Yeah, Gliscor wouldn't be much of a problem if we didn't have a grand total of one ice type at that point in the game (IIRC), and that's only if you chose Spheal as your starter. Should definitely be downgraded to a Gligar. Staraptor by itself should already be able to handle the two major threats to her team (Aron and Magnemite), Gliscor on top of that is really overkill.

Just started a new save file with a female Axew. Will be breeding more Axew, but I'm not really looking for anything in particular. Of course, I can't trade until I get to 4 badges first, which I probably won't get around to playing to that point in the game for a week or two. I also won't be able to guarantee what gender/IVs any resulting Axew will have. (Maybe I should be looking for certain Mystery Egg/other starters/Pokemon that had been axed long ago? I'm open to pretty much anything I guess. Anything reasonable. What I want most are either the Togepi line or Taillow line though. IIRC Taillow was available during V1 or V2. I started in V3...)
-
Neither, I posted earlier in the thread about wanting Taillow as a starter (in which you mentioned that you were considering it at one point) and wondered if that was still on the table.
-
If you axe Starly, please add Taillow as a starter. I really want a Taillow starter. One of my favorites but basically every fangame keeps putting the bird in places where far better options had already been available much earlier on.

Praise The Sun... and Moon - Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that I hope the game is based on Central and South America, particularly taking inspiration from the Mayans and the Incans. -
fangame Verdant Tales: Symphonic Horizon
Alilatias replied to Dylanrockin's topic in Fan-game Exposé
To be honest, I don't think we as observers can really suggest anything until we've had a chance to play through a small portion of the game ourselves. Despite all the media you've put up out there, and how you feel about releasing something you deem incomplete, no one has any real idea about how you, as a creator, can improve the game without really witnessing what you've already done ourselves. Take Pokemon Rejuvenation, for one. That game today is now DRASTICALLY different from what it used to be. V6 in particular was almost entirely a total retcon of the game, with almost all of the areas prior to the new events added having been completely redone. The sheer amount of improvements that game made since were massive in scale. Don't be afraid to show us something that you think is imperfect. All great ideas exist to be scrutinized, and the truly great ones survive and adapt over time. -
I must say though, I'd imagine the reason why the vast majority of players sided with Shiv is because we basically saw most of his backstory prior to making the choice, while we know next to nothing about Nova and her team (and thus there's nothing to sympathize with). In a sense, the choice was more about whether or not you liked Shiv rather than being about which character you really wanted to side with. I would imagine that the upcoming chapters may change our perception of her a bit, would they?

Latest playthrough (and likely to become my main playthrough) The Swampert is shiny. Been considering swapping out Arcanine for Chandelure, but no real need to yet. Also, Telepathy Gardevoir is pretty insane in double battles. (My starter is Gardevoir. Before anyone asks, I reverted back to V6 to get the Swampert. I've still yet to find Mudkip in V7.)

I'd like to say, are the save backups really necessary? I don't know anything about coding, but during my latest playthrough from the beginning of the game all the way to beating the Version 7 gym, I noticed that I had actually accumulated 1,845 backups (as in saved that many times). I get the impression it may be better to generate a backup when a player transitions between major zones (as in cities/routes/gyms), maybe? It's just a minor observation at best though.

And then cry as that Shadow Pokemon proceeds to kill itself. I had a funny thought: Shadow Lunatone with Perish Song.

Pokemon Location Guide (Rejuvenation) [V11 Updated]
Alilatias replied to Jan's topic in Rejuvenation
Wispy ruins was entirely redone. I can't seem to find Mudkip either, so now I'm guessing Mudkip was moved behind the Strength boulder.- 1493 replies

In my new file, I made it to the part of the Wispy Ruins that needs Rock Climb to reach, and I was able to open the 8 badge door despite only having 7 badges (defeating Angie) at the time.

Yeah, I remember there was once a Shadow Sewaddle with Will-o-Wisp. That one apparently got axed a while ago. Likely because 1) it didn't make sense for a 4x fire weakness Pokemon to have a Fire move, 2) Leavanny's a physical powerhouse, not a setup Pokemon, and 3) there was no reason to use any other Grass type that early in the game (aside from Hoppip which was -also- axed and moved to much later in the game).
-
One of the things I've come to realize while playing this game is that the Shadow Pokemon come with moves that they normally do not have. That also means that it's a fairly huge opportunity for this game to set itself even further apart by allowing the opportunity for underused Pokemon to become quite viable in the eyes of the community. So if possible/allowed, let's suggest future potential Shadow Pokemon with unique moves! Be reasonable with your suggestions. As in, don't be throwing Dragon Dance on everything. For the most part, my suggestions so far revolve around Pokemon that have certain abilities or a stat spread that do not really have the movepool to take advantage of them. - Shadow Liepard: Will-o-Wisp (meant to be used with Prankster ability - there are currently no Prankster Pokemon that learn Will-o-Wisp through leveling up besides Mega Banette, and we all know we're not going to get the TM or the Mega Stone anytime soon.) - Shadow Basculin: Head Smash (meant to be used with Rock Head ability - the only recoil move that Basculin normally learns is Double-Edge.) - Shadow Sawsbuck: Headbutt (meant to be used with Serene Grace - the only move it naturally learns that works with the ability is Energy Ball, and the Pokemon's stat spread favors physical moves.) - Shadow Tranquill: Brave Bird (despite the Pidove line having a high attack stat, they only learn ONE physical flying move through level-up, and that's Sky Attack at Lv. 65. The second strongest physical flying attack it can learn is Fly. And both Sky Attack and Fly are two-turn moves.)

{MASSIVE FRIGGING SPOILERS} Character Theories And The Prophicies
Alilatias replied to Valyrym's topic in Rejuvenation
I'm starting to think that the Team Xen and the Arceus crew aren't actually working together, or at least aren't on the same page. Just because there's a prophecy stating that there are four warriors of light and four warriors of darkness doesn't mean that the members of each group will actually be working together. So with this, I'm going to guess: - Madame X is actually a warrior of Light. She just managed to fool her subordinates into thinking she's part of the Dark prophecy, when she's playing the long game in trying to advance the Light. - Crescent may be a warrior of Darkness, trying to fool everyone into believing that Madame X is one, and manipulating everyone into making the Dark prophecy come true. But...- 56 replies

{MASSIVE FRIGGING SPOILERS} Character Theories And The Prophicies
Alilatias replied to Valyrym's topic in Rejuvenation
Not sure if you've all replayed the game, but a lot of the game prior to the 5th gym (maybe even later) is now drastically different from what it used to be. The Blackstepple Castle arc in particular was COMPLETELY overhauled, in every sense of the word.- 56 replies

I've decided to replay the game again to see everything that has changed. Oh boy, the game is a lot different from when I first began playing back in V3... I'd like to mention though, the first two gym leaders seem to have their new levels scaled a bit too low, although I'm playing normal difficulty. I remember the Venam and first Keta fight being much, much harder than they are now. I've ended up with entire teams 4 levels above theirs so far just by doing everything possible before the fight.

One must note Aron event can only be done after the Graveyard story event is completed. It's fairly easy to miss the Aron event if you take the prompt to return to the surface immediately after clearing that part of the story. (You can come back and get Aron, I'm just saying that you can't get Aron beforehand.)
-
I would also like to mention, along with agreeing with all of the above post, that you should consider implementing a teleport between the Ranger's Guild/Jinx Lab and the area before the volcano. Having to constantly backtrack through it to complete Ranger quests can wear people out.

About the first cave puzzle, about how long am I supposed to wait in there, if I'm even doing it correctly? I left the game running for about 5 minutes and came back to find that nothing had changed. Also, what's the total amount of credits that can be currently obtained? I think I only found about 43, so I'm not sure if the Ralts is even currently obtainable. EDIT: Oh, I figured out the first puzzle immediately after posting this. That earlier post about this was right. The clue is slightly misleading. One last thing, if this doesn't sound like too ridiculous a request, I have suggestions for two more alternate starters at the beginning, perhaps a Flying type (maybe Spearow or Taillow) and a Poison type (maybe one of the Nidorans or Skrelp). Taillow would make sense considering the early game natives have a few, and they also have Flaebe and that's also a starter. That and a much stronger flying type is already available towards the start, just at a super low encounter rate.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Sweet Scent actually changes the field to Electrified. Or at least the Carnivine that used it in the volcano changed it in such a fashion.
-
Rather interesting fangame. It drops you into the plot immediately and I love it. I do have a rather odd bug to report though. So I evolved my Flaebe into a Floette at Lv. 19, fighting against the rebattle trainer. When I went to fight the first gym leader afterwards, at some point during the fight, I noticed my Floette actually deleveled to 16. I don't remember if it was at the very beginning or it happened halfway through the fight (or if it happened before). Quite strange. Doesn't really matter, but it's there.
-
I haven't actually found a Moulroot yet though, which is why I went for Pikireig. Then again, it only took me one encounter to find the bug needed for it when I went out to catch all the bug types in an attempt to figure out which one was needed for the trade.

I can't say much for the gym battle, because I got a Chromalyd that happened to get Hidden Power Ghost. Accupressure usage gave him 3 defense boosts and a special attack boost, and it enabled him to sweep through half the team before I decided to stop using potions at the fourth Pokemon because it'd be too easy. ._. Pikireg wrecks her ace too, especially after some Charge setup for the special defense boost.

When you walk around with a Poisoned Pokemon, and the HP counter reaches 1 and you get the message stating that your Pokemon survived the poisoning, the game crashes afterwards. The error message that shows up references something about status related errors, possibly inability to remove the status effect.
