  1. Honestly? All 3 will likely be fine overall, with some of them being better in certain parts depending on the situation. Incineroar, for example, would completely and utterly dunk on everything Shade knows and loves. Decidueye is never going to be bad, as Ghost types tend to always find some use in Reborn, and Ghost/Grass is an interesting typing. Primarina, as you mentioned, has the most generically good typing of the three, and good STABs(Surf/Sparkling Aria/Hydro Pump and Moonblast)to spam. Their major problem is the problem that's gonna plague a loooot of Alola Pokemon: they're slow. Two base 60s and a base 70(Decidueye) are...not going to doing you any favors. Anyways, some quick pros/cons I suppose.
  2. If you're willing to do a slight bit of breeding for Grimer, once you're able to catch Duskull you can breed it with Grimer to get a Grimer with Curse and Shadow Sneak, letting you do things like run Shadow Sneak/Curse/Poison Jab(or Gunk Shot)/coverage move where that 4th slot is basically whatever the heck you want it to be. It did a lot of work in my mono poison run.
  3. If I'm not mistaken 11/5's update is Grubbin/Charjabug/Vikavolt: Unimplemented > Catchable in the Wild/Repeatable Event Joltik: In-Game Event > catchable in the wild/repeatable event Galvantula: Obtainable through Evolution > Catchable in wild/repeatable event The electric bugs are coming EDIT: Ninja'd by 5 hours holy crap i didn't pay attention
  4. As of 10/28 I see one thing different for sure, and a couple things I'm not sure of. First, the one I'm sure of. Pyukumuku: Unimplemented > Catchable in the wild/Repeatable Event Also, were Yanmega and Tangrowth always "Catchable in Wild/Repeatable Event"? I don't quite recall either of those being true.
  5. @FairFamily Yeah I forgot to put the late evo on the cons. Probably should move Garbodor to C- in that case. Editting post in a moment. Swalot is basically the same, and in fact is probably C instead of C- because it evolves 10 levels earlier than Garbodor, level 26 instead of 36. Only real difference is access to Encore as support and Acid Spray 5 levels later as than Trubbish.
  6. Given how Kricketune is C tier, I see no reason not to nominate Garbodor for the same tier. EDIT: Upon review and some feedback, I say C- for Garbodor instead. That late evolution at 36 really really hurts. Garbodor Pros - Incredible availibility, right from the start in fact, just search the Alleys. - Acid Spray as Trubbish at level 12, an incredibly useful base 40 power move that lowers the enemy's Sp.def by two stages on hit. - Mono poison typing means it completely blanks PULSE Tangrowth, and also lowers its significant bulk with Acid Spray. - Access to Stockpile and Toxic, both regular and of the Spikes variety, means it can simply outlast certain things with healing items - Helps significantly against both Florinia, Corey, and other various fights throughout the early to midgame, right up to about Kiki. - Aftermath is a solid and useful ability, can be great for picking up a double KO in desperate situations. Cons - Mono poison typing means you're useless against certain leaders like Shade and Radomus. - Lack of any relevant coverage sans TMs like Psychic, Thunderbolt. or even Focus Blast, of which we currently have access to none of. - Even with Stockpile, lack of any consistent recovery aside from Swallow means it's all to easy to get worn down without a heavy supply of healing items, leading it to be a cash grabber. - Other than Aftermath its other two abilities, Stench and Weak Armor, aren't great. Stench CAN be useful with its flinch chance, but Weak Armor is actively a downside. - Relatively late Evolution of 36, leaving you with Trubbish for longer than you want. - Falls off HARD after the midgame, becoming virtually useless. Poor thing. Of note, all points I've made for Garbodor here can also apply to Swalot, so putting it in the same spot might be a good idea. EDIT: Small set of pros and cons for Swalot that are different. Pros - Encore access, something Garbodor lacks. - Semi early evolution of 26(!), meaning you'll have it before Shade. - Destiny Bond via egg moves. Usually fat enough to take a hit, no sash required! - Most pros that Garbodor has, Swalot does as well. Cons - When Liquid Ooze is your best ability, you're pretty bad off here. - Slow as molasses. Base 55 isn't awful but it's a real drawback in a lot of cases. - Every con that Garbodor has, Swalot has in some way.
  7. If you're willing to do some breeding and got lucky with the Mystery Egg/have someone willing to trade with you, Azumarill would probably be solid for your team, as not only another strong physical attacker/sweeper, but also a Fairy type with incredible typing. Other Pokemon I can likely recommend: Venusaur, bulky grass type with good synergy with Charizard, particularly if you decide to go Mega Y for some battles if we get that(Don't count on it). Umbreon as mentioned before can do well on your team, passing fat Wishes to things like Mamo or Meta can prove devastating. Other than that, I'd say Clefablle as well, does double duty as sweeper and bulky Fairy if you run Cosmic Power or Calm Mind with Stored Power. Pick your poison, really.
  8. Man being an analyst for the MBL has been a hell of a ride.  Hopefully they'll take me back for season 3

  9. Look at dem boofers! also i can't believe you put the DOG GROOMER IN THE CAT SALON HOW DARE YOU AME In all seriousness glad to see E17 is chugging along and that the big issue remains to be Essentials' lack of AI. Yikes. Also good to hear the weather bug is fixed, that stuff was annoying.
  10. I have about 2 1/2 boxes worth of Pokemon I use, but there are certainly ones I use more than others. Here is the team I tend to gravitate back towards the most, simply because of either bias or consistency. These next are a few Pokemon I bring in and out in a rotation style, usually in groups of 3 or 4. Then of course there's probably a few things I missed that are hanging somewhere in my signature. I have a lot of random Pokemon I like to use or adapt to various situations with.
  11. If you haven't already beaten him, a couple other things to consider: keep Gigalith healthy for his Swellow, that thing is a nasty nasty piece of work(if it's still there as of E16, I haven't fought him post E15 yet). Also, if you have any Poison types with Sludge Wave, try changing the field effect. The passive recovery granted by the terrain is a real issue, especially when it comes to his bulkier Pokemon. Other than that, all the mons mentioned are generally good ways to beat him down. Scrafty, Hariyama, Primeape are all good ways to punch a hole in the first few Pokemon on his team. Other than that the battle kind of boils down to a good old fashioned brawl. Noel's team doesn't do anything special to beat you up, he just hits really really hard.
  12. Well that would explain things, I haven't actually gone back to explore those places in V9 so I had no idea those things looked different.
  13. So I'm exploring Route 9 after I've finished the episode to see if there's any neat things I can get and I come across something I can't for the life of me figure out. Under cut just in case. I've tried Flash, Rock Smash, and a few other things but to no avail. Any ideas?
  14. A little bit of an event flag not being set on enough squares. Under spoiler cut since I guess plot spoilers? Also various clipping errors in GDC's subway. If you go up when walking down the stairs to the train after choosing a destination you can go into the wall if you're quick.
  15. Aha I suppose I live here again.  Whoops.

  16. I'm so glad that this exists. It was not a mistake to ask Amethyst on twitter to see what hell Alolan Exeggutor looked like in game. This is a Good Thing.
  17. My first shiny? It's actually on my very first playthrough, which I sadly no longer have the save for that started in Ep14 before Ep 15 was even like..half done and before 14.5: it was a Huge Power Bunnelby that went on to be basically a bash brother with my Swampert. Shiny AND Huge Power, talk about lucky. I miss Dirk the Diggersby.
  18. Still giddy the Komala team me and my friend built was used for Pokeaim's Eter Komala vid

  19. Aw man, I liked the layout....but seriously it's in need of some serious updating. Looks like it's finally time. Long live the old Reborn site....Or is it just being...no I won't make the obvious joke, here's hoping to see all the changes go through smoothly, and best of luck to you regarding that Ame!
  20. So many fights can be made or broken depending on how well you deal with the field effect. As have been stated there are some go to moves that are reliable in most scenarios, with of course Nature Power being the end all be all. I have a fond memory of my 2nd and now current file where Kiki was absolutely devastating my team...Until I realized Nature Power turns into a +3 Meditate, and then I proceeded to sweep her sorry butt with Nature Power/Flame Charge Typhlosion. I still use Typhlosion to this day just because Fire is a spammable STAB, a VERY useful Hidden Power Electric, and Nature Power's utility being nearly unparalleled. My best advice to anyone struggling to wrap their head around the Field Effects: pick 3 mons at most on your team to be your go to field effect mons. Be they disrupting the field, abusing the field, or setting up your own field. I did this in my Mono Poison run with Roserade/Venusaur/Dragalge. Two of them can set up Grassy Terrain, and the other will gladly spread venom with Sludge Wave to make the field a poisonous one.
  21. Water Bubble as an ability is actually absurd. All glory to Bubble Spier

    1. Monochrome_Complex

      Monochrome_Complex

One of my favorite gen 7 pokemon. It looks really good in-game too, static pictures don't do it justice.

  22. In my first playthrough, it took me a good 30 attempts at least, and this was back in Episode 14, so the Field Effect(I forget which one it is at this point, been a while)was not in play. My overall strategy was to praise the True Lord and Savior, Garbodor. Stockpile and Toxic make for a very very grindy but doable way to beat Dittoceus into the dirt. Otherwise, as mentioned before, there's a Focus Sash to find and a plethora of Destiny Bond/Mirror Coat mons to work with. Simple and effective.
