  1. Araquanid is an absolute blessing for Bug Monotype. It not only resists Fire thanks to Water Bubble, but also has Wide Guard to counter every enemy throwing out Rock Slides everywhere.

I've destroyed Charlotte in four out of the five runs I've done so far. She really all comes down to whether or not you can outspeed her.

    1. Vinnie

Wide guard also helps because she tends to spam heat wave as well.

      Araquanid is that bish

  2. the trainers in Grand Hall change each day so you could change the day on your system to find someone that you can beat easily.
  3. Hooray, it's back! Gonna miss the sprite tho, this new one is pretty lame. Ya, that whole episode at the top of Valor Mountain is a fucking mess. On the bright side I'm convinced it's physically impossible to get worse than someone's literal spontaneous resurrection getting only about two seconds of attention.
  4. Count me interested, although I don't really put that much effort into perfecting my Mons.
  5. Araquanid also has a ton of Special Defense, so take care of it with physical moves. Emolga's Acrobatics is probably your best option. If you have any Pokémon that can learn Nature Power you can use that to use Flamethrower once you've changed the Field to Burning. Make sure to remove the Focus Sash from Slugma too; you won't get another one for a long time and there's better uses for it. Shelly has a reputation for being one of the leaders that gives people the most troubles, so don't worry too much about how it'll go afterwards.
  6. You could also try reteaching Araquanid Wide Guard and have another Pokémon set up while it's protected from Heat Wave and Rock Slide.
  7. I've done six or so playthroughs and never got another lesson than the Void one. Seems unlikely that it's random. the only thing I can think of that could be a trigger is if you didn't find all of the policemen before the Double Admin fight, but that seems like a weird connection.
  8. Seems pretty neat so far. they only sowed off the new Region and Starters, but that was to be expected. Graphics looked pretty neat; it's not like a Pokémon game needs hyper-detailed surroundings. Seems like a nice step up from SM without overdoing it. the Starters' designs are kind of equally eh for me right now so I'm gonna hold off for their evolutions and more other Pokémon before making a judgement on that. Judging by the logos it seems like a wolflike Pokémon will be important for the story or Region as a whole.
  9. try talking to the captain on the ship or Melia and Aelita if they're anywhere on it.
  10. PMD has it pretty much the same way. they can move around at double the player's speed, are Lv. 100, get infinite reinforcements and will hunt you down. Dungeon Shopkeepers beating your ass for stealing is a staple of Mystery Dungeon games.
  11. If I'm remembering correctly there's a somewhat lowered path leading north into a cave just a short bit away from the Void Chasm.
  12. First of all why the heck would you use Bounce when you could use a stab Fire attack instead? >__> Also Spinda is just kind of really bad. Unless you've got some sort of special stratey with that it's really not worth dragging around. His team just plain dies to Rock attacks, so anything fast with a Rock attack should easily take him out; also Stealth Rocks eats his team for breakfast. Fire and Flying attacks are also very good; Arcanine and Charizard are both good Fire types, I'd say better than Rapidash, but I've never used on of those yet so ymmv. Shell Smash Magcargo should be able to 6-0 him easily.
  13. A lot of your Pokémon have multiple moves of the same type, there's really only any point in that if the moves do something significantly different. Some of them are also missing stab moves of their second types. try to keep your movesets diverse, so you've got more options for coverage. Some more details on how his team is giving you trouble would make iv easier to help you, but in general: his team uses trick Room and his setters are Reuniclus and Slowking. Either focus or ignore them, depending on if fighting under trick Room is better or worse for your team. Your Camerupt could use trick Room to fire off full-powered Eruptions for example; use a Fire Gem for a one-time nuke or a Metronome and keep Camerupt's health up to spam increasingly powerful Eruptions. Both ivems should be available at the Department Store in Obsidia, look for more Stickers if they aren't. Since your Drapion's ability is Sniper an item that increases crit rate would work well with Night Slash's own increased crit rate. Camerupt's Anger Point is a bad ability, switch it to Solid Rock if you can. A Moxie-Mightyena with Sucker Punch should be able to take out several of his Pokémon, maybe even all except Mimikyu. Sucker Punch in general should handily deal with Gengar. Alternatively a Sturdy Geodude/Graveler with Bulldoze could slow it down for your other Pokémon to take it out.
  14. You probably need to fix your Pokémons' movesets, because right now they kind of suck. For instance there's absolutely no reason to keep Confusion around when Psybeam is a straight upgrade to that. Is your Meowstic male or female? If it's female teach it Charge Beam and change its ability to Competitive if you can; if it's male teach it Light Screen and Reflect and change its aility to Prankster. Next, your Pansear has three Fire attacks, switch the weakest one out for something else, unless you absolutely need it to set the Field on fire. You'll want at most two attacks of the same time in your movesets and even then only if they serve different purposes. Pidgeotto and talonflame are still using the most basic moves of their types - Quick Attack is fine, but stuff like Gust or Ember isn't gonna cut it at this point. Switch them out if you can't give them any better moves right now. Your Swampert should have learned Rock Slide some time around Corey, did you keep that? Swampert is a great tank and its only weakness is Grass which Shelly has only covered with Masquerain and Yanmega. In case you din't know: a "timid" nature means that the Pokémon has a reduced Attack stat and you've got that one two physical attackers. In the future you should look out that your Pokémon at least don't have Natures that reduce their key stats. Anorith is very slow when it's not raining, so if you focus it the turn it comes out your birds should be save from it. Araquanid is very slow as well, so focus it once it shows up, especially if you want to rely on the burning Field. A big part of its power comes from its ability which reduces the damage from Fire attacks and doubles the power of its Water attacks; Gastro Acid, Skill Swap and the like can be used to get rid of that ability or you could focus it with your strongest Rock and Flying attacks. I'm convinced the fight should be doable if you change your movesets and rethink your strategy based on those new movesets, but if you want to or think you have to train some new Pokémon here are my recommendations: Growlithe is available from the Beryl Ward police office once you found all the missing officers. It comes with a random Egg Move, I recommend Close Combat for an offensive set or Morning Sun for a bulky set. Numel shows up at the Peridot train station under rainy weather. It learns a number of good moves, including Rock Slide, fairly early and Camerupt's Hidden ability reduces the damage taken from super effective attacks. It's only really worth it if make sure you get that Ability though, since it's so slow that it absolutely will eat attacks before it gets to do something. Onix is a gift from a hiker in Peridot Ward, if you help him find a house. It's quite fast for a Rock type and learns Rock Slide; it also has some utility with Sturdy, Stealth Rock and Rock tomb. Lastly, make sure to search everyhwere for hidden items. Suspicious rocks, corners and the like will often yield usefull items like Gems and Seeds, as well as Shards to trade in with the move tutors later on.
  15. Somehow played through KH3 in just two sittings (although one of tho sittings admittely went for >30 hours)
I'm not sure how to feel about the ending, or honestly the whole plot. It was obvious from this series that there was going to be more mysteries for the next game to clear out but overall I feel like the game could've been handled better.

  16. @LolisRcomfy where exactly are you having trouble with her fight; a particular of her mons that's giving you a hard time? Fake Out Illumise then Flame Burst to set the Field on fire is the recommended strategy. If you want another Fire type you can get a Growlithe from Beryl once you found all the police officers. Nature Power on a Burning Field turns into Flamethrower, so that's a great option on anyone who can learn it. Sturdy Geodude/Graveller from below the Grand Staircase can help out with Stealth Rocks.
  17. there should be a PC in the cell way back where you started, pretty sure backtracking is possible. Do you have the tM for Smack Down? If you can cancel out its Levitate you should be able to deal loads of damage with Ground moves. Gastro Acid, Skill Swap and the like should work for that too.
  18. I have no idea how you managed to save mid-conversation but thank you very much!
  19. So I'm in Carotos mountain with Aelita and SEC wants me to input some passwords. Unfortnately I can't do that because my keyboard is broken and some keys don't work anymore. One of them just so happens to be required for the first password. I can't ctrl-v the required letter into the game and I can't get the game to react to Windows's desktop keyboard thing either. No USB keyboard lying around eiter. I've tried transferring the file to V10, but starting the game produces a bunch of error popups and shows only New Game on the startup menu. (I did save outside Carotos so it shouldn't be a problem with the map, might be because of save slot 2) So basically I need help - could somebody please do the password thing for me? Game_2.rxdata It'd also be great if someone knows something I could do in case this happens again later on.
  20. the Hardcore mod is discontnued from what I've heard, but somebody is working on a new one. Since you haven't done one of those how about a Monotype run? (=Using only Pokémon of a certain type)
  21. Shouldn't you be able to restrict how far the NPC in question can "see"? there's plenty off cases in games where NPCs will only spot the player when they've approached to a certain point because letting them move any more could potentially block the players' path.
  22. Alright, thanks. Say, I wouldn't be able to convince to include the TMX Mod again? I've startet my save file on V9 where achievements didn't exist, so I don't even have enough AP for on of the Golden Items. I know there's the Recreation Center to gain AP, but it's not available when starting the V11 content and HMs are driving me nuts already. My team can use basically none and the only one that can learn some has to give up moves that I can't get back with TMs.
  23. So this might be a dumb question, but there's an "Optional" folder included with some mods in it, does that mean all the other mods in this aren't optional? 'Cause I remember for V10 you could pick and choose which mods to use.
  24. I'd recommend capturing a Hoppip with Grassy Field from near Obsidia Slums. Grassy Field removes the boost to Struggle Bug that the Forest Field gives while still boosting your Pokémon and Jumpluff is fast enough to reliably set it up. It also learns Acrobatics at Level 34 - even if Jumpluff's offense sucks, that's still a very powerful move that early on. Also, tangela learns Ancient Power and evolves on Lv. 38, that should probably be enough to power through her team. I don't know how Serra's current team looks, but for Charlotte you could probably pull some things with Prankster Whimsicott or trick Room Alolan Exeggcutor. I'd make sure to get a Cradily for that. Did you remember to pick up the Mystery Egg?
  25. Are there any major changes to the earlygame in this version? Say, up until the third Badge or so?
