  1. I really liked your critique on the whole chapter, Commander. But er... you said you did Where Love Lies, right? Apparently a plot point (though I only understood this myself because I read up the TV Tropes page) was that And I loved the investigation into Venam's personality, by the way. And the one that you did on Ren.
  2. Yeah, that's what I meant. She was technically there. Sort of.
  3. Progress further in V10 - she was technically there. You'll see at the end.
  4. I honestly think the Gauntlet is great the way that it is, even as headache-inducing as it can be. Everyone is lower leveled than I am when I go in to fight, but at the same time, Ame giving them tactics and thinking means that I (and everyone else) can't just bulldoze my way through everything. (In my second run at Cain and Shelly, my first move was to swap in my Espeon and bounce Sticky Web back at them. The first fight was very easy from that point). And it makes sense that Luna, Radomus, and Serra are all much stronger - these are their actual teams, not just the monotypes they stick with in their gyms. Cal was at first monofire, but that was changed later. You have to think in order to win unless you're bringing in a team of pseudo-legendaries at or near the level cap or something, and that is the whole point of this game unless I am mistaken. You usually can't just muscle your way through everything unless you're thinking about how to do just that, and it is not easy to do. I think Solaris was pretty well done - his team is about "strategic muscle" in a sense, basically using stat-boosting moves and bulky offensive pokemon to overwhelm you. As for Hardy, well... If i heardright, his preferred format online was triple battles, which it appears will not be involved in Reborn. His original strategy was apparently a Trick Room focused Rock team. So the "outspeed" theme he has here makes sense with that mentality, since it has a similar principle. But yeah, if you can outspeed him or survive his hits and avoid flinches, he doesn't have much left, it seems.
  5. Yeah. I think the idea of making rematches for leaders is good, but there's no way the teams they had the first time around would be as threatening now. They'd probably need to be changed around, have their pokemon powered up, maybe fight on new fields for some of the earlier leaders...
  6. I think Amber being annoying by putting the gym battle off (among other things about her) was more or less the whole point of her arc at first. Tesla even says she spoiled Amber too much. She seems to be trying to start getting better, but that's probably an uphill fight, right?
  7. I agree that your idea makes sense. But are you expecting sense from Terra? Of course, out of universe, well, none of her pokemon are Rock type and get a special defense boost from sandstorms, if I remember right. So there's no real need for her to send the Sand Stream user out first, I suppose. Well, that's my assumption, at least.
  8. Yeah, I think I actually remember hearing about that murkwater field idea for Hardy, so it's not just you. Not sure how they would do it, but I believe anything's possible... You have any ideas of your own?
  9. Florinia - Grassy Terrain Team (Singles) (Came up with this after I decided that we should probably involve the Grassy Terrain in the Grass leader’s battle). Bookworm Shelly (Singles) Sensei Kiki (Doubles) Wasteland Punk Aya (Singles) Prodigy Noel (Rainbow: Field is sunny at first - Noel has more defensive rain team) (Rainbow: Field is raining at first - Noel has more offensive sun team) Noel: Burning Field Team Firebug Charlotte: Singles: Ciel Doubles Adrienn Singles: Misty Terrain Focused Team Flotsam/Jetsam Amaria: Murkwater Field (Doubles) Amaria: Icy Field (Singles) Rockstar Hardy (Singles)
  10. Also in the last Episode the Pulse2 was released for Team Meteor, so knowing Ame, we will probably start running into Team Meteor enemies who have 252 EVs across the board for every last one of their pokemon... If I remember right, Solaris already had that with his Garchomp (plus the Mega Evolution). It was meant for mass production, after all...
  11. 1): There could have been lava on the other side of that door, remember? Crawli couldn't exactly tell if there was, and opening it to find out if there's lava there is... Potentially Suicidal? The entrance filled up with lava seconds after you and Venam went through if I remember right, you could have died if you were a minute slower, and you don't know in game that you can't die at that point. 2): Yeah, this was never really explained. At all. Well... Maybe Giratina was preventing it or something for everyone not Melia and shooting everyone's Pokemon down? Which just makes me facepalm that she's kind of acting like a main game Pokemon protagonist/player who hasn't quite figured out she is in the wrong place to do that, and went anyways. Sort of like Heather from Reborn, just slower to learn. 3): Yeah. Probably should have shown a picture of Saki building that or something - or just someone saying we should not hesge our bets or whatever. But yeah, the point is, Valor Mountain's leadup needs work.
  12. Good point on the searching thing. I have a few old consoles in my house - maybe I could get one of them hooked up to my computer. Actually, I have a pokemon XD game disk somewhere... Maybe I could replay that if I can figure out how to hook up one of them.
  13. I think that Reborn is a great game, and I am very grateful to all of the developers, whoever they are, for making this as great as it is (and also to Jan and everyone who is helping make Rejuvenation). But I think that I have sort of burned out on Pokemon Reborn for the time being, or at least playing the game itself. I have two more or less complete playthroughs of Episode 18 done, and one that is at the third Solaris battle with a "Air Nomad" limitation (only Psychic, Ghost, Flying, Fairy, Normal, and Bug pokemon, or pokemon with at least one of the first four types are usable), so I have nothing to feel ashamed of there, I think. I have just sort of lost interest in going for 100% completion on my current playthroughs and doing each and every one of the side quests. I was trying Insurgence a while ago (never got much further than the first gym before losing interest - I should try that again soon), and Rejuvenation has E11 coming up soon (the story there is also great), so I am hardly going to be unsatisfied for fan games, and I fully plan on sticking around - even if it's a long game, Reborn's story and characters are great, and the terrains, teams, and other such things just have more or less solidified in my mind as something the main series should throw in. People have almost certainly said things like this before on these forums - I think that I just wanted to say all of this somewhat aloud and vocalize my own thoughts. Thank you for listening, and have a good time.
  14. I'd say that Goodra might be a big help later, as well as Lucario - give the latter Flash Cannon boosted by the field, and one of the later fights should be much easier. Alakazam will probably not be much good, but you could give your Leafeon X-Scissor and that should help after Chlorophyll's speed boost. Florges is not a bad Pokemon, also, but it could use some more levels. And Heracross might be able to help as well.
  15. I have had way too much time on my hands lately. I sort of came up with a "tier" system for all the gyms here as well - if you have ideas, tell me your thoughts. I am open to suggestions. Guidelines (Came up with these to symbolize increasing difficulty, and as a reference to the old League (I never played or attended it, but still)). 1-5: (Julia, Florinia, Corey, Shelly, Shade): Use Z-moves and not always fully evolved pokemon. 6-10: (Kiki, Aya, Serra, Noel, Radomus): Use Z-moves/Mega Evolution/Pseudo-legendaries/Fully evolved pokemon. 11-15: (Luna, Samson, Charlotte, Terra, Ciel): Use Z-moves/Mega Evolution/Psuedo-legendaries/Mega Pseudo legendaries/Ultra Beasts. 16-20: (Adrienn, Titania, Amaria, Hardy, Saphira): Use Z-moves/Mega Evolution/Psuedo legendaries/All “lower” Legendaries (legendaries not over 600 base state total or are not "box" legendaries). (Last gym leader for each tier can use something from the next tier in exchange for not using Z-moves). EDIT: Currently the teams are more or less finalized - at least, each battle involves only six pokemon total. And again, ANY thoughts that anyone has on the teams I will gladly hear. (Tier 1) (Tier 2) (Tier 3) (Tier 4)
  16. Part of me wants to apply for a Beta application - but I have never really been an ideal tester, frankly, and I only started playing Rejuvenation in the last month or two. I hope you are finished soon, Jan - I am sure this episode will be just as good as the last one.
  17. As a minor question for Commander. If you think there are issues with the story (and I have to admit there are), why not just send a message to Jan? He does seem to be changing how the game works, how people talk, and how things look a great deal every update. Maybe he'll take your ideas into account, so the game "flows" better. (Say, if Crawli did show you the door in his gym at first, but said you could not go through because he had a thermometer or something that showed there was lava on the other side, so it would get you killed at that point).
  18. I've been playing Rejuvenation lately, due to mostly finishing my runs on Reborn, but I have run into an issue. When I go up against the Volcanion in the mountain base after Shadow Mewtwo, the Game.exe says that it has "run into a serious problem" and has to close. I have been using Wine to run the game, but I have heard recently about a Mac download for Rejuvenation but haven't been able to find it. Could anyone point me in the right direction for it (or if it no longer exists, suggest a way to let me fix the game and fight Volcanion/do it for me on their own computer or something?)
  19. Okay, here's the updated version, then. I tried to make replacements and take the requests into account.
  20. That was the main idea, really... I just went to myself, "it's Hardcore, right? So, how nightmarish can I make these fights while working with the fields they have?"
  21. Seriously? Go ahead, say or take whatever you might need from here. I came up with all this today (except Z-Azumarill, that was in the E17 beta), so getting a thumbs up feels pretty good (It's one of my days off from work, but still).
  22. I had no idea this existed. I do now. Thank you.
