  1. Oh that's some nice stuff including Scraggy and Gastly (That's a good nickname too, Kreia is awesome). Also wow you get Gastly way earlier here than in Reborn. Like it's a sidequest in V18, where you're team is in the late 80's. Hopefully that "Reaper Cloth" has been washed or it really will kill someone. Violent revolution and matricide, just what Pokemon was missing all this time. About how that Gastly works. . . at this it's probably better to just attempt to roll with it. It'll be better for your blood pressure and mental state. Also I gotta read it during the day time because dude when you upload it's like 4 am where I live at. I gotta sleep man!
  2. Parent of the year, this Matthew guy. Could at least send of postcard or something dude. Well if nothing else, Shuckle is a good Pokemon to use a wall to stall for time in a tough fight. Silvally is honestly one of my favorite Gen 7 mons and I like the gimmick around it. Just gotta find all those discs for it, you've probably picked up a couple at some point. Also fighting the mon yourself is totally valid, Jessie did it with her Seviper and that went well. Also the stuff in Wispy Tower, I guess since you didn't go through here in the most recent versions that's what's setting off the cutscenes. Be funny if you could do the current version of that fight with Geara with the team you have now. Well you're essentially immortal so you're already like half way to godhood. So there's that.
  3. You were doomed the moment you made that name an option for Togepi, just be sure to make it as awkward as humanly possible the next time you meet our favorite blond. The fact that it's a shiny is just a beautiful bit of irony. I actually didn't choose the obvious option because I figured you've suffered enough for the time being but I'm clearly in the minority lol. Man I would have killed for some moo-moo milk at the point in the game, Super Potions were just BARELY cutting it with Geara and Narcissa, to the point it was easier in the long run for me to just let a mon faint than try to partially heal them. (Helped that it wasn't a Nuzlocke but still) The bit with Abomination made me laugh way harder than I should have, the eyebrow gif caught me off guard. Beautiful drawings, truly you are the heir to Ken Sugimori. With the rapping skills to rival Eminem, truly. Also I'm glad this isn't a comic run, because then even One Piece would end before this odyssey ever finished. Crobat is a pretty cool mon, but the way you have to go about getting literally the most common mon in the series is odd. At least it's a short and not a hellish battle against a like level 80 something Crobat. The side stuff in Goldenleaf and the surrounding buildings, it's actually pretty interesting stuff. I can't wait to see you go through it, like unironically. I think it's some of the better sidequest stuff in the game really.
  4. Real talk Jan probably just didnt want anyone to get access to Drizzle early on, It'd be a neat gimmick for a Nuzlocke if you'd ended up cycling through each of the player avatar's each time you wiped in a battle. Then when you ran out, THEN it'd be a permanent game over. It'd be a hell and a half to edit, but it'd be cool. Gotta admit the Melia tapes were pretty cute, definitely a good addition from the most recent versions. Nothing wierd about a 20 something rifling through the things of teenage girl, now if you'd come down to the station I'm sure we can straighten this out. Also age thing, honestly I doubt many on this site is younger than late teens. Like I don't see a middle or elementary anting to deal with all the BS that these games throw your way. Zira taste for the the flesh of man continues to be unslated. . . for now. Maybe feed her some Team Xen grunts, that might tide her over. Oh yeah this fight, oh boy that would be a nasty surprise for anyone who just started this game. At least you didn't lose anyone. Also it just makes me think of Pounce, and then kinda just bums me out. Feels like a lifetime ago, even then in game it probably been a week or two at most.
  5. Zolt is a now a might Magnezone. I expect great things outta him, used one in playthrough of Sun. Decimated everything that didn't pointedly resist it's attacks, good times. The whole Dufaux plotline is a trip from beginning to end. Also your betrayal was surely sudden and inevitable. And it works better than Narcissa just standing there and just letting Dufaux use time magic on her. Meanwhile your team's main contribution to this episode is essentially a Roast session of yourself. Well time for that vacation before the game throws you headfirst back into the grinder again. Have fun. . . hopefully!
  6. Well no one died and you got something (eventually) useful out of it, I consider that a win in itself. Probably the closest thing you're going to get to a breather in this game, so enjoy it while you can! It's always fun seeing you go back to old areas and seeing what the most recent Versions have changed. Also highlights how long you've been at this. The stuff in Part 1 looks like it was from a different game altogether. Well that's 2 sidequests down, fingers crossed hoping the rest don't turn out like the one with the bridge. . . Also Rose continue's to be one of the highlights of this quest, she's just adorable.
  7. Well at least you updated this one unlike a certain other run. . . . Oh man I forgot about the weird battling system for this part of the sidequest. True to form, you clearly had a ball doing to editing for it. I'm hoping at some point in game Jan just gives us a chance to deck Madame X/Indriad/Angie whoever the hell is going to be the final antagonist of this game. It would be EXTREMELY cathartic. It's cool seeing some more of your less used Pokemon like Bloom, especially in sidequests like this with almost no battling whatsoever. But hey less chances for dying so there's that. Also hey a Hoothoot, that's something I guess. It honestly looks gorgeous and it's apparently by the same people who are doing those beautiful redraw Johto pictures I've seen on twitter. Yeah that was disheartening, I had what I thought was a pretty dope team forming around a speed boost Venipede. Eh, normal playthrough works just as well. At least Karen is trapped in the "Unown" Dimension for the time being so that's one less headache to worry about.
  8. And the plot has been derailed and I love it. This is the kind of stuff I live for in these screenshot/written Pokemon stories. I was half expecting this story to just go the way of canon, but the trick with Crowphet was brilliant. So was the battle with Solaris, it was tense as all hell and was made retroactively all the more so by the fact that the whole endeavor was a hair away from complete disaster.
  9. As crazy as this sidequest is and how much damage your sanity takes from dealing with Karen for an extended period of time, it's honestly better than being thrown into a hideously difficult battle and losing god knows how many mons. Like real talk, some of the sidequest battles have been horrifying from a Nuzlocke perspective and they're only getting worse as time goes on. . . . but you probably already know this. After that Conkeldurr incident. What I'm saying is I don't envy you at all ( I tried to Nuzlocke Desolation and got bodied by the first major battle by a skill link Aipom, fun times. . . ) Okay on a funnier/happier note. at least Karrina is being kinda okay to be around, not having to deal with Melia is helping everyone chill apparently. Also yeah those graphical differences, say what you will, Jan gets full mileage out of tools he has available. Rejuvenation is honestly a darn pretty game. Time for the Unown dimension, watch out for any fake Entei.
  10. You're back and in typical fashion you pick probably the "worst" of the Help Missions. All this bull with Sakitron and Anti-Assist, and then comes the punchline at the end, I could only laugh. Also you're sprite editing is pretty great. Also RIP Roll, he's an HM slave but losing a Pokemon to Anti-Assist is always gonna be galling. They're side villains at best! Though how much you wanna bet by the end of the game it's revealed they're being bankrolled by Team Xen. All and all great chapter to get back into the game with, we shall watch your suffering with great interest.
  11. Probably the only reason Gyarados is so good early on is that there aren't a whole lot of powerful enemy Electric type Pokemon or move users to make you think twice about using it. At least that's what I think anyways. Also on the subject of Pokemon I've always wondered how you guys decided on teams for various characters? Mostly Melia, Ren, etc or the various Xen admins. Or would that be too spoilery?
  12. Yeah Erin and Aelita are my favs. Though I'd honestly switch them around. Also Zumi take a vacation please after v13 comes out, this is a HUGE amount of work for
  13. I've started a Nuzlocke of Desolation, this might be a terrible idea but hey let's see how it goes.

Holy shit I nearly got wiped by a Panpour. Thank god Hypnosis worked for once.

  14. Man this is beyond cool.
  15. Someone needs to give Keta a sandwich or five desperately. All of them look great I gotta say.
  16. You know there's easier ways to get out of playing Rejuv right? Real talk take care man and get better soon. Also sign me up for whatever disaster adventure you have planned.
  17. For that HM slave joke, your ticket to heck has been paid in full. Poor Coyote, probably bad call keeping him in against that Primarina but you really had no other options. Also yeah this is around the point that even the random trainers and grunts start to become threats. I remember seeing some trainers in GDC pull out X items so have fun there. Also 30 Pokemon dead?! 5 full teams of mons dead, that honestly sucks. Honestly this adventure stopped remotely being worth the cost after Blacksteeple. I think that stink may have had an effect on people in West Gearan, because half the residents seemed unhinged. Not including Karen who is next level insane, I'm honestly not sure who is worse her or Terra from Reborn. Also that's what you get for trying to dodge the plot. You say that about Litten now, but considering your track record with Fire types in this game. . . . Also yeah, the potential for variety is countered by the thought of some truly nightmarish battles if you think about it. Honestly not worth it lol.
  18. Man that really bites about Damocles, dude was a go-to Pokemon for you behind Rose, Chiller, and Ceaser. Yeah I gotta agree with you about fangame gym leader teams, they've gotten kinda predictable in the "What's the best way to almost totally negate the weaknesses of this type based team". There could stand to be gym leaders like Blue from HGSS or maybe just based off a theme instead of type at least. Time for the filler arc sidequests, have fun away from the main plot!
  19. Poor Bombardier, killed by the heavily biased field effects. At least it wasn't to another out of nowhere legendary Pokemon? The game at times feels like it was written with the player character as an afterthought in a lot of scenes. It's kinda jarring to say the least. But now is the time for side quests and whatever changes that the new version brough to the table. Though you should probably go through decontamination first. . .and burn everything that was on you during your fun trip to the sewers.
  20. I just went with my Vannilish which I was HOPING would be able to tank one hit from Drifblim and roll from there. I got TREMENDOUSLY lucky with that critical Ice Beam turn 1. My heart sank when I saw that seed activate. It was still an uphill battle, but that it made me breath a little easier. Also I was praying to various gods that my computer didn't crash and I wouldn't have to start all over so that was fun lol.
  21. Oh god I finally beat Geara! I'd like to give thanks to Roxie my Weezing for Poisoning an lowering the accuracy of most of his team. She was the real MVP! Also props to Bodhi the Torterra for hanging in there and dealing the final blow to the Giratina.

Oh holy shit that's amazing! I completely forgot about that mon, I'd better pick that up next time I'm in game so I don't forget it again lmao

edit: @Dex sweet stuff! I literally just soft-reset until I could get Drifblim's hypnosis to whiff on my Duskanroc. Unburden is one hell of a drug, I'll tell you that much lol! I swapped the field to blessed and nearly lost to Mimikyu because of it. After that nightmare reduced half my team to red, I was able to OHKO two of her mons with Duskanroc's Thrash (since normal is SE on ghost in blessed field). I also seriously lucked out with like three Ominous Wind Boosts in a row, allowing me to clean up Rotom and Dusclops, leaving only Chandelure, who was a total cakewalk for Duskanroc.

Tell me about it, I went in flat out expecting to lose. At the end of the day you kinda just have to grit your teeth and hang in there with these battles.

Mosely blessed you with her loli luck.  You better pray to the loli goddess ASAP boi.

  22. You actually could have put a rag around your face or something along with the goggles, but that wouldn't have been as funny. Also it'd make you look like some kind of bandit from Fallout. Bah of course the damn thing would be Part Dark, I guess to keep the player from rolling over it with the number of Psychic types you have available to you by this point in the game. Spider Sludge should be in Into the Spider-Verse 2, I demand it. Also telegraphing that Macross death a little, aren't you. I bet it's because of that damn terrain during the second battle. Wow, if it wasn't for the green water (which I'm sure is more nuclear waste than sewage, better watch for any extra appendages growing later), the sewers would look almost livable. Well they emphasis on would if the Dimensional Rift Toxic Avenger wasn't around. Probably the safest bet would be to decontaminate or burn everything on you. Like when I first started reading this like a year or two ago, I honestly did think you posted this as you played. But that would actually take ages to do in retrospect. EDIT: Also I finally beat Geara and Narcissa (First Try in Fact!). I want to thank you for inspiring me to use the Vanillite line, guy saved my butt big time against Narcissa.
  23. I gotta agree on the design of the region. There are some beautiful looking locations in this game, and all on what is essentially GBA/ Nintendo DS graphics.
  24. I think I like the idea of having the replies here. Also, oh wow Part Three is 80 plus chapters. Well there is a hell of a lot of story to go through for this game. Oh man I can't wait for the Bad Future Arc (even though that is ages away), the stuff that goes on there lol. Time for the other half of Gearan City, can't be much worse than the other. . . . right? At the very least the side quests don't seem so bad. . . though considering your track record. . . . Venam and Melia continue to be almost endearingly dumb at times (well to me, it's probably much harder to deal with in person), though them increasingly reacting to your shenanigans/calling them on their shit is increasingly my favorite part of this run. Also finally context for that Karrina/Melia edited picture from way back (I completely forgot Melia drop kicks this girl, like what the hell). Also your Karrina conspiracy theory honestly doesn't sound that far fetched compared to everything that has happened so far. Pirates of the Aevium league. If you're Jack Sparrow does that make Melia Barbossa and Venam . . . the monkey? Also, Jan upped the difficulty for Versions 11 and 12 like a lot even on Normal. Doesn't help Geara has like 3 or 4 mons that run Dazzling Gleam, rendering my Pangoro a liability. I'll just continue to watch you suffer live vicariously through you.
  25. As far as I can tell all the images were up, so that's a plus I guess. Also obligatory "it's been 10'000 years!" and all that. Best part about this is that I can see what happens without having to play myself! (Being nowhere near skilled at Pokemon to get through Rejuvenation as it is now, like holy hell Geara is murdering me at the Radio Tower). At least there was a Pokemon battle in this segment. . . though it was so inconsequential you chose to resolve the issue with the People's Elbow instead. Wish that was an actual option in the game, especially for a lot of the Grunt Gauntlets Rejuvenation likes to through your way. Madame X saving you still makes no sense, you'd think she'd jump at a chance to be finally rid of the greatest threat to her plans. Funniest parts of this whole Chapter were the Black Sludge gag and you throwing the Doom Orb at Melia. Also "A new timeline has been created". . . at least the game was nice enough to tell you your action had consequences I guess. Better than being utterly blindsided. . . unlike a certain other Pokemon fangame. Also, also: considering where you're at reuploading the Reborn Run, have you ever considered doing a Q and A for Rejuvenation? Like when you hit Chapter 100 or something like that. Could be cool.
