  1. Caz said around two months ago that he was suddenly dealing with major IRL issues, so development is now on limbo indefinitely until everything's sorted out.
  2. Move Relearner is available but you need to clear a sidequest to gain access to him first. There is a hidden Shiny Stone available just before reaching Blackview City. That should be enough of a hint as to where its location is. Togepi/Azurill/Cleffa/Igglybuff are from the same event, you can only choose one. The event is also deliberately hard - you'd need to prepare a team capable of taking down four fully evolved Lv. 70 fairies. As such, most people probably won't stand any chance at all before clearing the current story. Dawn Stone is not yet available, but should be in the next release.
  3. There's still a small part of the caves that's accessible after clearing that part of the story. You just need to use the alternate entrance that leads to the main boss fight, not the main entrance to the village. You still get a small space to roam around in to look for Bidoof. Also for the book, you need to clear all of the Ranger sidequests in Route 2 before you're allowed access into the area that has it.
  4. Bidoof can be found in the Keneph Caves.
  5. I think this time around, I'd like to try my hand at an Eevee-themed run. There are only two specific Eeveelutions I want to request: - Glaceon - Leafeon And that's only because those two cannot be obtained until MUCH later in the game. I'd like to start out with a full team of Eeveelutions, but the other four can be determined via RNG. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8jg780x8vsws5fc/Game.rxdata?dl=0
  6. I'd like to say, for those that have Eevee jackpot starters... I recently learned that Jan had changed Eevee so that it could evolve early into Umbreon and Espeon regardless of happiness at Lv. 12. If that's going to be a thing though, then perhaps there should be a similar measure for Leafeon and Glaceon since they're not even that much stronger than all the others. Put a second Moss Rock and an Ice Rock somewhere in, say, the 3rd gym. (Very, very few fangames ever let you have an early game Glaceon, usually shoving it until very late game for reasons that appear to be more about region design than anything else. And that kind of makes me sad. I would definitely do an Eevee run if I could get an early Glaceon out of it, as that's my favorite one.)
  7. Anyone figure out if there's something especially special about the Green Shard event on Terajuma Island? So far after soft-resetting a few times, I've only been able to get the following: - Revive - HP Up - PP Up - Rare Candy There has to be something else to it...
  8. Need help with this file. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8jg780x8vsws5fc/Game.rxdata?dl=0 The last time I played on this file was back in March, so I don't remember exactly where I saved. It was most likely on the shores of Terajuma Island (prior to fighting the Water gym leader), which would have been overhauled with Version 8. I have a new computer now as well, so I no longer have the older versions available to jump back to correct this myself. Many thanks to whoever puts me back on the right path.
  9. I get the impression this sidequest isn't meant to be completed yet because there's still a section of Darchlight Woods that is inaccessible (the northern part shrouded by mist).
  10. Apparently I cannot count to save my life. D: Also wow, this episode is pretty short. I really should start another playthrough now, I suppose. Although if only Terajuma has been overhauled, then I should resume where I left off on my Axew run even though I have a pretty terrible team in that run.
  11. It appears so. I kept the secret and fought Flora instead. Her team IIRC was...
  12. A couple observations on the first gym leader of this episode.
  13. I have a feeling someone brought this up already, but Litten being Fire/Fighting is simply not going to happen because assuming Rowlet keeps its Grass/Flying typing, Litten being part Fighting would break the starter typing triangle by making Litten weak against Rowlet. Dark, however, would not. And a wrestler being part Dark type would still make some sense, Foul Play anyone? I suppose Gen 4 did already break it somewhat by making the Grass starter gain a Ground typing, although it was made up by the fact that the Water starter gained a Steel typing that the Fire/Fighting starter could take advantage of.
  14. Delta Spinarak/Ariados (Dark/Electric) Description: A species of Spinarak that has adapted to life in dark caves, where the prey they hunt are usually bound to the land rather than flying through the air, and tend to be stronger and difficult to catch. As such, their webbing has evolved to generate an electric current to paralyze those caught in their traps. They can even create special webs that glow in the dark, sometimes even resembling Pokemon that are preyed upon by other inhabitants of the caves. Compared to their regular counterparts, these Delta Spinarak sport a yellow, blue, and black motif, with their antenna upon evolving into Ariados being shaped into lightning bolts. Reason for creation: Come on, does anyone ever think of a line that is largely forgettable? Abilities: Adaptability, Lightningrod, Prankster Level-up moveset (this is assuming Ariados) [-] Thundershock [-] Pursuit [-] Flash [8] Thunder Wave [12] Electroweb [16] Feint Attack [19] Sticky Web [21] Fell Stinger [23] Thunder Fang [26] Confuse Ray [30] Nasty Plot [33] Discharge [35] Electric Terrain [41] Crunch [44] Agility [47] Wild Charge [51] Dark Pulse [55] Volt Switch [60] Sucker Punch TMs/Tutor Moves: Haven't thought much here yet. Main ones would be the addition of Electric-based TMs and Shadow Claw + Shadow Ball while losing the poison-based moves. Overall designed to be either a physical or special attacker depending on moveset. Special attackers get a boost though Nasty Plot and can get a boost by switching into Electric attacks (if Lightningrod ability), while physical attackers have to rely on Fell Stinger or Hone Claws (through TM) for any stat boosts. However, physical attackers do get access to Sucker Punch, which (kind of) ignores their low speed disadvantage. Adaptability has obvious raw power advantages, while Prankster lends itself to disabling setups. One must note that this typing has many, many major weaknesses. Care should be exercised.
  15. On the topic of Roselia, there's also something I noticed with Petal Blizzard. In Desolation, it's actually classified as a special move, not physical. Intentional or not? Because Roselia/Roserade MURDERS double battles with it. Pair it with a Pokemon that knows Sap Sipper and oh lord. (Or get a Telepathy Ralts...) (I would assume intentional because all the Pokemon that learn it have higher special attack than physical...)
  16. Alright, tried deleting the fonts. Didn't work. The default font isn't the same as what I used to have. I'm so puzzled as to how I ended up with that previous font across all fangames on my former computer in the first place... If it matters, the first fangame I ever had was Zeta, but I did play some non-Pokemon RPGMaker games beforehand. Maybe it's possible I got the font style off of those. The rest of the fonts just seem far too compressed for my liking. Especially at the battle screen... I guess I'll just settle with the default for now.
  17. I thought that when I looked through multiple fangames' available fonts and couldn't find anything. But I did install all the fonts possible on my previous computer so that I wouldn't get screamed at to keep installing them all upon startup. Exactly how do I uninstall fonts?
  18. Yeah, probably one of the odder topics here, but I've no idea which section to stick this thread in that would yield any help. I recently got a new computer, but no external hard drive to back everything up, so all I could do was shove my save files into dropbox and reinstall everything on my own. But during the transition, I noticed I lost something I have no idea how to get back. Note the fonts used in the below screenshots (taken from multiple fangames). I had that font across all Essentials fangames, and it was a very simple and clean font. I've no idea how to get my old font back, and none of the others are to my liking. It's very likely I got that font from another fangame, but I don't remember which one.
  19. Quite enjoying this game so far. The start is refreshingly different and quite well-done. So far I've beaten the first gym, and it appears there's quite a high level of attention being put into this game. Assuming you can get messages to the creator, I have a few general comments about Pokemon availability. - There's far too many grass/bug types available for capture in the Academy portion of the game. This makes Larvesta the popular starter choice to counter them all, especially when you get the Struggle Bug TM so early and there's also a lack of other Fire (and Flying, for that matter) types in the early game (besides Pansear through trades involving Pokemon with very low encounter rates). - I wouldn't touch the wild Pokemon encounter rates, but I would change some of the Pokemon that are purchased at the Academy. (Cottonee -> Snorunt or Vanillite, Yanma -> Aron or Sandile? I notice there's actually a complete lack of ice types...) - Additionally, everyone is probably going to end up with a Mareep as their electric type due to early availability and evolving into a powerhouse that can potentially last the whole game. Considering the first gym leader places an emphasis on Magnemite, there should probably be a Magnemite event somewhere around that phase of the game.
  20. Pretty much this. A predefined character comes with its own risks and rewards, but it pays off tremendously if the writing is amazing. Which Legends of the Arena has despite its very simplistic plot. Presentation is everything, as always.
  21. Yikes, that sounds scary. All the best to you.
  22. Wow, that Darkrai Perfection art is something I'd say is the closest to actually passing as an official thing out of all the fan made stuff out there.
  23. I actually have a feeling that we'll have the option to go for a neutral ending later on. It'll probably be by far the most difficult ending to get.
  24. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you yet, but regarding the new intro, the dialogue with Connor and the Ava/Scarlett cutscene immediately after washing up on the beach assumes it's still the old intro (Connor asking about what happened to the character, where he makes a reference to the old intro having the captain be a member of Team Crescent that hurls you overboard, plus Ava saying she made a promise to the player to go find them later when she doesn't do so in the new intro).
