Yeah, I'm going with this theory. Defeating Ciel might allow us to use the Fly HM, and defeating Terra might allow us to use the Dive HM that we already have from one of the Circus games. Or Rock Climb. Considering we're supposed to be going up Ametrine Mountain, I don't expect us to be able to storm in and retake Agate City during the next chapter. There was that Meteor grunt that quickly moved off-screen during our brief trip into the city, they're obviously doing something in there. Giving us Fly would allow us to circumvent the inability to travel through Agate City and return to Reborn City for whatever reason, at least from a plot/logic standpoint.
  2. In my case, I found my rxdata in a folder completely separate from the Pokemon Reborn folder used to launch the game. For me, it was in... Desktop -> [Computer/User name] -> Saved Games -> another Pokemon Reborn folder containing all your screenshots and save file. You have to put your save file in this second folder in order to access it.
  3. All I've learned is that Leech Seed is godly. It's more effective the higher leveled your enemy is, because after tanking enemy attack with the likes of Charm, you'll recover more HP than the enemy inflicts damage. Especially against Garchomp and Arceus, I've defeated both of them without using the usual Destiny Bond/Mirror Coat strategies. The only counters against it in Reborn are grass types and the Clefable with Magic Guard, I don't think there's anything that uses Rapid Spin against you. Since the AI isn't prone to switching unless they have absolutely nothing they can hurt your Pokemon with, it's pretty much free setup time.
  4. I... I just leveled my Vivillon to 50. And taught her Hurricane, believing that all my hard work using an interesting Pokemon that I had never ever used before in any Pokemon game would finally pay off. This one didn't have Compoundeyes either, I was too impatient in trying to get one with a good nature/IVs early in the game, and I'm not at 7th Street yet. I want to curl up in a ball and cry in a corner now. *goes to headbutt trees for a Taillow*
  5. I'd like Klefki, never played Gen 6 but it seems like a really neat Pokemon. Its typing and Prankster ability probably makes it broken-ish for Reborn though. Since we're heading up a snowy mountain, I'd guess we'll probably see the Spheal line and Avalugg. Hell, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if there's an Avalugg puzzle.
  6. If you have something with a move that lowers accuracy and/or attack, spam those. Makes Cradily much more manageable as you whittle it down. I hope your Gothita still knows Tickle, or Pachirisu knows Charm. You can also replace your Pachirisu with a Plusle if you have Pokesnax and go to the alley south of the entrance of Obsidia Ward. Plusle knows Thunder Wave and I'm pretty sure it also learns Fake Tears. I think it can also learn Encore, so if Plusle happens to be out when one of her Pokemon uses Sandstorm, you can Encore it to get a couple of free turns (although it usually results in forcing Florina to switch Pokemon instead). Cradily doesn't know Nature Power or any Ground moves, so it's safe to switch in Electric types against it. Gym Leaders don't have Full Heals, so using status moves is a huge help.
  7. Sent a PM to the topic starter containing my save file. I guess he'll contact both of us soon? --- I came across this the other day. This is quite possibly the sweetest looking shiny I've ever seen. Although I don't think I'll ever actually use him, not that big of a fan of bug types outside of Vivillion. So I'd be willing to trade it to someone for anything that interests me, I guess. Maybe a Mudkip?
  8. Sounds good. This is the best Gulpin I could find in half an hour of resetting.
  9. I have the Gulpin event available now, any nature preferences? In return, I'd like a freshly bred Taillow, or at least one common candied down to like level 15-25. My favorite Pokemon, but it's available so late in the game. I don't mind what nature/IVs it has as long as it's not negative attack or speed. Preferably taught Facade through the TM, but if you don't have it, it's fine.
  10. On a totally first playthrough in chapter 12, it took me about 40 hours to reach chapter 13. This was without breeding or doing some of the events.
  11. Um, hi everyone. I just started playing Reborn about three weeks ago, and am currently up to the Crustle puzzle. The slowdown + night time color have combined to give me an actual physical headache, so I've decided to stop playing until tomorrow morning. Reading through the topic, I see those two issues will be addressed soon, which is good. This is pretty much the hardest Pokemon game I've played by far, but it's a very fair kind of difficulty. I've honestly never played any Gen 5/6 games, so many Pokemon are rather new to me. A lot of the things I've wanted to say have already been addressed earlier in the thread, but there's one issue I feel that I should comment on. The low level issue. Know that this is my first playthrough, so what I have to say about Reborn should be based on that. Things are obviously much easier on subsequent playthroughs, if one decides to restart and play through again. On one hand, I don't see that much of a problem in having Pokemon that are usually seen as endgame or high tier metagame material join late in the game at low levels, since I already realize this game is all about effort. However, I felt that from the Wasteland onwards, several factors had combined to make grinding up the new members of your team increasingly tedious. I mean that for one, there's a big difference between being given a Lv. 10 Mareep when your team is around Level 20-25, and a Lv. 10 Ralts when your team is in the 45-50 range. (Or a Lv. 3 Audino that I ran into in Route 1, is that Pokemon so good to warrant them being in the wild at such a low level when the rest of your team is level 50-60? It's not a Pokemon that evolves either, does it?) Also, I noticed a sharp decrease in the amount of trainers to fight in general after that point. That means less EXP to go around, I had to begin fighting tons of wild Pokemon for the EXP to keep up. It's a rather jarring and very sudden shift in design. That coupled with the certain new Pokemon joining at very low levels is rather off-putting. To understand where I'm coming from, let me describe my entire playthrough thus far. In general, I've never hit the level caps, and never used Common Candy for anything other than de-leveling Pokemon for the purpose of learning moves. Although my whole team was usually within 4-7 levels of the cap when fighting the gym leaders, and that's after fighting everything I could and doing a bit of grinding off of wild Pokemon. 12. Just started playing three days ago. Found a Shiny Stone at Azurine Island, down a long swampy path in a river between two cliffs. You'll have to fight a Foongus on the way there, it blocks the path. Pretty sure it's the earliest available Shiny Stone, available after defeating Kiki. Also found a Thunderstone, you have to find a path around the upper right side of the island that takes you left to a tiny island, the island is visible near the starting area. A Foongus is guarding it. For future reference, where do screenshots get saved if you use F8? I couldn't find mine, so I had to resort to using ctrl+print screen and Paint.
