  1. While I never really played Hardcore myself, sadly, I was sad to hear Commander decided to end the Mod, even if I can understand why he did it. Recently, however, I started to wonder about the idea of thinking up what the remaining Leaders of the Reborn League might have looked like if Commander had gotten to them. I decided to see what I could do - and while they took me a hour or so, i'm somewhat pleased with the results. And Commander, if you want to point out any glaring flaws I missed, as I am no competitive gamer in the Pokemon world, i'd appreciate it. And anyone else, if you want to make your own teams or something, give it your own best shot. General Restrictions: No legendary pokemon, Z-moves and Mega Evolutions both allowed on the team, but one of each only. Reborn Hardcore Teams (Adrienn, Titania, Amaria, Hardy)
  2. Amethyst has stated they will not be including Gen 8.
  3. Don't worry, dude. I didn't see it till my third play through, I think, and I am still working on that one.
  4. And if you took the right story route, you might have gotten the Shiny Charm (which I think makes it like 1/10 or something absurd).
  5. Dragon Mono PC against Adrienn: "I don't believe in fairies!" Amaria: "I really need help." Laura: "Are you always a smartass?" Charlotte: "No. Sometimes i'm asleep." Cultist: "Defend yourself!" Titania: "...Okay." (Pulls out Aegislash).
  6. We had the same thoughts, then - Lin's scary, no doubt, but I seriously doubt she wiped Ame's whole team with just that Hydreigon.
  7. My guesses are... The Gastly-Haunter-Gengar line The Magikarp-Gyarados line The Dratini-Dragonair-Dragonite line The Deino-Zweilous-Hydreigon line The Kommo-o line The Bagon-Shelgon-Salamance line
  8. I think that it was one of the kids that said it. The one who also says they were scared of Blake. I think they're on the ice rink?
  9. Or, you could go to the candy shop in the Obsidia (i think) Ward. They sell Common Candy there for 300 apiece.
  10. True, he has rotation. But... on the other hand, the only other pokemon he has that we know of right now are a Rhyperior at Fiore Manor (and I don't think you can catch Rhyhorn or Rhydon at that point in the game... though if he did have Rhydon, he'd have a better chance at winning until Cinccino came out) and Ludicolo, which probably still gets destroyed by Swellow's Brave Bird. He probably has something else on his PC, but considering he went up against Aya the first time with a team of grass-types, how arrogant he is in general, and how he referred to Noel as "a dumb kid", he seems unlikely to do much beyond heal his pokemon before fighting Noel and generally underestimate him. Considering Noel's reputation here on the forums, underestimating him seems like a very quick route to a crushing defeat. If Fern changes out one of his teammates for Rhydon before the battle (again, if he has Rhydon yet) and makes sure to get rid of Cinccino before sending Rhydon out, i'd give him better odds. But that really doesn't seem too likely, in my opinion.
  11. After a recent milestone in my third playthrough (I just defeated Noel, and then Fern), I had a realization when Fern said he was going to track down Noel to battle him. Noel was probably the worst opponent that Fern could have chosen with the team that he had. Radomus and Luna, the nearby Leaders, were probably both not too well-suited for fighting Fern, since their teams both have a weakness against his Scyther, which is very fast, and no real type advantage anyways. (Since he was headed south, he probably hadn't battled Serra yet). Fern's lineup at the time he fought us was - Ferrothorn, Fraxure, Scyther, Roserade, Serperior, and Krookodile. If Fern managed to find him, Noel's (equal/higher-leveled) team must have destroyed him even worse than Noel destroys most of us. Think about it - half of Noel's team has a Fire-type Hidden Power, which deals SE damage to 2/3 of Fern's team. Noel's first pokemon, Wigglytuff, is part Fairy type, and probably annihilated Fern's Fraxure with Dazzling Gleam before it could even attack. Scyther has no advantage against any of Noel's pokemon except Girafarig (and Scyther probably got destroyed by Swellow anyways). Finally, Noel's trump, Clefable, is fairy-type, and probably beat Fern's Krookodile with ease. So, if your day is going poorly, just imagine this particular matchup. And how enraged and humiliated Fern must have felt when a kid who probably hasn't even hit 12 years of age (who he couldn't fight again later to make himself feel better, since Noel was on the move at the time) more or less mopped the floor with him right after he and his team lost to you.
  12. Okay, that makes sense. Maybe not the same thing... but the idea for PULSE came from Mega Evolution. A "Porygon" of sorts. Sounds good to me. Thank you, ZEL.
  13. It can. Sorry... got caught up in the moment. And Alakakam doesn't count too much, Swampellow.
  14. Good point, sorry. But we never saw what PULSE Camerupt was... so for all we know, it looked like its normal Mega form, just beefed up a bit. I just thought it was an interesting idea. I know it won't change anything, but it seemed interesting.
  15. While I am fairly certain that PULSEs were created in Reborn before Mega Evolution entered the main Pokemon Series, the parallels between the two are clear (there's even a note on the TV Tropes page that PULSE Pokemon are basically being subjected to Mega Evolution's evil counterpart). But recently, when I was looking around, I discovered an interesting fact. Namely, several Mega Evolved Pokemon, such as Glalie, Aerodactyl, Lucario, and Salamance, all suffer from rather disturbing side effects when they Mega Evolve. Sound familiar? Also, there is the fact that, as far as we know, no Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution has ever been hooked up to a PULSE (Garbodor, Magnezone, Avalugg, Swalot, Muk, Tangrowth, Camreupt, Abra, Mr. Mime, Clawlitzer, are the known PULSE Pokemon. None can Mega Evolve). What if the PULSE System that Eve invented is (nowadays) literally a way of dragging out Mega Evolution's power from Pokemon who couldn't utilize said power naturally?
  16. I got it fixed by asking the mods, don't worry. But thanks.
  17. Yeah, it's the right building. I spoke to her, she said that "Blake Whitaker is on the top floor". The elevator let me go to the "top floor"; it's just that neither of them is there. I even checked the other apartment building; nothing.
  18. I could use some help here; it seems that I ran into a bug in Ametrine City that made it impossible to progress further in the game. Basically, when Shelly went up to Blake's apartment to talk to him, I followed her up there, but neither she or Blake were there.
