  1. Yup it's Drilbur. Unfortunately I already have one If you ever don't need a mon on a monotype, you should try trading it to your main game, Excadrill is super good in it
  2. Ooh I don't have a Vulpix yet, cool I don't have a sunny day setter on my main game so this'll be perfect for me Anyways, @FactoryofSadnesswe'll trade once the servers are back up, my username is RedAlert, just like on the forums!
  3. I didn't know about the Discord joke but I can't believe people think that i'm actually serious when I say Amethyst is a newbie
  4. There's also someone really new to the forum called @Amethyst, wonder if she knows..
  5. I can give you a Shroomish if you want, and I'll take the egg from you I think for the moment, the servers are down though...
  6. They just said it worked tho... Well, I guess I didn't read about the version in particular, I just thought the question was what to do with the patch itself. Anyways, yes, thanks for clarifying
  7. Copy and replace the folders in the Rejuvenation folder.
  8. So your first Rejuv run will be a monorun? Brave.
  9. I'll have to get back to you on that. Now that you mention it, I'm doubting whether it was actually Psychic that was used, it may have been just typed hastily. I copy-wrote that on Word a while ago...
  10. I'm guessing Lucario has its Attack stat maxed out in IVs, and maybe a Jolly/Adamant nature? But yes, I'm surprised as well. Because I don't think I've invested specifically in Special Defense.
  11. Ah yes, Nidoking does have a pretty good Attack stat, so Intimidate does drop more of the Attack stat than others. I just feel that Intimidate on Great Attack --> still Good Attack
  12. Yeah I guess that makes sense. I did consider the Intimidate but didn't think it'd make that much of a difference. Thanks anyways
  13. Well done! Completely agree about Victoria, she's a huge pain. Everytime we try to do something, she's like "No don't do this I'm gonna prevent you" and gets wrecked and is all mopey. Btw, why don't you try the mystery egg for a Breloom? It's really really good and has been really useful on my grass run so far. After Shelly, I guess most of the gyms will be a cakewalk! Ice, Normal, Psychic, Dark, pretty easy, eh?
  14. Odd considering his Nidoking is fully capable of almost OHKOing a defensive Tropius, which has tremendous bulk. Also, a Rose Incense-strengthened Leaf Blade from a Sceptile doesn't even do half HP damage, while a non-Rose Incense Leaf Blade took Kiki's Gallade all the way to red HP, no critical hits. Electivire and Gallade have similar bulk (Electivire being a bit better in terms of HP and Physical Defense) but surely it shouldn't have that much of variation. Yeah but I'm not talking about its offensive stats, I'm talking about its general inability to take hits, while Sigmund's in reborn seems to be taking hits fairly easily.
  15. Not sure where to post this, but I'll just as well do it here for now. Has Sigmund Connal's (the evil doctor) Electivire been given some serious boosts? I recall playing with Electivire once and it was fragile as glass, even resisted hits could take it down. However, Cain's Nidoking has trouble taking it down even with three Poison Tails. I am able to work my way around it, but I was curious to know if his Electivire's stats had been really upped because it manages to take down everything with a single attack while also shrugging off high power attacks. TL;DR: Just curious to know whether Electivire's stats have been altered.
  16. Flying should be good imo, go for it ;D
  17. Haha thanks for the response to the awkward question, I needed to make a quick 99th post. Who is your favorite reborn gym leader? What Pokemon (plural) have served you best in reborn? What is your favorite original game?
  18. Not completely sure with why that happens. If you're frozen, there might be a problem with your save itself, in which case, you can post your save file here: PS: This is in the wrong section, I think.
  19. [100th Post here!] Disclaimer: Sorry if this post seems a little off in comparison to the others: first of all, this particular post has around 30 images that I had to insert in correctly; secondly, I didn't play this in one stretch, but at different times (which would explain the weather changes). I wanted my 100th post to be a memorable, extra-large one and I ended up making one of not that great quality because I was in a hurry to make it, something I deeply apologize for. PART 7: Rejecting common sense to make the impossible possible? Defusing Cal and defeating Kiki! As usual, I'll display the newest addition to the team: The amount of soft-resets I needed to get a decent nature is over 9- yeah, 9. Just 9. Well, with Shade showing us a little preview of what had transpired earlier, we make our way to the Railnet, where Victoria paces back and forth. (It's funny actually, even if you go and stand in her way, she's blind to our presence). She then directs us to Coral Ward to meet up with Cain, who jumps off on his Muk. Give. Us. The. Key. Already. Luckily for us, Amaria shows up, who offers us her boat, which is awesome, but for a price... Investigating polluted factory #2 revealed Team Meteor's base. Amaria saves our life twice, I guess and she's a pretty cool girl but gets pretty edgy later on. Anyways, we come across a Ditto in the cage, so we can finally start breeding our male mons! But first... VS. ZEL Well, events occur. Solaris uses his Tyranitar to Superpower a human being. Wow. He goes beyond this soon. Amaria then gives us the key to the Harbor, and we take the boat to Apophyll Beach and battle some trainers. I also finally breed Thorn, my Roselia with Ditto to get a female Roselia, and breed it with Marimo, my Nuzleaf (after a lot of grinding) to get a brand-new Roselia! Please welcome, Thorn's grandaughter Blossom! (I'm sad about losing Thorn but Extrasensory is vital for my team!) We then trudge on to Kiki's academy, and are sent off on a mission to hunt for one of her best students, Cal the (apparent) fire master. This should be fun... Okay, I have to be honest here. I tried taking on Cal, and I was able to take out at least three of his mons until he sends out his Charizard. Until then I had gotten somewhere thanks to Breloom and Lombre, but both didn't stand a chance to it. Once I ended up getting a lucky crit, but that Blaziken of his put a huge dent in my team. So, I had to make a change. But not until it learned Hydro Pump at Level 44, after which I common-candied it down to 39 to avoid overleveling. VS. CAL Won't say it was easy, but it wasn't that hard thanks to Swift Swim Ludicolo. I did kinda feel bad about abusing her, but Cal woulda done the same anyways, nuking my mons without even setting up. We get back and Kiki is on all fours, evidently very ill. Drama ensues and Victoria is a bother again. People just love delaying us over and over again... I like this battle. A LOT. VS. VICTORIA Well, it's time to take down the Zen Boss! Our team for this battle will be: And now! GYM LEADER #6 - vs. KIKI Well since that's been wrapped up, we're all set to receive our badge and increase the level ca- wait, what? Kiki: “Please leave me. I wish to be alone right now” Thanks for reading!
  20. Did you talk to all the Ariados(es) on the way? There are 4 in total until that particular event, only then do all 4 appear.
  21. Precisely what other people said. Poor English and an unappealing storyline along with the GRIND THE HELL OUT OF EVERYTHING approach to it killed the mood for me. Unlike Reborn which prioritizes strategy, Dark Rising takes that element out and tries to tell you that Levels > everything. Lin would really enjoy this game
  22. Prankster Thundurus seems like a waste of its abilities, why not have a status move on it? It depends on what challenges you're facing really, Eviolite Dusclops is ridiculously tanky while Shaymin-Sky is a sweeper. I suggest you even out your team with two tanks + heal support, two wallbreakers, and one bulky setup sweeper. That's all the advice I can give, sorry
  23. While I can understand your reasoning, I still don't like her character much and still think it's a heavily clichéd. Vengeance is nothing new in a character. On the other hand, I absolutely love Titania's character. She is indeed vicious and it is indeed wrong to kill harmless Meteor grunts (well, not totally harmless), I'm interested in the way her character is developed. She likes Amaria, but not in that way, and she is willing to go over the top just to rescue her. (She even jumped down a fucking waterfall, jesus) this is all the more interesting because beneath the facade (eyyy) of a ruthless, cold-hearted individual there is actually someone who cares about another person, which I find admirable. This heavily contrasts Victoria, while she's a good person as well, I'm always super annoyed when I see her face around, whining "Oh I'm not good enough, why" "what are we gonna do" I don't really dislike her but she's just so bland as a character, lol Shelly does turn out to be more involved than I expected, I'll give her that. I don't like or dislike her particularly, but when I play I always try to imagine her as a real person and try to get the best reps with her. Victoria and Cal will go to the daycare have babies, period. Jk And I agree! I'm super excited for the next episode, more so about us and Lin's seemingly incredibly gory death (foreshadowed in Shade's gym) than someone like Victoria, lol. Heck, I'm more interested in Fernando than Victoria PS: Fern is a new insult from now on. Anytime we come across something despicable, we use the adjective "fern" for it
  24. I agree. I always thought Skuntank wasn't much, but I used it once in Rejuvenation and it was absolutely phenomenal. There are some Pokemon that are so underused but are so good ingame... Indeed, as funny as it may sound, I find Cain to be the most likable out of all the characters we've had major interactions with - Victoria is somewhat whiny, Shelly is the overdone scared little girl, Fern is a fern - the entire game is filled with such weirdos! Most of the characters, while being well-meaning, end up messing things up rather than actually being of any use whatsoever - starting with Amaria - she's supposed to be one of the highest ranking leaders in Reborn. I mean, yes. And she's put down by a Level 22 Tangrowth immediately. Now I'm not saying she should have the strength to overpower a Pokemon, but she should be at least smart/skilled/experienced enough to be prepared to face danger in a place that literally screams "danger". (Ignore us fallling into the Nuzleaf trap, btw). In short, a lot of the characters are well developed in some areas, and despite loving the game, I can't help but agree that some aspects about them have been thoroughly misused.
