V9 story question:
Spoilerso there appears to be a story split based on your decision in darclight caves. how major is this split, and how many significantly different paths are there?

It annoyed me that when I sided with Erin in the caves, she told florin without asking me, which I didn't want to do. I played through the rest of the V9 story on that save already but I'm pretty sure I missed loads of bladestar stuff and I kinda wanna do that, especially as I heard about vendors selling useful stuff..... guess I'll be playing through the V9 content again...

@Hect I played through most of the actual choices in the cave, but I'm more wondering what happens in GDC due to each choice. and what things you get access to on each path.

So I just rushed through the main V9 story again, this time going with flora in the caves and telling her that I know. most things seemed pretty much the same, except you battle flora instead of florin for the gym badge, flora doesn't get arrested, and instead of the part in the Judicial district with cassandra, you go through a small sequence in the botanical gardens and bladestar HQ with flora and erin. still haven't found these "bladestar grunts in gdc underground" that supposedly sell a bunch of useful stuff.
I'm thinking with the paths, there maybe a third one where you just don't tell anyone what you saw, so I'd be interested to know what happens differently on that path or if you just end up on one of the others. I'm guessing there's no more than that, but if anyone else knows differently.....
might start a thread at some point discussing the different options here, unless anyone else wants to do it?

Anyone know of early heart scale locations for Rejuvenation V9? (approaching gym 2, but anything before gym 4 would be helpful)

Correct. Lurantis is also a bulkier, slower option. grass isn't that crucial to a team but it's nice to have.
in other news, greninja's level up moves are... difficult to work with shall we say. I'm dying to find another heart scale just to get night slash, and thats not even that great on mine because she's specially focused

I'm pretty certain you can't get "level 1" moves with common/reverse candy because a) I think they're not actually learned at level 1, thats just the easiest way to denote the fact that they can only be got with the move relearner, or if it started in that form (they're like 'defaults) and B ) even with common candy learning, you have to go a level below, and then rise to the level that you learn the move, and you can't go to level 0. guess I should pick up faint attack from level 33 though...

I think with something like this, it's really hard to know how difficult it will be without actually playing it, and will probably vary a lot from person to person. I also think it'll be a fun and interesting experience, regardless of how difficult it turns out to be. just my 2 cents.

I feel like these are going a little too far. having 140 attack and 100 speed with 120/90/90 bulk and literally zero type weaknesses on a starter pokemon is silly. as it is it's a very good bulky physical attacker that should be tough to take down. Grass is still a big threat but it should be possible to take a hit from some things with filter, and usually if you're leaving swampert in on a grass type, you're doing something wrong.

Type tweaks are good. the ol' drayano romhacks do a few of these like electric/dark luxray and bug/water masquarain (you could have a look at some of those maybe for ideas). Also a question, is this going to make everything (that's fully evolved) a more similar power level, except for certain things like pseudos and legendaries that should be stronger, or is everything getting a boost of a similar size? On another note, sort of as an address to the part about thunderfang, I wouldn't mind a few tweaks to move powers and effects either. nothing major though. Will pokemon availab

At first I thought this sounded similar to Reborn Hardcore, but it actually sounds pretty different. Sounds like quite a neat idea! The whole "everything is overpowered" thing can make for an interesting dynamic (kinda like 300% smash bros) and can change what's valuable in a pokemon. Because the buffs would be nonlinear and include movesets as well as stats, it would be interesting to train lots of pokemon do experiment and find out which ones were now great, so maybe an early lucky egg and/or exp share would be a good idea because of that? It would be interesting to see which pokemon saw the
