in my opinion, a good starting move for that would be to remove the "shift" battle mode in that mode. from there, i believe balancing the in-game fights might become easier. I haven't played any other mode so i don't know how things are there, but at least intense mode should at least force you to have quite a variety of trained pokemon rather than just 6-7 standard pokes. I reached until Crawli with just my standard team of Greninja / Noctowl / Cherrim / Vivillon / Houndoom / Noivern. Only after Crawli i decided to also train a Trevenant and a Carbink (yeah im a hipster who likes to try some forgotten pokemon) And i believe that is saying a lot, since Noibat was a dead weight until Crawli, Noctowl and Cherrim being just hipster choices of mine, and Greninja having movepool problems. Of course many fights were hard, and i got beaten a ton of times against some leaders, but i was still able to do it in the end. I could see that i could meet the conditions to beat them without having to find and train extra pokemon. The only time in the game that i felt really hopeless desperate and thought i might need to start all over, was when i got stuck in Marianette's mansion, getting my ass kicked hard, and unable to catch any extra pokemon to help me against her. (excluding one patch of grass with nothing special). But even then, after a millenia, i managed to meet the conditions to beat her by abusing her using hyper potions on a Sleeping slaking while i was getting free turns spamming Echoed Voice with Noctowl, until it finally killed it and everything after it. Amber was the first double battle gym leader in the game. And it was a good choice. If she was a single battle, i wouldn't have lost 10 years of my life there. More specifically, Vivillon would have swept that gym by setting up on the 1st pokemon, or just using Powder But with 2 pokemon hitting it at the same time, the Powder plan fell short. In the end all of my pokemon failed to do anything relevant, (greninja was outsped and KO'd by typhlosion lol). If Houndoom did not have flash fire, i miiiight have been forced to make huge team changes there. Generally i think all battles should be doubles in intense mode. It forces you to play more strategically. Crawli and Valerie can agree to that after being both swept by a Vivillon... hell, i even swept 4 of the electric gym leader's mons with Vivillon despite being part flying. Don't get me wrong. It is hard. but there is room for sooo much more Anyway, looking forward for v8. This game is very damn interesting. Where do you even get all that inspiration and creativity?

I guess this is something strict and has to be left intact because of old Reborn League? (which i know only by reading in these forums) Considering that the people who were representing each type were competent and kinda hard to beat without good preparation, shouldn't that mean that his Gigalith was actually a pain in the ass back then? Or the problem is actually that the AI cannot make use of those Pokemon and team compositions in general because of its limitations?

nevermind. i just became aware of the existence of the Purify Chamber at PC ... and did a little search about that. dammit though, not all of us have played Pokemon XD to know how these things work by defailt....

reply of the reply > well it seems it is, since you did not see it at v6 and i did at v7. but all's good you can just press new game, watch the intro up to the point you recognize and then reset.

Yeah sorry for that But that machine (and the shrine) only has the option to turn a shadow pokemon into a normal one. How do you fill the machine with normal pokemon so that you can "max its tempo" for beldum to be able to be purified?

I think you should rename the "titled" into "tilted" on this run

It is a single player game. Therefore you should play it in the way that it gives you the greatest satisfaction. You waste precious time of your one and only life on this after all. For example, I decided to play Reborn, the way the creator meant to be played. Which is, use what is available at the given update. Strong Pokemon got axed so that future episodes provide a better (from Ame's point of view ofc) experience to the player through (usually) increased difficulty. The change in breeding TM moves was not Ame's intention, but it SURELY added to the game's difficulty, so its another win for Ame. The only person that I'm going to cheat by reverting to previous episodes for my convenience, or by using glitches (strength, thief on allied trainer), is my own self. Because when i started, i decided to play the game in X way. By cheating it is not that way anymore. Therefore i have already lost to a moment's weak-willed decision. Same as other games. I start to play Doom 3 lets say with no cheats, and on the way i used some infinite ammo cheat or something. Well duh, the creators don't give a damn they even created those cheats themselves. I just lost to myself by being too weak to keep my original goal. In my original run, the only not-intended thing i've done is that i reverted to a previous episode to access the 9th floor of dept. store to get dream eater tm, and buy some PP UPs. But at that point i thought it was a bug that i could not do it at episode 15, because the I had earned the damn sticker! And the area was there in front of me! Just a silly man was standing in my face! And I heard by reverting to a previous episode you get him out of the way. (kinda like a way around the bug until it is fixed). So yeah after i explored more of the forums over the months, I realised that the shop block was intended and not a bug. So now i kinda feel guilty of that already. But im too weak-willed to un-learn Dream Eater from my butterfree and used the PP ups already. So yeah i have to live with that.... Oh and i also use SpeedHack because it just makes things happen faster without giving u an advantage over your enemies... im a busy person after all!

Rejuvenation Ask Your Questions: Quests and Pokemon/Item Locations

so, uh, it seems saving the move relearner (and getting Inkay) was a really bad idea since now the "proper" move relearner is busy teaching a class rather than being there 24/7 like the "noob" one? -
where did you find pinsir , venipede and joltik so early in the game?

This custom move called Douse, is a water attack of 70 power. And you get it at about same point as you get Surf, which has 90 power. Does it have any secondary effect which is worth the moveslot? Otherwise i don't see a point creating a move that will never be used since Surf exists. Except if maybe it has a wider distribution which makes it available to pokemon that cannot learn surf... -
phantom force does not damage targets that have used protect

Goodness.... i now know why certain parts of the game are so sadistic You want to share with the fanbase some of your suffering, by making them also develop psychosomatic symptoms from eternal soft-resetting of certain fights (Charlotte?) :D Jokes aside, , you apparently exaggerated overworking yourselves on this, and your body itself gave the warning. Now that u are trying to live a bit of a more balanced life, things might turn out better on the long run, for your health, lifestyle, and the quality of the work on this project too, even if it goes on a slower pace than before. So good luck on your stuff, and try to not stress yourself yo!

ah i guess im late to answer. i would just suggest to mine like crazy until u get those rock/water fossils to at least take neutral damage from water

the most brutal part is that you get through all this crap for a goddamn ledyba :@:@ i already hate Zumi P.S. still nothing its tragic -
This is just me sharing my little experience, saying it beforehand to warn ppl who are not interested. Dunno if it means anything but i play intense mode. Things might be easier at normal mode. So i was walking with my normal team around goldenwood forest (greninja /vivillon/noctowl/houndoom/cherrim/noibat all around level 36-37) and i got caught up by the Demon Gyarados level 55. I managed to do quicksave just before the dark circle came over my body (effectively idiotically trapping myself in the battle), and prepared for the worst. It outsped and oneshot everything. Vivillon was my first pokemon and i could not change that because of where i saved. Dimensional Thrash OP I did multiple resets, trying to get him to start with rain dance, or miss a fire/ice fang, and sleep powder him. Then i spammed psybeam hoping for confusion. Well after over 50 attempts i gave up on this and proceeded to wipe out. ... I felt the urge to go catch a Koffing and train it till 40 to get destiny bond, or to train my litleo till level 28 to learn endeavor and breed it with a rattatta, but i didn't wanna get through all that trouble. Checking box.. what do i have... i didn't want to start leveling up new pokemon just for this turd. I notice a Dedenne level 17 with charm, at level 20 it learns Nuzzle, but wait a minute,... Here it is! A Scatterbug level 11 with stun spore ok i thought this might work. Went back and started trying again. So i managed to kill this shit like this: Gyara > Rain dance Scatter > stun spore ---> dies honorably Dedenne > charm > gyara paralyze > charm again ----> dies Noctowl > reflect > ice fang > uproar for shit damage > --> dies. Cherrim > Sunny Day > gyara paralyzed > Growth > gyara fire fang (I SURVIVE OOOOO) > Morning sun for 2/3 max hp > gyara rain dances (so much luck there) > petal dance > ice fang (surviveee) > petal dance ----> cherrim dies Gyara left with like a hair of hp hp just sent my shitty Noibat to last hit him and get the much needed exp. Well after all that i felt i needed a rest so i might as well write a meaningless post like this while resting >.> For the courageous ones who read it and still haven't gotten to that point in the game, or have troubles earlier, i hope it might give them some ideas on how to get around various "impossible" situations. As for myself, i felt much more despair when i was stuck in Marianette's mansion unable to catch and train new pokemon that i might need against her. Because with my current team (same as mentioned above) i was getting so stomped. But all it needed was one oppurtunity for Noctowl to put slaking to sleep, and then spam echoed voice. She kept healing him and i kept spamming until it became too strong and it killed him ... and everything else after that. TL;DR : you didn't miss anything don't worry
