  1. All of an egg's specifics, including moves, are chosen when you take it. So take the egg in E12, then go back to E15.
  2. You can use the pinned topics in this section for that, especially this one.
  3. It's good. It's best set is that, but with Bulk Up instead of Milk Drink (which is pointless anyways, we have healing items). But there certainly are better Grass types. Those've already been discussed in some other topics, so mind if I copypaste? -Tangrowth is really physically bulk, has both great attack and Sp.Atk and learns a bunch of interesting TMs (when we get them). -If you can get lucky and get a Lilligant with Hidden Power Rock (or breed one to have HP Rock(check the pinned guide in this section for details)), it can sweep entire teams for you. Ideal set is Quiver Dance, Sleep Powder, Petal Dance (make it's ability Own Tempo) and Hidden Power Rock. -Gogoat has a pretty alright Bulk Up set, BU, Earthquake, Horn Leech, Aerial Ace/Bounce. -Torterra is a really good one, hits hard, really bulky and all. -Roserade is not the fastest thing ever, but it does have good stats and can make any Hidden power a 90 BP move with Technician. -If you go back to E12 and breed Swords Dance onto Abomasnow, it can do some work if you get a boost or 2, especially since you're running Trick Room. -Leavanny's fast, hits just a little softer than things like Torterra, but gets Sticky Web...which doesn't help you with Trick Room, but hey, it's there if you wanna change things up. -Gourgeist is the best Grass Type, best Ghost type and best physical wall in the game. But only if you are willing to go back to E12 and breed Protect and Will-o onto it. The exact set and what it does is in the guide. But tbh, there's not much of a point to running 2 Grass types. It IS your starter, but non-mega Sceptile is pretty mediocre, so maybe bench it until we get it's Mega Stone and the Ring.
  4. ┐(‘~` )┌ Whatever floats your boat although the chain is literally just Wooper>Corsola>Archen but ah well. Good luck with that!
  5. Right, mixed up SpD and Speed. I guess that's fine, but you can see what I'm getting at. Could be, same power (100BP if foe has an item), it's just that EQ's coverage is way better. Yeah. But still, just like with all the Megas, it's a matter of if and when the hell we're gonna get any, so let's think about Aqua Tail and Zen Headbutt when they're available.
  6. Still, it's not that hard to outspeed Mamo and it's Sp.Def is not that great, so it's nice to have a back-up Ground move for when Mamo's down, since that let's Archeops hit all of it's weaknesses super-effectively (except for Water). And it's also a matter of "what the hell else do you run?" since it's way better than all other non-STAB moves it gets. Iron Tail is pretty bad, to be honest. It hits Rock that's also hit by EQ, Ice that's hit by your STAB and Fairy which is...Fairy, the only decently-physically bulky Fairy types are Azumarill (100-80) and Granbull (90-75), nothing else is gonna take a physical move well at all.
  7. Wait, so what are you running? Acrobatics, Rock Slide, Dragon Claw, ___?
  8. Fly is only 5 BP stronger than Bounce, and Bounce has 94% accuracy with a Wide Lens. Though if you want power, just run Acrobatics. I only listed Wide Lens as an option. And U-Turn is one of the best moves in competitive, but it's a waste of a moveslot in-game. In comp, you use it for momentum, but in-game, no enemies ever switch, and 70 non-STAB BP is nothing to write home about. Also, Psychic types that are very physically-frail, so you don't need anything for them if you already have a physical attacker as powerful as Archeops.
  9. Yeah, no Defeatist is no issue...mostly cause it likely won't live anyways, but then again, none of the 4 flying types mentioned in this thread can take hits well. And I know you're saying you're not a fan of breeding, but check that guide. It shows you how to use CE to finish it up in a few minutes. And EQ really comes in handy, so I'd say it's definitely worth it. Also, that's only 3 moves I run EQ, Rock Slide, Acrobatics and Dragon Claw (DC cause Dragon-type's weaknesses aren't common, so having a fast strong SE hit on them should come in handy against Saphira). If you're not going for EQ, I'd say make Endeavor your 4th move. Oh, and another option for a set, if you want an accurate Rock STAB, give it a Wide Lens and replace Acrobatics with Bounce. Bounce is a bit weaker, but you don't have to worry about missing RS and Bounce has a 30% paralysis rate. Btw, Crunch is bad coverage. Ever since Radomus, we've been seeing almost no Psychic or Ghost types.
  10. Swanna is just bad. For Noivern (which has a terrible nature btw, you DON'T want -Sp.Atk on a special attacker) and Aerodactyl, Noivern is better. But Aerodactyl is just a bad Archeops, and Archeops is way better than Noivern; hits harder, a bit frailer but neither can take a hit, way better coverage (Rock Slide/Head Smash, Earthquake (E12 breeding, check the pinned guide in this section for details), Crunch, Dragon Claw, Endeavor, Shadow Claw, Acrobatics/Fly/Bounce, Iron Tail). Defeatist can be a pain, but you can still use Endeavor for that, and it hits so hard, you won't get hit because the foe's gonna be killed in one Shot most of the time.
  11. *gasp* A COLLECTOR! I hope you aren't looking for Leavanny, cause then I'd have to run away before even saying "Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay" or "Make a topic in the Team Showcase section if you want team help/advice/bragging-rights".

    Little Teddy

Whether it shows up or not also depends on your progress, I think? Either way, I'd say look for another "cool Pokemon". Teddiursa is a pain to train, evolves only at level 30, and Ursaring is mediocre. Ursaring can almost solo Corey on the mist field, but that's the only niche it has.
  13. Nope, but I've only ever had one run where I had more than 6 team members (and even then, it was just 8).
  14. The ends, if they justify the means. If the overall result is good, so if the positive results at the end of it all outweigh all the bad done along the way. So killing a man to save 10, a-ok sure, we could also get into who/what the people in question are and that's something to take into account, but I'm just describing the idea here. Burning a house down to kill a spider, nope but understandable, fuck spiders
  15. Special just doesn't pack enough of a punch on it's own. Either make it special with Solar Power and a Drought Ninetales around or go physical with Dragon Dance.
  16. http://oi62.tinypic.com/14npw8y.jpg Why am I fighting this man on the ladder??? Showdown, what the fuck.

Oh. Basically, my Showdown rank is 1500 now while his isn't even shown, so that was his first game in OU.

also yea... that's ladders for you... sometimes they are pieces of shit lol.

  17. Poison is easy. Radomus is almost no challenge since you have Drapion and Skuntank as immunities and a bunch of SE hits, such as Scolipede, Nidoking's Earth Power vs Metagross, etc, etc. For Terra, you have all the Grass types, Nasty Plot Crobat does work, Nidoking with Ice Beam hit everything bar Quag hard. And Weezing completely bodies her. For when we fight Titania, that'd be a real challenge if you have no Nidoking/Toxicroak, so that's the only real problem I can see on a Poison run (I'd know, did one).
  18. Hope you enjoy your stay. Should you ever want team help/advice/bragging-rights, make a topic in the Team Showcase section and give me something to do.

    Farfetch'd

As you can see here, it's in the grass and only has a 5% chance of showing up. "Happy hunting".
  20. Monotypes ARE supposed to be an actual challenge, so Gyarados would be too much anyways, IMO. And they are, but for their physical defense. Their bad Sp.Def and numerous weaknesses aren't doing them any favors.
  21. Water oa rather eh IMO, the first 2 gyms are tough, but manageable. Dr.Connal is gonna completely stop you if you fight him in the Yureyu Building. Also, there's really not that many good Water types, the starters, the crabs on Apophyll Beach, the fossils, Piplup on 7th and mountain Pokemon are the only ones that are really worth using. Rock is slow and specially frail. There'a only 2 ways it can go. Either you get anihilated by one of any of the many weaknesses or you magic your way past Florinia and get 6 Sturdy Sudowoodo/Bastiodon with Counter/Metal Burst. Ghost, Ice, Dragon and Rock are rough cause they have very few or no early options, all of those + Bug and Grass have a lot of things that can give you a really rough time, if not completely stop them (barring some strats like the 6 Bastiodon). Everything else isn,t bad.
  22. Been here for a year and a half, just found out a "Customize Skin" feature exists. *sigh* I don't like me
