okay, I'm really glad I made that deal for me to watch SU and my GF to watch RWBY. I really enjoy SU so far and, while there are episodes I could miss, I have enjoyed each and every one so far.

TTGCartoon network really let SU down in terms of scheduling and preventing leaks. The Steven Bombs have always been great, but they also don't seem good for sustained interest or hype. Sure they are effective for short bursts of hype, but the hiatuses have always been killers. Now that it's at a good point, I might as well try to binge the rest of it, since I don't want any more spoilers that I already have
-
So, I actually played with all YGO Summoning Mechanics, exept for Pendies. just never found a pendulum deck that seemed fun to me. Anyone got suggestions (that can still work in a casual setting)

So here's a little rant that starts with a question~
Did the rivals in Pokémon become worse and worse per generation after gen 2? many people believe Silver and Blue to be the pinacle of what rivals should be. However, I disagree! From what I notice about those oppinions it's that those two are liked because their dicks to the player. However, That's literally all Blue has. Silver has a reason for it, but I wouldn't say it justifies it.
Ever since Gen 3 the rivals have had their own goals during their journey:
May/Brendan wants to have a fun adventure and help his/her dad with the Pokédex.
Barry wants to topple his father and proof that he can stand equal to him, but he's not to arogant to constantly be a dick to you. He will help you and ask you for help when needed.
Cheren and Bianca both have their own truths and ideals. Bianca wants to proof t both her father and herself that she can be a good Pokémon trainer while Cheren wants to become the strongest trainer of Unova and find out how that will help him.
Hugh wants revenge against Team Plasma and to reunite the Purloin that his late grandpa gave to his sister with his sister. Somehow he's seen as one of the worst because he "claims the story", yet you literally embark because he asked you to help him with this.
Selena/Calem is similar to Barry and May/Brendan, in that she/he wants to have an adventure with her friends and have a friendly competition.
Shauna, again, wants to have a fun adventure and make memories. Tierno wants to find Pokémon he can dance and have fun with.
Trevor wants to complete the Pokédex and potentially get over his shyness.
Hau wants to proof to himself, Hala and all of Mele Mele Island that he can be equal to and even better than Hala in a Pokémon battle.
Gladion wants to help Null see that not everyone in the world is as bad as Lusamin and protect his sister.
Now, compare those goals to Blue's:
Just pusing it in your face that he's better than you.
And then Silver, who hates weakness because he sees his father as a weakling and wants nothing to do with his father.
I won't say Silver is not a good rival here, but from what I notice people saying about the rivals in Pokémon, they always focus on "are they a dick to us? if not it's instantly worse that Blue and Silver." I've rarely seen or heard anyone talk about the goals the characters have, unless it's Silver and his father.
I would, personally, say that Blue is by far the worst rival. He's just a cocky show off that has about as much character development as Yugioh GX has characters that didn't have their development shoehorned in in season 4. He's just a cocky dick when you start and a cocky dick at the end. Literally no change. Silver at least learns the error in his ways, but Blue? he didn't learn a fucking thing.
Disclaimer: All the things I said about their goals is how I felt playing the games, I never looked any of it up.

I'd say just from personal experience, that a good rival is one you enjoy competing with.
Blue is... ok, because while he's a just a dick with very little progression within the game, this smug attitude makes him fun to beat down a notch.
Silver is a bit of a wildcard by the normal standards, but comes out alright because you feel like you're actively helping him become a better person.
May's not the best as a rival because she's so friendly to you, and the obvious power gap means you kinda just feel bad for beating her, but she's good as a friend character
I really like Barry as a rival, because he feels like just that, a mate who you enjoy butting heads and competing with to see who comes out on top, but when things get serious, he's got your back.
Bianca feels very similar to May
N is decent if you count him because you've got that clash of ideals, but you tend to get annoyed with him because he's so misguided (thanks ghetsis)
Cheren, Hugh and Serena all feel a bit like silver, but more annoying, because instead of someone who was basically raised to be bad, they're just sort of moody, broody friends who get kind of depressed when they lose/ arent strong enough.
Hau feels a bit like a less competitive Barry, but I haven't played SuMo, just watched.

Would you rather: wrestle a machamp WWE style, or get into a Sumo ring with a Hariyama?
-
Looking at all Yu-Gi-Oh! protagonist sofar, I'm gonna have to say that Jaden is my second least favorite, only getting beaten by Yuma in that case (what a suprise!). My reason is quite simple: he's too happy go lucky and childish in the majority of the series, only really becoming more serious around end season 3 during the Supreme King arc. Season 4 Jaden was cool, I won't lie. but when it takes you so many seasons to get a serious attitude, you did something wrong in my book. Also I really dislike E-hero decks most of the time, so yeah :/

you know that Hyper Librarian isn't the synchro tuner in T.G.? it's Wonder Witch (or something... it is another level 5 spellcaster tho). and I would love to, but not many places to buy cards around me. ofcourse I would also place a Majestic Star dragon in there just in case I need to get something powerful out for just one turn
-
Go for style my dude, that's what synchro decks are all about u-u
And yeah I know but T.G. Hyper librarian is your draw engine, every time you synchro, you draw a card, he's also a level 5 so you can use him, another level 5 and formula synchron to summon shooting quasar dragon, that's the main jam, also obviously the more you draw the better chance you have of going into some crazy shennanigans :3

So. I thought it might be time to explain a certain opinion of mine. Mainly, the big reason why Water types are my least favorite.
We'll start it off easy: playstyle. Most water types commonly used and found rely on their bulk and stalling. Now who knows what playstyle I absolutely hate in any game? Exactly! Stalling. So that's a red flag infront of a bull (funny, cuz my zodiac is taurus). Secondly, design and origin. We get it, there are a fuckton of fish on earth. That doesn't mean we need a pokémon for each god damn species of fucking fish. And I'm not just talking about the obvious ones like goldeen, seaking and such. oh no, all fish based ones are offenders here. Each gen adds at least 2 or 3 many fish to the Pokémon world, and they have done so for every generation. but it took them 20 fucking years to think "hey, maybe a Wolf would be cool?" (I'm not counting Zoroark as a wolf btw, but even then it took them 5 gen to create a wolf based line while fish just overpopulate). Yes, that is salt talking but I hope you get my point. The worst offender of all is Seal. I don't even need to explain this one I hope.
And now to debunk something, there are Water types I really like. Azu, primarina, Gyarados, Milotic, empoleon and some more. but when there are just so many that are just so easy to hate (almost all of the fish based ones for example) it\s just greatly off balance.

Ye, maybe... don't after l say something similar, but quite different in principle. Tends to not be a good time for that unless one is rather clear that's just a tangent or directed at the types that do. Just to keep things clear and not get your message tangled.
((Also, when you hear "x should be excused cause of it was the first of something" it's typically nostalgia goggles or just not a well thought out position. Not always, but quite often.))

Skyrim character backstory/background: Lusus
SpoilerYou wish to know about me? What for? Are you genuinly interested? Or do you wish to know with what kind of freak you're dealing? Regardless. My name is Lusus. Lusus Naturae to be specific. It means Freak Of Nature. accurate for me person like me. Allow me to explain. Most people are born into this world, I was summoned. See, some necromancer had found a way to bind a Daedra to a human body. He wished to use this to create an army to take over the empire. With pride I can say that I managed to stop that plan, and that while only an infant. What he did was take a dead child and a deadra heart, offer them in a fusion type ritual and manage to catch a Dremora soul from Oblivion to give it power. This went wrong, however. He instead managed to create new life, but no Dremora soldier. a man with the heart of a Daedra... You can guess what this has to do with me, right? That lifeless child turned into me. Right after the ritual he was killed. This was my luck, as he was going to kill me to try the ritual again. The person who killed him was an Orcish adventurer. He took me to his home, where he and his wife, a strong Nord warrior, accepted and raised me as their own. They asked me how I got there, and I explained what had happened. Their daughter had overheard and called me "Freaky, but in a good way". This lead to me calling myself Lusus Naturae, with Lusus serving as my first name. I lived a good life there. Mother and Father are easily some of the best people in Tamriel. But not all was well. Word of a War in Skyrim reached our home by a couple of Soldiers calling themselves "Stormcloaks" came to ask for my mothers aid in the war. My mother refused, as she had no interest in being seperated from her family just to condem Skyrim. And there was the fact that she was pregnant, as well. The soldiers didn't take that news lightly, telling Mother she was not a true daughter of Skyrim. But when they saw Father and me... all hell broke loose. They weren't exactly fond of Orc's, so you can fill in the blanks there, I think. The soldier began flinging insults at Mother and Father, which eventually led to Father literally tossing them out. This didn't sit well with them and they attacked out house. Mother, Father and me were able to hold them off long enough for guards to take them away. all of us were unharmed, untill one of the soldiers kicked Mother in the stomach. The unborn child payed the ultimate price for their rude behavior... Mother was burning with anger, almost literally. The guards took them away, where they were sentanced to death for robbing a woman of anunborn child. Mother had requested to serve as Headsman for the execution, which she was allowed. But this put a traget on our backs. Later at diner I talked about going to Skyrim to help the Empire fight off the Stormcloaks. Not only for the Empire, but to avenge my unborn brother/sister. At first mother and father were worried about me, but my Sister said that there was nothing to worry about. They saw me off to a cariage that would take me right to Solitude, the Capital of Skyrim. Little did I know the carriage was illegally transporting me. This led to a rough first run-in with the Empire. But I'm no less determined to help the Imperial Legion and free Skyrim of this war. But the true reason I'm fighting is so that Mother, Father and Sister don't have to. In other words, I fight for those who took in the freak with a Daedric heart.

And fantasic work writing what you have!

someone please explain how I managed to surpass ICSW in rep. it's only by one point so it could change any minute, but still...

*need to be creative to get Rep... runs both the sub-forums literally all about creativity (and got one of them created by sheer force of will) and has next to none.*
Joking aside XD, ye it's certainly a factor but it's but one of them. There's a ot of facotrs that go into why somebody gains rep etc... cause it's a system that works that way. Rep points have no inherant meaning so people can give them out for a WlDE variety of reasonings. lt's hard to pinpoint exactly why one person would gain more than another etc... cause lt's take lot of analysis of not just one person and there's a huge uncountable number of factors at play. -
I think that in order to gain rep you must offer something to the community. Now it might be advice to young community members, help with corrupted files, trading away bred 'mons to people who ask, do a custom run to entertain the community members, or just be a positive person and exchange opinions around. Or be funny.
Whichever each person does depends on the personality of the person. I'd never be able to spend hours on my PC to fulfill the most absurd trade requests that people might have, the way @Zarc does. And I'm useless with RPGmaker and savefile editing, so I can't help with corrupt save files the way @walpurgis does. I like doing the other things though.
All in all, I think that people only gain reputation by offering some kind of service. From entertainment to a simple chat. If you're an asshole, then nobody will give you points.

reached Area 6 of Metroid Fusion. I don;t really think I'll like this area as much as the others because, untill I get the Varia Suit, the Blue X pretty much kills me without even trying. and I'm gonna have to give up exploring untill I get the Varia Suit... yet I need to find the right way there...
-
alright, so here's the scoop: I've almost reached my breaking point. lately I've just been thinking too much, about how even my best wasn't enough, and how I always end up the one alone. And I came to a few conculsions: 1) I'm a stepping stone for the "hero" of the love stories I happen to wander into. Just an obstacle that will never win, no matter what. 2) I should just abandon hope, because every damn time I'm hopeful for something, it will just get pissed on. Honestly, I'm just sick of it all. When can I get a happy ending? When can I be the Knight on the White horse? When will me opening my heart to someone not end with a stake through it?
And here's my favorite part: I can only laugh about it all. I want to cry my eyes out, I want to just lie in my bed the next 24 hours and sob like a newborn, but I just can't
I doubt anyone here is actually gonna read all that, or much less care. but yeah

@Candy Makes you wonder which one wrote it, eh? /shot
I do wanna add a disclaimer in hindsight tho that I was purely talking about the standard "I don't think this will work" cases, and was not covering shit like cheating & abuse. Nobody has to accept being treated like that and that stuff's not something anyone should feel a need to get used to.
Those people are absolutely excluded from my "this is how dating works" statement.

Read the status what you made and then tell me again you're not trying to stir some pot. I do respect women who are afraid to come out but still do. It is unfortunate that some people abuse that for their own gain like you are doing here. If you want to stand up and support a woman coming out, fine, but don't connect it to Nappy and put him under fire. It's just disrespectful and makes people misinterpret what's really going on.
You could've just said "hey, there's a woman coming out against three people sexually assaulting her which she made a video. One of the people is Nappy's friend, Josh."
Congratulations, you made it in a way that people won't want to watch Nappy or the Pentop for being linked to CP. He might not have even known about this. I don't mind people making pot stirs but please don't ever use a victim of CP for it. That's disgusting and disrespectful. I'm not gonna ask that you delete the status due to not breaking any rules but think about the victim for a moment. Do you think she'd want you to do this?
-
first, I never said I wanted to stir the pot. I noticed stuff on Twitter with Nexus, Sacred, Mo, and Shady making responses to it (especially Sacred) and wanted to share that here to potentially have a conversation or inform people of the things that happened. the reason I mentioned nappy is because that's kinda his social circle and Nathan (not Josh) is part of that, or I guess was.
while I will say I could, and should, have worded it much, much better. though me and wording things correctly never got along. so before making an assumption of someone trying to do something, please remember that not everyone is not as good with wording their thoughts as others might be, doing that might get you a few less unwanted discussions about nothing but an assumption in the future. So, after reading it again: I am not trying to stir the pot, I simply worded it like a massive idiot"

I'm just going to say let's hold the Vic Mignognia situation to the side as there's a number of really sketchy things going on as many of the people on that side have some claims of sexual assault even with quite a bit of credibility to them. Normally it should be believable but it's really hard to trust the mouthpieces on this. We definitely can assume he did bad/questionable stuff but sexually assault is in the air.
literally someone who was my best friend years ago told me about the creepy shit that he was doing to her when she was a minor. this is not about the mouthpieces. this is one step short of very personal for me-- not to mention the subject matter as a whole.
i think it's very ironic that you say you respect the women who are afraid to come out and yet so much of what you said here just encapsulates the reasons they're afraid to do so.
i am not going to continue this discussion, and frankly, i think it's best if we drop it here. to avoid further conflict, i'll be locking this.
-
And even more GoT spoilers! Honestly is it so fucki g hard to, you know, not talk about this shit until the season is fucking done?

Late night question:
So if Jotaro and Diavolo were to face off amd activate their abilities nearly at the same time (Jotaro bring slightly faster), would the Ora barrage Diavolo takes in stopped time hit him once time resumes, or could he narrowly avoid it because of KC?

Someone once tried telling me that Steven was a better champion than Cynthia. Their reasoning: "Steven has a Mega Metagross, but I've never seen Cynthia with a Mega!"
So they were trying to sell me that in gen Mega Timeline, Cy thia would not be able to use Mega Garchomp if she wanted to because in gen 6 she didn't have one... flawed logic if you ask me

Can I just say that the Director of Yugioh Vrains deserves a medal? So far he's been directing the series after the first recap episode and two more followed, for each of those two episodes he has apologized, leading me to believe that he knows people don't want to see them and he feels bad for putting them out.

does anyone have any tips for EV training special attack and speed?
- Show previous comments 7 more

What luis said! That is the faster way to EV train special attackers! Unless you want to EV train special attack without speed at the same time (for example a Reuniclus) then you must find another spot for your secondary stat and slap that power lens (for example for HP + sp att I EV tarin in the WTC)

I wanna appologise to everyone who keeps telling me the exact same things when I have another of my depressed moments. I should work on getting control of those and not letting my emotions take control of me, I gotta get rid of my demons before I can get further in life, but some of those demons just like to stay out of reach or play dead for a while (for a lack of better words). I think a good place to start would be to find a way to let my emotions go before the bukket overflows, hard part is that due to some issues in the past I kiiiinda taught myself the idiot "lesson" to not show emotions unless you have no other option... (Long story, made a thread about it once a few weeks or maybe months back. not sure how long ago, just sure I made it) if I could control at least that then there's a good chance that it would all go better.
- Show previous comments 7 more
-
I believe I do know where it comes from, already explained the stress part, so I'll go from there: When I'm stressed about something big, like exams or how the future will go, I am also less able to contain many emotions. now on the one hand that's good since that teaches me to not store up my emotions till it's too late. On the other it does increase the risk of the bukket overflowing. when the mental bucket overflows, I tend to have a patern like this: Anger, regret, sadness and regular. thus the stronger the emotions were, the longer any of those ones can last. the depression could likely stem from the sadness build up due to the stress before release being the biggest factor in the mental bucket. before you question how I figured that out, I've had some help figuring how my mind works in the past
-
I understand that. I honestly don't think that "how the future will go" is serious enough to stress about. If it was a serious depression issue, then 100% of people would have depression, since everyone has a future awaiting for them.
You just live day by day, setting small goals. These small goals are easily achievable, but they accumulate with each other to create a bigger goal.
Also, I never stress about things that will be done and about things that won't be done.
Things that will be done, will inevitably be accomplished, regardless of how much time and effort I'll have to invest, so why worry about something that will be accomplished?
On the other hand, things that won't be done, will not be accomplished, regardless of my effort and time. So why stress about something that won't be done anyways?
Moral is, just do your best and have no regrets. Failure doesn't exist. It is just another step towards success. So why stress about taking your steps towards success?

It is a bit obvious. The reason why I think Yusei stands little chance against yuya is the amount of boss monsters that yuya has. The four dimension dragons are already a thread to yusei's stardust. Then you have the odd-eyes combintions, the odd-eys upgrades saber and lancer (lancer gets pass all the traps), odd-eyes fusions and finally the palladins. So getting into any of these is quite easy for yuya.
-
I'm looking at it from a perspective with the most fair decks. like n banned cards AT ALL. till yuuya will have an advantage against just Stardust, but stardust also has nice combinations like SHooting Star, majestic and quazar. against yami it will literally be who get's the ace out first and who does the best with it. granted I would love to see either in an anime style duel and be happy with any outcome. Yuuya VS Yusei could posibly even be a turbo duel depending on the setting
