Crest Suggestions for ALL Eeveelutions
Cyphre replied to MhicKy's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
No it is not. Boltund get a move with 97.5 power, while having 90 base attack. While Jolten gets Thunderbolt with 90 power, but 110 base sp attack, while also having Thunder is he wishes so. Thunder Fang also can easily miss. Also do not forget that while Boltund is fast, there are enough enemies that will outspeed him, while much less can outspeed Jolteon. Better coverage - yes. Stronger - absolutely objectively not. And what good it's gonna do to make a mess out of already very intricate balance "for fun"? We can make this shit for every pokemon, swap Blissey's hp with attack or this, is littering the game with 300 more dumb unnecessary crests will do any good for the game? Okay, i will tell Alakazam, Reuniclus, Meowstic and Grumpig they are trash now. They will be pretty amused. Why would you use Vaporeon in the rain against something that know Thunder? Why would you use Jolteon vs ground types? -
Crest Suggestions for ALL Eeveelutions
Cyphre replied to MhicKy's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Leafeon and Glaceon received them because they SUCK. Not because they are underperforming, because they completely sucked ass and were barely viable, if at all. There are not "multiple" pokemon who need crests more, there are hundreds of those who would benefit from crests more. If you check who got crests, around 90% of those are very weak and underperforming pokemon, with only exceptions being several starters and Sylveon, who always had very bad stats for a legendary, and this crest finally put him on the level of others. Boltund got his crest because he doesnt learn any special moves naturally and can only get discharge from breeding. Before he couldnt even utilize his great speed because both of his attacking stats sucked, base 90 is far from impressive. Boltund never was strong and now he is viable as a physical attacker, with all the fang moves. Spiritomb never was powerful, especially after fairy type arrived, because he lacked both speed and recovery, so you could build him either as dream eater, or priority user, which were both bad. Now he is actually strong, a bit overtuned in my opinion even after a nerf. Before crest he was garbage. Darmanitan have absolutely PATHETIC bulk, making his Zen Mode practically unviable, since there will be almost no situation in Rejuvenation where he will syrvive a hit to actually enter Zen mode. This crest doesnt directly power up Darmanitan, it just changes his form. Dusknoir, again, while having good stats, have absolutely terrible movepool he simply cannot utilize. His highest base moves we can get normally are 75 base power punches, now he can viably use coverage moves like Rock Tomb, Bulldoze, and his Shadow Sneak will not simply tickle an opponent. Glaceon and Leafeon got crests for same reasons: Leafeon got abysmal movepool he cant do anything with even if he tries. Im not sure why exactly he got extra resists, but he is at least decent now. Glaceon sucked more than any eevilution, so buffing his resistances was a very good thing for an Ice type. Espeon is already amazing. Jolteon got very limited movepool, but his stats are stellar. Umbreon is amazing. Sylveon is amazing. Vaporeon is amazing. Crests dont exist to make an amazing pokemon beyond broken. They exist to make a complete travesty of a pokemon somewhat viable. -
Crest Suggestions for ALL Eeveelutions
Cyphre replied to MhicKy's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
No. Second topic like this. The only one remotely in need of a crest is Flareon, who probably will receive one anyway. Other eevelutions are already powerful enough mons who dont need any other buffs, and crests that swap stats are usually dogshit anyway, like Infernape crest. -
Intense Mode Morty Fight
Cyphre replied to Xtrack's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Who fight? I dont remember any Morty. -
I'm not exactly a stranger to Rejuvenation, i've seen it mostly grow for many years, even wrote a fairly wordly Reborn and Rejuvenation comparison at some point, where Rejuvenation won in my opinion as a superior game. But considering v13 just happened, and Rejuvenation will have only 16 episodes, which was confirmed by Jan several times long ago, i feel like i need to talk about some things and get my opinion about them out there for discussion. That said, let's get to it. This will not be an extensive essay or full on analysis, mostly just notable points. 1) Characters and writing This is one thing i didnt have a chance to say since v13 dropped, by i am thouroughly impressed by how far Jan has come in his writing skills. Before dialogues were oftentime simplistic, only existing to carry characters from event to event. They were very far from bad, but not exactly on the par with some of the more complex works of fiction. However, replaying v13 from the beginning, this game's dialogues now possess 2 very important things they lacked quite a bit before: depth and flavor. There are a lot more silly moments, casual interactions, downtime. Characters interact with each other in a much more organic manner (which was good enough before, dont get me wrong), but v13 elevated a lot of dialogues, especially first half of the game (which, i assume, was affected the most) on a new level, which i cant not appreciate. I feel like this is not only a correct direction and huge improvement, this is something beyond what should have been done and i cannot be more impressed by it. However, i got a bit mixed feelings about characters. It's not about how they were written, it's not about them being good or bad, however tonal shifts in their behavior at times is a bit too much. For example, i think Geara was handled in the worst possible way he could be. He just got reformed from being split into pieces and is just "yeah, we cool now, i dont hate you, buh-bye". This was absolutely terrible and came out of nowhere. Instead, imagine this scenario: Geara, being a murderous psychopatic vengeful prick, comes back with a vengeance, threatening not only MC, but everyone around him now, and take a hostage again. But now we have grown as a person and as a trainer, and we actually can use our knowledge from Sashila sidequest about his origins to find more common ground and story from him and about him, his feelings about wispy tower and Vitus and all that, and achieve a better outcome, showing how far we have come since Valor mountain. I feel like Geara's tonal shift was absolutely undeserved, badly done and nonsensical. Another thing that wasnt done well, in my opinion, is Angie's return. In our first encounter Angie was mysterious and, more importantly, sinister. Now with, admittedly, very well done dungeon on a technical level, we have a place filled with goofy maids, humour and comedic reliefs, and Angie herself seems barely threatening and look more like a comic book villain of the worst kind. She doesnt have the upper hand, she doesnt show any kind of cunning, and her overconfidence this time is undeserved, to say the least. She is a clown now, which is... a shame. Kanon is another contender, however he has been a problem for a while. The biggest problem is, Kanon is just... not needed. Never was needed. You can cut him out completely and not a single event in the game will significantly change. And his entire new arc of him starting to think for himself, instead of blindly serving... as well as him being the first of Vitus creations... why? Nancy clearly showed that maids can develop real feelings and attachments and gain freedom of will and choices, and the whole Vitus thing is just tacked on for literally no reason. I would even argue that overall, Kanon is the worst character in the game and have no business being in here. Those are several of the most prominent examples that appeared exclusively in v13, however some of the things were played off much better, like the entire Hazuki and Blakeory arc. I wish we had more Crawli and Rorim, who were forgotten. I wish we would actually see Madelis bonding with Neved's daughter. I wish we would see more of Madelis and Cassandra interactions during the course of the whole game, back when she was an admin and in the position of power. A lot of the stuff is still need additional exposure, but generally characterization is done mostly well, however the entire cast need an overall major check on consistensy and tone, and if they are changed because of character development, that change need to be understandable and deserved. 2) Story This will be a separate point, because i am... concerned. A lot. I do love Rejuvenation and it's story to death, however we are now at 13 out of 16 episodes, and we. Know. NOTHING. I can give you a list of at least 40-50 major prominent questions that ALL need answering and need to start making sense soon, but the only question that got answered in v13 was Rune's fate, otherwise it just piled more questions. And the game need to start answering them at some point. Dumping a full novel of exposition in the eleventh hour is a VERY, VERY, VERY bad idea and will make every possible reveal just flat. We dont know anything about team Xen. We dont know a lot about Bladestar and V. We dont know a lot about Storm-9. We dont know a lot about Miera, Vitus, Rejuvenation co, Adrest and his mother, Springs, Garufa e.t.c. e.t.c. While i enjoy complexity of the narrative, the amount of questions piled up need to be unloaded, or it will all collapse in the end. And i feel like this is a very huge concern at this point. Even if Jan and co will be cheeky and do version 13.5, 14.75, 15.674859, the narrative need answers very soon. 3) Location design and visuals, overall presentation An unreal improvement over v12. Redone early areas are fantastic, tiles are much more varied and unique, locations feel better, and Zumi and her art deserve a medal. And a lot of her favorite food. My only wish is much more full character portaits or separate arts in important moments. Example: we go up Valor mountain, we go through the whole sequence, and it's the moment of the fight with Zetta and Geara. And there is a full screen art of them, imposing, in front of hour heroes, in this tragic, flaming hell. We look at them from below, Zetta is in doubts, Geara got a shit eating grin, magma is boiling, scarlet bloody skies above, obscured by vulcanic ash, our heroes full of determination. And battle transfers directly from this art. I do not know if this is possible at all and how much work it would be for poor Zumi, but hot damn this would add to already impressive and titanic work that was done over visuals and landscapes. I can only clap here. You are a legend, Zumi. 4) Gameplay I can only speak from my experience, and since it was exlusively on Intense, it is only one side of the coin. I've made an entire topic with critique about Field Effects, so i will not touch this topic again. One thing i need to address though is battle with Saki and her 2 Megas with held items. In my opinion, this is the point where you are going too far with designing a battle. Even enemies need to obey the same rules and play on equal field, when enemies start playing a different game, it becomes not fun for me and a lot of people. It's not even about difficulty, still a lot of ways to win, however the feeling of a fight being a cheap, horribly designed piece of poop remains and soils the experience. My personal feelings are such: i suggest whoever designs fights, probably Azery (not sure, sorry if not), to not venture into the territory of enemies bending pokemon rules. Ultimately, it's your game, your difficulty, your design, i can only express feelings of one experienced pokemon player, and they are not positive about such things. Another thing i've seen is a general increase in difficulty, both in Normal and Intense, and while i personally like it outside of Field Effects that were butchered in v13, i feel like Rejuvenation still need to be accessible to average player without them needing to lower difficulty to casual, at least because of how good it's story is. Overall i want to say that Jan and team did an amazing work over v13 and only when played it from scratch i understood why it took years. The amount of work poured into v13 canot be compared to any version before and it shows, the quality of the game improves almost everywhere, and i feel like his entire team grew a lot as people and as creators over the years. This, however, didnt come without some major stinkers, and i truly believe they can be smoothed out in future versions. P.S. Zumi, seriously, please think about fullscreen art. You are so incredibly talented you could create a whole new dimension for all characters with this. Thank you~

The MC's Past [V13 SPOILERS]
Cyphre replied to Lucifer Morningstar's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
I think this is just a smartass nickname. Im not a flower expert, but google convinced me dahlia is generally a flower, assotiated with romance and eternal devotion, while in the negative context of the flower it means instability and dishonesty. Which pretty much describes obessive and manipulative Crescent. -
So what do you think is the role of...
Cyphre replied to Cyphre's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
I dont know, if he is just a comic relief character, what would be the point of raising the whole Grevillea family as Flora's motivation, as well as making Jenkel a pupil of the man? This definitely should still play at some point, especially considering we didnt yet deal with mysterious V. It is possible Jenkel is directly her agent. -
Doctor Jenkel? This is one character of the entire cast that did not do anything relevant, despite seemingly having some important role in Bladestar, being a student of Flora's father as well. He was tinkering with Musharna in the beginning of the game as well, suggesting he had some plans at all, but at this point in the game he barely exist and was barely mentioned. Some years ago i suggested a theory that he was a Puppet Master, but this went down the drain, obviously. So what do you think is his role in the game and how he will be relevant?

Question regarding Vespiquen Crest

That's kinda the point of the crests, to make less viable pokemon more viable. -
The MC's Past [V13 SPOILERS]
Cyphre replied to Lucifer Morningstar's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Chances are high that Adrest is the one who did reset everything. And as well as the whole conglomerate of souls inside MC, he doesnt share memory with us. There is still a big question of what YOU, a player, are. We inhabit a body that consist of 6 souls + Adrest chilling inside, but where does that leave us, the player? Also there is a matter of Ana, who seemingly was with us in the orphanage and if this correlates at all. -

Need help beating Angie! V13
Cyphre replied to Ellebana the Wicked's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Oranguru is your god here. Can catch it in Hula Meadow. Arcanine wont do much on her field, so put up Trick Room, get out your Mawile and Coppa, and yeet her team with cold iron. -
You cant change it into a cave field anymore. * These moves transform the field into Sky field: Fly Bounce Heavenly Wing * These moves transform this field into a Snowy Mountain: Blizzard Subzero Slammer * These moves transform this field into a Volcanic Top Field: Lava Plume Magma Drift Eruption Inferno Overdrive One of the many, many, many bad things done to Fields in v13.

MysticUmbreon Best team

I just wish it wasnt, like, THE ugliest pokemon ever created. Even a thought of using this thing gives me shivers. -
[SPOILERS, maybe] A "fun" idea for the ending.
Cyphre replied to Memebot's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
There was this line, that was outlined in orange, that, i think, hints a lot on some very far future events. It was somewhere on Carotos (Edit: actually Valor, mixed my mountains) mountain or after it, when Melia (i think said) "I wish we could do something differently". Or something like this. For now i assume it's a Chekhov Gun and in time we will beat Madame X, learn the truth, and use time crystal to travel back and fix everything. Interceptor, to begin with, it not from their world the way i see it. -

Im not sure what do you mean by "install", you just download the folder and laynch an .exe file in there, it already comes with the latest patch. -
[SPOILERS, maybe] A "fun" idea for the ending.
Cyphre replied to Memebot's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
First of all, we dont even know how it will end, even remotely. For all we know everyone will die in some ultimate sacrifice or time will reset and we never meet Melia and Venam and others, but they will live happily ever after. Second, thats more or less Persona 3 ending and doing Aigis thing. So no. I really dont think this is a good idea. -

MysticUmbreon Best team
Cyphre replied to Harryd1998's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Speaking from Intense experience: 1) Super fast = super useful. Crobat, Noivern, Ninjask, Electrode, Talonflame, Jolteon. 2) Sturdy = super useful. Golem, Magneton/Zon, Aggron, Gigalith, Donphan, Todegemaru. Couple of Golems for example can really stomp (literally) on Amber's team. 3) Priority = super useful. Scizor, Honchcrow, Crested Spiritomb, Lycanrock, Mamoswine. 4) Speed Boost = super useful. Blaziken, Sharpedo, Scolipede, Yanmega. 5) Intimidate = Super useful. Arcanine, will be probably the earliest and most useful one you can use. 6) Oranguru is an absolute MUST for any Intense team. Train it to be a fatass so he could setup Trick Room. 7) Pyukumuku is an absolute MUST for any Intense team. Purify is the ONLY move that can counter several nasty fields. 8) Prankster Meowstic can be found very early and can be super essential for setting up Screens or crippling a mon for setup. Just make sure it's male. 9) Wobuffet is a god. Always feel dirty and cheap using him, but hey, sometimes you dont want to spend time rearranging your whole strategy. 10) Alolan Muk is a god. Amazing bulk, typing and one of the best Memento users for Rift Bullshit. 11) Wide Guard is great for several of the hardest fights. Throh or Machamp are your earliest and best users generally. Overall if you want to have a team that can deal with most things on the fly without too much rearranging, i would say... 1. Technician Scizor, Steel/Bug, can work both in Trick Room and outside. Classic Sword Punch yeet. 2. Alolan Muk, Poison/Dark, very fat and versatile wall(breaker), can counter screens with Brick Break and Rift Bullshit with Memento, also leaving opportunities for setup. 3. Blaziken as a starter, Fighting/Fire, broken chicken that can trivialize a lot of fights. Protect/Speed Boost/High Jump Yeet. Flare Blitz if necessary. Alternative is Protean Greninja, as much of an easymode starter. 4. Jolteon, Electric, the "my coverage sucks" pokemon of your team, but he will outspeed mostly anything without priority. 5. Thick Fat Mamoswine, Ice/Ground, Ice Shards from hell and good stats. Can either be trained to be megathicc or be a battering ram for your team. 6. Male Prankster Meowtistic, Psychic, Light Clay, screens on the fly ahoy. Screen, cripple, die and be a happy kitty cat. As for your reserve: 1. Lord and Jesus Pyukumuku. Trust me, train one. 2. Oranguru. Mandatory. 3. Wobuffet. In case you are lazy. 4. Throh/Machamp. For Wide Guard. 5. Couple of Sturdy mons, 2-3 Golems, 2-3 Magnetons. Trust me. Oh, and Sturdy Togedemaru with Nuzzle. IMO that's the bare minimum of mandatory things you need to finish Intense with the least changes in your team. Chances are you still will want to train extra 10, maybe 20, maybe 50 if you care enough other pokemon who can deal with hyper specialized teams in the same way. -
Valarie battle (different timeline)
Cyphre replied to blastcore1's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Yeah thats a bit of a shitty situation, had some troubles on Intense there because my team i had back then wasnt specialized in countering specific water team. At this point im pretty sure you cannot change your team at this point, since there is no PC at all. Which make sense story-wise, to be fair, but is a gut punch in terms of some fights. Pretty sure your best bet at this point is to use Debug mode if you cannot defeat her at all.
