  1. Darius was prepared to use his magic to try and break down the door, but Cadence's efforts being effortlessly absorbed made him drop that idea. "Tch...bastard thought of everything, huh. I don't know if this magic absorption aura on the door is a recent addition or was here for a while, but...eh, doesn't matter. Point is, it seems like we'll need to smash our way through the guards to get out."
  2. Honestly, an Ice Mono is not as hard as people are making it out to be (With a few exceptions, most notably Kiki and the Fern battle right before Aya). Of the four listed, I'd say Rock might be the hardest one, but I voted for Ice simply because it's, by far, my favorite type.
  3. Well, that took a fair bit longer than I thought to get back to this run, but I figured I probably should make some progress before this is forgotten. Chapter Seven: Screw you too, Fern! After we failed to get sweet revenge on Kiki, we were off to go find Cain on Azurine Islands. Now, I know there's a small selection of Water-types that can be gotten there, but, honestly, I didn't really bother searching for any, at least not right now. I admit I just wanted to get this over with. I'll return later to capture what I missed. However, I did encounter and capture one Water-type at least. Anyway, it was time to begin the gauntlet of battles. First of all, Aster and Eclipse. ...I kind of forgot to take any real screenshots of this battle. But, just trust me when I say that it was not even close. Aster and Eclipse just couldn't hold back the assault. Only the Milotic put up a real resistance, but even it faltered. Next up was Taka. Oh, before I forget, this happened: Finally, my whole team is fully evolved. After that, it was time for Solaris. I did not take any screenshots of that because it was a complete failure on my part, so instead I'll just say that this is a pretty funny moment. Anyway, after having my rear handed to me by Solaris, plot happened and we got the Strength TM, finally. All that was left is Aya's badge so we can use it. And for that, we needed Cain's co-operation. For that, he requested one more battle because of course he did. A brief romp through the wasteland later, we arrived in Aya's abode. However, before we can challenge her for the badge, there was one. Last. Obstacle...Fern. And, finally, it was time for Aya. And the team that came this far: And with that, I'm returning to Rejuvenation, so don't expect another update for a little while.
  4. Screw Fern and his demonic Roserade/Ferrothorn combo. Serperior too, but that requires me to actually get that far...

    1. Wolfox

      Wolfox

I guess an ice typefire type is required?

His Ferrothorn ravages Ice-types as I've learned. And this was on a Water Mono, so Fire was in short supply.

Thankfully, though, I was able to - eventually - break Fern. Aya, by comparison, was not a threat.

  5. Alright, I was quite busy with Rejuvenation and still am, but I might go and get to the next Gym Leader on my Water Mono of Reborn.

  6. I'm going to be heading to sleep soon as well, so...for this day, I am going to go with my gut instinct. Eliminate - sailboat
  7. I'll hold my vote back for a little bit, but if we don't get an answer from S. Paul soon, I will have to vote for someone and currently I have two people that I am considering: S. Paul and sailboat.
  8. I'll be honest, I have no clue what to make of sailboat's statements. No offense, but I just got confused by them more than anything else.
  9. How do I get a Dawn Stone? I heard you need to complete the Generator Problems help request in West Gearen first, but what do you do afterwards?
  10. Not a bug, that will become accessible later. Actual bug report: Corrupted Cave field does not activate during the battle with the Rift Garbodor, second battle.
  11. Makes it all the more satisfying for me then that my team had zero Meta mons. Still, grats to everyone who made it to the hall of fame!
  12. As far as I know, no. The one gotten from the Kimono Girls is the only one currently available.
  13. Anstane

    Glaceon

The Icy Rock does not work currently. However, there is a different place that you can evolve Eevee into Glaceon to, which is almost certainly a bug: The house at River's End where you do the Type:Null sidequest. I think you do need to at least get Type:Null before you can enter the building to do so, though...
  14. The battle against Amber has no field. It was supposed to have a Volcanic field, but it was nothing.
  15. I doubt TwinAero faked the silence. As he himself stated, what advantage would he have gotten by faking it day one? I guess technically he could have done it to avoid suspicion, but I doubt that, to be honest.
  16. Happy birthday, Lost! I hope you have a great day today as well as every day to be great!
  17. Ralts is, indeed, inside that machine. You have two options. One is, as mentioned, wait until V9's postgame to gain access to the necessary items. The alternative is to acquire the Cell Batteries and the Metal Powder in a different way. Specifically, Charjabug's on Route 3 have a 5% (20% with CompoundEyes) chance to hold a Cell Battery, while the Ditto from the sidequest has a same chance to be holding a Metal Powder. Bring a Mon with Thief or, ideally, grab the Thief TM in Route 2, grab a CompoundEyes Vivilion, teach it Thief and get to thieving.
  18. For lack of any other evidence, I'm probably just going to bandwagon here. Eliminate: Megagun.
  19. It's event-only for now, but after the fifth (or is it sixth) badges you will be to get it in the wild as well.
  20. No, the Scyther line is not available yet. As for the Metal Coat...unless you want to hope to get one from wild Magnemite, you'll have to wait until you have 7 badges.
  21. I...definitely wouldn't. Alongside Treecko being only available very late (as in, E16 content), it's just not that good, in all honesty, without all the necessary TM's. At the very least, I would definitely keep Swinub, Mamoswine is a monster.
  22. 1) Best place to look for them is either via mining or via stealing from Luvdisc (For which I think you might need the Good or Super Rod, I don't know exactly). And yes, the Move Tutors work like in the main games, meaning you can get AncientPower on Piloswine. 2 and 3) It's purely your decision on what you want to use. There are almost no unviable Pokemon (Unown being probably the only real exception), meaning you can use close to anything you want. And, as for for "legit" you want your run, it's best if you don't use Mons you got from trading until you can get them legit. I don't know where you are story-wise so I can't tell you when you can get them. (You'll be able to get Ralts and Eevee at basically the same time, though). 4) You can battle them as much as you want. They change daily, but are always the same on that day, so the trainers that are up on Saturday will always be the same, but only on Saturdays etc.
  23. The four Jackpot Starters are Eevee, Ralts, Riolu and Jangmo-O.
