"I had found it in one of the libraries on Avalon. It was tucked away in a silent corner, gathering dust. I noticed it, almost like I was meant to find it. Maybe that's what attracted my mentor to me, the fact that he noticed me studying a tome of dark magic. On the surface he seemed just like any normal person, albeit scrawnier then most. Who knows how many people are there with talents, magical skill out there that we simply don't recognize because they don't dress or act stereotypically...as for the book, with any luck, it should still be the library. If we get to Avalon, we might as well look for it." Darius explained.

Ah, I missed the "For Challengers" clause. Alright. I'm not going to debate the rankings, I will leave that to someone who actually knows what they're talking about. But as far as I can see, so far so good.

I presume any that did not make the list are under the "Too weak to even be considered for usage", which is funny considering Nick uses Emolga almost all the time yet it's nowhere on these lists. Then again, yeah, Elec really doesn't have many options and it needs everything it can get against Ground. Also, I would say that I'm a little sad that Glaceon's low, but then again, it's on the same tier as Typhlosion which sees some amount of play, so it's like "...huh. Maybe it's not that bad". Overall, though, nice list. Good work.

"I was thinking of checking up the general goods store, I was thinking of getting a second vulnerary. It never hurts to be prepared. After that...I don't know. I was thinking of getting something to eat, something better then the rations we've been given on the boat trip." Darius spoke as the two of them made their way outside in search of the general goods store or the closest equivalent.

"My mentor, for lack of a better term, was a master of Dread magic, so that was what I mostly focused my studies on. Aside from that, Druidic magic just feels...a little too specialized. I tried using them before and while I can't doubt they can be useful in specific circumstances, it's just too exposing..." Darius explained. "As for ancient magics...I guess I just never quite got the appeal of them, I guess."

The shaman perused the tomes available for purchase, but ultimately saw nothing of note that he would want to buy. "Hm...quite a few Druidic tomes, but not much from the Dread school..." he spoke as he turned to Helena. "Anything here that strikes you fancy? Otherwise I thought to look for a general goods store, see what's available there. Maybe a spare vulnerary would be good to have..."

The boat journey was a little unexpected, but not unwelcome, considering it beat spending a month or even longer on Irvetos. At least there weren't any troubles this time. Upon hearing the captain's words, Darius decided to just go explore the town, hoping to find both a magic store and a generalist store. If nothing else, it's worth checking if there's anything worth getting, he thought.
