  1. Don't forget Lightning Rod Goldeen for Julia (fisherman's house right above the train station) and Lotad in the Coral Ward for Florinia. Don't evolve Lotad until level 24, so it can get Nature Power, which becomes Sand Tomb in Florinia's field, which will really come in handy for her Ferroseed and Cradily.
  2. No "files" determine that, what the Mystery Egg will be is determined when you start a ran. There's no way to know in advance what you'll get. But since you're doing a monotype and it's pure luck what you get anyways, do the trade and, if you don't get something you can use, send me your save file.
  3. Nope I'd always pick a Gen 4 starter, Fennekin or, recently, Totodile. But Chimchar is now the only one of those that can be obtained only as starter, so I dunno what I'd pick if I restarted (or my laptop offed itself again -.- )
  4. I just love Wingull and Zigzagoon, too bad their evolutions both...suck. I also really like the better-looking Manaphy a.k.a Phione, regular Rotom for "flapping it's wings" and one of it's attack animations and I'd love a Shedinja plush.
  5. There is one, I believe. I just know it's down somewhere, in a dark area.
  6. I know this is a very small thing, but you know how moves have differently colored outlines based on what type they are? Like here and here? I really wish Hidden Power did that depending on what type you get. I know that there's online Hidden Power calcs, lists and even people in-game that'll tell you which type your Pokemon have, but it'd just be a neat touch, especially if you went out of your way to breed a specific Hidden Power.
  7. So a friend of mine, cook by profession, just moved to Switzerland for a job that pays literally 1000 Francs per month for 1 hour of work a day. WE'RE ALL IN THE WRONG LINE OF WORK

Add to that that they're giving him a free place to stay in the same building and he's free to use the kitchen for himself.

So he gets paid roughly 1040 dollars for 30 hours. Although that's a nice figure, living in Switzerland isn't cheap, so I guess he has to take an extra job?

^^Like I said, free place to stay and food, so he doesn't really Have many things to spend money on.

  9. To be fair, it's Psyduck. You could be given a level 100 one at the start of the game, people still wouldn't use Psyduck.

    day care couple

It's set when you get the egg. If you wanna speed up getting a shiny via the daycare, check out the pinned breeding guide in the Team Showcase section, you can use CE to get and hatch eggs within seconds.
  11. ^^That. I recall hearing somewhere that there's been belief in over 2500 deities throughout human history, including some as simple as a god who's in charge of nothing but rain. As science has been advancing, the number of things attributed to deities has been steadily decreasing. So if I had to pick a side right here and now, I'd pick atheist. (Even if I were to believe in god, I still agree with Sunbean. I'd try finding my own "relationship" with god instead of throwing in with an existing religion) But if I don't have to "pick a side", I'd say that it doesn't matter, because it would change nothing for me. It would change my life in no way. I'm just living my life and I'm doing so based on my opinions/beliefs/philosophies, the way I feel I should and that's all there is to it. It's weird to be saying this about myself, but I'm a nice guy, I lead a good life. And I do so because I'm like that, not because I'm "working for a ticket to heaven". If that means I'm boned for the afterlife, despite leading a good life, just for not being religious, well...fuck. As for others, they can do believe anything they want to as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't affect me in any way, so no reason to mess with that.
  12. I don't know for sure, but just with how CE works, I don't think there's any way to edit IVs. Though if you use the quick getting/hatching eggs thing and Power Items, it doesn't take that long. I think it took me 5-ish minutes to make a HP Rock Lilligant, so it's not like it takes that long. And I don't think perfect IVs are worth the hassle IMO.
  13. You might wanna look through here in the future. And now, cause that trade was changed in E15, you now get a Munna for giving him a Bibarel.
  14. You really don't need a rotation if your main 6 are good enough. Going off the offensive types you have, you currently have no Poison, Ground, Psychic, Rock (only Ninetales HP), Bug, Dragon, Steel or Fairy moves. In order: -I won't recommend any Poison type beside Venomoth. You already have a Ground weakness going on (although HP Ice Heliolisk in sunlight solo'd the Ground gym for me), so only Crobat and Venomoth are at least neutral, but Crobat doesn't add anything since you already have a Flying type and Venomoth gets Bug, Poison and Psychic coverage, along with Tinted Lens and Quiver Dance. To get it Sludge Bomb, it's Skrelp>Snubbull>Roselia>Paras>Venonat. -Krookodile, Stunfisk and Rhyperior are great Ground types. Again, I really do think you can handle Ground types, so Stunfisk and Rhyperior should be fine. For sets: Moxie, Earthquake, Crunch, Fire/Thunder Fang, Rock Slide via Camerupt/Stone Edge via Rhyhorn. Static, Scald, Discharge, Earth Power, Yawn. Scald and Earth Power via Panpour>Corsola>Stunfisk. Solid Rock, Earthquake, Stone Edge/Rock Blast, Megahorn/Poison Jab/Fire Fang/Ice Fang/Hammer Arm. -For Psychic, Reuniclus really seems like your best bet. Malamar and Sigilyph are also options though. Regenerator/Magic Guard, Psychic, Shadow Ball, HP Fighting, Calm Mind or Psychic, Shadow Ball, Trick Room, Energy Ball/Thunderbolt. I'd recommend the TR one as it can help Empoleon and Gourgeist out. Contrary, Superpower, Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Rock Slide Magic Guard, Stored Power, Cosmic Power, Charge Beam, Air Slash/Icy Wind -For Rock, Gigalith, Archeops, Tyrantrum or any Shell Smasher. Sturdy, Curse/Explosion, Earthquake, Rock Slide/Stone Edge, Heavy Slam. (Heavy Slam, Curse and EQ via Onix>Golem>Roggenrola) Acrobatics/Bounce, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Dragon Claw Rock Head, Dragon Dance, Head Smash, Earthquake, Dragon Claw. -For Bug, Escavalier or Armaldo. Swarm/Shell Armor, Iron Head, X-Scissor/Megahorn, Drill Run, Knock Off Battle Armor, Rock Blast, X-Scissor, Aqua Jet, Curse/Knock Off -For Dragon, Druddigon or Flygon. Sheer Force, Sucker Punch, Superpower, Dragon Claw/Outrage, Iron Tail/Earthquake. Levitate, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower/Iron Tail -For Steel, Metagross or Bisharp. Clear Body, Agility, Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Brick Break Defiant, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Iron Head, Brick Break/Rock Polish(E15 TM)/Psycho Cut. -For Fairy, Clefable, Granbull, Sylveon, Azumarill. Cute Charm, Stored Power, Cosmic Power, Minimize, Charge Beam. Intimidate, Play Rough, Earthquake/Crunch/Fangs/Close Combat/Outrage. Pixilate, Trump Card, Shadow Ball/Light Screen/Hidden Power Ground/Round/Swift/Yawn. With Pixilate, Trump Card's final 200 BP hit is turned into a 390 BP nuke (and the hits leading up to that are also not too shabby. it's usually 40, 50, 60, 80 and 200, but with Pixilate it's 80, 100, 120, 160 and 390) Huge Power, Waterfall, Play Rough, AquaJet+Belly Drum/Bounce+Superpower
  15. Well, since you've got a screen setter, the easiest way to beat him would be to get a Simple Calm Mind Swoobat, set up a Light Screen, bring out Swoobat and CM 3 times, heal when you get low. Kind of a pain to get the friendship up, but you should have a good amount of money by now, so just abuse the salons. I'd also recommend you ditch Shuppet and Phantump, Gourgeist is a better Trevenant and Banette is just really bad without it's mega.
  16. 'bout you saying you don't want any movesets that take a lot out breeding, check out the pinned breeding guide in this section. The CE stuff there can let you finish up on 1-2 minutes per member. First of, props to using Empoleon, love that thing. Dunno what set you're running on that, but it's quite good as a sweeper with Agility, Ice Beam, Surf/Hydro Pump, Grass Knot. Grass Knot is a TM you'll get before gym #14, so you only need to breed Remoraid>Horsea/Wingull/Surskit//Buizel>Piplup for Ice Beam and Agility, though you need to do it in E12 or earlier (read the guide). Loving the Heliolisk+Ninetails combo, using that on my main file. I'd say Heliolisk is the best Electric type even without sun boosts, let alone with Solar Power active. For their sets, best are Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, Hidden Power Ice, Dark Pulse for Heliolisk and Nasty Plot, Flamethrower, Energy Ball, Hidden Power Rock/Ground. HP Ice is really necessary for the coverage it provides, so read up on the guide here, take this and have at it. (Heliolisk also get Surf, but because sun weakens Water moves, HP Ice is much better, especially since it actually lets you hit Grass/Dragon types). For Ninetales, you'll mostly just be staying in and spamming Flamethrower, you'll almost never need your other 3 moves, but if you wanna have a good set, that's that. Hidden Power Rock provides muuuuuuuuuch better coverage than any other options, but then again, you'll rarely be using something other than a Sun boosted STAB, so whatever. Just make sure to give it a Heat Rock. You'll need pre-E13 for Energy Ball. Hawlucha's easy. Unburden, Acrobatics, High Jump Kick, Swords Dance, Rock Slide (or Feather Dance to make setting up easier) and stack up on a Bunch of Flying Gems (gems don't interfere with Acrobatics item-less boost). Another option is Mold Breaker, Bounce (Agate tutor), High Jump Kick, Stone Edge/Rock Slide, Swords Dance and give it a Wide Lens to boost accuracy. To get Stone Edge or Rock Slide, just breed Timburr>Hawlucha in pre-E13. Gourgeist is good for your team, since you've got quite the Ground weakness going and Gourgeist is the best physical wall in the game. With Phantom Force and Protect, you get hit once every 3 turns, while WoW and Leech Seed take 1/4 of the foes health every turn. You get Will-o-Wisp and Protect via Yamask in pre-E13. If you wanna get a more offensive Grass type, since you're running Sun, Chlorophyll Victreebel is a great option as it also gives you Poison coverage for Fairies. A good set would be Chlorophyll, Solar Beam, Growth, Giga Drain/Solar Beam, Weather Ball. You need to breed Skrelp>Snubbull>Roselia>Sunkern>Exeggcute>Roselia>Victreebel in pre-E13. For your 6th, I wouldn't go for Mamoswine. You already have good Ice coverage, and you've either covered or aren't threathened by the types Ground would hit. I'd say get a Durant. With Hustle, the thing's essentially got 190 base attack. Hone Claws, Iron Head, X-Scissor and Rock Slide is the best set, even swept the Fire gym for me.You get RS and HC via Skorupi>Dwebble>Durant in pre-E13.
  17. Well, since the main reason almost no one runs Mega Medicham is it's speed, how about a Trick Room team with it? It outslows everything that's neutral base 75 Speed and above. I'd prefer either Bronzong or Cofagrigus as Trick Room setter, but I really don't mind if you use something that works better.
  18. Gen 1-5 had both Egg and TM moves be passed on, but only the ones the father knew. Gen 6 had only Egg moves be passed on, but by both parents.

  20. What. Why does Starmie even learn Grass Knot? Anyways, that works. Although it's probably vest used instead of Power Gem. Water+Ice is only resisted by Water types, ehich Hrass hits SE, and Psychic is Stab. Icy Wind's speed drops can also.come in handy. ...hidden power is one of the most used moves in competitive, and for good reason. Let's ignorehow good getting to choose a moveof any type is for stuff that has terrbile natural movepool variety, like Gengar; a lot of things wouldn't be able to function without it. For example, Nasty Plot Cofagrigus. With NP and TR, it's coverage relies on only Shadoe Ball and one otger move. Shadow Ball and HP Fighting have perfect neutral coverage, while the combo of SB and any other move it gets make NP Cof unusable.
  21. To be honest, there's quite a few better Ghost, Water, Flying and Psychic types around. See, Dusclops, Meowstic and Pelipper don't hit hard...at all. Dusclops and Pelipper have good bulk, but they have no way to use it, really. And Meowstic's Prankster can come in handy, but the only worthwhile move it has to go with Prankster is Yawn. For actual recommendations, I'll be going off all options, of which a lot can only be gotten by breeding in pre-E13, check the pinned guide here for details (and if something's not explained well enough, feel free to PM me): Ghost types being the rarest type doesn't help with variety, but there's still way better than Dusclops/noir. Mismagius, Chandelure (if you beat gym #8 just now, you can get this one 2 gyms later), Gourgeist, Shedinja and, the IMO best for you, Cofagrigus. -Mismagius is just a fast strong attacker and has the most variety of all of these. Power Gem, Thunderbolt, Magical Leaf, Psychic, Charge Beam, Icy Wind and a very fast Destiny Bond. -Chandelure hits even harder, but it's speed is low. Low enough for it to be able to set up and work well in Trick Room, which your team would appreciate seeing as nothing you have is terribly fast (though Chandy's not the most reliable TR setter by ever). Also gets some good moves with Energy Ball and Psychic, and Heat Wave for all the double battles ain't bad. -Gourgeist is the best physical wall currently in the game (because it takes next to no damage from any physical attack, gets Leech Seed and Will-o-Wisp to drain 1/4th of the foe's health per turn and absorb some of it and the combo of Protect and Shadow Force makes it invulnerable for every 2 out of 3 turns while the statuses whittle the foe's health down). -Shedinja actually works a lot better than what you'd expect. Of course, it's toast if something with an SE attack comes in, but there's still plenty of foes that have at least one Pokemon with no way to hit it, yet they just stay in and let you set up to +6. Hone Claws, Shadow Sneak, X-Scissor, Shadow Claw/Dig. Come in on something you can HC on, Shadow Sneak everything else because you're very likely to be outsped with that glorious 40 Base Speed. -But I do think Cofagrigus is your best bet. It's stronger than Dusclops, physically bulkier, actually useful for something. Said something being setting up Trick Room and attacking (with or without NP boosts before that). It's best set would IMO be Nasty Plot, Shadow Ball, Hidden Power Fighting, Trick Room. HP Fighting is by far the best option for a 2nd attack, but if you don't wanna breed for a specific Hidden Power (which isn't all that hard, check the pinned guide in this section to see read). Water's got quite a few good things: Kingler, Crawdaunt, Huntail, Clawitzer, Empoleon and Relicanth being the ones that...do anything worthwhile, while Feraligatr, Empoleon and Gorebyss are the best Water types in the game IMO. Sets: -Sheer Force, Agility, Waterfall, Rock Slide/X-Scissor/Brick Break/Knock Off for Kingler (Archen>Corphish>Krabby for RS and KO, Kricketune/Karrablast/Ninjask/Dwebble>Skorupi>Krabby for XS and KO, Corphish>Archen>Anorith>Krabby for all RS and XS or all three) -Adaptability, Knock Off, Waterfall/Crabhammer, Swords Dance/Dragon Dance, Aqua Jet/Rock Slide/X-Scissor/Brick Break. Aqua Jet is pointless if you aren't using SD, chains for RS and XS are the same as for Krabby. -Water Veil, Waterfall, Shell Smash, Ice Fang, Sucker Punch for Huntail. -Mega Launcher, Water Pulse/Scald, Ice Beam/Dark Pulse/Dragon Pulse/Aura Sphere/Sludge Wave for Clawitzer, the chain for Ice Beam and Scald is in the guide. -Rock Head/Sturdy, Head Smash, Waterfall, Earthquake, Zen Headbutt/Yawn for Relicanth (Whiscash for Zen Headbutt and EQ, Wooper or Whiscash for EQ). -Any Ability, Surf, Ice Beam, Hidden Power Grass/Electric, Shell Smash for Gorebyss. Psychic is also an option for a 3rd attack if you're too lazy to get the right Hidden Power, but HP Grass/Electric works much better. You can also go Baton Pass. -Torrent, Agility, Surf/Scald/Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Grass Knot for Empoleon. Chain in the guide. -Sheer Force, Waterfall, Ice Punch, Crunch, Dragon Dance for Feraligatr. There's also the mystery egg from the police in the Jasper Ward, which can give you, for Water types, Tentacruel, Starmie and Azumarill. For those: -Liquid Ooze, Sludge Wave, Scald/Surf, Ice Beam, Wring Out/Acid Spray. Or be real and use SD, Waterfall, Poison Jab, Knock Off Tentacruel which is surprisingly fun. -Natural Cure, Hydro Pump, Psychic, Power Gem, Icy Wind/Minimize. -Huge Power, Belly Drum/Waterfall/Aqua Jet/Play Rough/Bounce/Superpower/Brick Break/Body Slam. For Flying types, there's Crobat, Swellow, Staraptor, Honchkrow, Swoobat, Sigilyph, Archeops, Braviary and Hawlucha that are worth any time. Sets, in order: -Inflitrator, Nasty Plot, Venoshock, Air Slash, HP Fighting/Ground. -Guts, Facade, Brave Bird, Protect, Endeavor/Thief. -Reckless, Close Combat, Brave Bird, Double-Edge, Mirror Move/Thief. -Moxie, Tailwind, Sucker Punch, Night Slash/Mirror Move, Drill Peck/Brave Bird. -Simple, Calm Mind, Psychic/Stored Power, Air Slash, Charge Beam. (btw, with Simple and Stored Power's power, the number of boosts isn't doubled, only their effectiveness. You can get the effect of +6 when you're at +3, though you can keep setting up after 3) -Tinted Lens, Stored Power, Cosmic Power, Air Slash, Charge Beam. -Defeatist, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Acrobatics/Fly/Bounce, Endeavor/Dragon Claw/Crunch. -Sheer Force?, Tailwind, Superpower, Brave Bird, Crush Claw. -Unburden, High Jump Kick, Acrobatics, Swords Dance/Dig/Rock Slide/Poison Jab. And for Psychic types, Gothitelle, Reuniclus, Alakazam, Metagross, Delphox, Malamar and the ones already mentioned up there^^: -Frisk/Competitive, Psychic, Calm Mind, Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse, HP Fighting/Energy Ball/Thunderbolt/Charge Beam. -Regenerator/Magic Guard, Psychic, Trick Room, Shadow Ball, HP Fighting/Energy Ball/Thunderbolt. -Magic Guard, Psychic, Shadow Ball, HP Fighting/Energy Ball/Thunderbolt/Charge Beam. -Clear Body, Agility, Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Brick Break -Magician, Flamethrower, Psychic, Grass Knot, Shadow Ball. -Contrary, Superpower, Psycho Cut, Night Slash, Rock Slide. That's that then. If you want anything explained, do tell/PM.

Or my home. I'm lonely, dammit

    Shadow Ball

You are most likely gonna get it in one of the upcoming episodes. Just like when the Grass Knot/Nature Power switch was done for Florinia, where that one Meteor base gives you whichever one you don't have, that's most likely what's gonna be done with Shadow Ball/Claw. And if you picked up a duplicate TM, it might've been Rock Smash, that's a bug some people have had. To make sure, check if you have the Secret Power TM (found where Mudkip was in the Wasteland).
  24. Look through here and pick your favorite spot, I suppose.
