    Hmm I was thinking about playing this at some point but I'm honestly kind of put off at this point. maybe I'll just follow this instead. Story and gameplay pacing both look kinda bad if you're starting with legendaries, pseudo legendaries, top tier TMs/held items and mega stones being handed to you in the the first episode, characters and writing don't give good first impressions, recolored reborn characters but with yellow hair isn't a good sign, and while that forest background is nice, I think it's just a photo/artwork converted to a lower resolution so it looks kind of out of place, and the other battle backgrounds are just generic colour ones. The overworld tileset does look quite nice, though again there appeared to be a bit of quality mixing which is sometimes a tad jarring.

    NICE. Fits perfectly with Honedges pokedex entry about it draining the life of people who hold it. 1/50 might be a bit too tedious if you have to go heal after every 7/8 attempts, as even 50 tries only gives a ~64% chance to get it, and there's no real challenge, just repeated attempts. maybe as a slightly different idea, have a 'wild' pokemon guarding the area as a boss (a-la klingklang/beartic/etc), then have it always work on the 7th try to reward the trainers persistence? (and have the count reset if they leave the cave to go heal)

    Maybe one of them could be in the dark basement of blacksteam factory in peridot? there are a bunch of generators and stuff down there.

    Neat, glad I could be helpful. Are you doing anything with mons that already have an event in the lategame? (goomy, deino, beldum, rotom etc)

    A few random ideas I quickly thought up that may or may not be good. - Ferroseed as a gift from florina after helping her with something (maybe ferns gang are causing problems at the school) - Gible could be somehow incorporated as a reward for beating Solaris at the volcano (if it's doable in the mod) - Honedge could have some kind of master sword/sword-in-the-stone reference as a sidequest - Scyther could have some kind of quest for cutting down teleporting trees blocking up crysolia forest or something

    Just a thought, would this be compatible with anything currently in the mod market? I'd doubt it because things all seem to edit the same files. I.E I was interested in trying out that custom battle theme pack, but as I was playing hardcore, I'm pretty sure it would break stuff as it overwrites trainertypes.dat (BTW I assume the mod market is where the new thread for this will be once a release is ready?)

    They used to be buyable in E15 from memory, but they can still be farmed from the rebattleable clown fairly easily.

    Will things break if a Hardcore save is loaded in normal Reborn, and then loaded back into Hardcore after a save in normal? or will it just sort of 'store away' the Hardcore exclusive stuff til it can be utilized again?

    So is there a good analysis of the 'fortune' around here somewhere? also bag sorting by type would be nice so things like plates, gems, applications etc were nicely grouped together

      Reborn this time, though I'd be interested in discussing rejuv's one too. I have them roughly down on a stickynote on my desktop and I'd be interested to see what other people make of them

    The Bike is actually pretty early, about 3 gyms in I think. Fly is a quite important progression point so it makes sense where it is, and really isn't necessary while in the city the speedup is pretty good so yea that's probably just your computer

    So with the new Mod Market forum area, where do threads that relate to those mods go? should they be in the mod market too, or still just in Reborn City? (I.E my party member guide for the Reborn Hardcore Mod)

    The machine that needs the items is just an optional thing for a pokemon (ralts I think). If you just saved Amber in the lower area of Valor mountain, you now need to climb to the upper reaches to continue the story.

    IMO Insurgence's strength is that it has lots of fun gameplay features, and while the writing is maybe not great, its good enough to enjoy they game if you aren't overly critical. Pretty strong on the music and graphical fronts too (though obviously not on the level of the 'newer generation' fangames in development currently using newer essentials versions) Overall a lot of work has gone into it and 1.2 seems worth at least one full playthrough.

    It just freezes for a bit, should go back to normal after 5-10 seconds? I've had this too. I think it's because a bunch of time-based events are tied to the Opal ward I think? (including probably the abomination that is the weather)

    Update: Beat the Mansion sequence, (took down Sirius as Julia so was able to go into Solaris with my own team quite healthy) and then Ceil was comparatively tame (and the first alternate fight I've done in a while) so I now have Fly and am back in the City! Haven't had time to explore around and do stuff yet, and I need sleep, but I did go around and get pictures for Julia and Florina, as well as all of the hidden mons that have been reported but had no pictures for yet. We have over half of them now! Also went and checked the secret tutor with the new party members, but Aya, Cal, Julia and Florina seem to not get any moves from him (or it's bugged?)
