  1. Five bucks says the moment Flygon gets EQ by leveling up, Ame moves Trapinch out of game corner to late game. You know it's going to happen. (I'm more interested in seeing how GlitchxCity's going to remix the two entirely new battle themes...)
  2. El was really familiar with Radomous. I sometimes wonder if Radomous was actually a Team Meteor member, but defected at one point. Or Gossip Gardevoir. It's highly suspicious that Luna and Gardevoir are apparently great friends, but the two of them just up and left Serra out of nowhere and decided to crash with Radomous. The topic of how Gardevoir and Radomous even became familiar with each other in the first place has never been brought up yet, while Radomous claims that Luna just showed up at the Castle one day (when Gardevoir should have been with her). I don't even know what the 'lead' they were talking about after rescuing Luna at 7th street was even referring to. But we haven't seen either of them since.
  3. There are Duckletts in Iolia Valley too that are at a high enough level to already know Brave Bird, but that's very late game.
  4. It's most likely going to be very related to Adrienn, since his gym is nearby and Coral Ward hasn't really been involved in any major plot points yet.
  5. For those of you who don't have the Rain Dance TM and see no other way to beat Charolette, go back to Ametrine Mountain and start surfing. The Lumineon learn Rain Dance naturally, although you will need a Heart Scale to teach it back at the Circus as it's an early level up move. Of course, I have no idea if the Lumineon can actually survive their first turn...
  6. If it was Pulse Chatot, the sleeping signal would probably involve singing rather than radio waves. I'm placing my bets on Hypno or Musharna.
  7. To be honest, the way I feel about grinding in Reborn is that it basically punishes people for using more than 5-6 Pokemon. I had no problems with grinding on my Episode 12 save file because I already spent weeks preparing a team of 9 Pokemon through daily battles at the Grand Hall, everyone was around Level 66 when I started Episode 13. On my completely fresh playthrough over the past week and a half, my whole team of 7 Pokemon was in the 60-63 range by the time I reached Charolette, very grossly underleveled. Had I not decided to train that extra Pokemon, the team would probably be in the 65+ range. Since I had already updated to 13.2, going back to the Grand Hall was not an option. I see this leading to ever increasing pacing problems as more episodes are released, it may be compensating too much for people who started from earlier chapters.
  8. I see it now, a poison field that either gives Earthquake dual ground/poison typing or halves Earthquake's damage. Mamoswine was good in my current playthrough, but I find him a liability in double battles. Then again I have a tough time justifying use of any flying type in this game. Feels like there's a ton of rock and electric types in the second half of Reborn so far. Guess that's what Air Balloons are for, I guess.
  9. Hmm, seems fun. I had an idea for a cloud-themed Pokemon line, starting with a basic Pokemon that can evolve into one of three others based on weather and geography. Really bad with names though, so I'm not going to try naming them. I'm not sure what they should look like either. I couldn't really decide whether I wanted them to be a primarily Flying, Water, or Fairy line. I figured we had enough Flying and Water types though. I also haven't come up with a TM/HM list for these Pokemon yet... Pokemon #1: Based on a basic Cumulus cloud. - Type: Fairy - Abilities: Aerilate, Cloud Nine, or Pixilate Pokemon #2: Based on a Cirrus cloud, the wispy ones high in the atmosphere. - Evolution method: Level 27 or above in Hail. - Type: Fairy/Ice - Abilities: Snow Cloak, Snow Warning, or Levitate Pokemon #3: Based on a Cumulonimbus cloud. - Evolution method: Level 27 or above in Rain. - Type: Fairy/Electric - Abilities: Storm Drain, Drizzle, or Lightningrod Pokemon #4: Based on low lying Stratus clouds. - Evolution method: Level 27 or above while surfing in clear weather. - Type: Fairy/Flying - Abilities: Aerilate, Cloud Nine, or Pixilate
  10. I remember finding Phanpy and Donphans as wild encounters in Route 2.
  11. Hmm, anyone else find it curious how the Ferris Wheel is closed? Anyone want to bet we're going to be using it as part of the plan to retake Agate City? I can just imagine Terra going up there to distract the Meteor grunts while we sneak in.
  12. Mine would probably be Swellow or Klefki. If I could actually get the latter. For now though, I'd say Azumarill. She just wrecks everything.
  13. Oh darn, thought this was the search bar for a moment.

    1. Ojama Yellow

      Ojama Yellow

Everyone did at some moment. Ame installed it there for a reason.

    2. Ringabel

      Ringabel

To be honest... I don't see how anyone could goof that up when you think about the fact that the search bar has "search" in it.

It can happen easily if you multitasking and going at a fast pace. That's how I screwed up.

  14. Would like to add Vulpix with Flame Burst against Shelly, if you have a strategy set up to obtain Vulpix as early as possible. (My personal strategy that works most of the time is to get a Plusle with Lightningrod, level her twice to learn Encore, teach her Charge Beam. Thunder Wave first turn, hope the KingKlang uses either Discharge or Charge Beam, and encore it. Congratulations, you got a Level 45 KingKlang helping a Level 17 Plusle demolish it. Nets you Vulpix before the 2nd gym.) Vulpix's Flame Burst turns Shelly's forest into a burning field that automatically KOs almost all of her Pokemon in 2-4 turns. Get another Pokemon with Nature Power to start spamming Flamethrower as well. Ironically I found her even easier to beat with the forest field compared to before. (As an aside, I find Nature Power to be an insanely fun move to use now, thanks to all these new fields. Nature Power Discharge or Ampharos with Plus using Discharge in double battles at the factories is hilarious.)

    The Cameras

...Well, Sirius does outright say during your first encounter with him at the factory in the beginning of the game that he already knew of your character's identity, even though he or she had just arrived. I think that's some pretty serious foreshadowing right there, about how much Meteor has infiltrated Reborn. Or if Meteor is actually a product of some high-ranking members of Reborn society...
  16. When escaping from Vahannen Castle, Cain outright says to El that he thinks he's an E4 member, and El doesn't deny it at all. But if he's -just- an E4 member, I don't think he can pull the strings together to get Bennett to seemingly replace Laura so quickly, at least not alone. Would hint that he's either Champion himself, or the Champion is someone also associated with Team Meteor. Kiki was already dying, that could have been an act of mercy. There was really nothing stopping his Garchomp from taking out Blake too. I'm replaying through the game now and I'm noticing some dialogue changes. Nothing that immediately sticks out to me as changing the plot much (although the Pulse Muk conversation was pretty much completely overhauled, he addresses Amaria in a more... Proper, maybe familiar way i guess? Nothing about knocking girls off pedestals anymore). But I've been thinking about Hilda's theory, and now I feel as if Solaris might be a champion contender too. I do find it weird how he completely disappears after the events at the volcano though.
  17. I think Anna has the highest chance. Remember there's still the question of who Anna and Noel's parents were in the first place, and Anna is visibly upset when she has the Amethyst Pendant taken from her with Sirius hinting that he knew who her parents were. She might be the daughter of a deceased Reborn champion. Actually, all of the previous holders of the keys seem to be related in some way (Heather's mother with the Ruby Ring, Anna's parents with the Amethyst Pendant, and it's strongly hinted that the Sapphire Bracelet was in the possession of Charolette/Saphira/Laura's parents before the fire that orphaned them, and most likely Lin has the Emerald Brooch), but we have no idea how because most if not all of them are deceased, leaving their children to wonder...
  18. Found another early game Ability Capsule. Grand Staircase, leftmost path.
  19. Actually not possibly fixed in 13.1 according to Ame, assuming I understood what she was talking about. If you're reading this Ame... Maybe to prevent this from happening at all, either have Titania hold the Surf HM and throw it to the player right as she's about to jump after Amaria, or have the waterfall cutscene trigger at a point where it's impossible for the player to run off and surf to Calcenon without seeing it.
  20. Crackpot idea: Right as Shade is about to drop a major plot bomb on the player (possibly detailing what Shade actually IS in the first place), Fern comes in as his usual grasshole self just because. Shade gets annoyed and teleports himself and the player away, leaving behind a ton of spirits that happen to look like the player in order to distract Fern, possibly drive him insane, and to show him how insignificant he really is to the ongoing conflict between Meteor and the player's allies.
  21. Anyone noticed a pattern with the new megas? The majority of them seem to be for the ace Pokemon that several gym leaders/E4/story bosses use in the game. If GameFreak is designing them in order for said bosses to use them against you (which would be a welcome boost in difficulty), we can pretty much safely predict some other megas as well. - Winona: Altaria - May/Brendan: Rival starter mega - Tate and Liza: (unconfirmed) Lunatone and Solrock - Archie: Sharpedo - Maxie: Camerupt - Wallace: (unconfirmed) Milotic - Wally: Gallade (was Gardevoir, but the champion of X/Y already used that) - Sidney: Absol (from X/Y) - Phoebe: Sableye - Glacia: (unconfirmed) Walerin - Drake: Salamence - Steven: Metagross There's also the two remake-exclusive characters, which may allude to one other mega... - Aarune: (unconfirmed) Flygon - Lisia: Altaria If Lisia uses Mega Altaria, that means Winona either won't use a mega or she gets a different one. Swellow was considered Winona's ace in the anime, and it's the only 'bird starter' with 2 evos instead of 3 (if you don't count Fearow). Though it probably makes more sense to use Skarmory instead. Winona not using a mega means we can probably pinpoint the exact point in the game where the player learns about mega evolution, most likely through their rival battle at Lilycove City. This doesn't explain Mega Slowbro, Lopunny, and Audino though. Those three are probably for post-game things.
  22. Yeah, I don't think we're fighting Ciel anytime soon. Only Terra left the circus. Ciel and Samson are still there, likely to keep an eye on Agate City itself to make sure something doesn't come out and ambush everyone. Remember, we did catch a glimpse of a Meteor grunt upon entering Agate City, though he moves offscreen before our characters can spot him. Team Meteor's usual mode of operations is to force everyone to leave and kill any who resist, but in the case of Agate City, nobody can. Something is happening in there.

Fern: Did you really think I joined them out of support? Unlike you, I have -standards-. While you and your friends are running in circles like headless chickens, I actually got things done. Yeah, could totally see that.
  24. Restarting the game has its benefits. Like finding a new egg in an area where it's gone forever if you don't find it. This and that ability capsule placement is evil, Ame. I guess this is a Ducklett egg...
