  1. It’s more likely that hers knows it as a means to make her stronger. NPC’s technically don’t have to play by the rules
  2. Is Grookey Available beyond just obtaining as a starter?
  3. I think raid bosses are fine though field effects probably hyper tune them to be absurd. Giratina was actually just insane to do the first time i fought him and status wasn’t doing much. That said, I’m noting a huge design flaw in the game where defense is just so bad in compared to offense. Your opponents do so much damage that resisted hits still put you in 2-hit KO range on bulky Pokémon or it’s a double battle which makes defense inherently harder to pull off because the nature of damage is STILL just as high. I think shields are okay, they’re not too bad otherwise
  4. Speed is far and away the best stat in this game because of how the terrains turn every mon into wrecking balls or in rare occassions, difficult to kill walls. In my opinion, you often prioritize a pokemons Offenses and support them with speed control abilities/moves. Defense usually doesn't work because double battles make those tactics more exploitable and field effects makes most mons into decent wallbreakers unless you go out of your way to change the nature of the field. I'd say that in normal mode at least. Hyper Offense with one or 2 defensive pivots and a pokemon to set up speed control through moves like Tailwind or Sticky webs is you win most fights
  5. did you return and talk to the front desk clerk, i believe they give it to you then
  6. Before explaining, I want to prefacing by stating that none of my problems with this game are specifically connected to the dev's or are indicators of them being poor at their job, V13 is so far is a fantastic game and I enjoy it very much but I'm noticing a very huge problem when it comes to Boss Encounters and Gym Battles that's really destroying the fundamental design of Pokémon for a lot of players. I should say that this is a reflection of Normal mode, not intense or Casual mode. A huge part of playing Pokémon comes from ones desire to use their favorites, it's never really about playing the most optimal Pokémon and training them in the best way possible, but you can argue that those that play intense mode commit to the grind that comes with solving the puzzle which is largely a tedious grind of searching for counters via, exploiting the field, the movepool, the stats etc.. but Normal mode is generally designed with a bumpy but enjoyable experience proportional to the amount of power needed to overcome specific challenges. The issue is Field Effects Lets get to the battle at hand Geara & Zetta on valor mountain is probably one of the worst designed fights in the game up until this point and I mean this with great respect for the games prior challenges. the reasons are as follows: Volcano Top Field is designed to punish Rock, Ice, and water but those types. Alolan ninetales for example should be able to change the field to snow top with using blizzard, but that requires 2 turns, and Typhlosion can change it back with one single eruption from snow top. Their Pokémon have all possible coverage options needed for them to survive, and the nature of a double battle reduces the effective options of defensive pokemon as they'll either steal turns with rock slide flinches, or just double up on a defensive Pokémon's slot and subsequently killing it. Melia's movepool and stat spread make no sense. according to the wiki https://rejuvenation.fandom.com/wiki/Melia/Act_1_Normal_Difficulty None of her pokemon have any electric type coverage making the field harder for her to battle on, and her Hydreigon has no Dragon stab or comparable coverage to deal with opposing threats like dragonite. her gardevoir is also carrying 100 Def, 252 HP, and 52 DF eves with focus blast as opposed to thunderbolt. Her meganium has dual screens but her AI seems to be position it in such a way that it's one of the LAST few Pokémon to ever be used from her which makes it basically worthless from a contribution stand point, meanwhile Geara's Prankster Grimmsnarl is 100% guaranteed to get at least one of the light screen or reflect up which only makes the gyrados (who's set isn't on the wiki for some reason) even harder to kill. This feels like a incredibly punishing spread for her in normal mode Bugs, Gengar actually out sped my Talonflame on the sky field after having used cinderace to bounce us their even though Gale Wings should always be active This did cost me an attempt since the gengar has proper stat spreads and is capable of 1 shotting just about anything available That's just a few of the issues but generally speaking, I think the balance here wasn't handled very well. while having to compare this to older versions, the writing feels so much better and the story and presentation are amazing but it feels like the game balance is a bit undercooked which leads to very feast or famine boss encounters. either you're one sided stomping your opponent by going out of your way to develop the perfect counter with properly ev trained party members or you're getting curbed stomped as a result of field effects making Pokémon way stronger than they otherwise should be. Toxapex for example is one of the best walls in the competitive scene for Pokémon and it feels super difficult to use in boss encounters because field effects give free damage to the opponent. this leads to lopsided speed arms race where Pokémon like Talonflame with priority tailwind feel like a perquisite to play the game because speed is far and away too strong. Trick room likewise is just another method of ensuring you win the speed war and the defensive capabilities of a Pokémon just don't feel viable in this game. Personally, I think Field effects should just be removed from the game, but that's apart of the identity so I don't see such a thing happening and I do find them to charming in some cases, but as it stands. it feels like the balance is skewed a bit too far in favor of the opponent in every single fight. I think the geara & zetta fight is over tuned for normal mode to an absurd degree. I'm also personally just not a fan of having to retrain and relevel Pokémon to beat specific encounters because this game has a lot to offer and that feels time consuming after awhile. I'm currently doing a playthrough of the game and it feels like I've hit a brick wall with every boss encounter that forces me to cut away to go catch train, and level a silver bullet Pokémon and that doesn't feel fun for someone looking to have a tense but smooth experience. This is just my suggestion, I don't claim to be a brilliant game designer and I'm sure someone believes that if I catch X mon I'd be able to win. Maybe that is true, but I still feel that the game currently has a very feast or famine structure with it's notable encounters leading to very grindy sections that just kill the pacing. If the solution is drop down to casual mode, I feel like that isn't necessarily my fault since I'm already committed to ev training and searching for these mons but perhaps I just need to get better. At the time of posting this, i was unware that v13.0.3 was released which did indeed balance re-balance the mt.Valor fight. I want to apologize to the devs for this error
  7. Thank you guys, I found a strat to win!
  8. With the removal of Lycanroc, Crawli has become much harder to deal with, his coverage options are incredibly strong for this point in the game and speed has become even more of a deciding factor as he has sticky web on a sashed galvantula turn 1 and an Ariados that gets a free turn thanks to access to the Telluric Seed. Realistically speaking, his coverage is just insane for his set up, Fire-type pokemon have always been mediocre against him because of the perpetual rain, leaving Rock Types and Flying-types but the Flying type doesn't have alot of effective options. Talonflame is probably the best one, but galewings nerf makes him alot harder to use in a double battle. Pidgeot, and Noctowl are too slow and galvantula forces you to kill it through sash before you can use either. Rock types are also not that good anymore because all of the current options with the exception of swift swim Drednaw are slower than both his leads and even then, they both get 2 turns to just punish you anyway. This culminates in a set up of 2 Bug types that get 2 turns to attack you, one gets a free plus 1, they both have fantastic coverage for Rock, Flying, and Fire types or any combination of the 3 types thanks to giga drain(I believe he still has this on galvantula), thunder in rain, and stomping tantrum, sticky web set up forever losing you the speed advantage, and on top of all this. it's all focused on his first 2 pokemon. I've used a multitude of combinations of these pokemon and i can't break the set up Solrock drednaw Cinderace Primarina Weezing (reg) Toxapex Pyukumyuku Altaria (Honestly terrible) If anyone knows of a silver bullet pokemon that i missed, please let me know, because as it stands. crawli just seems way too stacked without having access to the speed advantaged provided by Lycanroc, accelrock being stab priority mattered alot when it came to cleaning up turns
  9. Hey there, If you do spriting. Im in need of some copy paste work. Please DM if you're interested in helping me. Thank you!

    We're almost there
  11. I think a murder mystery on the train would’ve been very cool but probably as a side quest since I don’t think the story was leaning towards one. A murder mystery in rejuv would be cool in general though but we all know geara did it
  12. So I should say that I rejuvenation is one of my favorite games ever. This can be attributed towards it's larger than life story, it's relatively endearing (but incredibly expansive) cast, and the fact that it's a fun take on an era of pokemon that has been gone since generation 6. That said, critically, it's writing isn't very good. Characters feel almost completely devoid of a purpose beyond stopping team Xen. Melia for example doesn't necessarily need a reason given her circumstances, but why are Adam, Saki, Braixen, and Valarie invested in the quest of the main cast. (ADAM FLAT OUT SAYS HE'S NOT REALLY THAT INVOLVED IN IT ALL) But, my problems are personal on an individual level. 1. Melia is a mary-sue, and it's painfully annoying to watch her on screen for more than a minute at a time, she rarely ever fails practically speaking(mostly cause of the MC), but when the group fails. She consistently makes it about herself. When jenner dies and she leaves MC and Venam in order to head to the past; I almost had a heart attack because her reasoning was hypocritical. My Mother just died at the end of the previous arc, and your father dies here. WHY abandon me now? 2. Venam exist as melia's side character and has barely any development that we witness on her own. we REALLY need to get paired with her again because the last time it was just Venam and MC. It was during my favorite part of the game (The portion in Kugearen City) but even then. She doesn't necessarily improve or grow as a person. If she does, the message is lost immediately because of how the main story over shadows it. 3. Ren DESPERATELY needs screen time, but the bits with the MC in version 11 and 12 are alot of fun. he's my 2nd favorite of the main cast. 4. Aelita is absolutely handled the best here, in fact. the Where Love Lies portion of the story is all fantastically done because it focused on 2 characters and the threads binding them. Vivians incarnations and Keta, the protagonist isn't here to fix all the problems, (we even actively cause problems in v10) but despite it all, Aelita is always front and center. the biggest issue Aelita suffers from is that her story arc was completely hijacked by #1 on this list awakening to her power. Thats a major side effect of trying to tell vivans story, but incorporating what is effectively a side story into the main plot. 4B. Keta likewise is fantastic in where love lies, his story is focused and actually makes the entire of the main scenario look coherent just because it focuses exclusively on Him, and Taelia. This is how you do a character arc as his tragedy serves as a perfect passing the torch for aelita as his successor; which in itself is poetic as she's the actual successor of his beloved. This is strong story telling and would be perfect if the dark future arc didn't cut into the finale 5. The protagonist. This is a hard one to talk about because there are way too many loose plot threads surrounding us, however i should say that the protagonist isn't handled very well. the Protagonist has actively watched the demolition of vitus's house be planned in advanced but does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop it. it's incredibly hard to as the player witness a scene, but deliberately do nothing about it. This would be fine if there was a reason for it, but there just doesn't seem to be. it had nothing to do with not wanting change the past because venam was actively trying to get involved in the past affairs and (We hadn't learned that lesson yet) aside from that, melia hogs way too much of the spot light from the MC and the rest of the cast as a whole. 6. Erin: this character is fine, she comes way too late but is handled relatively well. the revelation regarding her lineage is a really bad plot point and Alice, and allen are also kinda irrelevant side characters who are also getting shoved into the main plot. it's way too many characters to juggle and these 3 realistically shouldn't be as important as they are but it's too late now. EVERYONE ELSE: if they aren't mentioned here, it's because they aren't developed enough to care about. they absolutely have motivations but they're completely innocuous the progression of the story as some how we end up with more question than answers at every point. It's alot of bad writing but it's endearing and i love it so much. it's anime and anime is okay. Presentation in this game is masterful, it looks good, sounds good, and fun to explore all aspects of it. it's definitely more interesting than people give it credit for, but the writing being what it is definitely got on my nerves. ALSO THE AMBER MINI ARC WAS ACTUALLY JUST A BUNCH OF CAT FIGHTING AND CHILDREN WHINING. IT WASN'T ENTERTAINING IN THE SLIGHTEST AND ACTIVELY FELT LIKE THEY WERE STRETCHING OUT THE ALREADY DRAGGING TEAM XEN SAGA. thank goodness team Xen fell out of focus after this part of the story. Bladestar is pretty bad too, but thats mostly because i feel like flora didn't get enough development beyond just being an ass when we meet her, and Cassandra is literally just irrelevant to the main plot. there is also a lot of plot threads that are desperately in need of some attention. the fake protagonist and mom thread is still a thing so don't forget it. Time Travel didn't need to be in this story, but I actually think it's pretty well done. my issue is more so with the characters, the vaguely explored concepts, and, the poorly used tape holding it all together. P.s. Crawli knowing we needed to go to valor mountain, but then doesn't let us know there was a 2nd way in until you fail to retrieve the magma stone; is the worst kind of writing I've ever seen. If Jan ever reads this, please revise this before anything else in the game. it's never a good idea to lose super important plot item, only to be told that there was a backdoor preventing you from needing it in the first place. if that door was so dangerous, then put in an obstacle to reflect it like say a dormant heatran. but crawli sending us off only for us to comeback after fighting ducking GROUDON and being told there was a backdoor tehee actually triggered me.
  13. Pikachu Crest, Increases Base Attack, and Base Special attack to 100, and effect speed boost but lower HP, DEF, and SPDEF Eevee Crest, Increases Special Attack to 100, and Speed to 100, Protean ability with some unique moves (Good even be cool with the Transform Eevee
  14. Everything, the game looks amazing. Grand Dream City is a joy to visit and the story arc formula feels very good. The music is awesome, GDC and Gearen City themes are both bops. I love the lets players that play the game too (Shofu and Voltsy) the characters are hit or miss but I love Aelita, Ren, Melia, and Venam a lot. Kanon too but I really don’t like the change of direction he gets in Version 11. Chapter 8 was very good and served as an enlightening end to the Terajuma Arc and the beginning of the GDC Arc. I’m very much enjoying this ride and I’ll be sad the day this game ends. But super happy that I was along for the ride. I’d love more Side games like WLL, more lore is always a good thing imo
  15. i believe jan has said there will be a chapter where no badges is obtained but the main story will progress. i can't recall where though
  16. No dynamaxing needed, Mega Evolution and Z moves are fine.
  17. Some of these are technically lore inaccurate as Angie and Vivian’s Ace aren’t used in their battles, Regirock and Regice my personal Ace is Number 25, with a light ball and EV trained and HP Ice, we do good work
  18. It is a bug I had it and used debug to get out of it
  19. I don’t think that’s a good idea, if it was properly portrayed to your opponent. It’d make bulkier Pokémon way harder to deal with
  20. In competitive this could have some nasty implications. Dragon type Pokémon that are notoriously weak to ice like mence or chomp would carry hp Fire and now would only be 2x weak to ice making them way more bulky. The most scary example would be t-tar with hp fairy, immune to fairy resist fighting which is your best bet against it. unless I’m misunderstanding. Idk as this could become very difficult to keep track of outside of a competitive lenses.
  21. Venam sees nim hanging over the volcano and is made apparent of her situation. Though it means her memory is very good. It is technically consistent with Venam recognizing her. the braixen thing is true since I don’t think Venam is ever mentioned while braixen is near the party enough to know that we knew her. So good eye there
