  1. I'm making it a bit more challenging by using only rodent-like pokemon. Bunnies are included, even though they aren't officially rodents, but close enough!
  2. I used a Defense Curl Simple Bibarel vs Venam. Set up with it, then swept her with a Rollout that hit 5 times in a row. That's when I decided to go to Luck's tent and raise difficulty to Intense instead of Reborn-like. Pity that, when I got Buneary, it was a male one and I can't breed Cosmic Power on it Even this way though, it is a solid attacker, with great speed! And very cute too.
  3. Does a Quagsire have Flame Burst?!!!! Hacker exposed JK, just loved this typo. Well, I am playing in Intense and Marianette was a nightmare to defeat. The answer I found was to evolve my Quilava to Typhlosion, use the only Heart Scale available so far to reteach it Eruption via the Move Relearner at Sheridan village and it OHKO'ed the Bewear. It still was hard, especially that Komala, but I pulled through. PS: Glad you defeated her after all
  4. Mfw I run out of rep points to give, but still wanna upvote everything. Including @Wolfox's suggestion. Great job @Awesome_One! I'd like some screenshots or videos to see the sprites and action for myself, but I still enjoy your updates!
  5. You have to add those links in your signature. Get to the menu that appears if you click on your name from top right. Then go to profile settings. Post the appropriate links in the signature. You will have successfully demonstrated your team
  6. In addition to what @Zarc said, buy a male Nidoran (with Hustle ability, soft reset for this, as it turns to Sheer Force when it becomes a Nidoking) from the Game centre. Wait till it learns Poison Jab at 43 as Nidorino to have something to hit Venusaur too, then Moon Stone it into Nidoking. He will learn Earth Power, which is Special and doesn't get weakened by the Field like physical Ground type attacks (like Earthquake) do. EV train him at Speed and Sp. Attack fully. Have fun sweeping Aya.
  7. Thanks! I found 2 more kids (4 in total) and Maman asked for money to renovate the Camp again. Now it looks just like in your picture and I got those elusive Tamato Berries as well! Now I can go back to EV training my squad!
  8. Well... Title is self explanatory... He sells the other 5 types of friendship/EV reducing berries... But not Tamato... And I can't build my Defensive Pachirisu because of that?... Is this a bug, or intended to work this way?
  9. This is very interesting I enjoyed reading it! If I were you, I'd only use the pokemon James has in the anime, but it's nice to see a different approach!
  10. Indeed I can, but Heart Scales are 1 or 2 in the early game and if you teach Hidden Power to a mon, it is 99% possible that you will stay with it in its moveset for a long time. So, either you do it, test it without saving and (if it's not a good HP type) you just soft reset (which is a pain to do for 5-6 mons), or you just place the appropriate NPC at the proper timing of the game.
  11. No, because you will need to give her the key to her appartment, which is in the Underground Railnet, in the section that is accessible only after defeating Aya (and enabling Strength outside of battle).
  12. I am willing to let the phrase "does the size matter" go unnoticed. On a more serious note, Ame has said on her previous post (I can't locate it now) that, because the super-sized Pumpkaboo is the most relevant competitively, it is the only one implemented in game. So, you can't get smaller sizes... Also, the sizes of Gourgeist affect the base stat distribution. Check following link for details (scroll down to stats). https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Gourgeist_(Pokémon)
  13. Her Machamp though can survive a Psychic (even if boosted by field), and prevents Swoobat from setting up with Rock Slide. Lucario also takes neutral damage by Psychic and will survive one if Swoobat hasn't used Calm Mind. Gotta find the opportunity to set up, since Swoobat's defenses are rubbish, so it will get OHKO'ed by any Physical attack that isn't resisted.
  14. How can you "hunt" Focus Sashes? There is only 1 till Kiki in game, and I'd probably save it for the Garchomp fight, or Dittoceus one...
  15. Well, that's useful! xD With Hidden Power available since pretty much the start (whenever you feel like Voltorb flipping). I'd suggest it got moved to Sheridan Village, similarly to the guy in Apophyll Academy for Reborn. In fact, I'll tag @Jan in this, since it is a genuine suggestion
  16. Hello all! Long story short, I'm too lazy to do the calculation every time I want to check my pokemon's Hidden Power type, so I was wondering whether is there an NPC that saves us from the trouble in Rejuvenation. Oh, and where he/she resides (if such NPC exists). Thanks in advance!

I agree with @Alistair. I'd suggest Hone Claws, which is very good on Drapion. I'd go with Cross Poison/Night Slash/Fell Stinger and Hone Claws/Toxic Spikes. Since you have 2 Ghosts, you will need Drapion to hit opposing Ghosts hard, so, if you use it to set Toxic Spikes you might get it wasted, and yourself uncovered. Also, Trick Room would only help your Noctowl and Goodra, and, even they, aren't the absolute slowest 'mons that exist. Give Goodra the Assault Vest and get Flamethrower instead of Rain Dance and Power Whip instead of Body Slam. A mixed attacking set would be good and you'd be very tanky against Special Attackers.
  18. Rejuvenation Mystery egg just hatched... May the odds be ever in my favour! @Wolfox you will like this ;)

Lucky, though it would have been risky to have both Water/Fairies on my team, even if I did get one.

Zorua was an ok substitute, though I didn't use it since I already used Zorork in my Blaze Black 2 playthrough.

Started Rejuv with Popplio I take it @seki108.

I have never used Zoroark, weirdly enough... Maybe someday! I like the ability :)

Yep, had to start with the new Gen 7 fairy starter.

  19. Jesus Christ, Narcissa's Gym puzzle is impossible. And annoying. Impossibly annoying. AND annoyingly impossible. All together.

Don't remind me, it was the only way Venam could KO any of my mons.

  20. Or... Step 1: Train up a Moxie Mightyena. Step 2: OHKO Gengar with Sucker Punch. Step 3: Sweep.
  21. Thank you @valantisthanasoulis and @Anstane! One is all I need!
  22. Anyone knows where (and if) I can find a Heart Scale before defeating Marianette? Are there any hidden ones that I can find via Itemfinder, or are there any wild Luvdiscs available at that point of the game?
  23. I also stated a way for the jackpot starters to remain without allowing the constant soft-reset. Anyways, I'm sorry if I made a needless post...
  24. You don't have to remove them. Consider putting an autosave after choosing a random 'mon, after which, even soft-resetting will bring you AFTER the 'mon selection. Make something like the Pokepon of Pokemon Insurgence, to prevent F12 from bringing you before the random Pokemon selection. I agree that soft-resetting till you get what you want isn't the reason for putting a random 'mon distributor in. But I liked the idea of grabbing a random one when I can't choose. Maybe find an alternative! Edit: Worst case scenario, keep the random distributor with only the starters.
  25. Certainly! I'd love to read a stronger version of Rejuvenation's weak (imho) story!
