  1. Chapter 3: Burn scars will take long to heal... Right... First of all, same old... If you're bored to read, just skip to 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Part, to watch the video coverage via Youtube! So, after becoming champions of the (hardly) renowned Midna Trainer School Tournament, it was time to struggle to catch a Totodile in Route 2. 10% encounter rate they said. Taurosshit. I had 60 encounters till a single Totodile appeared. But I managed to get it and returned to Route 1, where I had a chat with Hiker Sam! We traded, I gave him my Totodile and he sent me the rarest of his Pokemon. Which was, to my great surprise and joy, a Delta Dwebble (Cake form)! So, another member for my squad... Framboise, the Delta Dwebble (Cake form) (Male) Typing: Fairy/Normal Shiny: No Lvl. 15 Timid (later changed to Hardy)/Scrappy Fairy Wind Sweet Scent Mist Powder Snow After this was taken care of, and with a squad of 3 now, we continued surging through Route 2, but some Cultists decided to block the way to Suntouched City, so I was forced to visit the Ancient Ruins nearby! Some lovely Lucario statues in there, by the way, do pay a visit, and take your cameras with you, it is worth it! I wonder if the statues are giving away a hint about which Pokemon we will encounter inside the temple... After exploring all the rooms and getting a good amount of loot (even Silver Wind TM), we find three cultists having surrounded a baby Riolu. I have no clue why Abyssal Cult would want to capture a baby Riolu, but I have to stop that! Nora, who appears out of nowhere, agrees with me! VS ABYSSAL CULTIST My team: To my surprise, this one was tough, because he indeed was armed with the strongest of Pokemon. Or, to state it better, with the strongest of movesets! Battle started with Horsea facing my weakened (dumb me forgot to heal) Framboise. I switched immediately to Viva Aldia and took Horsea out relatively easily with 2 Razor Leaves, even though it had damn Aurora Beam and dealt a good amount of damage to Delta Snorlax. Then, it was the turn of Skrelp and I (quite arrogantly) decided to use it to give EXP to Framboise! I baited its Venoshock, then switched to Lucifer who tanked it easily and proceeded to spam Shadow Sneaks. But Skrelp had -God damn- Icy Wind and 2HKO'ed Lucifer, who only managed to get it to half HP. Viva Aldia finished the job with a couple Bulldozes, after suffering some more damage by Venoshock. Final 'mon, a Corphish. GET DESTROYED BY MY DELTA SNORL....WTF!!! It used X-Scissor and finished off my Viva Aldia... OK... Framboise will have to finish it off himself. A Water Gem-boosted (seriously, wtf is this moveset) Aqua Jet gets Framboise to 1 HP (lucky me) and a Chip Away deals 1/3 of Corphish's HP. I use a Super Potion (not gonna black out here, ffs) and a Chip Away spam takes out Corphish too. Framboise also learns Work Up and I replace Mist. Might b useful! But, DAMN, this was difficult! After battle was over, the cultists still try to capture Riolu, but a Lucario appears, also out of nowhere, and Mega evolves, sending the cultists away (and aborting their mission). As Nora points out, it is weird that Lucario Mega-evolved without having a trainer, since Mega-evolution requires a strong bond between trainer and pokemon... Maybe Lucario's trainer was hidden?... Hmmm... Anyways, Nora leaves and we keep our way towards Suntouched City! And this meant that (after clearing Route 2), we had to battle our way through Cyan Cavern. Which is dreadful, apart from the fact that it has a Nurse Joy to help you heal up. 6th Part: Route 2 and Ancient Ruins! Anyways, the most interesting (to the viewers) and annoying (to me) thing that happened in Cyan Cavern was me taking 2 eternities to defeat an Artist with 2 Baton Passing Smeargles. All they did was Calm Mind, Protect, Shell Smash, Stealth Rock, Sticky Web and Baton Pass, and ofc they had Moody, so they got soon Evasiveness at +6. I legit wanted to kill myself. But soon, I remembered Framboise's Chip Away ignores Defense boosts. So, I brought Framboise in, Worked Up to +6 and just patiently waited till Chip Away connected. Bless the Lord, nightmare was (relatively) soon over! I was finally at Suntouched City! And the first thing I did (after healing up) was patch up my style. I gave myself pink, Mew-matching hair and a silver tiara. I'll become the Queen (or Augur) of Torren region eventually anyways! And then, I explored EVERYTHING! On ground level, it wasn't as interested as I hoped. That is, apart from reading books from random house bookshelves and learning nice facts about Torren Region, and almost puking in front of Jaern's absurdly huge statue. Huge enough to match the size of his propaganda probably. I hate him already, such a poser... BUT! The things got much more interesting when I stepped on a fan and launched myself to the skies! The "Heaven Floor" of Suntouched City was much more interesting. Especially the Broadcast Tower! After speaking to everyone, even to the Director's (seemingly) mute children, I got hired to be the star of a Pokemon TV show! They needed a trainer to encounter and catch rare wild Pokemon. A documentary! At last, quality TV! In my first mission, I caught an Axew! A little bird told me to keep a Dragon type around... I might trade it for a Delta with an NPC at some later point of the game. Till then, into the PC Box it goes! And... second mission... I wonder what that will be... Oh well, I started battling the Gym trainers as I waited for the Director to call me again! They turned out to be a bit difficult... The fact that Viva Aldia is weak vs Fire isn't helping... I have also nothing Super-effective to hit Fire, so it was a bit of a struggle... 7th Part: Exploring Suntouched City! Soon after that, as I was healing (and wondering how the hell am I going to defeat this Gym Leader), the Director called! Turns out people loved me. And my second mission would be to catch a Delta Grimer in a desert! Bit hard, as it buries under the sand and slithers around all the time! But, (who could EVER doubt my skills), of course I did it! And I caught it, proudly introducing the fourth member of my team! Sandman, the Delta Grimer (Male) Typing: Ground Shiny: No Lvl. 25 Careful/Sap Sipper Sand Tomb Swallow Spit Up Minimize I highly doubt the usefulness of Swallow and Spit Up without having Stockpile in the Moveset though, but at least I can hit Fire types super-effectively with something! Plus, the Grass immunity will be useful versus Orion's Chlorophyll-abusing Grass types. Soon, it was time to face Orion, Suntouched City's Gym Leader in a Badge battle. He uses a Sun team by the way. After getting DESTROYED a few times, I decided to get all 4 team members up to level 25, which was the level cap at that moment. But to no avail. That fucking Fletchinder destroyed everything with Acrobatics and Overheat. (That movesets, again). The next video includes a lot of tilt on behalf of me. I even attempted to Run from a Gym Battle. It didn't let me, of course. Sadistic as always! 8th Part: Defeating Orion is impossible... After some careful thinking, some Yoga and breathing session (Kiki's meditation lessons helped a lot here), I found the problems. 1) Drought made every Fire attack absurdly strong. I had to stall it out with my only Pokemon that resists Fire, Lucifer, till I advanced to killing Vulpix. 2) Fletchinder. It had Flying Gem, Acrobatics and Overheat. No chance for Viva Aldia or Framboise to survive. None of my Pokemon could survive those Acrobatics. So, I had to make it miss. 3) The only way to make it miss, was with Sandman's Minimize, which had nothing to hit Fletchinder with (only Sand Tomb). VS ORION (Sun Team) So, I taught Return to Sandman, and tried my luck. My team looked like this... So, the plan was to stall out Vulpix's Draught with Lucifer's Confuse Ray and weaken its Defense with Screech. Then, right at the last turns of Draught, I'd bring in Sandman, maybe get an Attack boost by the Vulpix's random Energy Ball, set up 3 Minimizes and then take out Vulpix with Sand Tomb. Then, pray for Fletchinder to miss and try to take it out with as many Returns as necessary. I was prepared for it to take many efforts, as my strategy heavily relied on whether I will get lucky or not! But, it was the only hope for me to prevent this run from failing already! Desperate times call for desperate measures! Let's see if it worked... (Successful battle starts at 16:45 of the 9th Part video!). 9th Part: 1st (Thermal) Badge [vs Orion] So, after defeating Orion, we get the Thermal Badge and the TM for Flame Charge as a gift. This might prove to be more useful than I initially think! Orion tells me to head towards Vipik City, where the second Gym is, and the Leader there, Xavier, uses a Forest theme, swarmed (pun intended) with Bug and Poison types! He wishes me farewell, and I depart from his (nightmare of a) Gym... But my troubles aren't over... When I try to leave the Gym, I see a panicked girl running in, followed by Nora who goes in the Gym to see what is going on... I follow as well, since my curiosity can't be defeated. This will kill me one day, I swear! Turns out that the panicked girl is Harmony, another Gym Leader, who has come to warm Orion that Cultists have arrived in Suntouched City and searching for him. So, he needs to run away to safety. However, Orion refuses to leave his "friend", a white stone behind, and asks from Harmony to help him carry it! Everyone is laughing at Orion behind his back because he thinks that a rock is alive and considers it his best friend. But, everyone is soon going to be proven terribly wrong... Perfection Cultists, led by Taen, storm in Gym, riding Kyurem. They claim to want the White Stone, since it is more valuable than anyone else believes! When Taen slaps Orion and tries to steal the ball, Reshiram awakens from it, to protect his friend! Reshiram, in order to not get captured by Perfection or endanger Orion, flees, and so do the Perfection Cultists with Kyurem, to track down Reshiram. However, it returns to Orion after a short while! Harmony returns to her Gym, after apologising for not believing Orion, and Nora says she will return later to have her Gym Battle vs Orion to allow him to catch up with his former-stone friend! Nora also gives us the Instant Lapras, so now we can Surf outside of battle! After all of this action, we head to the South of Suntouched City, into the Suntouched Exit, where we use Instant Lapras to head further South, on our way to Vipik City! We will continue our adventures in the next chapter of my Delta-run of Pokemon Insurgence in Hard mode! Till then, enjoy everyone!
  2. We back in it! Insurgence Delta run in Hard Mode, Chapter 2 -->

    1. LykosHand

      LykosHand

This is a really good news, for real :D

  3. Chapter 2: Early Delta struggles! So, after ages of me not updating, it is time for me to get back into it! (Anyone bored to read can go right into 3rd, 4th and 5th Part, in order to watch the videos ) Ahem, so first of all, after battling our way through Telnor Cave, Lucifer (my Delta Charmander) and I meet again with Damian, who scolds us about being slow , and we happen to overhear two cultists, one silver-haired dressed in blue (presumably Abyssal Cult) and one red-haired dressed in red (could that be Infernal Cult?!) planning the assassination of the second Augur, which is going to be performed by two Cultists, "armed to the brink with the strongest of Pokemon" . Of course, we have to stop this, even though it is obvious that something's fishy about the second Augur. If he's THAT strong and lawful, why does he need to brainwash an entire region into propaganda, like the cultists mentioned about him? Anyways, this could just be the lies of two criminals, so Damian and I run together back to Telnor Town. By the way, let's have a small moment to thank the game for not getting me to walk through Telnor Cave and Shade Forest without Repels again, thank you dear game. Soon after, there we are at Telnor Town, and we go straight to Town Hall, where the Augur has arrived! We waste no time, and Damian shouts(!) in front of the Augur and everyone else that someone wants to murder him. Good job Damian, now the assassins know that we know! I hope that Damian's habit of shouting when he should keep it quiet won't get him into trouble in the future. But anyways, the assassins are dumb enough to reveal themselves, Damian is dumb enough to fight them to save the Augur, even when it is obvious that if the Augur is half as strng as they say, he'll have no problem to defeat two cultists, even if they are "armed with the strongest of pokemon"! Eh, so... We get dragged into it, and forced to battle an Abyssal Cultist, while Damian takes (I suppose) the Infernal Cultist... VS ABYSSAL CULTIST My team was the following one-(poke)man army: Lucifer, the Delta Charmander (Male) Typing: Ghost/Dragon Shiny: No Lvl. 12 Naughty/Spirit Call Scratch Growl Twister Confuse Ray Turns out that the "strongest of Pokemon" is a level 12 Skrelp. No problem for Lucifer in his mightyness! I'll confuse it and kill it easily with Twisters.... WHAT THE HELL! This mother-trucker knows Feint Attack! OK, change of plans. We will Growl it till Feint Attack does nothing, then kill it! Luckily, Lucifer Growls, then survives with 1 HP another Feint Attack (Confuse Ray does jack $h1t) and then we heal. A few more Growls, Twisters and flinches later and it is dead. The second strongest of all pokemon is a level 13 Horsea, which goes down much easier, managing only to Smokescreen and go down to 2 consecutive flinches by Twisters. Augur is saved and magically "transfers the cultists to Helios City, to have a fair trial". By using an incantation. "Vinculorum mortae". My latin isn't perfect, but "mortae" has something to do with death... Well, RIP them. Something's indeed fishy about this Augur... He's a murderer. And he leaves, after inviting me and Damian to Helios City to meet him again. So, Damian and I start our journey, by racing to Midna Town, the nearest Town, to register and attend the Trainer's School, to hone our skills! In the process, we battle some more trainers, I find one more reason to loathe Jigglypuff, we find Midna Garden, and Lucifer evolves! Also, we find a Hiker who wants a Totodile in exchange for the rarest of his 'mons, which might be a Delta! I'll return here. When we finally reach our destination, Midna Town, our one-man army looks like: Lucifer, the Delta Charmeleon (Male) Typing: Ghost/Dragon Shiny: No Lvl. 16 Naughty/Spirit Call Shadow Sneak Growl Twister Confuse Ray This was a much-needed power boost! 3rd Part: Rescuing Augur and reaching Midna Town! After that, I decided that enough was enough, and my Lucifer shouldn't be lonely any longer. That was my decision when I found him outside Midna's Pokemon Centre singing this (in this exact voice as in video): So, it was time for me to claim my Mystery Gift(s). It turned out to be a gorgeous Delta Munchlax! And the Book of Leaves, to change her appearance when I want to! Viva Aldia, the Delta Munchlax (Female) (The name is Gaia at first, but I changed it later, when I realised I could do that in traded 'mons too) Typing: Grass Shiny: No Lvl. 5 Calm/Overcoat Absorb Rototiller After exploring the Town, I got to the Trainer's School and signed myself up! I caught up with Damian, met some more obnoxious students and also registered for the Trainer's School Tournament, after talking with the teacher. However, she told that we'd have to wait for Nora, the reigning school champion, to arrive before we could get started with the Tournament... Which meant that I had to go search for her. Into the menacing Midna Mine! There, I did some grinding, and soon, my Delta Munchlax evolved into a mighty Delta Snorlax! After some more battling versus Trainers as we dug deeper into the Midna Mine, in search for Nora, got Viva Aldia to catch up with Lucifer in levels! 4th Part: Exploring Midna Town and Mine Soon after, we eventually found Nora training with her... Celebi! More specifically, she had Celebi use Tesseract on 4 fossils and successfully Revived Kabutops, Omastar, Armaldo and Bastiodon, which was a bit scary for a moment, till she had Celebi use Tesseract again, hence returned them to the prehistoric time when they lived and thrived. She was scared to realise that I watched all of it at first, but then Aether, my Mew decided to appear and have a playdate with Nora's Celebi! As Nora explained, she was chosen by Celebi like I was chosen by Mew, two of the legendary pixies. She also let me know about an ancient Torren prophecy. This prophecy says that a person chosen by an Illusory Legendary Pokemon (e.g. Hoopa, Celebi, Victini, Mew, etc.) would be the one to find and defeat the Cults. That's why she keeps it a secret that she was chosen by Celebi, and trains in secret as well! First Augur was chosen by Hoopa and defeated half of the Cults singlehandedly, but vanished. Then Jaern appeared and became the Second Augur. Jaern doesn't seem to have such connection with any Illusory Legendary Pokemon. Finally, before we remind Nora of the Tournament, she stresses the importance of not letting anyone know that Mew has chosen me. That's the reason it hasn't joined my team, to protect me from Cults coming to get me! What a clever, adorable, pink lil thing! <3 After this small chat is over, both me and Nora return to the Trainer's School, to get the Tournament going! My team for the Trainer School Tournament was: Lucifer, the Delta Charmeleon (Male) Typing: Ghost/Dragon Shiny: No Lvl. 17 Naughty/Spirit Call Shadow Sneak Growl Twister Confuse Ray Viva Aldia, the Delta Snorlax (Female) Typing: Grass Shiny: No Lvl. 17 Calm/Overcoat Absorb Razor Leaf Growth Bulldoze The first guy (Quarterfinals) was Ninja Boy Kyle, who got defeated really easily. Then, the semifinal was me versus Damian. It was time to take my revenge for the loss I suffered in our first battle! VS RIVAL DAMIAN Damian's Corphish was OHKO'ed by a Razor Leaf of my Delta Snorlax. Then Delta Wartortle resisted a bit, with Bites, Torment and Vaccum Wave, but also went down easily to a combination of Bulldoze (first) and Razor Leaves. Finally, Damian's Luxio was easy for Viva Aldia to handle too, with a Bulldoze and Razor Leaf. I didn't even have to heal for this fight. Or use Lucifer at all. Revenge granted! Then, final was (quite predictably) vs the defending champion, Nora! VS RIVAL NORA Nora's Quilava went down easily to three Shadow Sneaks and a Twister, while tanking an Ember easily. However, Lucifer got his Defence and Accuracy lowered by Leer and Smokescreen respectively, so I switched into Viva Aldia to face Nora's next Pokemon. Which was her Trapinch. Which got outsped and OHKO'ed by Viva Aldia's Razor Leaf. Then, Nora sent in her last Pokemon, her Sewaddle. Afraid of Bug Bite, I switched Lucifer back in. After an exchange of (not very effective) Bug Bites and (neutral) Shadow Sneaks, Lucifer defeated Sewaddle, granting me the victory and the first place in the Tournament! Teacher congratulates me and Nora, we both get TM for Return as a gift for our outstanding performances in the final, and Damian gets roasted and denied any praise or award. Poor guy, I feel sorry for him. He is a nice guy after all! My rivals are quite cool, I admit! Plus (major advantage), not obnoxious at all! Damian is a tiny bit naive, but not at an annoyingly high level! Then, teacher advises us to get to Suntouched City and begin challenging Gym Leaders to get stronger, which Nora finds a good idea, depending on our (pixie-chosen) status! With this done, we access Route 2, where we start our search for a Totodile, to trade with that Hiker we encountered earlier in Route 1! 5th Part: Midna Trainer School Tournament! We will see what we get in the next chapter of my Delta Run of Pokemon Insurgence in Hard mode! Till then, enjoy everyone! And leave your feedback or comments below, or in my Youtube videos!
  4. I agree about Icy Wind. This extends to all speed-lowering moves. e.g. Poison sweep is what I've found really useful for the same reason. Speed drop and good physical poison type move for Nidoran lines that refuse to learn a good poison type move till late game (and Poison Jab/Poison Fang).
  5. In general, Ice Beam. Mostly cause it's more reliable accuracy-wise(100% to 90%). And has 10% chance to Freeze. However, vs teams that might set up (Calm Mind, I hate you), you prefer Frost Breath, because it always crits (if it lands).
  6. And the Insurgence bugs continue... A Smeargle used Geomancy and boosted my stats instead of its! xD

Also, my Sap Sipper Delta Muk got OHKO'ed by Victreebel's Leaf Storm. Way to go, Suzerain... W2G

@Wolfox I never claimed that my Mew is a 'mon that can beat a Nocteam team. Especially one that isn't controlled by an AI.

Nah, after all all I needed was Mew to Taunt/Shift Gear/Calm Mind vs Greninja.

After that, it was Delta Crustle who wrecked house.

This lil pink pixie is awesome. Can carry anywhere!

    4. Wolfox

      Wolfox

That was my issue. no place to grind, no real Pokemon center... Even Ame isn't that cruel....

  8. @Filthy Casual This is very interesting! I like it so far. However, even though you're doing a great job, two objections. 1) You don't trade away the Lord and saviour Bidoof in its holy glowiness of a shiny. 2) If Puccho the Pachirisu is pronounced with a "CH" like in "cheese", better learn that your Pachirisu should never EVER visit Greece, since you legit just called it a dick.
  9. Give Acrobatics to Infernape, instead of the Flame Wheel. Big Top Arena is ahead. Enough said. Also, give Swords Dance to Gallade. Replace Leaf Blade. I'd maybe give Ice Fang to Mightyena instead of Snarl. Taunt can be useful vs stallers too. Turn Swoobat's Ability to Simple and give it Calm Mind and possibly Amnesia too. It will help A LOT. You don't need Heart Stamp and Air Cutter.

  12. I have successfully completed Bug and Poison. Since they are abundant (many are available right after getting your starter-Poison even has a starter-Bulbasaur) and give you a lot of options and strategies, I'd suggest them. Also, with those types, you don't have to "cheat" and get 'mons traded in, as you'd have to do with Ice or Dragon, to give specific examples. Bug is harder. Poison is easier. But Bug needs more thinking, which I personally enjoy. Poison is more straightforward when it comes to overpowering your opponents. Edit: MFW I realize I had already answered in this topic a few posts higher xD
  13. Mightyena! Stats: HP: 70 Attack: 90 Defense: 70 Sp. Attack: 60 Sp. Defense: 70 Speed: 70 Pure Dark, with a base stat total of 420 BLAZE IT, Mightyena is nothing spectacular. But let's look behind the numbers! This magnificent beast is amazing. I don''t even know where to start from. Abilities: Intimidate can cripple down Physical attackers and give you time to Howl up and turn into a menace! Quick Feet can get Mightyena faster than pretty much anything, even Electrodes and turn around the tides of battles! Julia paralyzed my Mightyena one day. She didn't have fun with what followed that decision! Finally, and best of all: MOXIE! This thing only needs to Sucker Punch Shade's Gengar/Corey. Then, it is all over. Easiest battle of my life! Ability Capsules are your friend. Find your strategy and swap to the one that suits the occasion. Mightyena won't disappoint you! Moveset: Where amazing happens. This thing has great moves that can turn it into pure terror if it gets going! Crunch (most powerful, basic STAB), or the more unreliable due to its nature, but handy due to (occasional) priority, Sucker Punch. Elemental Fangs (Poison, Fire, Ice and Thunder) for coverage. Play Rough to cover Fighting types. Anyone thinks that Dark is weak vs Fighting? Let's see how Fighters cope vs a Mightyena's Moxie-boosted Play Rough! And, last but not least, FUCKING IRON TAIL by the Agate Circus Move Tutors. First playthrough of my life in Reborn. After being frustrated by Ciel's flinch-kiss (aka Togekiss), I decide to be illogical and defeat it with a Dark type. Mightyena outspeeds somehow. Maybe it's because it's Jolly with 252 EV and 29 IV in Speed. Iron Tail connects, Togekiss in red. Mightyena tanks Air Slash. EVERY IRON TAIL CONNECTS FOR 3 TURNS. Metronome boosts its power. Ciel wastes all her Hyper Potions. Togekiss goes down. Impossible is nothing. Also, when the offensive moves end, the utility ones start! Thief to steal items (Hello Heart Scales!), or just cripple beasts (I defeated glitchworld Mewtwo in my first Reborn run by Thieving its Leftovers and Sucker Punching it to death-took a few Ethers/Revives, but it worked!). Snarl to cripple Special Attackers. Swagger to cripple Special Attackers even more! Roar to prevent terrifying beasts (like Bennett's Quiver Dancers) from setting up! Howl to boost your Attack. Hell, it can even Yawn and put things to bed early or Taunt stallers like Luna's Umbreon! Again in my first run, Umbreon just went down to my Mightyena after a Taunt and 2 Metronome-boosted Play Rough strikes! Design: It's a damn badass ominous-looking Wolf-dog. With a golden hue, if shiny. Just give peace this beast a chance. You will LOVE it! <3

  15. Silvally isn't even a Pseudo. It's a lesser Mew, based on stat spread. So, I don't see why we wouldn't be able to get it in E17. I think that Ame's decision to not give us any Legendaries before E4 is correct. I never liked the idea of catching Legendaries anyways, they must be something like guardian's of nature, hence free.

  18. @ssbCasper Rename them to the french equivalent. Team Royale. (as we say Casino Royale). It sounds much catchier! The four aces, inspired by what @Noctelis said could be like that: Spades: Steel, or in general teams themed around weapons, warriors and cane-holders. Aegislash, Farfetch'd (stick), Gallade, Scizor, Aggron, Bisharp, Escavalier, Kartana. Diamonds: Rock types, or in general teams themed around Gems. Gigalith, Spoink, Starmie, Minior, Persian, Ampharos, Sableye, Carbink, Diancie (hold/wear gems on them or know moves like Power Gem and Diamond Storm). Hearts: Fairies and love-oriented 'mons. Florges, Luvdisc, Alomomola, Gorebyss, Smoochum/Jynx, Gardevoir, Chimecho, Cresselia, Lumineon, Togekiss, etc. Clubs (aka Clovers): Grass types in general, with a hint of creepiness. Lurantis, Dhelmise, Pansage, Trevenant, Gourgeist, Serperior, Cacturne, Shiftry, Tangrowth. For the King, he must be vulnerable and have some fragile (all or nothing) 'mons. A Shedinja for sure. Possibly a Wobbuffet. And then, he'd have a king squad to back them up. Kingler, Nidoking, Seaking, Slowking, Kingdra, Slaking! Pick any you'd like! Or an only-male team. With Latios for an ace maybe? For the Queen, similar. Only-female: Chancey (with Eviolite please), Vespiquen, Nidoqueen, Salazzle, Tsareena, Kangaskhan, Florges, Lilligant, Jynx, Vullaby, Latias...

  20. Pokemon anime-related rant:

Nice to see that pokemon anime is becoming less and less realistic/clever...

    To explain:

    1) Misty's countermeasure with her Gyarados against Ash's Pikachu is to Rain Dance and Hurricane. Which is perfect, since Flying type attacks aren't very effective vs Electric types.

    2) Ash refuses to take advantage of Rain and hit a super-effective Thunder.

    3) Ash's Pikachu gets trapped in a Hurricane+Rain combined Whirlpool, and escapes by using Quick Attack to climb out of it, stepping on electricity. Cause nothing is more solid and stable than electrons, right?

This erased my thoughts of starting watching Pokemon anime again. Ty for making it a complete joke, everyone.

PS: OK, Gamefreak, we get it, Z-moves defeat Mega Evolution, you can stop the brainwashing now.

    Rant over.

last thing I find worth mentioning- @Wolfox stats barely exist in the pokemon anime. that also means attack and special attack stats dont exist. as far as we are aware, gyarados can launch a hydro pump with just as much power as an aqua tail in the anime. the only exception to this rule are things like alakazam that are obviously less good in physical combat.

I just watched the episode on youtube and the opinions of audience are quite extreme. It's either really great or a disaster. I for one think that this episode is absolutely amazing for both Brock vs what his name & Misty vs Ash. I always put game logic aside when I'm watching the anime because they are not supposed to follow game logic bit by bit. Like how Greninja use Cut or double team in the anime. I remember in BW, Samurott block a thunder attack with its shell. I thought that was brilliant and secretly hoped that we get to do stuff like that in the game.

But that thunder armor thing is still BS. Yu-gi-og could somehow crossover to pokemon world and it would still make more sense than that thing.

My Mew starts spinning as well, in a way that the two Mew trajectories form intertwined circles :)

Look at that, now I'll have to stop her or she'll be all nauseous! :D

Both of them at first seems to be very glad.

After a while, they keep on spinning and spinning and end up hitting each other... : (

Oh well,  What a Chaos this is. :P

Chaos has never been cuter! :D

  23. I think tweaking slightly movesets would be acceptable. For example, X-Scissor instead of Steamroller wouldn't hurt Venipede. Or Poison Jab instead of Venoshock. In Weavile line, Icicle Crash could be a relearnable move, as long as move relearner is relatively late in game. Also, Ice Shard can only be learned by Sneasel, not Weavile by level-up, at lv. 47. This could be changed. I don't see why Weavile couldn't learn a move Sneasel can.
