, I must admit I haven't always followed the releases. Has he historically only added 1 gym per version/episode of the game? Is that a strict planning method like with Reborn? Regardless, I believe it will be some one we haven't met yet. But what type? Dark would probably me the most challenging. Depending on what field he comes up with. Really can't wait to see that!
  5. Since the Shedinja has been patched away from availability, I'd recommend the second crazy part of the strat I originally used. Get a paras with dry skin and train him for Special attack and health. Get two while you are at it. They can probably do the whole gym alone. Turn 1 spore, turn 2 giga drain. As long as the fight doesn't go on for the whole week you'll continually heal from the rain. I'd recommend a very offensive electric type for the politoed then bunker down and outlast the rest. You will probably need a fighting type for the Lapras though, I don't know how many ice beams the Paras can take. I have it outlined pretty well here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aeo2BkBABr0 I show just how strong the paras can be. Venusaur and swazyB can be just as effective. Just ignore the parts about shednija since Jan likes to nerf fun. zzz
  6. I've bred and trained all the eeveelutions so far and can attest that it will always evolve in one of the three non-stone / condition paths at level 14 from my experience. It goes to the Fairy type when you teach it the fairy move a few levels prior, the dark type when its night time, and the psychic when its day. 3/3 went this way, then had another do it by accident when I was trying to get some more moves before giving it a stone.
  7. Guys this gym is such a pushover! The answer you seek is right outside! Shedinja! Was it removed from v6? I did another playthrough of the game on intense quickly cheating in the exact same team I have just to test the differneces, and found poor Val to be just as easy. The only thing you need is a good grass type to beat her rotom and you can annihilate the other 5 with a single pokemon. Check out how the strat unfolds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aeo2BkBABr0 perhaps Jan removed the option of getting the shedinja? If so, then you'll need a much more severe hard counter team.
  8. oops somehow posted twice. can't figure out how to delete gg
  9. Are you playing on Intense Mode? I LOVE Intense mode because I love a good PVE challenge like the one Pokemon can present. Its basically a puzzle that you need to solve in order to succeed, and the more information you have the more realistic this becomes. For me, I like to create as near a 100 percent win condition for each difficult battle in the game. I agree, it is VERY difficult with doubles, especially the Geara/Zetta one. I'm surprised you were able to beat that and can't beat amber though. Having two of YOUR pokemon on the field makes things much much easier. My suggestion is to set up a tailwind condition. Essentially, a condition where you can deal irreparable damage to Amber's team every turn, but only because you go first. Typically, her team is all quite fast. There are a few options for tailwind in the game, so pick one and max it's speed EV (done easily by grinding the raticates in Narcissa's gym.) This allows that pokemon's speed to basically translate to the rest of your team. Using this, I was EASILY able to set up a condition where 4 pokemon take out her 6. The only outlier was the Charizard. For Charizard, I went with a 1v1 match up where my electric pokemon takes him out easily. Helioptile, faster and enough special attack with the zap plate to one shot him on a high roll. From there I set up the condition and earthquake them down with Golem(which also misses the tailwind pokemon!) I then switch to Stone Edge against the bug and flying types at the end. IMO, on Intense mode, this was the easiest 100 percent win condition to approach of all the gym leaders. The easiest was of course Val with a Shedinja. The video on this battle will be up in a few days, but I encourage you to consider these topics more heavily. That's the brilliance of Pokemon fan games. They can make them a very interesting and suitable challenge. The original games and most rom hacks are far from this and get very boring very quick.
  10. For sure would recommend mining every rock you find. Got about 5-6 Heart Scales so far from them.
  11. forums finally back up yay! Here is the video as promised for the updated Normal Gym. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6KB3zrIPi0
  12. Ha ya not sure. I just copy/paste the link as text, then highlight it all and hit the link tool in the forum's scripts so it appears that way. Also, gonna power through the game from scratch to check out whats new. I'll record an updated look at the normal gym too so we can get that old one out of there.
  13. Thanks for the info guys. The plan was to breed a bunch of Eevees and have a whole team of em!
  14. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has some info I can not seem to find. Just got my Eevee and wondering if / how its possible to evolve them to Grass and Ice in this game. Searched the forums for Moss Rock and Ice Rock but didn't see any concrete answers. If anyone knows and would like to share this information, I would be much in your debt!
  15. Thanks for featuring my videos. I have a specific video just for Crawli's gym btw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F21AsbY-GEQ Also have for the actual puzzle part of Angie's gym https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJmxUG7cj4o just like the ones for normal and ghost gyms! Feel free to just put those in instead if you prefer.
  16. Pretty interesting addition. I was about to spend some hours here checking out the options until I read this thread. So its ONLY Eevee, Axew, and Ralts. What's the earliest you could evolve Eevee? I'm trying to think of a place to get a stone other than mining, and they all seem to come much later in my mind at least. What does the Axew trade on route 3 yield? He is probably the best just because of dragon rage. Charmander was OP with that for the first area at least. If I evolve Eevee and then try to breed him with a ditto later, it will always yield an eevee right?
  17. just making sure this means that the abilities listed as changing the field don't properly change it to a new field. The text applies, but the efficacy changes do not happen. It says fixed, but I assume that means in a build you have been working on privately? Hopefully to be released soon, I'm having a LOT of trouble getting past zetta and geara on Intense mode! Not tryna end a let's play yo! jk didnt see 6.2 EDIT lol edit2 - notices only Blizzard and Glaciate effect the field now. Rain Dance was removed from the list this battle is nuts. Can we add to the list that Melia only brings three damn pokemon zzz
  18. me and melia take on the world. love that chick
  19. boom bbd going to bat. Nice work buddy. If you have any questions let me know OP. That was recorded in version 5, so not sure if its changed at all.
  20. So Alpha test is private, beta test is selective public, and then after those two are done 100 percent the link is posted for everyone?
  21. Ya that's how it looks when you DONT install the fonts. IE you made a mistake. I suppose if you like that better you can do it though! Just find out the fonts that package with the game and uninstall them from your computer. I think its the Power Green etc.
  22. Interesting, no. I'll have to watch back the footage to see if I actually missed it then or if it just didn't occur. This was my biggest issue with the game though. I ran into a few different issues like this. Events that clearly had a set path scripted out both in the creator's mind and in the game, but because I did things a slightly different way it essentially broke the game for me. That's one piece of advice I would make sure to incorporate moving forward. You need to assume that if there IS a way to bypass an important part of the game, a player will find a way especially unintentionally. That level of accountability is mandatory in these games, imo.
  23. Anyone have the answer to when and where I overcome the level 20 cap? I'm about to enter the Telegraph Hill Tower but still can't level above 20. Makes beating the rival here wayyyy more difficult than it needs to be at this point with such few pokemon available, even with full EV training done on all 6 members of my team! Am I missing something major about this game or am I just missing the place I was meant to be allowed to level my pokemon again? Being underleveled and not being able to switch out for 1 to 1 match up counters is a level of difficulty the game doesn't need imo. EDIT Alright answered my own question there, now I can go to 35. If I could give feedback so far its lower Elissa's pokemon. Its quite arduous being her with underleveled pokemon AND not being able to switch out for proper match ups. Now I'm noticing pokemon over level 25 aren't obeying. Is that intentional? If so, will it be changed in the immediate future. Once again fighting pokemon nearly 10 levels higher and going over 25 makes it even harder! In the Dead Town jumping puzzle atm.
