  1. Pegasus. Because it derives from Greek mythology and horses are anyways the most majestic and noble creatures ever existed.
  2. My point stands in that I had a lot of fun played Insurgence. I am so used to Reborn/Intense Rejuvenation difficulty that most of the battles were too easy, but the story was cool and (if I dare say) closer to the simplicity of the canon games. It is undoubtedly one of the best fan-games in my list, topped by Reborn, Rejuvenation, Desolation and Apex that are closer to my way of thinking, which is making "weaker" pokemon shine. I am not a fan of involving legendaries in the plot early on to create a "cheap" feeling of difficulty, and this is what Insurgence does. When it comes to bugs, this is 100% deriving from the fact that the last update was far too big to control, alpha/beta and monitor properly without a huge team of testers and developers. However, rudeness is not tolerated. Their community isn't exactly practising tolerance and polite guidance towards newcomers, and there is the sense of arrogance in the air. It can easily be found on posts of mods, devs or suze himself occasionally. So, I will always say a good word about the game story-wise, let people know about the bugs they might encounter and advise them not to waste their time on interacting with Insurgence forums at all. (Copied and pasted from a conv where I said it again.) http://www.rebornevo.com/forum/index.php?/profile/49175-wolfox/&status=112330&type=status
  3. *Sees Gardevoir and Magneton *Gets tilted instantaneously because of originality overload *Overcomes it Your team is pretty good already. I don't think you need any additions to it. I'd replace Roserade with a Physical Grass type, maybe Chesnaught/Sawsbuck, to balance the physical/special attackers in your team. But (forgive me for saying my opinion crudely) I think that getting 'mons like Dratini traded in without doing a custom run (e.g. Dragon monotype) makes the game too easy and defeats its purpose. Which is using underrated/rarely used 'mons to discover their hidden grace! However, the way everyone plays the game isn't something that I can decide, or judge!
  4. Remembering how much you preferred Dewott's design to Samurott's in your Water mono, I thought you'd might like this! Alternate Samurott design!

Much better in my humble opinion. What do you think? :)

    1. Azeria

      people hating on samurott :(

  5. I have said actually that I would finish both runs, then keep updating. But regardless, I don't feel it's my obligation to inform anyone about anything. I do it for fun, it's not my job to update on a regular basis. I will just update when I have time and feel like it.
  6. Hey guys, do you know when E17 is coming out?

Reborn doesn't have set release dates; episodes are just released when they're ready. Currently E17 is well into beta testing. After that is the community release, which is when people who have a forum account will be able to play. As for when that will be, no one can really say, since testing is a bit harder to put into percentages than episode development. There's no telling how many bugs will pop up and when, along with how simple or complicated they are. Originally Ame's goal was one week for each testing phase, but she's realized that that's a bit too idealistic given the massive new changes to the AI system and how much of a headache it is to get them working properly. The community release might be soon as beta testing has been going on for a while now as I mentioned earlier, but testing progress is a bit more unpredictable so I recommend being cautiously optimistic.

If you're interested in keeping a closer eye on Reborn's progress, the devolopment blog is a good place to follow. Although there likely won't be any more announcement threads, underneath the progress bar Ame sometimes posts a note to let people know how it's going. Some of these notes are informative, some are funny, and some are funny and informative. Here's a link to the development blog if you're interested: http://www.rebornevo.com/index.php?/pr/development/

I hope that my answer was helpful and that you have a good day :) or night, depending on your time zone.

Did you set your date to Wumbo

  7. Alakazam. Cause we don't need any more Gardevoirs in Reborn. It is ridiculous, everyone has a Magnezone and a Gardevoir. Pardon my salt, but I am so fed up with those two.
  8. That was my original thought as well. But then, I thought that probably Lin's Hydreigon was just at a (very) higher level, so the "weakness" thing just didnt matter anymore...
  9. Also, (if it's like Rejuvenation) enjoy getting destroyed by Z-moves by even the 1st Gym leader.
  10. Also, don't complain about not having access to healing items... Just catch a few Pickup mons, and you'll be all set! Pachirisu/Zigzagoon is a great one (well, two) that you can get early.
  11. Infernape is just as good by the way And much, MUCH cooler! Or hotter?
  12. @Yagami I voted Poison since it's the most abundant type early game and you can do a vanilla run, without having to trade mons in. Fire would be my second choice. If you do a Fire mono though, please, for the love of God, use something other than Torchik. It just kills the challenge, plus Blaziken is ugly as hell.
  13. I'm playing in Intense and Angie didn't have any legendaries. At least in Gym battle, dunno if I'll battle her again later, since it is my first playthrough of the game and I'm just after defeating Amber...
  14. This is a pretty good bunch of information about Bugs! Having done a Bug mono myself, I will give my advice 1) Kricketune is amazing early-mid game. But it come also come in clutch with Taunt sometimes. e.g. vs Luna's Umbreon. If she can't Moonlight/Toxic you, she is nothing. Then, you can X-Scissor it to death easily. 2) Butterfree will help you soooo much with Tailwind. Sometimes, all you will need is your speed stat to be boosted. Find a chance with Butterfree to set a Tailwind, then proceed to destroy the poor opponent. Butterfree is also a beast with Compound Eyes/Sleep Powder and Quiver Dance, but Vivillon plays that role better, cause Hurricane>>>Air Slash (Butterfree gets Air Slash in Gen VII). I ran a moveset with Tailwind, Bug Buzz, Electoweb and Quiver Dance on my Butterfree and it worked wonders. 3) Dustox. Dustox is too strong early-mid game. Poison Powder and Venoshock can destroy Florinia. Moonlight to heal, Light Screen to boost Sp. Defence, Psybeam too. It's just too good early-mid game, and can even be used late as a wall. 4) Surskit becomes great in Gen VII with a base speed boost from 60 to 80, and Sp. Attack from 80 to 100. Quiver Dance on it is scary, combined with Hydro Pump, Bug Buzz and Air Slash. 5) Vespiquen will get Power Gem early on. Which will make it your only way to counter Flying types and Fire types (together with Masquerain) till you get access to Crustle (for both) or Ninjask/Shedinja (they have Dig for Fire types only). You can wait till Combee learns Bug Buzz at lv. 29 and run a Sp. Attacking one with Power Gem, Bug Buzz, Air Slash and (maybe) Heal Order/Defence Order, or (after you get the TMs, much later) run a bulky one with Infestation, Toxic, Defence Order AND Heal Order. I did both and they worked amazingly. 6) Moxie Heracross is amazing. Can sweep Luna relatively easily (bar Prankster Confuse Ray Sableye), and put a dent on Radomus, as long as you prevent him from setting up Trick Room. 7) Forretress with Sturdy/Spikes will give you a whole lot of chances to weaken the opponent's mons enough to KO them, if your super effective moves aren't enough otherwise. (e.g. vs Cal, Masquerain's Hydro Pump will OHKO everything bar Charizard after 1-2 layers of Spikes, even without rain on). Gyro Ball will also be useful and Bug Bite hits quite OK early on. Payback will also find use. 8) ARIADOS. You think it is useless, but it isn't. Besides the obvious late game Sticky Web, which is a role better covered by Galvantula, you have great priority moves. Sucker Punch AND Shadow Sneak. Also, Night Shade. Fixed damage and double resistance vs PULSE Tangrowth is good. 9) I could keep going about each Bug pokemon, but it will be better for you to find for yourself . One advice would be to see every Gym battle in advance, and see what you would need for move breeding purposes. e.g. Masquerain loses much fire power without Hydro Pump. So, you have to breed it on it. That's why I picked Squirtle as starter. Also, PLAN YOUR STRATEGIES BEFORE STEPPING INTO THE NON-RETURN SPOT (aka Agate gate). If you pass it, then it's over. No more move breeding, EV training, NOTHING! So, be prepared! 10) You won't overpower many trainers with brute force. You won't be able to take hits easily (hence, the healing item spam won't work if you keep Reviving mons that get oneshot). So, develop strategies. Without thinking, you will stand there, wondering why Bugs are so useless. 11) EV train. You will need that power boost later on (yes Ciel, I'm looking at you), trust me on this. 12) Please, show Bennett that he is useless. Hope I helped!
  15. @seki108's Insurgence-roasting abilities surpass even mine.
  16. I think the game itself provides you with a lot of pokemon able to defeat Shelly, so you don't need 2 starters (you already have one, you want Blaziken too...) and the (quite overpowered) Gastly to defeat her... But regardless, if you just want to have an easy time, spam attacks brainlessly and win, you can do it, yes...
  17. What do you mean by "right now"? Are you doing a challenge run?
  18. Water Shuriken becoming Special does not only refer to Greninja. It is also a buff to Accelgor, which I will accept with great pleasure! Priority Water coverage multihit special move (to break Sturdies) on a greatly fast special attacking Bug? Hell yeah!
  19. This topic is bugging me. No pun intended. Or maybe there is a pun?
  20. Use Fake Out on Illumise with a Liepard and set the field on fire with a Skuntank knowing Flame Burst. You can breed Flame Burst on a Stunky via a Growlithe or Simisear. Hope it works
  21. Meet me! I despise Blaziken. I adore Torchik and Combusken, but Blaziken was a huge disappointment to me... It looks terribadtastic, as Julia would say. Good luck in your run (even though you won't need luck for a canon Pokemon game run ) Have fun!
  22. Let's be honest here, Phanpys became extinct. I've been searching for 3 hours, in daytime, not a single one.
  23. I get the point of other wild encounters being more rare than others. But with all due respect to Rejuvention devs... WHY THE HELL IS PHANPY MORE ELUSIVE THAN FUCKING ARTICUNO IN GOLDENLEAF TOWN????

  24. Yes please. Dragonair is elegant, mystical and powerful looking. Dragonite is cute, like a kindergarten Barney guardian. This would be optional. But if they are so keen on keeping the Barney cute-gentle element, they could go for something like this.
