  1. From what I've heard, it's in the den directly north of the entrance to the Wispy Ruins from Route 4. Apparently, it will only show up if you have 8 badges,
  2. I recall seeing one in Aquamarine Cave.
  3. No, just drag the folders in and it should prompt you with the option to replace the existing files (as only some are getting replaced, not all of them). Alternatively, you can open the folders and drag the files directly into their respective folders.
  4. 1. Download it from the Dev Blog. 2. Open the Pokemon Rejuvenation Folder. 3. Paste it and replace the folders and files with the ones provided by the patch.
  5. Phantump can be found as overworld encounters in the wispy ruins, which become available after the fourth badge. The egg pokemon is predetermined from the moment you choose your starter, meaning you can't load a save to cheese it. The following post lists the available pokemon:
  6. I've been having trouble finding the lost children in this version. I seem to be missing two, notably the one who sells ev-reducing berries. Could anyone inform me of their locations? Much appreciated.
  7. So me and many other posters on this site love to constantly bitch and whine about the state of the game. I thought that this overflow of negativity would be discouraging and quite upsetting to the otherwise diligent developers of the game. Therefore, I invite people to post something you LOVE about V13. Feel free to go into as much detail you desire. Personally, I found all the new regional forms to look and work fantastically and has made me want to try all of them out; everything about route 4 was an amazing idea, it gives off a soothing ambience and offers much utility; and the early game rewrites were critical to my enjoyment of future character interactions.
  8. The characters were massively improved in V13. The plot still continues to be problematic, but the characters are much more memorable and relatable now in my opinion. The only problem I have with them now is that there are too many (which makes them lose their uniqueness).
  9. I believe it was implied somewhere that there is a rift pokemon near Neverwinter, which we have yet to visit. It could be a Gen 8 pokemon.
  10. OP, I agree that Rejuvenation's story is deeply flawed, but I don't agree with everything you said. Therefore, I'll give my opinion (for V12, I am barely finished with the Erick fight in this version) and more concise grievances with the game's plot: There are too many characters. Many of them are irrelevant and hog up the screen time. This is especially noticeable in v13 content (haven't reached GDC in V13, so I'm unsure as to how the rest stacks up now); they're here to stay, so they should instead have less dialogue (especially during scenes with tons of characters). I like Huey a lot, but his existence is largely irrelevent to the story. The villain's objectives are rather vague. Team Xen wants to save their loved ones, but we get no hint as to how that would be accomplished. Team Xen's motives are fine, but are rather overused. Indriad wants to destroy the world for some inexplicable reason; he has no valid motives to do so, and this makes him as ridiculous as Maxie and Archie. The game has too many exposition dumps, and are each rather long. This is extremely apparent in V13, and while I love the reveals that occurred, the dialogue was too excessive to the point that it was difficult to process was going on (in path 3, at least). The other two paths are fine story wise, but have too little gameplay in between. It would have been better if the exposition was more spread out throughout the game. There is no issue with how outlandish the game became. Pokemon is a weird series, and the multiple universes thing was established by ORAS. The problem is that there are no established rules to how magic (and other additions) functions, it's limitations, or how these relate to the pokemon. Karen gives a brief statement in the starly sidequest and that's about it. For instance, there is no info on where the time crystals came from, and the ligosomnia machine being able to bring things into reality is questionable, since we know nothing about the platinum component. The early-game rewrites were good and drastically improved the characters, but did not improve the plot all that much. One issue I had was that Sariah has no reason to trust Geara, because to her he's an outsider. So the Goldenleaf arc is worse because of this. Also the Madame X introduction was worse due to my next point. The game has a severe case of gameplay and story dissonance. The pokemon exist in the gameplay but characters forget they exist in the story. For instance, Nancy retrieves her Sylveon instead of ordering it to attack Madame X, and she is somehow able to break Sylveon's reflect. This scene (and others) tries to be cool but ends up being cringeworthy because characters abandon basic logic; the rest of Blacksteeple is pretty great now though. This problem is amplified with certain battles, such as with Giratina (both encounters) and the Evil Gardevoir; you are required to win these to continue, but beating them changes nothing. Gameplay-wise, they are supposed to faint, yet still continue messing with the player afterwards simply because the story demands it. This is also happens with the Geara and Zetta fight, where even if Melia's and your pokemon survive, they are powerless to do anything in the situation; if the giratina battle didn't exist, the scene would play out much better. There are many other instances of such things happening, and they end up being a time waster for the player. This is the largest problem with Rejuvenation's story in my opinion. The game also has some minor issues related to balance, but those are beside the point, and will certainly be addressed. Hopefully, the story issues will be addressed before the game's final version. Fortunately, its major problems are concentrated in one aspect when compared to something like Reborn. I should probably make an appreciation post one day, we bombast the game too much.
  11. Yeah, this is a gripe I've been having with the AI. Geara used to switch in his Gengar to focus blast my Magnezone, but after giving it a chople berry, he swapped to his Chandelure instead. I just think that the opponent automatically knowing your entire set up is a faulty manner of balancing the game.
  12. I have asked myself this question multiple times before, and I don't think it has a clear cut answer. You'd first have to ask yourself: What exactly are the intrinsic characteristics of a pokemon game? Is it mostly story or gameplay related? OP states that the mechanic philosophy might distance it enough from a pokemon game; and sure, Rejuvenation has level caps, raid styled bosses, lots of double battles with a partner, forced losses, harder battles, etc. But other games such as Radical Red also deviate from the established official pokemon formula. So gamplay-wise, Rejuvenation is undoubtedly a pokemon game. When it comes to the story, Rejuvenation is certainly more ambitious and takes more artistic liberties than you would normally see in an official pokemon game. And while the execution can be cringey and stupid at times, I don't think the concepts themselves are too outlandish in the context of the pokemon universe. For instance, in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire a bunch of guys inexplicably fuse together to create Mr. Bonding. There are numerous Psychics and Ghosts running around in the games too. If you include the anime, Ash gets turned into a pikachu by a Witch in one episode. And if you take the Pokedex seriously, then the Ninetales's entry mentions a legend concerning wizards; Kadabra's entry mentions that a psychic boy transformed into it; and Golurk's entry states that it was created by ancient civilization. In summary: the plot would work a lot better if the characters acknowledged that pokemon exist outside of battles. That is the primary issue that the game has yet to address. The outlandishness is not something new to rejuvenation.
  13. In this... essay, you make various valid points concerning the questing system. However, considering you list identical characteristics as both strengths and weaknesses of the system, I am unsure as to what would be a proper solution in your mind. The reality is that the help center's centralization (at least for learning about quests and receiving rewards) is rather useful to have in such a large game, since a player would be susceptible to forgetting an NPC's specific location. Perhaps an overhaul of how it works would be an improvement, but the help centers themselves are fine in my opinion. I also feel that your conclusion is rather harsh and hyperbolic for what seems to be a couple of minor problems.
  14. I concur, the early game was always a bit grindy due to the lack of a reliable way to gain exp quickly. However, having access to quick ev training and the move relearner early game kind of made up for it. This change messes with the central idea behind the game's difficulty: creatively finding a way to counter your opponent's team (can't do this now unless you keep grinding). This doesn't make the game more difficult, only more tedious; and I'm disappointed by this change, since I believed this was something Rejuvenation did far better than Reborn.
  15. Overworld encounter. The issue is that I have absolutely no idea how to evolve it.
  16. The regional paras (still bug) is in corrupted cave behind Sheridan. Both rock climb and spice powder are required. Also, regional lapras is in the Amethyst Depths. Requires rock climb.
  17. Yeah, it seems like it. You're supposed to get rock smash after the first gym badge. Don't know what's going on, maybe redownload the game to see if it fixes it? In case something similar happens with other HM's.
  18. Looks good! This update will surely cause my blood pressure to skyrocket once again .
  19. You can also get an onix by finding the hiker near the train station a house. Perhaps you'll find it useful.
  20. It read as follows: "Day X, Year X, Month X... No matter how many times I try... I find myself in this loop of failure. But I must not fail. If I fail this means the end of humanity as we know it. That wretched old fool has created the catalyst to end the world as we know it. I've seen it. I've seen the horror this world will be known to. I shall stop this at any cost. Even if it costs the lives of myself and my friends. The one who will save us all. I have seen them as well. Their name was-". I was thinking that perhaps knowing the name written on the notebook either caused the interceptor to make certain choices, or their peers once they had been informed about it, that foiled Team Xen's plans. Something like this would incentivize Madame X to travel back in time to fix the anomaly. I don't know, perhaps Madame X and Crescent are trying to out-time travel each other? Like, why wouldn't Madame X just kidnap a younger Melia and use her instead? The rift pokemon book would have to come from the future, right? It was stated that only Zetta could create dimensional rifts (at least among Team Xen). The individual writing the book also seemed to have much experience with both Shadow and Rift pokemon, there are not many individuals who would have such ample experience with both of these and the complex procedures in the book. That said, the key to enter the building was besides where Indriad's gardevoir stood, so it could be Indriad's base as well.
  21. These were my thoughts too, I'd imagine that if they were gonna be a stereotypically evil team (this is a reborn-esque game so no) they would have mentioned it much earlier in the story. It seems that Madame X, with all her shenanigans, is attempting to guide the MC to take a specific path and choices. If she weren't I'd see no reason for why she took the notebook in Kugearen City before the MC finished reading it (might have affected the timeline in an unfavorable way), and it likely belongs to her, as the place looks similar to a Team Xen base and she seems to be the only Xen member to actively time travel.
  22. Yeah, I think this opinion is going to be nearly universal here. I have many problems with the game and I constantly want to make that clear, but that is solely because this is likely my favorite pokemon game and I want it to be the best it can be; and I believe the current state of many plot points is a huge blockage to that goal. I merely wanted to clarify that I did not create this thread with any bad intentions, and I'm sure many of the grievances that I and others have expressed here have already been remedied by Jan and Zumi.
  23. As of the current moment what do you people believe will be Team Xen's motivations? Currently it seems that they're opposing Indriad, but then I don't know why Geara would join them. From Madelis's conversation with Neved, it appears to be implied that they have vastly different reasons for joining the organization. Also, how much do the admins know of Madame X's objective? I would imagine she's keeping many things hidden from them.
