  1. I'll admit to recently considering the possibility that the android Ana we've been interacting with in the quest might be the exact same Ana that was in the MC class and the only Ana there has ever been. As in she doesn't have a real person counterpart and the grave is merely sentimental (I'm fairly certain that has to be a thing because there are plenty of scenarios in which a body is never found) however as for the other MCs I concur with the latter of this. There is no stretch. Androids are machines that are formed to resemble humans that can contain souls hence Ren but no life essence and isn't Nihilego drawn to human life essence? One thing we do know through Venom and Nim is that being turned to stone is not death, at least not immediate death and each of the MCs had souls none of which were consumed as Crescent fused them together in her resurrection magic. Souls could be enough to draw the Nihilego but don't forget that Nim was unable to turn Ren to stone because his physical form is artificial (sorry off topic, but is Ren's real body still alive?). While Nim night not be human per se or even necessarily a natural life form (didn't Indraid create the first Storm-9?), I'm fairly certain that she is not an android otherwise that would have been revealed or at least hinted at by this point and because she is able to turn to stone herself. In fact due to her soul consumption she is closer in concept to being a Nihilego. She is Storm-9 personified and the Nihilego were a manifestation of Storm-9. Alright now I'm about to stretch plausibility but what if Nim is Nymira possessed by a Nihilego? We don't actually know what happened to her, Nim has a heavy resemblance to Nymira's line (she and Alexandra could be identical twins) and took her name from Nymira. Unless I am nuts, the first thing Nim said when she showed up in Sashila was the MC's name and Nymira knows the MC from their travels to the past. Granted we have not seen a Nihilego facing an android thus far and per the chapter title the MC backstory is still quite vague therefore it is not impossible but I don't believe it probable.
  2. Perhaps but all had to have had parents at some point and something had to have happened to those parents to orphan them.
  3. The branched character paths were unique, well conceptualized and added balance to the plot through diverse perspectives. Although I did not use the Interceptor's Wish because I was intrigued to learn the other characters' teams and face the challenge of their limitations including the new issued bag that now replaces one's own, I appreciate having the option available to maintain a level of control of what is available to work with whilst spending an extended amount of time as another character. The aesthetics are more vibrant and crisp and the overall Kingdom Hearts feel particularly with how the SON played into the darknesses of the characters was phenomenal. While all the stacking revelations felt a bit like stepping into a minefield, they can be summed up perfectly by the chapter title 'Vague Clarity' and inspired intrigue. i.e Did Angie know that it had been her son whom she'd imprisoned in her church and whose gym leader role she had assumed? (side note: Vivian questioning if Angie intended on keeping her child in a cage his whole life was brilliant irony even though it kind of stretches believability that she didn't know what a crib is). The music strongly conveys the atmosphere, the group talk/investigation mechanic is engaging with how it both allows more than two characters to participate in an event and responds to the room or location in the interactions and there is some nice character growth. Particularly so with Erin declaring herself the Devil to Indraid's God even though a tiny part of me wants to sue her for impersonation because I use the name Lucifer, hehe and Kanon starting to learn to be his own person. Granted I'm in the process of gathering the changes to the existing content via Youtube, what I have seen thus far has for the most part been a massive improvement. The regional variants are incredible and there is a lot of added depth and substance such as the Missing Mother quest's outcome. The extension with the inclusion of the homeless and struggling in her secret salon has a stronger sense of Cassandra's impact on the region and that it now ends in reconciliation that triggers the MC's own coping with their mother's being missing as well gives it so much better closure. The MC's relationship with their mother overall is a lot stronger with these such moments peppered in like that. There is another one where her soul or something appears in the theater in Goldenleaf after you defeat Narcissa. Not sure I understand that one but it was nice. The public phenomenon of the Chrysolia Manor's appearance super imposing itself over our time period rather than just tucked into a corner of the sewers where only 4 kids ever found it made so much more sense even though the nature of it's appearance still isn't explained and the elaborance of the Blacksteeple Castle arc are two more examples of strong changes. There are also some really good character adjustments. I love that Geara is a lot more of a sadistic psychopath such as how now it is he who shoves the MC into the lava on Valor Mountain and even Zetta was like WTF and how Ren stepped up his early game to wanting to overthrow Narcissa (BTW her house's new second story deck is amazing, I would love something like that)! My grievances are few and small. I'm disappointed that the audino grinder on Route 9 has now been given damaging moves including Knock Off which kind of renders the Lucky Egg useless. I had favored him for being the only one that was Healing Wish exclusive. I thought Mom's death was a bit less gruesome than when she took Madame X's blade for the MC and the MC watches it penetrate her right in front of their eyes. I think the V12 death is also more fitting with Crescent's order that she sacrifice herself for the MC should it become necessary. The MC's reaction is a lot stronger now though. Granted I haven't done it and am ass at puzzles without a timer or pursuer, while the plot surrounding the Crysolia Manor's arc has improved, the trials feel overdone, disconnected and distracting from the characters and the objective of the arc. Indraid might be an extremist but this kind of seems as though someone just wanted more puzzles for the sake of adding challenges and didn't consider the necessity. The last thing is this: I still have V12 because I don't understand removing Revival Herbs from the herb shop and I have a Gliscor with Poison Heal but there still isn't a damn Toxic Orb in the game that I am aware of. Poison Heal without a Toxic Orb is almost as useful as any Pokemon other than Mimikyu having Disguise. Over all, though top notch!
  4. Something occurred to me. Could Nancy be modeled after the host MC's mother? This would explain the "instant connection" she mentioned.
  5. I don't believe so right now since Amber is currently in our army. I can imagine it being a post-game thing.
  6. We still don't know what Crescent is or the extent of her abilities so it is plausible that if she can resurrect a soul she could reform it as well.
  7. Crap, I forgot about that mention. If she was designed to resemble someone else than she's not a real soul? Now I'm confused.
  8. Now that it's been pointed out here, Nancy's character development does seem to bit a bit inconsistent. On the S.S Oceana, there is a bit of servant/master relationship between her and Crescent; we see Crescent give her orders (i.e die for the MC if it becomes necessary) which she complies to without question and we see her telling Crescent that she's fearful despite that she's not supposed to be able to feel. This can be compared to Kanon's constant insistence that he is supposed to serve not be an actual person. However, she doesn't have the same characteristics as the other servants we've seen. She didn't seem to be lost without a master's orders and illustrated the capacity to make her own choices (i.e sabotaging Team Xen's machine at Blacksteeple) Then in V13, it's revealed that Nancy came from a black box and that the black boxes appear to contain actual souls because Crescent created the MC soul fusion from them and our MC is referred to as "a deceased person inside of a doll." while Kanon did not. When Nancy reveals the truth of herself in Zeight she states "there was an instant connection" suggesting that there was a prior relationship between her and either the host MC or ours. Most of the development including what was pointed out about the Mawile does point to Nancy having been a deceased person as the Host MC was therefore that is what I am going with. At least for now. Either her memories were somehow irreparably destroyed or Crescent excluded them so she could rewrite the persona. It's possible Nancy wasn't even her original name as didn't Crescent have to tell her what her name was? It's possible that Nancy behaved a bit like a servant at first because Crescent intended her as one despite that in essence she is not. Regardless, there had to have been some manipulation of Augustus's memories as well as those of at least some of the other passengers because there was no fuss over how neither Nancy or the MC were seen boarding the ship since technically neither did. Augustus additionally would have needed either his relationship with Nancy and the MC written in or her death written out and the existing relationship to be rewritten to include the MC as her child like Dawn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
  9. Mareanie and Toxapex can have the ability Merciless which guarantees crits on poisoned targets and I am unsure if Venom's field auto activates it. I didn't have trouble with her in V12 but from what I've been told my strategy was removed from V13 which is understandable because it honestly was a bit broken. Said strategy; Swoobat.
  10. It can be found in the Sheridan Wetlands Xen Lab with a Good Rod. I just got one and a Lanturn (Super Rod) there myself for the Aquarium Quest.
  11. Quest complete. Although some of the Pokemon took a bit of work to find and I had to do a bit of breeding (i.e the Piplup line), overall it was nothing really. None of the required Pokemon are unreasonable, not even the Clamperl evolutions and I didn't have to do a lot of grinding as a lot of the final evolution stages required are available in the wild or are obtained using a stone and items. I had 6 Trade Stones, one of each of the Clamperl evolution items and 6 Water Stones in my bag (and the Carvanha I donated reimbursed the DeepSeaTooth) and a few of the Pokemon in my PC from the beginning.
  12. Is Staryu a time of day thing because there are only Pyukumuku right now.
  13. I have no idea if Blastoise can learn Shell Smash in this game and if we got the Mega Ring earlier I'd agree but we just got the mega ring at level 85 so I don't see how it would be too bad. Ah. That doesn't seem too broken but pretty good. I hope the OP doesn't mind my asking a question related to this quest. I'm doing it now and the Pokedex says 'Area Unknown' for Mareanie, Toxipex, Staryu, Starme, Chinhou and Lanturn so where do I find these Pokemon?
  14. Right no, I went by the floors in the store so accidentally counted the 1st floor. My bad.
  15. There are 8 stamps currently right? If so then I have them all! 10k is a bit steep but doable. That makes me feel a bit better because I do want to do this quest as I do want the Froakie and the Karma. I feel Blastoisite would perhaps be suitable as a reward for this considering the long ass Goomink quest process for the Swamperite. Or perhaps a broken ass crest like Bastiodon's but for a rare water-type such as Phione.
  16. As I said judging from Youtube I grant that this does appear to be very annoying as does the Tangrowth puzzle and I am not that great at puzzles, timed, chase or otherwise. I'm glad that I did this arc in V12 and to be honest I feel the trials inside the manor itself were a bit more authentic in V12. These timed and chase puzzles feel theatrical and a bit desperate to add a challenge although I do believe the expansion of the manor's appearance with the ghost trees in East Gearen was an improvement upon it just being there and then gone after drawing so little attention. It being more of an intrusive phenomenon made a bit more sense even though it's appearance still remains unexplained and Marionette nicknaming the MC is cute. I'm a teeny bit sad that I missed the nicknaming but otherwise I'm good.
  17. 35 Pokemon for a Froakie isn't as bad as 500 in Reborn although in Reborn it is pretty balanced because Froakie is one of several rewards including a Megastone and a Z-Crystal in a Pokedex filling quest and I believe the ultimate reward is Poipol. Most of the time, I can stand grinding for quite a bit before I start getting impatient therefore I can probably deal with this. My biggest grievance with V13 is that the audino grinder on route 9 who I used to favor for Healing Wish now has damage moves and the exp he gives has been nerfed but what I'm finding most annoying about what's been said of this quest here is the requirement of Link Heart evolutions. Link Hearts are an uncommon item in the game so I am not a fan of having to use them on Pokemon that I won't be using. I'd appreciate the Froakie and the Karma but can see how a Froakie and a Super Rod are lackluster rewards for that amount of work and heavily unbalanced so that there is essentially no gain for those who chose Froakie as their starter. I agree with @Cyphre that a Megastone or a Z-Crystal should be thrown into the mix if not swapped for the Super Rod. Funny thing, I had no idea that we didn't have the Super Rod at this point and I am not sure how early this quest can be done but as others have stated it's a rather useless prize for those continuing pre-V13 saves such as myself. I'm not much of a fisher regardless as I am not a big fan of most fishing encounters, the only reason the Good Rod has been an asset to me is for Heart Scale farming. I can live without the Super Rod (since this isn't Floral Tempus which seems to require the Super Rod to get Luvdisc and as far as I am aware still isn't available 7 badges in even though the move relearner is).
  18. You can get both. There is a second chance at the one not chosen in Hidden Library 3 in the next installment of that questline much later but be warned, it requires a choice that counts towards bad ending calc. Therefore, be careful with the Hidden Library 3 choice as you might want to be sure you get the one you want (more) then.
  19. Damn. I was confused at first but am glad I figured it out before I won. Not that I was even close, Hapi was wrecking me.
  20. It's more beneficial to lose that battle as to win is to not see through the deception from the in-game perspective. Though I am interested in seeing the dialogue if you win.
  21. This is not a bad theory. It fits into the remaining blank of how Team Xen had Melia to give to Jenner and we know through Zetta that Team Xen can perform cloning and has. Come to think of it the Zetta in the SON had tried to talk to Melia but Risa intervened because we were pressed for time. Perhaps he'd intended to reveal something of this nature to her? Regardless I still believe Variya is in there somewhere.
  22. Oh same. Most of the time I just use Fire Punch and save Flare Blitz for when I need a heavy fire powered one-shot or finisher. Same with any recoil move (Wild, Charge, Brave Bird etc.)
  23. I don't understand the reason people believe Maria and Marionette are separate entities. Maria is called Marionette several times in the prolog which seems to occur on the morning of Maria's death and at the end of the Crysolia Manor event Marionette remembers that her true name is Maria. As far as I am concerned this establishes that Marionette is an alternate name Indraid forced onto Maria for whatever reason. I believe that Melia is a reincarnation of Maria as Aelita is of Vivian and Taelia, that as it appears that a similar ritual to that Vivian performed on herself was used for the sacrifice of Maria it must have been interrupted somehow (perhaps by the MC and/or Venom in the officer event in their attempt to save her?), thus creating the same curse. Now, with the new information in V13, there seems to be another layer building. There are hints of a connection between Melia and the MC. It starts after her alleged death, on the pier Ren tells the MC: "You might have just met her but you two seemed to click right away as though you'd known each other for years." It's been pointed out in my thread about the MC's past that the location of her interaction with Emma is said to be Zeigth if the game is saved and reloaded during this event and at the end of V13, Melia can be found standing outside the Obelisk claiming that it called out to her but when she tried to enter said: "not yet". Her transformation is also said to be similar to that of the MC during the Puppet Master battle including baring the symbol of the core and someone said that when Melia first "awakened" her powers in the destroyed AU, Variya appeared behind her. Note: that I'm pretty sure the latter wasn't in V12 but is an alteration is V13. Variya is the woman who has appeared alongside Adrest in flashbacks of him so it's just occurred to me a bit ago, could Vayira be resting within Melia as Adrest rests within the MC? Is Melia possibly an interceptor as well, perhaps the MC's true co-host in some form of contrary to Zeight claiming it's Crescent? She is actually more responsible for both the creation and fate of the AU than the MC is. As to the reason Melia's body has rejected the Archetype, the Archetype was probably released upon Maria's death then placed into Melia and while Erin, Alice, Allen and Maria are literal fragments of the Archetype that were split and assumed human forms, Melia is not. Even if she is a reincarnation of Maria, she is physically not Maria. Consider how it is unclear whether or not Aelita could summon Vivian's Regirock if she wanted to since she is physically not Vivian nor does she identify as Vivian.
  24. I didn't end up using it, I got so distracted with surviving the absurdities of the battle that I managed to forget about it although I had equipped it. I tried to test it in a wild battle after completing the main story but it wasn't functional. It must just be for boss battles which is understandable. All I know from Youtube is that Z-Illusion is Substitute.
