  1. It would take a while to do it myself, so is it possible for you to get a 5IV chinchou (modest if possible)? I lack a good Water-2 parent for breeding myself atm, and Lanturn might be handy for Amaria. If you want something specific in return (like a torchic), I can see if I can give you something decent in return. Also, Pokerus isn't necessary, I've contracted it on some mons.
  2. On the old forum, there used to be a thread with all the in-game interviews of leaders (and others). For some reason I can't find it how hard I try. If it's gone, I suggest listing them here (iirc, Amaria wasn't included though). If not, a link to the thread would be very appreciated.
  3. And the quoting system is borked...oh dear. So responding to your post about releasing tons of stuff...it would be nice for some in-game possibility to give mons you want to release to (new) trainers or so. After all, that's basically what I kinda do with bred mons in Wonder Trade. A lot of Beldums were transferred... I wouldn't even mind getting no reward, just the knowledge they're in safe(r) hands is good enough. Or maybe explaining that 'releasing' mons is a safe thing to do for those (as it is an automated way to put them in a good environment/new trainers' hands). But this is a problem in any pokemon game due to the mechanic. Besides, if you do events right, you can get the IV-breeding tools (Power Items, Destiny knot) around the time you fight Shelly, even though they are expensive. That decreases the number of released mons quite a bit. As for thing specifically in reborn...imo it does some things a little bit too harsh. Especially a specific E16-spoiler could've been done a bit milder while having the same shock-value and message. It is rather mild, as, to me, in many situations the violence seems well-justified from a story-aspect, and not quite just for the sake of violence. But when it feels overdone, it sticks out in a poor manner.
  4. Wasn't triggered, just pointing out that Infernape is more versatile which can have its advantages. I run Blaziken anyway, since it was my very first starter. And Emboar still isn't very good even when you find it, it's just too slow to not be ransacked by field boosts. For fire-type, it also has to compete with Arcanine and Houndoom, which you can get (way) earlier and at least match it (not sure about Camerupt). Or if you're (un)lucky, it also has to compete with Ninetales which can have auto-sun. For fighting-type, you can get Toxicroak, Pangoro, Sawk, Hariyama or Breloom if you're lucky, at which point Emboar only has its typing left to stand out.
  5. Slugma has Flame Body, which is a godsend in this game if you breed mons for whatever reason. Iirc. it is the earliest mon that has this ability by far. So, at least it has a use (plus Magcargo's give much exp and are encounterable reliably). Not everyone wants to play the game on easier mode by picking the uber. So it is maybe better to judge the mons for whenever they appear besides the starter selection. Also Chimchar learns Nasty Plot and the line gets Mach Punch and Close Combat, plus it has higher speed on the first turn and can act more as a pivot than Mega Ultra Chicken. So it has plenty to distinct itself. Bashing on Patrat is a bit too easy, so I'll vent a bit over Dugtrio. Great ability and speed, but everything else is lacking, especially with the amount of double battles you'll face in the game. Instead, you can get Mamoswine way earlier which is really damn good in this game (if bred Icicle Crash on it, coming from Beartic upon evo at 37. Cubchoo is caught in the same area btw). Powerful, impervious to weather, still modest speed plus priority and, most importantly, Mist at level-up, which overrides (almost) every field so you can EQ as much as you desire. Also Bunnelby which is even stronger (if patient, with EQ) and has decent priority as well. Compared to those two (and with tutor moves and TMs scarce), Dugtrio just doesn't have as much going for it imo.
  6. Jolly Flygon with (Rock Slide and) EQ pretty much swept her for me (also had a Crobat to OHKO that Volcarona quickly). Be sure to keep Trapinch unevolved until it learns Supepower for all the good moves (EQ included).
  7. Planet Coaster...has some issues, tho.
  8. No prob. There's a similar thing in the magma-ey Sheridan village caverns (the last time I've played, Think Shadow Mewtwo) where you had to do the same thing. Also, if you have any trouble in the future, it is advised to save close to the problem. Teila Town isn't very far from Valor, but crossing the distance is a bit tedious and takes a bit more time...
  9. I'll try to double check to see if there's no way out (But Steam Eruption? That's Awesome!) But first...I'll post a bug on my own. I've recently bought a new computer (Windows 10 compared to my windows 7), but now the screen is pretty much entirely black in the beginning (including every menu accessible, besides text) except an initial white-out before Zorua and Pancham. Is this normal? If not, how to solve it? Should I just redownload it? EDIT: it is for all fanmade games I have (e.g. Reborn). I guess it's the way they got on this computer I guess (and some compatibility issues I reckon). REDOWNLOAD COMMENCE! SOLUTION: You have to go to one of those pillars and use Rock Smash on them. That way, the gaps get filled with falling rocks...
  10. Well, watch the emoji move and you'll probably get rid of the latter. Not sure you want to do that to yourself, though, life is difficult enough as it is right for you now from what I've read Perhaps specifying certain necessary requirements for the dev spots might help getting the right people together. Being adept/having RPGMaker (iirc.) and some rough time requirements might be something to start with? Makes it easier to manage applications. As for the posts...They were probably just really anxious for its release (why wouldn't they be?) Don't push yourself like that the next release, okay? And don't worry about talking about stuff, there's always (I believe) someone that wouldn't mind listening on the forum. (The believe part is because I've been away from it myself for months as well, so I need to be filled in as well :/ ) Also... (sees spoiler) Yep, now people will get anxious again
  11. Have you tried playing around with the crystals? The event should make all the small cystals of that type (Red I think) interactable, changing the caves and trainers. Perhaps you can advance with the correct changes.
  12. It is something minor, but the way the 'character'-webpage is structured, having 20 gym leaders (not 18) and all the 'bad guys' in a special section, might be considered a spoiler on its own. I don't know for who that page is supposed to be that way in that case? The questionmarks are redundant for people caught up with the story, so I reckon it's more of an introduction to people interested in playing the game. Perhaps putting the two 'reserve'-gym-leaders in the ???-category might throw some people new to the game off with their predictions? And it would technically still make sense, as they're technically no leaders until story. Otherwise Fern and Blake would fit as well in that category...
  13. Hey, I noticed rebornevo.com can't be securelyu connected to (no https). Not being able to do so can possibly lead to passwords being collected or accounts being hacked iirc. Maybe that should be changed?
  14. Holiday season? It is the month of misery here (1st semestrial finals at uni). The prospect of at the end of it having sat on my ass for nearly two months because of it makes it even worse. But hey, at least I have ten pounds of chocolate now, even though I struggle to eat even one of it.
  15. So Melia and Venam have their dance-off in Kakori, and I'm clueless how to progress. Help? EDIT:Nvm, found the disco dude in the forest.
  16. Thank you, Vincent, for the amazing level 1 Chandelure! I was planning to train one, but this is even better! EDIT: Also thanks Alain, for that wondrous Volcarona. My god it's majestic.
  17. Just sent a shiny Beldum holding a Blue Moon Ice Cream in WT. Good luck getting it
  18. If I'm correct, only five non-mega steel-types outspeed Excadrill. Since two of them are legendaries (Dialga and Genesect), I suppose I won't see those. That leaves me with Lucario, Klinklang and Durant, which are all rather troublesome (on this field) for the mole. I haven't found a choice scarf in the game, so I guess that's probably no option. However, atm there is no sand setter (nothing with Sand Stream, iirc. I suspect we can get the hippo in the near future). So there's no good way the guy could outspeed any of them. It does mean that atm, Mold Breaker is the best ability anyway, although that is very likely to change later. SD gets a massive boost in the field, tho. Probably my best way to tackle it is change the field (Amplifield Rock Mist Mamo, likely) + add entry hazards, then switch Blaziken in for glory. Maybe teaming Excadrill up with Chandelure might break her, if it can carry a field-changing move (like Mist) that can hit her. Although it doesn't outspeed those three either, plus even if it wore a choice scarf, Bisharp terminates it anyway. It does get Haze, but with its bulk it's rather risky to use it on the flame. Delphox also seems a good option (Magician boost), but it can't really capitalize on it since it can't change the field iirc (plus doesn't outspeed Durant). I suspect she'll go for Mega Scizor based on rumour, but M-Metagross and M-Lucario would be way worse for me (especially the former). I could set up Sticky Web, but she can at least run two hazard removers, so gah. Fire Punch Hawlucha is maybe somewhat left field, but it might work. It doesn't appreciate Rock Slides or Zen Headbutt, and I doubt its power (92 base attack isn't much against some of the biggest tanks) is plenty.
  19. We do care, I was delighted when I got a Shiny Metagross, but even bad mons aren't necessarily worthless. I mainly send in the mons I got through IV-breeding (so either dual egg-group and/or decent mons), so they have a couple perfect IVs.
  20. You know, having many mons of many different trainers makes the prizes you get in the Game Corner lottery much better...I kept some bad mons just because of that, saves me thousands. So not all trash mons are worthless...
  21. They're not hard, you just have to Git Gud. (But seriously, the difficulty is one of the points of Reborn. As Commander said, be glad you're not playing (his) Hardcore version. Also there are a bunch of Flying-types you could get and you could get onix which learns Stealth Rock, crippling (especially) her (stronger mons) on the switch)
  22. So, I thought Excadrill might be an interesting mon to send that person packing have as counter in said conditions. There are multiple options though, so I'd wonder what you think would be optimal. So, to sum it up: what would be better against a Steel team on the Fairy field, assuming every possible matchup: a Mold Breaker (and possible Choice Scarf if we find it) set, a Swords Dance (Sand Rush) set? Something else? (I might want to raise a Trapper Magnezone for this one, too, but that's off-topic and really time-consuming to get the right IVs for)
  23. There'se a guide thread specifically for finding EV training spots. Also Bouffalant on Route 1 (interactable) net 2 attack EVs.
