  1. I had a quite similar idea a few days ago, but I had no motivation to start a thread. What would your team be based on the location you live in the real world? So I guess this thread can fuction for both so why not? Trainer Class: Pokemon Breeder Party:

U wot,   they just pile up one after the other.   Just when i finished rejuv,  postscriptum updated, and  now i have SPEE queued right next to it...  Will i ever have real life outside work?

Don't worry bro. I just finished it, it's not that long story wise...
But it has polished some old parts and added a few new things

  3. Just Detect actually. Detect and sacking the rest of the team was enough to PP stal it. And thanks to 1 Intimidate Yveltal's Struggle couldn't OHKO medicham in the end, so I could spam healing items. I prefered to waste 1 Revive though just in case of an unlucky crit
  4. I beat Yveltal during Beta with the use of a single Revive! And tbh, I could have kept the Revive and just spam healing items in the end :]
  5. Ally Switch in VGC is so broken fun! https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7vgc2018-722384224 VS TR https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7vgc2018-722386039 VS opposing TW
  6. Most of the changes I saw here are either going to be broken or have a very specific niche. If you want to buff/nerf types but not touching the type chart for whatever reason, you have to then look to individual mons. For example the Ice type has so many weaknesses but great offensive coverage. But if you look at the Ice types you'll see that most of them are more defensive oriented than offensive. The most offensive ones like Weavile, Kyurem-B and Mamoswine are easily on the higher tiers while defensive mons like Avalugg, Regice and Articuno are sitting in the bottom. What Ice types need are more offensive pokemon and less defensive and particulary with and evenly strong offensive secondary typing. Also Hycrox's suggestion about Stealth Rocks doing less damage would also help the more defensive ones, but at the same time might make other types even greater pivots (imagine an Amoonguss or Toxapex taking almost nothing and heal it back with Black Sludge). Nerfing SR damage but also making it stackable twice sounds more fare imo. Rock type on the other hand what is lacking were speedy offensive mons. Thankfully Gen7 gave us a bunch of them with Minior, Nihilego and Midday and Dusk Lycanrocs but they are not enough. More special attacking Rock types would be indeed better so they don't get easilly get screwed by Intimidate of physical walls, but what Rock types need more are reliable set up sweepers! You can say that Rock types have many set up users but most of them are meh or straight up bad. Most Shell Smash users are not that great due to the defense drops so they have to switch out against common priority moves like Bullet Punch or Water Shuriken. Rock Polish for slower wallbreakers like Aggron and Rhyperior it's still not enough to outspeed many common pokemon that can revenge kill them and Swords Dance has only a handful of good users, mainly Lycanroc-Dusk Terrakion and Kabutops in Rain teams, which all would also wish that had a 4th attacking move too. The best imo are Dragon Dance Tyranitar and Tyrantrum and with Hone Claws M-Aero falling a bit behind due to 4mss. Personally I would love to see more Rock types that can boost 2 or more stats at the same and have an easier time sweep than Shell Smashers. Like a Bug/Rock type with Quiver Dance at a respectable speed tier would be amazing. As for Grass types what we need is better abilities and coverage for them. No more Chlorophyl and Leaf Guard users and more Grass types with coverage that matters. For example a fire type move like Solar Ray or something that is quite widespread would be great. Or at least more offensive special Grass types with Earth Power or physical with EQ. The ones that already get EP are most of the time carrying it and the ones that can get EQ have it mostly for luring reasons.
  7. Restarting with the best team in the league!
  8. Tried some VGC 2018 today and this year's format looks very interesting and fun https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7vgc2018-719278961 Team for anyone that wishes to try it out https://pokepast.es/c9bfbc3e2e989c01
  9. The TM for Calm Mind is not in the game and Meowstic can only learn it via TM unfortunately
  10. Sorry to bust your bubble, but there is also not legit 6 IV Ditto. If your problem is that your friend "cheated" his pokemon then you shouldn't use a cheated one for breeding
  11. All legendaries as well as pokemon that can't breed at all (like baby pokemon) all come with 3 max IVs, exactly like how it is in canon games. When legendaries will be available you have to soft reset if you want more than max 3 IVs
  12. Yes, I want my nicknames all in caps! Team is obviously designed for E4 content
  13. Dark Pulse on Rotom-H isn't that good of an option. A more supportive move like Trick, Will-O-Wisp/Thunder Wave for double status, Light Screen/Reflect or Electroeb for speed control are all good choices. There's also the choice of a more offensive move like Fould Play, Thunderbolt/Discharge or HP Grass for those pesky Water/Grounds that wall Rotom. Other Fire Pokemon you can use over Rotom-H are: -Molters with Huricane, Heat Wave, U-Turn, Roost/Tailwind -Incineroar with Flare Blitz, Darkest Lariat, U-Turn, Fake Out -Infernape with Flare Blitz, Close Combat, U-Turn, Fake Out -Darmanitan with Flare Blitz, Earthquake, Rock Slide, U-Turn -Talonflame with Flare Blitz, Acrobatics/Brave Bird, Will-O-Wisp/Swords Dance, Roost/Tailwind
  14. Is this for ingame or for competitive? Cause this section is for competitive RMT and judging by the fact you have unreleased mega and moves I assume is for competitive and I'll rate accordingly! So first things first, team gets steamrolled by Ash-Greninja and Hawlucha and can't deal almost at all against Rotom-W. Bulky Grass types such as Ferrothorn, Tangrowth and M-Venusaur are also annoying with rocks up since Volcarona is your only way to deal with them. Z-move Kartana can also easily sweep you and Tapu Bulu can have a field day against the team. Celesteela, Landorus-T and Zapdos can pivot around the team quite easily and chip away the team and M-Medicham just clicks buttons against. Last but certanily not the least, you have Volcarona and no way to remove hazzards! Once rocks are up it's gg! On the sets themselves: Fire Fang on M-Garchomp is not the best choice. Fire Blast even with a negative Sp. Attack nature hits harder Celesteela, Skarmory and Ferrothorn without SD and at +2 Attack in the Sand Stone Edge hits Celesteela and Skarm as hard as Fire Fang while EQ OHKOs Ferro. Use Fire Fang only on regular Chomp with SD and Firium-Z. Ttar is fine but I would test Ice Punch over Fire Punch to hit Lando and Zygarde on the switch if really in need. EQ is also an option to hit Magearna Sand Rush Excadrill is weak without a Z-move this gen. Steelium-Z is usually what works best although it still struggles in the current meta. Volcarona is fine but if you don't want to make Exca your Z-move user, you should Definately make Volc. Shatter Psyche with Psychic lets Volc to hit Toxapex that walls you and Hazes boosts while Savage Spin Out gives a great STAB nuke against Bulky mons. Starmie should have been your Rapid Spinner to help you get rid of Stealth Rocks so Volcarona can have an easier life to sweep. I would get rid of Thunderbolt since the only pokemon that hits in OU harder than your other moves is Peliper and Greninja/M-Gyarados (Gren outspeeds and kills you either way and M-Gyara eats Tbolt easily and either sets up DD or OHKOs with Crunch) I don't want to sound harsh, but that Quagsire set is bad! Like really bad! First of all the EVs are not placed correct. 170 HP wastes 2 EV points and 169 wastes 1 point (so it's 2 more points wasted for both defenses). Also mixed defenses don't work for Quag since it mostly wants max physical defense to deal with physical atackers. Also it doesn't provide anything special for the team outside of stalling your own sand turns. Having a stall mon in an offensive team like this just doesn't work. Suggestions: Personally I would replace Starmie for Defog Rotom-W. It gives you hazzard removal, a ground immunity since the whole team is grounded and a good pivot with Volt Switch. For last slot you could put Scarf Lele. Psychic Terrain can boost Volc's Psychic so you won't need Psychium-Z on it, protects Excadrill from priority moves like Mach Punch and Water Shuriken and is another fast mon to revenge kill pokemon like Ash-Greninja and M-Loppuny without needing sand to be up.

  16. So we are going to ignore that Wendel has Calm Mind on Volcarona and not Quiver Dance?
  17. I'm changing my Latias to a Hydreigon since they both share Draco Meteor/Defog Hydreigon - Draco Meteor - Dark Pulse - Fire Blast - Defog
  18. MEGA ESCAVALIER Ability: Stance Change Stats: Attack Form Defense Form HP 70 HP 70 Att 135 -> 165 Att 135 Def 105 -> 115 Def 105 -> 155 Sp.Att 60 Sp.Att 60 Sp.Def 105 -> 115 Sp.Def 105 -> 155 Speed 20 -> 70 Speed 20 New Move: King's Shield
  19. I'm gonna do 2 changes based on the new moves USUM brought
  20. The GOAT is here and I'm bringing you an early OU team for the new Ultra Sun&Moon meta! The new games are already out but I started making some teams for the new meta when the leaks were out. Everyone is hyped for the evolution of UB Adhesive known as Naganadel and for good reasons! It brings a lot of offensive power in the OU tier and forces many teams to run specific counters like AV Ttar to deal with it. So without further ado let's look at our team preview! Teambuilding process: In-depth Analysis: UB Banned Soon (Naganadel) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Beast Boost EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Sludge Wave - Draco Meteor - Fire Blast - U-turn Naganadel is such a huge threat with its Nasty Plot set that everyone is hyping it for a good reason! But since I kinda like to run some more unique sets I opted to build around scarf Naganadel. Modest Nature lets me get the SpAtt boost from its ability Beast Boost, while Choice Scarf lets it be faster than Koko, Greninja, other unboosted Naganadel and M-Alakazam. Unfortunately is not faster than Scarf Keldeo, Kartana or Latios but at least outspeeds M-Sharpedo at +1 speed. I could run a more optimal spread of EVs: 88 HP / 252 SpA / 168 Spe with a Timid Nature to outspeed the previously mentioned mons while still maintaining a higher SpAtt to get the boosts from the ability. The loss in power shouldn't be great but I'm still testing it. As for moves dual stab with fire coverage hits almost everything for Neautral in the tier except Heatran and U Turn is always nice for momentum in a scarf pokemon. Kommಠ_ಠ (Kommo-o) (M) @ Icium Z Ability: Bulletproof EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Close Combat - Earthquake - Ice Punch - Dragon Dance Kommo-o is usually called the worst pseudo legend mainly for its mediocre speed and its not so powerfull/reliable STABs. But don't worry Ultra Sun & Moon came to fix that giving to Kommo-o Close Combat through lvl up. Also move tutors expanded its somewhat shallow physical coverage with all the elemental punches and a few more moves. I don't think that all these moves + its own omniboosting Z-move will be enough to make it a great threat in th OU tier, but for now it works wonders for the things I want it to do! DD set up is great when you can force out pokemon like Tyranitar and Heatran getting you a free set up turn, but there are a lot of pokemon that can force Kommo-o out so you usually want to set up at late game. Close Combat is its strong and only STAB, since draon coverage isn't much needed when Ice Punch can hit most OU dragon types for better damage either way. Ice Punch alsio lets you hit Landorus-T and with Icium Z you can always ohko even the most defensive sets after you neutralize the Intimidate drop with a DD. Earthquake wasn't there at the begining, it was actually Poison Jab. At first I though it would be great to have somnething to smack Tapu Fini and Clefable but Toxapex is so annoying against the team so I found out EQ to be better. Max Attack and max Speed for as much damage as possible and to outspeed stuff at +1 like scarf Tapu Bulu, DD Dragonite, DD (M-)Gyarados and everything unboosted up to 150 base speed. Bulletproof over Soundproof or Overcoat since there are not many Hyper Voice users left in the OU and Spore isn't that common either outside of lead Smeargle. Bulletproof on the other hand lets Kommo-o wall M-Venusaur and set up as much as it wants unless it is a Sleep Powder variant, it can come in against choiced locked Gengar or Blacephalon in Shadow Ball and wall Stakataka in Trick Room while it can ohko it in return 0.3 kg <-SUUUURE (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 20 SpD / 60 Spe Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Hydro Pump - Will-O-Wisp - Volt Switch - Defog Rotom-W has fall from its glory in gen6 and its usage stats has dropped it in the UU tier. But USUM is giving Rotom a new toy to play with in the form of Defog. Hazzards were always been prevelant in competitive pokemon and especially in the Sun & Moon meta Spikes were eveywhere in OU. Rotom thanks to its ability is immune to all hazzards except Stealth Rock and thanks to its typing it only takes neutral damage from them. Unfortunately, Rotom-W kinda wanted to have all the previous moves it used to run so you have to drop something to add Defog. I opted to drop Pain Split cause dual STAB are great to threaten certain pokemon and Will-O-Wisp is just great to cripple switch ins. Volt Switch also form a mini Volturn core with Naganadel which can cover Rotom's grass weakness and Rotom can cover Naga's ground weakness (outside of Thousand Arrows and Mold Breaker EQ). The EV spread was taken out straight from Smogon's site (lol creative I know) that let's it live two Specs Hydro Pumps from Ash-Gren, take a LO Lati's Draco while also outspeeding most of the defensive Lando-T and being as much physically bulky as possible for stuff like M-Pinsir, M-Scizor and Garchomp. Leftovers are crusial since it doesn't have any other form of recovery without Pain Split. Buck (Heatran) (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Flash Fire EVs: 248 HP / 220 SpD / 40 Spe Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Lava Plume - Earth Power - Toxic - Stealth Rock Heatran is here to provide entry hazzards and check Naganadel, Blacephalon and Volcarona. In Volcarona's case if it is running HP Ground Kommo-o can take it on, and if it is running Z-Psychic Heatran walls it. Lava Plume is a great STAB option as it has a high chance to burn switch ins and cripple them. Earth Power is for opposing Heatrans in case they think i'm a mono attacking set since most special defensive Heatrans run Taunt. Toxic is to cripple Bulky Water pokemon not named Toxapex and Stealth Rock is Stealth Rock! Speed investement is for Adamant M-Mawile and Leftovers is for passive recovery over time. Young Strong Jaw (Aerodactyl-Mega) (M) @ Aerodactylite Ability: Tough Claws EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Earthquake - Stone Edge - Ice Fang - Fire Fang M-Aerodactyl is such an underrated pokemon in OU mainly cause its stronger moves are not boosted by its great ability and the lack of a strong reliable flying STAB really stops it from dealing with a lot of bulky pokemon. Either way, I really like to use it mainly cause it can run a lot of different coverage moves making the opponent either scout or lose a pokemon by not expecting named move. Edgequake combo is great for all around neutral coverage, Ice Fang can nail Lando-T, Garchomp and Zygarde while Fire Fang can smack Ferrothotn. Kartana and M-Scizor thinking it can set up free in front of me. I could run Aerial Ace for pokemon like M-Venu, Tangrowth, M-Lopunny, M-Medicham, Keldeo and Hawlucha but I think Earthquake is better for now to revenge kill unboosted speed Naganadel safely without missing. Alolawak (Marowak-Alola) (F) @ Thick Club Ability: Lightning Rod EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Shadow Bone - Flare Blitz - Bonemerang - Swords Dance Marowak's alola form completes the team by giving me that godly sent electric immunity thanks to Lightingrod while also being able to wall completely any move Tapu Koko can throw, as well as deal with electric types in general like Zapdos, Magnezone and M-Manectric. It also gives great offensive power against very bulky pokemon like Celesteela, Tangrowth and Clefable and be able to break through through stall by setting up Swords Dance. Thick Club is Marowak's signature item that doubles its attack stat to great levels giving it a much needed power. I decided to go Jolly over Adamant cause I wanted to outspeed M-Venu, AV Magnezone that runs some speed and utility M-Scizor that runs enough speed just for Adamant Alolawak. Shadow Bone is amazing ghost STAB, Bonemerang is for Toxapex and Tyranitar and while I'm still testing between Flare Blitz and Fire Punch the drop in power is significant but the recoil really sucks! So this is the team! What do you think about it? Anything in particualr you want to suggest for testing? Feel free to use and test it if you want! Importable:
  21. I don't even check forums daily, so having a yesterday tab open is a no lol I just remember those 2 not being there a few days ago and assumed they were the new ones
  22. Salandit is now in the wild and Salazzle is available through evolution. Stufful is now available through breeding and Bewear in the wild!
  23. The whole Grubbin line is now available in the wild. EDIT: Also Jolitc and Galvantula are now wild encounters
  24. Ok, so what about showdown custom sprites? This was original an option everyone could have with paying rupees (the old currency of the forum). Then it became an ace member perk only and now getting ace can't be acomplished anymore. Will everyone can get a custom sprite if they want? Maybe some, and who? And what about those who paid with the old currency and lost their custom sprite (or never got it cause in the last period of the said system the sprites were broken)? Same thing applies for voice on PS too
