Time for some love for Normal types! Ability No2: Early Bird -> Speed Boost Moveset: Egg Moves: Extreme Speed (Zigzagoon line, Arcanine, Pikachu line, Lucario) Stored Power (Eevee line, Munna line, Meowstic, Oranguru, Woobat line) Poor Girafarig, it has a so unique design but it's so forgettable and weak that no one uses it even in PU. So how about we give it some love! First things first, can we talk about one of its abilities being Early Bird? It's not a bird, giraffes are not even close related to birds! Yes I know it is probably named something else in Japan, but that doesn't make it any less useless. So how about we spice things up with SPEED BOOST! The ability that made Blaziken broken is now available to Girafarig. Giraffes might not be the fastest things out there but neither are chickens. Speed Boost can help Girafarig with its very mediocre speed set up for sweeps in addition with its set up moves like Nasty Plot, Calm Mind and Work Up. Or it can even try a more gimmick set by trading its mediocre offensive stats with the opponent through Power Swap while it's boosting it's speed. Ofc, Baton Pass was banned from smogon recently, but that doesn't make it less viable in formats outside of smogon. Girafarig could be an amazing passer for special attackers with CM and NP in conjuction with Speed Boost. And while we talk about stat boosts, I want to mention its newly added move, STORED POWER. We all know how broken this move can be but it's still not the most reliable out there. But Girafarig would probably be one of the best mon pulling Stored Power sets. The slowly but guaranteed Speed Boost, the plethora of boosting moves and Girafarig's Psychic typing will make Stored Power sets a nightmare to face. Ofc, it's not everything broken. Girafarig is lacking a good typing defensively, its bulk is pathetic and can be revenged kill by many priority moves outside of Shadow Sneak after it lose some health through Substitute while it tries to stall some turns for Speed Boost to stack up. And speaking of priority moves, I think Girafarig deserves some love from the pysical side too. Neither of Girafarig's offensive stats is threatening but base 80 Attack is decent enough to hit with STAB EXTREMESPEED! Since I'm going with a more faster version for Girafarig why not give it the move that push the speed to the extreme? It already gets Agility so Extremespeed is not so absurd. Hidden Ability: Hydration -> Lightning Rod Moveset: Tm: Earthquake Tutor: Liquidation Lvl Up: (37) Brine -> Icicle Crash/Spear Lapras is an all time fan favourite pokemon either due to the anime or because it was the og surfing pokemon. Lapras has found itself in the depths of PU with its only niche being a counter to water types thanks to Water Absorb and Freeze Dry. But Lapras could had so much more potential, especially with the great movepool it has. 1st of all I want to start with its movepool additions. Lapras desperately needs more physical moves! As a pokemon that is blessed with the great set up move of Dragon Dance it's so lame that Lapras' physical movepool sucks! First its physical STABS suck with the only options being Aqua Tail/Waterfall and Ice Shard/Avalance. While the water STABS are workable a better move between power and accuracy is prefered that's why I thought Liquidation would fit (especialy on Curse sets). The Ice STABS though are terrible for DD sets, since Shard is already a priority so the speed boost doesn't matter and Avalanche is so weak if you don't get hit first making the speed boost working against you. So Icicle Crash or even the less reliable Icicle Spear would be so much better for the physical set up sets of Lapras. Lastly about moveset, Earhquake is a great coverage move that is not too stretched to get since it is widespread to a lot of pokemon and Lapras should get that as a Dinosaur-like pokemon. Finally I want to talk about its abilities. While Water Absorb is a great ability that gives its niche of countering Water types its other abilities are meh. Shell Armor is not the best or the worst out there but it is quite fitting on Lapras' theme. Hydration on the other hand is so unreliable with almost no usage and even if GameFreak wanted to give it some connection with rain, they would better be giving it Drizzle to begin with. But outside of that I had a quite different approach for an ability and that was Lightning Rod. While I'm not a fan of removing weaknesses for pokemon through abilities (Sap Sipper Swampert is the most common I hear and hate) Lightning Rod could make sense on Lapras. Even though it doesn't have a developed horn it could work as an redirecting tool kinda like Seaking's horn. That would give Lapras an easier way to come in on pokemon like Lanturn and electric types in general, get a way to boosts its Sp.Att. for its special sets and also threaten said electric types with its new coverage of EQ on physical sets Sample Sets: Bulky Special Attacker Dragon Dance Sweeper Curse Set Up

It usually is better for Ash Gren cause it let's it beat Toxapex after transformation with potential flinch and it chunks Ferrothorn better than Ice Beam. Also I can see Magmatran being quite annoying, and has quite the usage at moment

So I needed something else to deal with Kyu so i chose Thick Fat Piloswine. Piloswine always broke the subs of Kyu and could slow it down on the Roost turn. After a few drops it would be faster allowing to Toxic it before it Sub'd. Ice Shard was there to revenge kill low life scarfers and Stealth Rocks were there since it was my only pokemon with hazzards Araquanid outside of soft-checking Roserade and most water types thanks to Water Absorb was also a lure for Ferroseed. It could Soak and the Toxic it making easier to deal since I was packing only 1 fire move in my team, or just Toxic any potential switch since Polaris were lacking Toxic immune pokemon. Why the sets didn't end up working: First of all, they didn't work cause I played with them bad. 1st I sacked Araquanid on Sneasel when I could easily KO it instead of setting up webs, when webs weren't even important in that game. 2nd I underestimated Araqua's usefulness in that game after I saw no Roserade since it could deal with opposing Araquanid and still act as the lure for Ferroseed. As for Piloswine, I missplayed with it hard! I literally brought it just to deal with Kyurem and the second time Kyu was brought in I kept Eelektross out allowing it to get freezed. The burn I got on Kyu was also one of the reasons the set didn't work since I couldn't Toxic it anymore, thus making it useless to the one job it had for the team. This is what I want to call good preparation but bad execution! Learning from mistakes I guess is another thing you can get from this competition

I prefer to nuzlocke games that I have never played before, mainly cause I like hte challenge that you don't know what you will face or what available resources you get. So far I tried that with Flora Sky which was a great experience and with pokemon prism (when it was in beta) which ended horribly.

Ok, I have some suggestions for the Online Play. I know some of them are not needed but it will be nice to have them. Also I dunno if all of them can be added. For Battles: Access field notes during battles. I know this sounds weird but not everyone has memorized all field effects and not having a text file with all fields up to date anymore makes searching for them frustrating. It could be exchanged as an option with the items option in battle, since items can't be used anyways. Team preview and choosing lead. This is quite simple since this is how battles are since gen5. No preview can still stay as an option but having team preview helps a lot with players not getting steamrolled just because they were unaware of opponents team (and we are not back in gen4 where the pokemon options wasn't that big). Clauses option. Have people decide if they want to battle with some of the most common clauses like sleep, OHKO moves etc. Tbh, this is not a top priority to be added but it will be nice to have (also I'm unsure if it can be added). Trainer Sprite. Make it an option in the Options menu before you login. Choose any Trainer sprite from the game to be your avatar for online battles (let me be T3RR4 for god's sake). For Trades: Summary option in Wonder Trades. Simple as it is, we should be able to see the summary of our pokemon before we wonder trade. This can solve mistakes in case you traded the wrong pokemon, assuming you had 2 of the same species in your party. It also will save a lot of time of re loging in for whenever you get a pokemon for WT and you are unsure if you want to put it back or keep it in case it has good stats/moves etc. Miscellaneous: Cancel when you are waiting. God damn this is probably one of the most annoying things in Online play right now. Whenever you are waiting for a trade or battle request if you press the cancel button you are send all the way back ingame and have to relog again! Just send us back to the Online Menu when we are logged in. It is so frustrating when there is a misunderstanding between players or whenever the request wasn't sent properly and you have already pressed to wait for battle/trade.

Ribombee is one of the most underrated pokemon in Reborn! My pal @Specific can confirm it from 1st hand by beaing even Titania with it! Other underrated pokemon is Magcargo which can single handedly sweep all mid-game leaders from Shelly to Noel with ease

I would say "always expect the worst shit so you won't be disappointed", but I won't. This mess is affecting you directly even if you try to ignore it completely. They are gaining money and fame while you get only wasted time on something that in the end it didn't matter. Even if it was the most excellent work and a groundbreaking idea, it would be buried under their incompetence and greed. BUT if during the whole year preparation, if during the presentation even under those shitty situations and if after all those ended you still feel you did the right thing DON'T STOP! DO NOT BE LIKE THEM! As much as they try they will never take away the joy you get from doing your job. As you said, is your ethics that matter not the money. I have seen good doctors, bad doctors and even a mix of both. But the one who really judges you is your work and your patients. Don't try to prove you are better than them, try to do what you love. The results will be the ones that will prove who is superior. And I'm sure you'll be as happy as your patients and colleagues one day :]
