  1. ...But I already have one... I'm glad you're doing this, I was afraid as well nothing would happen (or even worse/better?, a Budewening, although that would more likely happen on April 1st...)
  2. Don't worry, it is definitely worth it. But that last puzzle was indeed tricky.
  3. That was a long time ago, tho, and many TM's it liked weren't available either at that time (TM breeding didn't help though). Difficulty has been consistently smoothed over the length of the game, so I doubt it would be at an early place for long if Ame decided to put it there. I find having it in a new area much more likely, since it also gives more creative liberty regarding the side-quest leading to it.
  4. Well, since Mimikyu is a strong force in OU, the chance Ame will put such a capable mon available that early in the game, even amidst type disadvantage, is absolutely minimal. It's much more likely that it will be an new event in an E17-area. So guess what kind of event it'll be
  5. Aegislash's defenses, even in Shield Form, can be overwhelmed by strong attacks (especially now that Z-moves exist), like how I nearly KO'd one (evenly leveled) with an unboosted EQ from Mamoswine while it was in Shield Form; Additionally, Reborn has field effects that can really mess with damage outputs, making taking hits even more tricky (there are a lot of Ground-, Fire-, Dark- and Ghost-boosting fields). Also Shadow Sneak is a weak move, so if it doesn't KO, your blade is completely exposed to a counterattack. Even at +2 it can't guarantee a lot of KO's. The guy is a mon of predictions and mind-games. Sure, you can slaughter you opponent with it in theory, but if you guess wrong you can easily be a mon down for nothing in return. And I doubt everyone playing this game is a top-tier pokemon player that can make the most of it. I certainly am not. (Not to mention AI's can be ...quirky, so predicting it can have its problems.)
  6. Is it possible for, when someone registers a new account on the forum, have them automatically and directly receive a message that, for example, says: "Welcome (blah blah)...Introduce yourself at the Grand hall for a warm welcome! Be sure to check out the FAQ for any questions regarding the next episode's release date, forum guidelines etc..." ? Maybe that might mitigate the amount of people needlessly asking for the release date and guide them better into the community? (Or maybe that's already the case. I've been here for a while so I wouldn't know.)
  7. ^PULSE Fern. Optimized to annoy us as hard as inhumanely possible. I'd rather beat a team of lv100 Arceus Formes.
  8. If mentioning Bastion, Transistor should get mentioned too (same studio, 'similar' gameplay).
  9. Depends on what you have played already. But as earlier said, it might be better to wait until sales (or E17).
  10. Don't forget Amaria, too. I suggest going through the Field Effects and see how to get past them. Mist Mamoswine is something that has saved my butt countless times, for example.
  11. I have a ton of "leftover"-pokemon with fair amounts of perfect IVs (although not perfect 5IVs...most of them are 4 IVs), but the people above will probably have better ones. (I'm only available on weekends too, tho). So your best bet is asking them. If you're still unaware of it, breeding male 5IV dual-egg group mons first might save you a lot of time and practical issues if you ever consider adding new members to your team. For one of a few instances, Bidoof is actually useful for example (Water1/Field). @Zarc I don't really know where you got the idea of being portrayed as the "bad/mad guy" (didn't read the "rant")...From what I read, I think he just wants to be able to do what you do instead of having to constantly ask your help, possibly overloading you. No need to add weight to it.
  12. Not-collect-a-ton-wise: I suggest getting something that can handle sand, as we're likely heading into the desert (unless Ame pulls a massive surprise on us). Particularly ground-types might be interesting in case of Hardy or Titania. (e.g. Excadrill is obtainable if you look hard enough.)
  13. Ah. So you're now going to the region I'm almost through. Well, good luck with all those deltas, as there are probably more in this part of the game than you've seen up to this point although they're not as easy to get. I'm not sure if all they do is giving statistics, I only know those are certainly depending on it. It is possible they actually are also sending data on what teams those trainers hold. For balancing (or tweaking the difficulty), it would technically be easier to change the team on the server and have that sent to players when taking on those trainers rather than constantly create updated versions containing rebalanced teams. Still a nightmare if you can't guarantee a decent server, but really convenient if you can. I'm not a developer on it, so I don't know how reasonable it is to remove/alter some parts of the server-connectivity requirements. Therefore, I'm personally rather reserved on criticizing it until I'm amply informed. It is rather painful to have the game break down during mandatory parts, though. That should have been considered in the first place. EDIT: Apparently, if you disconnect from the internet before starting, the game works fine in these spots as long as you don't have an internet connection. Peculiar, but I'll take it. Now, what to do after Gaea Core...
  14. Not quite, since some get more offensive/defensive abilities/types/movesets in their Delta-version. Like for example Sap Sipper (Dragon) Goodra vs. Water Absorb (Water/Ground) D-Goodra. So while the former could prefer an offensive-boosting one, the latter has more tanking-like features. The online elements are iirc. for e.g. data outside the gym ("It took the average player X times to beat the gym"), I'm not sure how the game would be able to store the data you create when you fight those to send later to the server, so that's going to be hard to solve...it's just really annoying that they can't get a reliable server to handle it. If you know everything about deltas, do you know how to get that small one hanging around the Holon Undercavern in it's own "elevated pool"? I have no clue how to scale it, nor which one is sitting there.
  15. It functions, but on important battles (like leaders) it doesn't (and Rope-boy is rather important I guess). It's also annoying that I can't look up the delta pokemon to see what kind of nature would be the most interesting (so I can pick from my armada of Synchronize Abras...) because of it... The worst part is there's no idea when when it will get its act together...
  16. Welp, my game keeps crashing during the dialogue after the trainer battle in Gaea Core (at the point where the female colleague says "Hope you don't turn traitor like SPOILER" or something). Has this to do with the servers being sh*te again?
  17. If you want more compelling rather than fun RPG(-ish) games, you could go for This War Of Mine or Lisa the painful RPG. There are maybe interesting suggestions in this vid:
  18. Congrats! Wish you well, and may you have the best team to aid you!

  19. To be fair, you're right in thinking that I don't have experience with game-making. I do know it is a lot of work, but I wondered if how the load of development would be spread. If Jan is looking for two-three developers to spread the workload over, how much time is spend by each person might be different from when it is spread over a dozen for example (not that those numbers are necessarily realistic, they are just for illustration). Not everyone can assure they have tens of hours per week on hand in the future (In my case surprise projects/labwork in college), but they might have a couple hours spare to help with minor parts. Or a very variable schedule might mean they have loads of time for some weeks, then little in others. If that would be too erratic or insufficient to properly rely workload on, then I think that might be good to know. This is all from someone who has no experience in this, so I might just be rambling about something that would be obvious for someone that does. This applies for the rest of the post as well, it is likely that I'm wrong on multiple occasions. If Jan wants to rely on people with decent experience (which would make sense), then he could ask for example to submit something to see if they're up to snuff. That might already be what's happening in PMs, so yeah. And also in this case, it is possible that it is better that people who are ill-experienced with the program don't apply, regardless of how excited or dedicated they are since struggling with (relatively) new programs can possibly take up loads of time as well. Also, sometimes there are things you can't do, no matter how dedicated you are to them. You might call bullshit on that, but nobody has learned to live without eating anything and not die of starvation/deprivation, even though some people like to disagree (it's thermodynamically impossible...) no matter how much they wanted it. So knowing if those things are feasible seems rather important to me, and with a program I have never used I can't judge that properly. (Also what version of the program is used? I would guess XP but idk much about this...) I don't have the program, so I couldn't know how intuitive it was nor if I am capable of handling it. Personally, I only have some rusty-okay experience with Python, which I guess might not be quite the same since it is rather fundamental programming. Given this, if that program is rather graphics-oriented (creating tilesets, sprites etc.; for lack of a better word) rather than code-oriented, I might have a bad time with it since I'm quite bad anything that requires drawing. Imo it would suck for everyone to apply for something, then realizing you're a drag on the team. Personally, if I want to help, I want to be sure I'll be actually helping.
  20. ^ I think there are many people wou would like to help, but doubt if they're capable to do so. That's why I think it is important for Jan to submit some qualifications to give a general idea of what capabilities applicants would need for specific roles.
  21. Yup, that's the on. It never shows up in my searched results, even if I type in the exact name...Amaria has yet to be added, tho. It doesn't show up in-game for me and apparently she went savage on Ame.
