Saki Gym puzzle
Lucifer Morningstar replied to shadowalker35's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Oh that puzzle was optional? I had no idea what to do and the NPC literally says there is no hint so I just turned them a few times randomly and when I saw the key on the floor on the other end of the room I assumed I'd solved it. XD Can I still do it even though I've beaten Saki? I wouldn't mind that Adamant mint. -
Saki GYM BATTLE
Lucifer Morningstar replied to LuckyHawk's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Honestly, I'm keeping this cheese in mind for the future and ironically I did just put Destiny Bond on my Banette. -
I have only gotten a glimpse of my relationship points with each character while scrolling and I am quite sure I don't have negatives with anyone. I did take particular notice that my highest relationships are with Melia and Aelita and yes I have 50 karma. So then my 15 bad ending calc is possibly a bug?

GDC hospital V13 (Spoilers)
Lucifer Morningstar replied to WimpOut's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
That's awesome. I have quite a few Pokemon that can use this service though I assume it's still costs the rough 350k I heard it originally was (I started in V12 so this is the first it's been available to me)? That's rough but doable. -
That's a good question, did the Interceptor have the same choice that the MCs did? I hope so. When he gives us the Interceptium-Z, Aero says "because we were cowards we took 50% of your power" but I wouldn't call him a coward. It's understandable that a soul so emotionally defeated by grief couldn't bare such a tremendous and traumatizing burden that requires you to witness many deaths and broken worlds. One could call it unfair that that choice was even imposed on them. I'm not quite convinced that the Interceptor is the one who pressed the reset button due to being unable to remember doing so but the brief conversation between Kieran and Clear as we go forth to confront the Puppet Master in which they decide not to step in because the Interceptor's likelihood of success is higher does suggest some form of alliance with the Interceptor. It's also revealed that they are from an alternate reality, essentially they're an alternate Xara and Jean even though they've apparently never gone by those names. Considering all the people they've harmed and that their actions suggest that they're against this universe/timeline/whatever I hope they're not working for the Interceptor. Side note: I hope the interceptor gets scanned in the pod because I'm interested in what the results would say such as what our existential age is. Like how Melia's is 70. EDIT: I just watched this video on YT and it seems Clear and Kieran are affiliated with Team Xen somehow because with a full bad ending calc of 100 they invite you to join Team Xen while you are in your nightmare realm. Neither mentions Team Xen just their fight for "oblivion" but that's Madame X behind them in the thumbnail. Note: For those who don't want this and are worried about getting it, I got the impression form this video that it's next to impossible if not impossible without either debugging or trying to be an absolute sadistic asshole.

I saw this yesterday and meant to check that but got distracted by the story. My Badendingclac is 15 and I'm not sure how that happened. I guess I missed some relationship points? I did none of the things in the list of things that give the highest bad ending calc; I saved Amber, Tesla, Karen and the two savable rift Pokemon as of the current version, did nothing in the AU and Florin is alive and up for mayor of GDC as of V13 ( which is a bit questionable because he supported Cassandra and I wonder who it is if he's dead?) but it seems not enough relationship points with certain characters causes bad ending points? It must be that.

I disagree. Much the same as Reborn which people will even ill advise Nuzlocking because it was designed to be the most difficult Pokemon game, I doubt that Rejuvenation's circumstances were designed with an interest in Nuzlocke accommodation. From what I've gathered Nuzlocking is designed to create a challenge in games that otherwise don't have one and Rejuvenation provides that challenge without requiring the limitations. Therefor to Nuzlocke a game that had no intention of supporting the limitations is to be responsible for your own difficulties. Even when not Nuzlocking you can still make the game more difficult for yourself than it needs to be without proper preparation and strategy you're just making it more difficult for yourself. I should know, I can admit with dignity that I've been guilty of this. Although I continued into V13 with a V12 file so did not fight the raid version of Rift Volcanion, I can tell you from experience in the new chapter that raid mons can be statused including Sleep and Burn. Nonetheless I do find the shields a bit irritating as a waste of PP and healing items, as do I in SWSH in which it's even more stupid with the turn/faint limit but considering that Revival Herbs were removed from the Herb shop, that's part of the intended challenge buff.

I just finished V13 last night and it's true that in the Puppet Master battle he/she introduces themselves using the name of the body even though they know and acknowledge the presence of the others. This means that even despite the interceptor being the main dominant personality the host MC (I think that might be better than NPC MC) still has dominance of the original fusion. I'm pretty sure they use 'we' when giving the Interceptium-Z however. "Because we we were cowards, we took 50% your power. It's time we gave that power back."

In V12 I used a seed for Trick Room on entry, Misty Terrain to nullify LK and a double Moonblast assault from TWO Sylveons, Mom's and one I evolved from the HC Eevee. Mom's was also able to pull off one Calm Mind. Sweet Veil Ribombee probably would have worked here as well and I had caught a shiny one as Ren but I didn't know about Sweet Veil and I got the Misty Terrain strat from another thread here.

Saki GYM BATTLE
Lucifer Morningstar replied to LuckyHawk's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
That battle was brutal but apart from Blizzard and Fire Blast on her Aggron which should not be possible (and I mean even if it's legal, it's complete nonsense), I concur with sentiment that it was appropriate for the fifteenth gym battle that's near level 100. To be honest, I probably should have looked at this thread before I did it. To be honest it was pretty stupid of me to go into this battle not certain of what Wonder Room was. Somehow, I managed to win it with speed, a Houndoom that could tank multiple of her signature move and land 2 Infernos, a hell of a lot of Revival Herbs, some Ultra Potions and a bit of luck at the very end. Interesting, I could have sworn that when we battled Erick he'd been acting as Saki's stand in while she was missing. Either that was changed or I'm just nuts (I know Talon was changed, he was originally referred to as the flying gym leader and now he was referred to as the reserve flying gym leader). -
Note: From this point onward, for distinguishing purposes I'm going to refer to the player as 'the Interceptor' and our original counterpart as the NPC MC (even though my mind keeps saying Aero because he's my MC). This does sound about right. I'm starting to see it lining up. Crescent somehow ended up fusing together the souls of all of the lost MCs into one presumably as a screwed up attempt to bring back each individual one and then the Interceptor was added to replace that fusion in consciousness. What still has me puzzled is where did the Interceptor come from? Who are they? The suggestion that they are from the previous version of the world that was reset could have some merit. Could the Interceptor have possibly come from the Den of Souls in the 3rd Layer where Nim feeds (maybe one from another timeline)? I'm not sure where Adrest came into the mix. Originally I thought we were a reincarnation of Adrest like Alieta is a reincarnation of Vivian and Taeilia but because v13 revolves around waking him up inside the interceptor that's off the table. It's a bit unreasonable for Crescent to be pissed off at the interceptor after she's released from her pod, she knows we have amnesia and is honestly kind of selfish in regard to us but in light of what is revealed of her in the nightmare realm and that it was Clear who had manipulated Nim, I do feel a bit bad about it and kinda wanna get back into her good graces. A little. I have read that about Ana, I wonder that as well and what happens in the Interceptor's nightmare realm if you're playing as Ana. Speaking of Ana, does that sidequest continue in V13 and if so how?

I noticed that as well and at first that was a bit confusing since NPC MC does it even before our MC is implanted but this clears that up. She definitely messed with some shit she didn't understand because recall that she was upset when the MC had suddenly shut her out and seemed not to remember her hence her creation of Nancy. The entity that had implanted our character said that she'd given Crescent knowledge of our "new" name but apparently of nothing else therefore as far as she is aware our amnesia must be related to the process she used to bring the NPC MC back. I also noticed something interesting while watching the MC's nightmare realm on YT. If you don't play as Aero, he dies jumping in front of Alian I believe it was to protect her. The MC does this same thing for Melia in the post-apocalyptic AU so if you play as Aero which I do, that scene is twice as fitting.

I've just completed both routes of the school of nightmares and am still a little lost on the reveal...or rather not quite a reveal of the MC's true identity. In the span of a single series of conversations the MC is referred to as 3 different entities: - "A being from another world" - "A deceased person inside of a doll" - A composite of all of the MCs. The second one is supported by the scene in which the original MC was inhabited and essentially replaced with the Interceptor so what do the other two references mean? Is the MC character that goes by our chosen name, the interceptor a real person or some kind of fabricated soul and if it's the former will we find out the our actual origins? Our Nightmare Realm was more or less the original MC's past not ours. I've also been pondering how this connects to the scene in which the MC falls into a coma. Did being near that house again trigger the NPC MC to briefly awaken and it was them who did all the freaking out ("KEEP IT TOGETHER"!)? This would match with the meltdown the NPC MC has after we defeat them. I've never been clear on who the two people are who are conversing in that scene though I am pretty sure neither is us. Was it Adrest and the NPC MC? (funny side note: how awkward is this event for players who chose to keep their MC's original name lol. Come on, there must be some people out there who did right?)

I concur. I'm playing in a V12 save as well and have a Karma score of 50. From what I have gathered in this very thread, that is pretty high. Granted, I've checked it twice thus far, first somewhere in between the conversation that suggested that the MC did the reset and first component path and then again just now, that number hasn't changed, I don't know how Karma works vs. relationship points which I've gotten plenty new of in v13. I also have a bad ending score of 0...I think. It takes a bit of an irritatingly long time to scroll through the variable list but I noticed a 0 next to one called 'Bad Ending 1'. I think it's safe to say that I am in no danger of a or the bad ending but whether or not I am heading in the right direction for the best/true ending I don't know. That considered I think the only concern with one's karma score in an old version save is missing stuff such a relationship points that didn't exist in the older versions.

School of Nightmare

Thanx. I am ass at puzzles. Just giving us 'Labor' in the group investigation wasn't enough for me. -
Quitting Rejuvenation.
Lucifer Morningstar replied to HoplashTheGuy's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
I have no idea what battle this is because I'm still in the Pearl Component arc but how are Megas with held items even possible? That sounds like PKHexing permanent megas (well semi-permanent because if you keep them in your party when you close the game they revert back)! I concur with this. I read somewhere that Ame's main objective was to create a Pokemon game that is as difficult as possible. I'm not sure if it was the main objective in Rejuvenation but it was prioritized nonetheless. I'm in Normal mode and have thus far never been on the verge of rage quitting whilst I have at least twice in Reborn and the first time was in the 4th gym battle (although it awarded the 3rd badge). Do I get frustrated at times? Yes, in fact I get a bit easily frustrated. Do I use revives and healing items in battle and am holding on to V12 so I can continue to purchase Revival Herbs at the Herb shop? Yes, because while I appreciate the challenge it's not important to me that I have the "real/anime" experience. Granted that I played up to the current chapter in V12 and I've gathered that some things such as rift battles got buffed, overall I have not had a tremendous amount of trouble and have not felt as though anything has been particularly unfair vs. the few times I have in Reborn *coughglassfactorycough* and am enjoying the story. I can understand losing interest, not all plots are going to appeal to everyone and v13 is heavy right out of the gate but I'm going to throw out a cold truth here (Angie irony intended), with respect, if you're having difficulty in Casual mode, stick to mainstream because it's you not the game. Fangames are designed to require a lot more strategic skill than mainstream, that's the whole appeal alongside darker plots. -
UPDATE 2: I went back to one of my earliest Erin saves and restarted the entire event from the beginning and I've made it to the ballroom without issue. The first time around I missed a couple or so group talks and chose to explore when I interacted with the locked door rather than return to the Rooftop. I don't know if correcting either of those things made a difference but problem solved it seems.

UPDATE: I've just discovered that now the Group Chat key no longer works. Both problems also persist in 0.1 Debug version. The first time around I missed a couple or so group talks and chose to explore when I interacted with the locked door rather than return to the Rooftop.
