  1. At the moment, I'm going with reincarnation. The PC experiences moments of seemingly being able to internally communicate with Adrest and recalling his memories. These are the some of the same patterns of behavior as Aelita with Vivian and Taelia. That right there is a lot of the back and forth behavior that has me conflicted. On the one hand, she manipulated Ren and Nim/Lorna into harming people with lies (obviously Nim more than Ren but still) and tried to prevent Melia from joining S&T. Melia held our entrapment in the ruined present against S&T and regretted not listening to Crescent but I disagree with that and felt she had missed their intention. Madame X suggests that S&T must have ensured Melia and the PC's misplaced existence in the ruined present either to force us to reap what we sewed or expecting us to fix it. I 100% believe it was both and a means of showing Melia the consequences of choosing the one over the many. This is foreshadowed when S&T presented her with the hypothetical scenario that Venom's survival from her stone stasis would mean mass casualties and her refusal to take the choice seriously. S&T might be neutral and uncompassionate beings who view people as disposable but clearly act in the best interest of the universe and humanity as a whole species with full understanding of what that means. Madame X seems to trust them as do I. At the same time, Crescent allegedly died trying to save Braxien and Co from Red head---or according to what I've noticed here in this thread it seems her name is Freya on route 7. She did also save Dranna, the Mewtwo that Madalis had turned Shadow. I concur with not giving her the credit for our "resurrection" on Mount Valor. Once Melia revealed the Interceptor's abilities I put the same pieces together that she did. The same can perhaps be said of when we escaped the explosion in the banquet room on the S.S Oceana and the S.S Oceana period. Our mom might have expected Crescent to get us out but that doesn't mean that she did. Even Madame X didn't know we were the Interceptor until we survived Yvetle in the ruined Present so perhaps our mom didn't either. I think Crescent might be a mercenary. The only thing she truly seems to care about is getting the outcome that she benefits most from and just favors us because of our role in achieving that outcome. The true question, is what exactly that outcome is but I'm assuming that because we don't get the choice to heed her advice to ditch our friends, our character had made the choice for themselves not to trust her and whatever her plan is. Which I happen to be fine with.
  2. Just a bit ago, I completed V12 and first let me establish that Isha/Isiah just became my favorite Pokemon fangame villain matched only by Nyx in Insurgence. He reminded me of an antagonist in Criminal Minds who'd murdered his abusive religious extremist father and then was so consumed with guilt that he developed a split personality to pseudo-resurrect him (at least I'm pretty sure it was out of guilt but it's been a long time). During his reveal story, I made a connection. Isha/Isiah had established that we ventured into their original home in Zone Zero. This has to be the house where our character, Ren and Aelita find Isiah's dairy with all the contents ripped out. Remember there was a damaged stasis pod in that house with a table opposite. Aelita had freaked and bailed when she saw that the pod had an occupant. If you interact with it you'll get the text: "There's someone inside this capsule but...". It was Isiah's body in that pod wasn't it (which would definitely be gross at this point so I don't blame Aelita)? We clearly haven't seen the last of Isha/Isiah. It seemed stupid of him to announce a large scale threat in front of Officer Jenny but I have a feeling he did that on purpose as some form of distraction. I am looking very forward to more of him and to hopefully return to some other loose ends such as: - Anju's transformation into Angie and Angie's current whereabouts and doings in the present. - Valarie's amnesia - Saki's whereabouts - Adrest and our connection to him. - Whether Crescent is trustworthy or not. I've been going back and forth with that. Actually, backtracking to Zone Zero again, something is bugging me a bit. When we first enter Zone Zero, if you go into the old jailhouse, there is a Puppet Master box inside the cell where Mayor Raphael and Gloria were locked up. After I believe you defeat Rift Gloria, the box will be gone. This is also the last place Rhodea is seen after understandably becoming very uncomfortable being back in her childhood hometown. Considering it's location, was the box for her and did she take it?
  3. Ah. I didn't get the dialoged about his children because I advised him return to Sashilla. I only realized that dialogue existed when I watched someone else on Youtube tell him to continue into the Chasm. I do vaguely remember something about a son named after the Gregorian Lake but I thought he was referencing his unborn child whom his wife was pregnant with when they went into the Chasm together. Are we sure Gregory is Geara? What evidence is there to support that? I love this thought. It would be quite brilliant if she unwittingly pulled something of an Oedipus on her son.
  4. Thanx for the confirmation. I'm not the most anxious to do that quest tbh because I read that once you do, the orphan selling the EV berries switches his stock to regular berries which kind of sucks. UPDATE: Did the Mosley quest and shit that was heartbreaking. I legit felt a vague urge to cry It provided really good backstory though. I wish I had thought of Draught Torkoal. I went with Sunny Day Castform and got through it but got myself a Drought Torkoal for Angie and completely melted her into a puddle with it.
  5. I've read that there is supposed to be a side quest with Mosely at the Hospital of Hope after finding all the orphans. I've found all the orphans but Mosely isn't at the HoH. Do I perhaps need to complete the Lost Camp updates as well?
  6. This happened to me as well but rather than undo my complete labyrinth Crest collection and the Karen quest I used Debug to warp back to the stadium.
  7. As established, as of V12 the Mega-Z Ring is unavailable for our character, however there is one battle during which we can use Mega Evolution as another character.
  8. Oh I find this helpful as well. I got into that house and got the painting from the thief quest some time ago but after collecting the hidden items and talking to the recluse who's squatting there I didn't see anything else to do so I left (though not before recognizing the outside as the place we end up at when we die at Valor Mountain. I wonder what our connection to it is).
  9. Ah, excuse my ignorance. While I've caught Malamars before, I've literally NEVER evolved an Inkay. I have never actually used either, but am now training up a handful of options for the Aya battle. Thank you.
  10. I'm experiencing a strange glitch. I've started to level up the Inkay received from the Kristiline Help Plaza and it won't complete the evolution sequence. It begins but then stops as though I'd pressed B though I DID NOT. This has happened twice. The second time I put my controller aside and away from my hands just to be certain I hadn't bumped the button by accident and the evolution still stopped. What's going on? I evolved three other Pokemon to their final stages earlier this evening (Abra, Gible and Trapinch), so this issue is exclusive to this Inkay.
  11. Another question: Does it matter whether or not you let Ana win in her first battle after Dylan gives her Maggy?
  12. I'm doing the Narcissa side quest and am at the point at which you need to talk to present Narcissa to proceed to the Dufaux battle but when I tell her "I'm ready to go" she tells me "You should take care of any unfinished business first." What is she referring to? Do I need to finish the main story content of V12 (which for me is just saving Lavender from the hospital)?
  13. Ah Gamesharks. I had one for my Gameboy color, 2 actually because the first one got corrupted so I replaced it hehe. I have a Powersaves for 3DS now which I've only used for 2 shinies (Rowlet which I tried resetting to get for two years and Lunala which is shiny locked) and getting the entire wardrobe in Ultra Sun and a Gameshark for PS2 which is now useless because I disconnected my PS2 when we got a PS4 which meant I could take the PS3 to my room. That's an entirely fair perspective. I have all respect for Jan and the other Devs even though I've used Debug for a few things. BTW, I'm in Normal mode.
  14. Good to know. As I said I might have used Debug to change my Absol's attack IV but it's so squishy that it hardly matters. It doesn't survive much at all even though the rest of it's IVs are not terrible. It's quite ridiculous really (same with Garchomp BTW, once I got one in Reborn I was super annoyed that we didn't get EQ while Soloaris did) but don't worry about it, I was feeling guilty about it from the beginning and now that I have Bulldoze I'm at the Sheridan Move Tutor deciding what to replace EQ with.
  15. Wow. I had no idea IVs effected that much. That IVs are a deciding factor in going first or not and survivability is kind of overboard I think. Yes, I am aware. I never tried to argue otherwise and as I said, I've only used Mimikyu in a side quest/optional battle because I feel guilty. As for Gliscor, I suppose I should have just stuck with my Nidoking with Earth Power. Despite it's weaknesses, It wasn't that bad. He actually had my back for quite some time though by the time I got Gliscor I actually didn't need Earthquake in most boss/gym battles. Rift Hippowdon was the one exception. I did use Earthquake against Flora/Ryland but via Swampert and Toreterra both of whom do learn it legitimately. My Gliscor did take part in that battle but just to taunt Nidoqueen so it couldn't set up Toxic Spikes after which it got one-shot by Ice Beam. I have the Bulldoze TM now so now that I can teach Gliscor a legit Ground move, I'll delete Earthquake. I'm actually at the Sheridan Move tutor now.
  16. I said this in another thread but I'm against using Debug mode to gain significant advantages regardless of whether or not the game provides them, at least in the first playthrough. Significant advantages being those that allow dishonest progression. i.e Unavailable Pokemon, early Crests or the Mega Ring and unavailable mega stones or Z-crystals or on a smaller scale things such as changing a Pokemon's ability, nature or as is the topic at hand, it's IVs. Nonetheless, I'll never judge anyone who does these things. It's their game and as Rejuv has no online server for multiple player interactions it will never effect anyone other than the doer (though from my experience that's insured anyway as use of Debug mode tends to result in being banned from online servers). I'll admit to falling to temptation and using Debug for minor things I wouldn't usually condone. I really do try to be good but I am the devil after all. What I am referring to is giving myself a heart scale or two when out to use the Move Re-learner, giving Earthquake to my Gliscor and changing ONE IV and only because it was 0. It was the attack IV on my Absol. I didn't feel like breeding at the time especially since the Daycare mod isn't available for the GDC daycare and I'm a shiny hunter. If it's any consolation, the poor thing is pretty squishy unfortunately. I'll even admit to one major abuse: *takes deep breath* I duplicated Melia's Mimikyu. I know I suck but I was really disappointed when she got it instead of us. Thus far I've only used it once and it was against Challenger Neptune which is a side quest/optional battle so doesn't effect progression. I'm now considering using it in the upcoming battle I have with Dufaux, also a side quest/optional battle but I'm gonna try it without first. Interestingly, from what I've read, in earlier versions there was an IV changing service in the Hospital of Hope but was horrendously expensive at around 350K for a single IV. The V9 follower is still available to download or at least was when I begun the game at maximum of a couple of years ago as I'd installed it without looking at the version number by accident. Therefore it's potentially possible to exploit this old service if you're that desperate and don't want to entirely cheat with Debug. I've considered it but haven't yet tried it. I don't 100% understand IVs other than that the higher the IV, the higher the stats or perhaps the higher the max stats. Bottom line higher IVs = a stronger Pokemon. Or at least that's been my observation though based on @MhicKy's comment, perhaps I am incorrect. They've now drawn my attention to the fact that we can't see IVs in the mainstream games. If they're such a significant factor, what is the reason for this? If this mod were to be created I'd consider using it. The time and effort needed to control IVs is far more tedious than shiny hunting even with mainstream shiny odds. This is incorrect. I am watching a Youtuber playing V12 in intense mode and none of his Pokemon are max IVs.
  17. Use Curse or Ominous Wind to convert the blessed field to the haunted field. She's easy then. Not only does she lose her Ghost immunity but Ghosts now do super effective damage to her. With Xatu, that's how I did it. I ended up getting 2 OW boosts by the time I got to Bewear so Air Slash one-shot it. I'm not sure if you can leave the Marble Mansion at this point as I never had the need but Natu can be found in Amethyst Cave and learn OW. If you don't have anything that can use Curse or OW and are unable to leave the Marble Mansion, then I've got nothing. Sorry.
  18. I'm about to go to sleep as it's late here but I am preparing for the big Dufaux battle in the Narcissa side quest and am putting some pieces together that we receive during Narcy's exploration of her future. First of all, it's revealed that Narcissa's late husband Sirius is in fact another alias of Vitus and that he had a "son" who wasn't blood related to him but whom he found as an infant. Recall, at the end of the past-Sheridan/Vivian event Anju leaves to return to home to an infant son. Anju is also kidnapped and imprisoned at some point by Vitus/Indraid. Judging by her appearance and inquiry of Hiyoshi City this is probably not long after our little detour to past Hiyoshi City on our way to rift Hippowdon where if you talk to her at some point while she's at a vendor in the shopping area she tells you she's having a custom amulet made. I presume this the amulet that's been sitting on our bag forever if you visited her in her prison in the Marble Mansion. The fate of her infant son is never revealed. I think the "son" that Vitus "found" as an infant, Gregory is Anju's son. This also puts some context as to how she turned into the cold psychopath who froze over Kristiline City. On a side note: I'm now getting the feeling that "Sirius" isn't actually dead.
  19. FYI I found a Youtube video that solved this problem. It turns out the key isn't any of the sparkles it's at the foot of that bed on the left. Trick puzzle, well played Jan.
  20. From what I've gathered everyone experiences this glitch, myself included. It occurs when you get your character to the finish before the others. Load a backup save if needed and get the others to finish first. That's how I got past it.
