  1. I see there is a lot of love for Swanna. I admit I haven't used it myself, but it will be interesting to see for myself just how good it is. Also, sorry for my slow rate of posting, I will be getting back to my run tomorrow, though don't expect a post then, I doubt I'll make it to Corey tomorrow.
  2. 'tis from the Redemption League. Amine?
  3. Tch, missed my call by a few minutes. Divergent?
  4. I don't know why, but I always seem to gravitate towards melee DPS. I main a Retribution Paladin in WoW and have a Rogue and Death Knight alt. I considered trying to tank, but it sounds really intimidating, honestly.
  5. No, just me...sorry for being a letdown... Should I just disappear from here, Hycrox?
  6. That glorious feeling when you ruin your mood 2 hours after waking up and now have to feel crummy the rest of the day.

  7. So, basically, GameFreak simply does not care about Ice-types. Somehow this information completely failed to surprise me. I mean, I have to agree with what is said in the article, but I am not going to just abandon my love for Ice-types because of it. What I want is for GF to finally, finally look at the Pokémon released and actually give them all some damn love. Slush Rush is not really enough of a push and A-Veil might as well be an exclusive move to A-Ninetales. Give the Ice-types already released some more coverage or at least some more speed. Or heck, less speed for some of them, then at least they can be even better in Trick Room. Sorry if that sounded ranty. I'm just sick and tired of seeing Ice-types being shafted from all directions.
  8. A-Ninetales into my Ice Mono team and...that's it, really. Maybe A-Sandslash if I can find a way to fit it in, but aside from that...yeah.
  9. Making it hail is also easier than summoning Ame. Spine?
  10. Okay, sorry for it taking so long for me to get back to this, but I had some real life business to take care of, on top of me needing to do quite a bit of grinding this episode. But now I am able to continue. Chapter 2: When Plants Attack First things first, I went for the Daycare and...well, let's say the trainer with the Plusle/Minun combo before the Daycare couple wannabees was more challenging than the impostors themselves. This is only notable in that, after that battle, Otto evolved. (By the way, I'd like to say that I love Dewott's design, many times more than Samurott.) After that, it was off to battle Victoria before the slums. After that, it was time for an uneventful romp through the Obsidia Slums. The only thing of note to happen in there was the fact that we got a new team member! Meet Louis the Ducklett and I assure you, he'll be much appreciated for dealing with any pesky Grass-types we'll be encountering. Afterwards, it was off to the Coral Ward and, after seeing Cain rescue an Oshawott (I would feel a little resentful if I hadn't picked Oshawott as my starter, so whatever), it was time for another duel against him. At this point, I would be heading towards the first PULSE Tangrowth battle. However, I also knew I can get Lotad in the area. However, it requires rain. E16's weather is messed up. So I asked for some help with that and, soon enough, I got a Lotad. (Yes, I'm bad with names, thanks for noticing.) After that it was time for the PULSE Tangrowth...or at least it would have been, however, I got ripped apart quickly. So it was time for the first of two grinding sessions this episode for me. After a lot of fighting the same trainer over and over again, as well as Louis being trained up properly, it was time for the rematch. And then, it was off to the Onyx Ward. Before we went for the school, though, we went to see if we can grab ourselves a Seel. The egg was a Cacnea. Undeterred, I asked around if I can trade the Cacnea for a Seel. I did, but the Seel I got was...not what I hoped to get. Too many perfect IV's! Ah well...it's only one Pokémon. It shouldn't cause too many problems...I hope. Anyway...with that done, it was time for Onyx School. The trainers under Fern's command...were a bit annoying (Thank you Fire Fang Darumaka), but otherwise not too bad...and then we got to the top dog himself. Finally, it was time for Florinia. This is going to be a very rough battle for my Water Mono ag-erm, Florinia...why does your team only have two Grass-type attacks, Leech Seed not counting? Louis and Goofball were the aces this battle, inflicting heavy damage and evading damage. I had hoped for Otto to deal with Cacnea, but two Fury Cutter misses ruined that possibility, alongside Gild and Lotus. However, overall, the battle was not that difficult. Now if she actually had Grass-type attacks, this would have been much nastier. And with that, the second badge is ours, as well as Water's second weakness cleared. From here on out, it should be smooth sailing...right? ahahah i wish The team at the end of episode 2: Thank you all for reading.
  11. Well, these were a rough last few days. Hopefully when I finish up today I'll be able to get back to my Water Mono...

Good luck man, I'm looking forward to your post!

  12. No...it's just me. Sorry to be a disappointment. Spine?
  13. "By itself, dark magic is not that different than other types of offensive magic. It's mostly in how the spells are made manifest, namely, how different the Elder Spirits are compared to Anima spirits. Namely, just how...aggressive, coercive the elder spirits can be and the horrific effects that they can have, from simple whispers to downright possession of one's body to..." Darius breathes for a moment. "...having your very being lost to the spirits, becoming little more than a shell, a husk that exists, eats and breathes, but not really living. This is the danger us dark magic practitioners have to deal with every day, or at least that's what my old mentor taught me." the shaman admitted, though how much of that was true and how much was just an attempt to scare him, he did not know.
  14. "If there is an institute for students of Dark Magic, I am not aware of it. Because of our...less than stellar reputation, so to say, most practitioners are either self-taught or were taught by a lone master, such as in my case" Darius sighed out. His memories of hope and, then, betrayal making themselves manifest.
  15. "Not...really, to be honest, unless you count how I was picked up by my mentor and tutored as interesting." he spoke out, a bit sheepishly. He did have some other stories that might be counted as interesting, but they were not such that he would enjoy sharing...
  16. As Darius was gazing out over the ocean, he was able to hear Helena speaking to someone. He snapped to attention and looked over in her direction and saw her talking to the nomad. Having nothing better to do but a desire to keep his mind occupied, he walked over to them and joined in on the conversation. "Hey, guys. It was quite a battle that we just came away from, huh...good job there, both of you." he spoke out, not really knowing a good way to initiate a conversation.
  17. Darius stared out into the wide blue sea over the railing of the ship, on the opposite side of Madante. He had no desire to partake in sampling the wines as his mind was focused on figuring out a few things, chief among which: Why did the spirits suddenly gain such a vested interest in him? Not only the displays of power, but the spirits just felt...easier to command, almost like they want to be commanded. Why, though? These thoughts swirl in his mind as he looks out into the sea, a look of confusion and worry on his face.
