Yea that's due to Hurricane having very shallow distrubution. ((like it's not even all that common amongst flying types. But they at least have... something in Air Slash that has decent distribution. Whereas there's only Aura Sphere on the fighting side and... I'm pretty sure it's obvious why that little gem of a move is a pain to ever have lel.))

P.S. not saying Air Slash is a good option, jsut that... it exists. It existing is better than one not existing methinks.

Eh. Hardly is necessary. Practice is good but, writing takes more than one form. Jotting down notes etc... or mind writing. ((jsut kicking around ideas in one's head etc...)) absorbing media for research etc... a lot more can be part of the writing process that. So there's a lot you can do that is a part of it, all depends how you interpret it.

I agree. Reading helps too. Finding an other whose style you really love has done wonders for me.

Most importantly the passion shouldn't die out. It's a good habit to have, but improving your writing isn't limited to writing itself.
