Nah. Episode 17 added in all the Gen. VII Pokemon, which resulted in major changes earlier in the game. The changes early in the game here are minimal. If you want to restart I'd honestly just wait until Episode 19 comes out and the game is finished. Just keep playing for Episode 18. And it depends on the mod. In general no, they won't work (properly at least) due to changes. The TMX mod however has already been updated for Episode 18, so just download the new one and you'll be fine. Yes to the second, and probably the first as well. Episode 18 is out now, and you'll need to download it off the first page. When you start it up it will automatically keep going from your last save in Episode 17, but updated with all the new Episode 18 stuff. Going back will not work however once you save in Episode 18 (probably.)

Because she's depressed. That's why she needs Titania as an emotional crutch in the first place. Forgetting that Titania is faking it doesn't suddenly make that problem go away, it just means she has that small shield back.

It only has a 1% chance of showing up, so it will probably take a while to appear.

There's nothing inherently wrong with friendly rivals. The only ones that's really awful is Hau. And that's because he's an utterly worthless character with no redeeming qualities, has a terrible team, and is a complete and total idiot. The real reason people like the jerk rivals is because its been so long since we've had one in the mainline games (Gold and Silver came out in the NINETIES). And so people just got tired of the friendly rivals because when you have the same dynamic over and over again it gets boring. If every rival was an asshole everyone would be sick of that too. Add onto that that the "jerk" rivals have better teams and are more powerful than their friendly counterparts, with Barry as the only exception. Serena should have been powerful, but Nintendo seems to have actively made her a joke, saddling her with both a mediocre at best team, and also just three or four Pokemon for the ENTIRE game. By comparison Blue (and Barry) had four Pokemon by the second gym. Same with Cheren and May really. And like I said, Hau is just terrible in general.
